Pulldown list invisible if options aren't selected?

I have a form I send out to clients where I pulldown menu is used for multiple rows. The first option in the list is "Select Item", followed by the rest of the selections. Is there a way that the field won't be visible in print when the option is left on "Select Item"? I still need the information if an option is checked.

You can use this code (adjust the form field name in the first row to match the one in your file):

Multiple Selection not working on List Box Properties/Option Screen

When I select multiple selection on the List Box Properties/Options tab, I get no difference from the single selection default. It still highlights only the last of the multiple entries (like a single selection) and displays only the last entry. Is there something else I need to do?

To select multiple items, you need to hold down the Ctrl key when clicking additional items.

The best I could come up with was to use the second layout I mention and then add some Javascript on the page to do something like

</script>Basically, it takes that "Radiogroup Option 2" and the form input field and uses absolute CSS positioning to place it to the right of the Select list.
Works great in FF (as usual), but the usual IE inconsistencies with CSS box model rear their ugly head. Looks terrible in IE, totally mis-aligned.

How to avoid ranges option in the select option.

    In the selection screen, when the user press the extension button usaually we are getting four columns. those columns are 2 sinlge vals, 2 ranges. but as per my requirement, user wants to display only one single val column in that dialog window.

Hello Math,
There are two ways of restricting the records with 1200 & 1300 values in output list display -
1. Either restrict the records while selecting the data from database using SELECT query. This can be achieved by ranges table populated with the values, which won't select the 1200 & 1300 records.
Find the following code for this -
TABLES: TAB1.
RANGES: R_FLD1 FOR TAB1-FLD1.
R_FLD1-SIGN = 'I' .
R_FLD1-OPTION = 'EQ'.
R_FLD1-LOW = '1000'.
R_FLD1-HIGH = '2000'.
APPEND R_FLD1.
R_FLD1-SIGN = 'I' .
R_FLD1-OPTION = 'NE'.
R_FLD1-LOW = '1200'.
R_FLD1-HIGH = '1300'
APPEND R_FLD1.
SELECT * FROM TAB1
    INTO IT_TAB1
    WHERE FLD1 IN R_FLD1.
2. Select the data first in internal table first and then delete the entries having 1200 & 1300 values.

Preselect an option in html:select

I am implementing struts in my application. How do i preselect an option in <html:select> tag
here is what i am doing but the option does not get preselected.. the collection below returns A, B , C etc..

If you go into Edit > Preferences then on the General tab on the popup that you get you should be able to select which types of content 'show' - tick the box against 'Books' :
Books then show under your 'Library' - if you select it, are those audiobooks listed there ?

In transaction code QS42, there is no FIND option for Catalog Selection list. Please advice whether it is possible to provide find option for catalog selection.

Hello Ravindra,
In the transaction QS42, there is F4 help for Catalog.
You can give serach parameters there and get the required catalog.
Other than this if you want to change the selction parameters of the transaction QS42, then following are the steps -
1. Tcode - QS42
2. Menu Catalogs -> Selected Sets -> Display
3. Selection screen will change accordingly. You can revert back to original screen similar way by the menu Selected Sets.

Since Apple has stopped supporting and offering iDVD you'll need to purchase the iLIfe 11 disk from a 3rd party retailer like Amazon.com: iLife 11 which will include iDVD 7.

List- Export- Spreadsheet option disabled in ALV Report

Hi,
In one of the ALV Report the option List->Export->Spreadsheet option is disabled. How to enable that option?
I am calling the REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY Function module with the following parameters

I saved My itunes library to an ehd and now my playlists are gone. When I tried option hold and selected it from ehd and added it to my library it copies it but as soon as I eject the hard drive it says choose or create new library when I launch iTunes

I saved my itunes library to an external hard drive and my playlists disappeared. I tried holding down the option button and selecting choose library and selecting the library from the hard drive. When I do this it opens up and everything comes back. When I add the library to my itunes I can see it copying the music but as sson as I unplug the hard drive I have no itunes at all. It says the folder containing the itunes library cannot be found and is required.
Please Help!

You need to make sure it is connected and mounted before launching iTunes.

Mix of Parameters & Select Options in a Selection screen in WD4A

Hi All.
I just created my first selection screen in WD4A couple of days back.
Now, we have to mix up some parameters and select-options just like in normal ABAP.
But I could only find a way to insert a "Range" into the WD4A screens via "Create_Range_table".
Supposing I have 2 select-options, then 2 parameters - i.e. no Pattern or range or intervals options (simple = option); then again 2 select-options.
Can't we make a simple Parameter option in WD4A selection screen? I know we can make no_extension and no_intervals as true so that it does look like a parameter. But still user can enter a pattern search in it like a select-option.
Hope my query is clear.
Another question is : As far as I understood, we ALWAYS need a IT_RESULT table in the method ADD_SELECTION_FIELD. Then why is it not mandatory in the method?

In an early version of SelectOptions, the parameter it_result was mandatory. Some time later, a developer contacted me and showed me an example where it was benefitial to first create the field and to pass in the range table at a later point in his algorithm. This can be done by calling set_range_table_of_sel_field( ). Hence, the parameter has become optional. Of course, a range table needs to be specified before the page gets rendered.

we have copied the Standard program: RFDOPR00 into Z, my requirement is to disable one of the select-options in dynamic selection screen for ex: Reason code(User shouldnot able to enter anything in it).
Can anyone please tell me the procedure to do it... I had tried using at selection-screen but it doesnt work as it in 'LOOP AT SCREEN', i am not able to capture the Parameter name(screen-name).

Hi,
Get inside your selection screen, by executing your program.
Now type /h in the field where you enter transaction code and press enter.
Now again press enter, this will take you debugger starting from your Selection screen.
You might be knowing this, still if you are not aware of this, this might be a valuable tip.
From here , you can trace your Parameter name.
