Pulling image from 1130AG

Hi all. I have a couple 1130AG switches. I'm trying to pull an image file from the flash on a Cisco Air AP1131AG. The file is
c1130-k9w8-mx.124-23c.JA4.tar. The issue that I'm seeing is, I do not see a copy command to go through the tftp process. I've tried to use tftpd32 and enter the IP of the AP as the remote host, but that is not working either. Do I need to connect an ethernet cable straight to the AP in order to use Tftpd32, or can I use a console cable?

I got an image (it wasn't the exact same but I thought I would try it). I've tftp'd the file over to the AP, and added "boot system %filename%" to the running config and saved it. I then did a reload. when the new image tries to load, I get a "Permission Denied". The file has rwx as it's file permissions so I'm a little confused as to why the permissions would be wrong.

Screensaver pulling images from who knows where...

All,
I'm a bit confused here. My screen saver used to be an album in my iPhoto. However, seemingly out of nowhere, it was pulling images from who knows where and all over the place.
I have deleted my iPhoto library and re-imported my images and re-made my albums. But, have not fixed the problem. I have also verified and repaired permissions and rebooted also not fixing the problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try com.apple.screensaver.[long alphanumeric number].plist, if you can find it on your machine. I just changed my Screensaver preferred folder and then did a File Buddy search for .plist files that had been modified in the last 5 minutes, and that one turned up — among a few others. I doubt that the number in your plist's filename would or should be the same as mine, and that's why I didn't include mine above. The path to my file is:
HD>Users>My username>Library>Preferences>ByHost>file

Pull image from library with AS3?

Hello, I'm a fairly experienced AS2 programmer transitioning
in progress to AS3 programmer. I'm using Flash CS4 as my IDE with
Actionscript 3 and Flash Player 10. I'm working on a bigger project
but the area I'm struggling in is dynamically pulling an image from
the flash library (already loaded). I've been finding the same
answers to my question all over and they seem to keep producing the
same error so apparently I'm just not getting some little detail. I
have an image loaded in the library called test1.jpg. I've right
clicked on it and selected 'Export for ActionScript' and 'Export in
frame 1'. The class is 'MyMc' and the Base class is
'flash.display.BitmapData'. My code is attached.

You will; it just takes time. Everything I know is something
I scraped
from online tutorials, read from books, or asked of friends
on IM.
Eventually, the principles of OOP finally gelled in my head.
To me, OOP is
more about organization than anything else. It's not
something magical or
mystical (which took me a while to believe!) ... it's just a
way of
arranging code into reusable nuggets called objects. Each
object is defined
by its class, and generally speaking, classes organize their
functionality
into properties, methods, and events. Those three basic
categories refer
respectively to characteristics the object has, things the
object can do,
and things the object can react to.

That's only true when you're dealing with timeline code. In
custom
classes, especially in AS3, you have to import just about
everything. But
if you're in a keyframe of the timeline, you only have to
import classes
outside of the flash package (such as, for example, the fl
package, which
tends to hold components; the air package, which holds AIR
APIs, etc.).

imports are required when Flash needs to know how to define
the objects
you're referring to. If you're using 3rd party classes, like
TweenLite,
then you would need to import those packages/classes ...
because Flash has
no idea what a TweenLite object is without that information.
In custom
class files, you have to import everything that isn't a part
of the core
functionality (that is, anything that isn't a part of the Top
Level items
listed here ...

It certainly doesn't hurt anything to import packages; it
only "hurts"
when you fail to import a package that needs it, so to play
it safe you
could import everything. Just bear in mind that anything that
truly needs
importing must be imported for every frame in which you refer
to that
package's class(es). If a keyframe in your timeline
instantiates a
TweenLite object in frame 10, you'll have to do the import
there. You
should be able to *use* that instance in any frames after
that, even without
another import. If you then decide to instantiate *another*
instance in,
say, frame 100, you'd have to re-import the TweenLite class
in frame 100.

Pull images from SQL/PHP into Flash

I have a website that displays images that are stored in a
SQL database using PHP as a method for pulling and displaying the
images. These images are stored in the database as text (ex:
image1), then the PHP looks for the image like this:

I seem to have this one working, kinda. It has an array and
automatically numbers the buttons, but there are some buttons, that
ask SQL to return a photo that doesn't exist. For instance, there
is no 7 or 8 ID in my SQL, so those buttons don't work:

Help with Sony Digital Camcorder DCR-SR42 Pulling Images FROM Camera to Mac

I need some help...I purchased a Sony DCR-SR42 camera and used it while on holiday. I can't seem to figure out what software I need to pull the movies from the camera. After MANY calls to Apple Tech support (and being told that I HAD to buy iLife 08, which I don't want to do if i can avoid it), I finally found somebody who said that I could use freeware MPEG Stream Clip to pull the videos from my camera and convert to MPEG4, then I can use iMovie HD 06. All this is with the assumption my computer recognizes my camera as a harddrive (which I'm not sure, and I'm at work without computer OR camera).
My question is this - does anybody have any experience with THIS camera (Sony DCR-S42) and what to do with iMovie 06?? Any and ALL suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

Yes, only iMovie 8 will accept a video stream from a hard disk camera.
All other versions of iMovie will not: they require a DV stream from tape via firewire.
In other words, your camera is incompatible will all versions of iMovie except version 8.
To convert to mpeg4, or even DV which is what iMovie is intended for, you need:

Pulling images from folders or desktop to Photoshop (Mac)

Hi,
I'd like to know what is the best way to add new images to my Photoshop.
For example, I have downloaded an image that I want to insert to my PS doc.
if I want to add that file to my existing Photoshop doc, I will need to drag it first on top of the PS icon on Dock and the drop it to the existing PS document.
Of course i can always open the file from Photoshop menu but is there any other way,

You don't put anything into Photoshop nor add images to it.
You open your files with Photoshop wherever you put them. In the Finder you can move them around at will.

Don't know that you can with Reader. You should ask in the Reader forum that is linked at the top of this forum. In Acrobat it is easy, but Reader does not have the editing capabilities of Acrobat and it is probably not directly possible.

Pull random images from iPhoto library folders

I'm trying to come up with a script to pull random images from my iPhoto library and copy them to another folder that I can then use with another program (GeekTool) to display them on my desktop.
What I'd like to be able to do is pull 30-50 of these images at a time. I can use GeekTool to call the script at a given interval (eg. every half hour) and have a completely different set of images everytime the script is run.
I'm a complete obliviot when it comes to applescripting, so I'm at the mercy of the experts. I've managed to find a couple of scripts that can do something similar with the screensaver, but I'm unable to figure out the script enough to make it do what I need.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Any particular reason for those specific technologies? wget does not exist on a mac, although you can nstall it I guess. OS X has curl installed which should do pretty much anything you want to do with wget. cron is being replaced by launchd, although cron still exists on mountain lion.
As far as I can tell from automator all the standard 'actions' to access keynote available to it require keynote to be open and running, but does not provide a function to actually open it. So I think you will have to write some applescript, as a minimum to open and quit keynote. I notice that the keynote actions are mostly circa 2005 an wonder if they would even work.
Under utilities in automator 'actions' there is a capability to add applescripts as part of the workflow.
Also, note that cron is being dprecated by Apple and replaced by launchd. that said cron is stil on my mountain lion instalation.

Pulling video from a disk image?

is there anyway to pull video from a disk image or would i have to burn to DVD then rip the video back to my computer? if so, does anyone know of any good ripping software?

no, a disk image is an image of a disk (what have I said right now???), meaning, as the content of a physical dvd, you're not able to change any content on that "virtual" disk... (maybe some mpg voodoo masters can, me not)

best practise anyhow, is to go back to iM project! you're loosing quality with ripping dvds, they use a socalled lossy compressor.... so, in any case you have the project, a backup, some Quicktime-dv copy of it.....?

Sorry, by mapped i meant what you described above...changing my designated media folder to the one on the new EHD.
I did try holding in the option/alt key as suggested by apple elsewhere in the forum but only opened the a window indicating where the shortcut file is located i.e. the iTunes.exe properties window. I tried the shift key too as well as several other but could not get the window asking me to choose a library.
Tried to copy a screen grab in but it doesnt allow me to.
When i opened the player after moving the folder there was nothing in my libraries except for a few purchesed songs and movies saved on icloud. I got my music in by going to file>add folder, and selected the music folder on the new drive. This "imported" my music to the player.
I must mention also i am using Win8 and the latest version of iTunes, but i live is South Africa and ive noticed my laptop keyboard keys/functions on the HP are different from previous computers i have used.
Where should the playlst files reside when using an EHD? Still on the main computer or on the new EHD?

Insert an image from a Database

Hi - I am trying to insert an image from a database into a webpage. Basically when clients register on the site they upload their logo which i want to come up when they look at their account details and when they post a job. When I test the file upload the file name is in an "image" field in my database and the image is in the website files on the server but I am having problems trying to get the logo to shop up on the webpage. I have one table called Recruiters where all the client's contact details (and logo upload goes) and a table called jobs where all the job details go when they post a job (this does not hold the logo upload).
At the moment i am trying to insert the image into the Recruiter account Details page where all the clients contact details are and all this information comes from the Recruiter table (including the image) but the image does not appear. the query in my recordset is:-

Would you be able to help me out with inserting the logo into a job post page and the recordset I will need to insert the logo?
Basically I want to add the logo that is uploaded when a client registers on the site onto a job info page. To access the the details about a job, jobseekers just click on the job that interests them which takes them to the job details page which pulls all the information from the "Job" table in the database. However, the logo is stored in the "image" field in the "Recruiter" table in the database.   I have tried setting up a recordset as:-

Dynamic images from disk in AIR on Linux

I have a relatively simple AIR application that pulls image
paths from a database and then attempts to display that image by
setting the src="" attribute of an <mx:Image /> tag. On my
Windows development machine this all works swimmingly, however,
when transferring the application to Linux, the images only display
as the "broken image" icon, as though they can't be read from disk.
I've definitely verified that the images are where they're
supposed to be, and that the files are not corrupted. I've used
.nativePath to avoid problems with the file system differences. To
wit, here's the relevant code:

EDIT: I forgot to mention, this is RedHat Fedora 6 I'm

I'd be suspicious of using nativePath since Image is
expecting a URL. Should be easy to check anyway.

I created a few smart albums that just show images from October, November, etc. Now I'm trying to pull a few images from each of those albums into a regular (not-smart) album (it will be of highlighted images, one from each month).
When I drag the image across, the plus sign is there, and it looks like it works, but when I click on the regular album, it's empty.
The only way I can find to extract an image from a smart album to a regular album is to choose the image and select "new album from selection", but that won't work as I intend to pull many images into a single regular album.

Nah, tried that. I have the new album set to "Show All" and no other filters.
I would appreciate it if someone else tried this and could say if they can reproduce it.
