Query OLAP - Total Problem

Hello People,
Our problem it's related about, a Query OLAP, we put the Period Gen 4, as rows:
Jan
Feb
The table reflect the order in the outline, but when we add Total, the order is alphabetic, it's any workarround, to disable this automatic order?

Problem when querying OLAP for Value based hierarchy

Hi I have problem when querying OLAP for value based hierarchy , for level based dimension it work fine
the strange part is if I only put one value, it will work perfectly
for example if I put only 1 value for that value base hierarchy like CF_HIER::426362, then it will get the correct value for that id 426362
but if I put multiple value to the list
CF_HIER::426362
CF_HIER::424470
CF_HIER::429073
CF_HIER::424230
then only some value will come out correctly, some of them will be 0, I wonder why because if I query using each value, then it show correct value
for multiple value usually only the top in hirarchy give correct value, but the leaf will give 0, but if I query only the leaf, the leaf will give correct value
this problem only happen for my value based hierarchy, for the level based hierarchy it work fine both for each value or multiple value in the list

ABAP Query Quantity totals wrongly - M.Type 101+, 102-

Hi Friends,
Could any one help me in this? I created an ABAP Query for the combination of T.codes MB51 & MB52. When I see the total qty for the item which has GR and Goods return document.........say first by 101 I rerceive 5 nos and using 122 returns 3 nos. Here Query shows total is 8nos instead of 2 nos.
The same way correnponding price also shows for 8nos instead 2 nos.

You can use MSEG-SHKZG field for +(plus)/-(minus) indicator where 'H' is -(minus) and 'S' is +(plus).

Cascading LOV in BEx Query OLAP Universe + BEx variable

Hi gurus,
we have an universe where a Cascading LOV has been defined based on a BO Hierarchy ( based on a BW hierarchy), the OLAP universe is based on a BEx query.
Now, when the users create a WebI report selecting a value from the value list, the Cascading LOV appears and the user selects the value, descending by the nodes.
We are analyzing the universe performance and we are testing to add some time BEx variables in the query ( in the current version no variables are used).
Everything works properly but when we try to select a value from the Cascading LOV and try to select a lower level the webI returns a mdx error indicanting that the time variable is not informed. (WIS 10901: A database error ocurred; MDX query can not be executed: specify a value for the variable Z... )
We thought that the mdx for the LOV get values from the MD table because in the infoobject definition, it has the Business Explorer Settings:
Query Def. Filter Value Selection = Value in Master Data Table
Query Execution Filter Val. Selectn = Value in Master Data Table
The Query Execution Filter Val. Selectn can be defined at the infoprovider also (with the provider specific Properties of the infoobject) and also at the query, whe have not modify none of them.
My first question is which settings has efect at OLAP Universes, the infoobject settings; the infocube settings or the query settings ?
Are the Cascading LOV integrated with BEx Query OLAP Universe?
Is it an application error?

That was one of the possibilities we have analized but the problem is that the user has to inform the hierarchy level for all the reports, that kind of variables is translated in the universe as a prompt
Now we have only one universe and some business analists users create reports themselves for the business area based on that universe.
The users create WebI filters without prompts,just filtering the hierarchy node. If we add the BEx variable then the user sould inform the prompt for all the reports based on that universe.
We want to avoid that prompt, we have several hierarchies in the query for different infoobjects.

Query in item problem

Hellou everybody.
I need your help. I am using forms 6i and i have a block with some non DB items. But items are synchronize with DB items for viewing results. I use this items for diplaying results from DB tables. In enter query mode i write condition in this text items and execute query.
My problem is that i have text item which is VARCHAR2 type and I need to enter the condition for example > 1000. But i don't know how to convert this field to number. When i execute query under char type it not work properly (other result). I tried to change data type to number but i can't because it's not alowed to mixed types.
select * from table_name where pag_cis > 100 - i need this
select * from table_name where pag_cis > '100' - i have this
Can you help me???

You may use the set_block_property procedure built-in and the 'default_where' property so as to execute the query using the contents of your item (with the name of column , of course).
Afterwards , you navigate to the db items block (with go_block('blockname')) and execute the query (built-in 'execute_query').

Grand Total problem

I have grand total problem. This is my pivot table.

B - SUM type
How to make obi calculate grand total like this:

Is that posssible?
Would it help to add *<ReportAggregateEnabled>true</ReportAggregateEnabled>*

Conceptually Report Aggregate Enabled should work. Look into this blog article which refers same.

I am building a Query for Total runtimes for Process Chain Statistics. I used the Cube 0TCT_MC21 for Query - 0TCT_MC21_Q0101.
I dragged in Keyfigure section - startdate, end date, Start time are all correct and fine but the End time (0TCTENDTIM) is coming incorrect. Is something else i should use to get the End time?
Please let me know if any suggestions?

Error querying OLAP universe based on BEx query

Hi all,
I have a problem extracting larger (more than 80 000 rows) amounts of data through querying an OLAP universe with WebI.
The error is:
Query 1 - NAME_OF_THE_QUERY
A database error occurred. The database error text is: Error in MDDataSetBW.GetCellData. &INCLUDE INCL_INSTALLATION_ERROR. (WIS 10901)
The error occurs when I define larger scope of analysis in the query (four levels). With more modest scope (three levels or less) it's working OK. I need larger data set (more than 200 000 rows) to be populated at night through scheduling the report. We can't afford shrink the scope of analysis because it will hit the BW server during the day when it's needed by other users.
Besides this the speed of the report refresh is very slow - more than 3 minutes per just 400 rows of data. I'm still unable to identify the source of the problem with this slowdown. Executing the same query over the web through the SAP BW BEx Viewer is much much faster - just 3 seconds. Maybe the reason for this is that the BEx viewer aggregates data on the higher level of the hierarchy rather than down to transaction level (like we do by expanding the scope of analysis).
Anyway, if anyone have ideas about the error above I'll be very grateful if you share your thoughts. Thanks!

Could you point me to an official SAP document regarding the 1 million cells limitation, which describes the exact version and patch level for SAP BW which removes this limitation? It will be very helpful for me because I have to convince the client to migrate BW from 3.0 to 7.01 if it will solve this limitation.

I don't see any problems with your code.
You should have an ORDER BY clause, of course. Almost all queries need an ORDER BY clause, but that's often omitted in this forum.
If you want to put labels, such as 'Total 1' and 'Grand Total' on the super-aggregate rows, you can use CASE and GROUPING, like this:

Monthly Sales Order query Doc Status problem

My mission for the above query is to have Total Monthly Sales Orders with value exluding the cancelled and closed sales sales ( close here means - which are manually done by right click on sales order screen and selecting Close )
Please guied how to solve this issue because in the back end for Sales Order which have turned to deleivery are showing doc status as closed and the sales order which are manually closed are also showing doc status as closed. How to diffrentiate between them.

I have made a sq01 query and set the call up report at "Report assignment" function. The drilldown total level of my query is 1 and I found that this makes the report can't pass the selected data (with cursor) to the receiver report correctly. I can't change the drilldown total level as 0 due to the user requirement. May I ask is there any other way to solve this problem? Thank you.

Query Active Directory + Problem with thumbnailPhoto

I have a problem and I don’t know if it is my SQL Query, so here goes

I have a view on my SQL server that Queries our Active Directory. I can see that there is data in the table.<o:p></o:p>
But when I try to use the Image in some C# code I get an error on 60% of the images with the exception header missing or corrupted.

How can i use index in select query.. facing problem with the select query.

I am facing a serious problem in one of the select query. It is taking a lot of time to fetch data in Production Scenario.

Error when querying OLAP data with BI answers

Have been doing all the Lessons in "Using Oracle OLAP With Oracle BI Enterprise Edition 10g Release 3". Got till lesson 3 where I'm supposed to query the data with Answers but If I add any of the facts to the report, I get the following error:
