Hi Sivaprasad,
For this kind of requirement you need to create two different variable's with processing by customer exit.
For 1st colum - As there is no field in the backend that captures only date from complete calender date, so with wich value u want to do the comaprision of value 13 ??
For 2nd column - Similarly there is no time field in the system that capture's only month value, so again u will put restriction of this value on which info-object ??
Can u please elaborate your requirement more clearly so as to help u better.
Thanks

  • Query output to have Day out of the Date

    Hi,
I have developed a BEx Query with 0CALDAY in Rows and few key figures in the columns.
My BEx Query output needs to be just Day out of the Date. So if Calender Day is 26.03.2009 then in the query result I need to display '26' only.
Can you please let me know how this could be possible?
    Thanks,
    Amogh.

    Amogh,
    Strange requirement!!!!!
It is feasible via Modelling i.e
    1. create new Z infobject say Zday.
    2. Add it ur data target. Delete the data and reload the data.
    3. Map Ocalday to this object in Transforamtion and put below code
       Result = SOURCE_FIELDS-CALDAY+6(2).
    4. Include Zday in Bex query.

in the field group, double click field name to be changed. I tried to change it. The changed name is only reflecting in the list output, but not in the selection screen.
I want the text to be changed even in selection screen.
2)I want to change the position of the column ie end(last colum) to 8th column in the report output. Please help me.
Environment -> Queries -. I tried with 'Output sequence' and given no as '8'. But is not reflected and the column is still displayed at last column.
    Please help me

Go to Query and go to selection field and change the selection text.

  • Change layout of Adhoc query output list for Custom infotype

    Hi All,
The fields in the Infoset query output on a custom infotype are aligned with the fields u2018payment typeu2019 and u2018amountu2019 appearing repeatedly(in columns) as declared in the Infotype and the output will be a long horizontal list.
Instead, the requirement is that the output list should show vertically so that If I choose u2018Payment Typeu2019 and u2018Amountu2019 as output fields, it will show a long vertical list as in the case of a standard infotype (IT0008).
Also, this way enables user to use Payment Type as a selection criteria so as to just pulling the needed payment type. When we use IT0008 in the infoset it works fine but in custom IT it does not work.
Any pointers/suggestions on how we can achieve this would be helpful.

    Hi yu liang,
You can find vendor list having Vendor No. & without showing total liability for every vendor.
    after executing the report,
1.You need to select "change layout (ctrl+F8)",
a small window comes, it has two part -> column content & hidden fields.
then u select "Vendor" from hidden field & move it to column content.
    2. at column content there is a column named "Total". u need to remove check for your column name "amount".
now select "copy" button or enter. u will find the req. report.
u can save it also by ur name.
    hope its helpful to u.......
plz, reward points as a way of thanks if helpful...

  • Need help changing query

There has been change to requirements and i'm not sure how to change my query to handle the changes.
The table basically has entries for each end point of a connection and the query combines the from/to row. Now the requirement change is that the connection can have multiple end points with a single "from" end point. SO the result set may be multiple rows for a connection with the same "from endpoint" and the different "to endpoints".
The query is below ( Sorry about the bad formatting)
Basically the "seq<=2" is no longer true and there is no finite limit. If there are multiple endpoints, the key is that for each result "row" the "from endpoint" will be same but different "to endpoints"
I can do a "SIGN(seq-1),1 " to get the multiple rows but don't know how to remove the "max" without getting a "not a GROUP BY expression" error.
    Please help. Thank you.

    Hi,
    Welcome to the forum!
Sorry, I'm not familiar with your tables or yopur application.
Can you post a few rows of sample data, and the results you want from that data? For the sample data, executable CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements (or CREAT TABLE AS statements) are best.
Simplify as much as you can. for example, it looks like you're currently producing two sets of five columns (id, name, ra field and ran). Is it practical to ignore, say, name, ra and field for now? Once you learn how to handle id and ran, you'll probably know how to handle the other columns as well.
What version of Oracle are you using? (Always post this when you ask a question. You don't want to try an answer that won't work any more than I want to write an answer that won't work for you.)

  • Pagination query help needed for large table - force a different index

I'm using a slight modification of the pagination query from over at Ask Tom's: [http://www.oracle.com/technology/oramag/oracle/07-jan/o17asktom.html]
Mine looks like this when fetching the first 100 rows of all members with last name Smith, ordered by join date:
    SELECT members.*
    FROM members,
        SELECT RID, rownum rnum
        FROM
            SELECT rowid as RID
            FROM members
            WHERE last_name = 'Smith'
            ORDER BY joindate
        WHERE rownum <= 100
    WHERE rnum >= 1
and RID = members.rowidThe difference between this and the one at Ask Tom's is that my innermost query just returns the ROWID. Then in the outermost query we join the ROWIDs returned to the members table, after we have pruned the ROWIDs down to only the chunk of 100 we want. This makes it MUCH faster (verifiably) on our large tables, as it is able to use the index on the innermost query (well... read on).
The problem I have is this:
    SELECT rowid as RID
    FROM members
    WHERE last_name = 'Smith'
ORDER BY joindateThis will use the index for the predicate column (last_name) instead of the unique index I have defined for the joindate column (joindate, sequence). (Verifiable with explain plan). It is much slower this way on a large table. So I can hint it using either of the following methods:
    SELECT /*+ index(members, joindate_idx) */ rowid as RID
    FROM members
    WHERE last_name = 'Smith'
    ORDER BY joindate
    SELECT /*+ first_rows(100) */ rowid as RID
    FROM members
    WHERE last_name = 'Smith'
ORDER BY joindateEither way, it now uses the index of the ORDER BY column (joindate_idx), so now it is much faster as it does not have to do a sort (remember, VERY large table, millions of records). So that seems good. But now, on my outermost query, I join the rowid with the meaningful columns of data from the members table, as commented below:
SELECT members.*      -- Select all data from members table
FROM members,           -- members table added to FROM clause
        SELECT RID, rownum rnum
        FROM
SELECT /*+ index(members, joindate_idx) */ rowid as RID   -- Hint is ignored now that I am joining in the outer query
            FROM members
            WHERE last_name = 'Smith'
            ORDER BY joindate
        WHERE rownum <= 100
    WHERE rnum >= 1
and RID = members.rowid           -- Merge the members table on the rowid we pulled from the inner queriesOnce I do this join, it goes back to using the predicate index (last_name) and has to perform the sort once it finds all matching values (which can be a lot in this table, there is high cardinality on some columns).
So my question is, in the full query above, is there any way I can get it to use the ORDER BY column for indexing to prevent it from having to do a sort? The join is what causes it to revert back to using the predicate index, even with hints. Remove the join and just return the ROWIDs for those 100 records and it flies, even on 10 million records.
It'd be great if there was some generic hint that could accomplish this, such that if we change the table/columns/indexes, we don't need to change the hint (the FIRST_ROWS hint is a good example of this, while the INDEX hint is the opposite), but any help would be appreciated. I can provide explain plans for any of the above if needed.
    Thanks!

    SQL> set autotrace off
SQL> spool offAs you will see, the join query here has to have an ORDER BY clause at the end to ensure that records are correctly sorted. You can not rely on optimizer choosing NESTED LOOP join method and, as above example shows, when optimizer chooses HASH JOIN, oracle is free to return rows in no particular order.
The query that does not involve join always returns rows in the desired order. Adding an ORDER BY does add a step in the plan for the query using join but does not affect the other query.

  • Creating data output based on changes to fields

    Hi
I am using SQL Server 2008 R2 BIDS and need to produce a weekly report whos output only shows changes from the previous weeks report and not sure if this can be done or where to start so any help very much appreciated.
    The scenario is this.
I have a table where data is uploaded automatically (date created) and there are three main fields that can change. There are over two thousand rows added at each upload.
Column1 will be the date created
Column 2 will be a monetary value
Column 3 will be a reference number
In the example above with one reference number the first three rows there is no Amount change so each time the report is run this would not be included in the output. In Row 4 there is an amount change so this row should be included in the report output.Row
5 changes again so the next time the report runs this should show in report output. There is no change to Amount in Row 6 or 7 so these should not show in the next report output.
If the report was run on 20/03/2015 then there would be no output as no previous changes
Similarly if the next report was run on 10/04/2015 then it should show the changes on 26/03/2015 and 09/04/2015.
There could be NULL value in the Amount column and again if at some stage an Amount was uploaded then this would show a change and should be included in the next time the report run.
Any changes to data from automatic upload then need to manually adjusted and to save a user comparing thousand of rows i was hoping that by creating a report to only highlight changes would be a great time saver.
I hope i have explained this okay and any thoughts or assitance would be great
    Thanks
    John

    Hi
I have put the query into SQL Server Management studio to test using the table field names but it doesnt seem to giving me the expected output. This returned over 111392 rows. I have filtered this to just show the reuslts for tency_seq_no 200002 which
    returns 57 rows.
    DECLARE @InputDate Date = '2015-04-09'
    ;WITH cte AS
    SELECT *,ROW_NUMBER() OVER(ORDER BY trans_date)
    -ROW_NUMBER() OVER(PARTITION BY grs_val_trans ORDER BY trans_date) rn
    FROM hratrans
SELECT MIN(trans_date)as DateCreated, grs_val_trans, tency_seq_no, rn FROM cte
    WHERE rn <> 0 and trans_date < @InputDate and con_sou_cd = 'HB' and tency_seq_no = '200002'
    GROUP BY RN,grs_val_trans,tency_seq_no
This is in fact showing all weekly transactions over the past year for this particular tency_seq_no.
However i only want the report to show any changes since the last time the report was run. So in the image shown below for tency_seq_no 200002 if i select 09/04/2015 as the input date i would want two rows in the output showing -62.11 both on the 09/04/2015
as this was a change from the previous -61.11 recorded on 26/03/2015.
The image below just shows part of the table hratrans
Likewise if i had used an input date of 12/03/2015 at -60.71 then there would be no output for this as the previous date of 05/03/2015 was also -60.71.
    Thanks
    John

  • Ad-Hoc query output issue

    Hello Experts,
Recently we have upgraded the system and we are facing issues with Ad-Hoc query output.
Issue : After entering data in selection fields and click on "OUTPUT" button we  are getting output. now I changed the selection field  data and click on "OUTPUT" button then we are getting message "No Data selected".
But when clicked on "HIT LIST" button for changed selection fields then we are getting HIT LIST count and after click of "OUTPUT" button we are getting output.
So at this point this is unclear why it is working after HIT LIST? This is not consistent but appearing most of the time.
    Regards,
    Saurabh

Thank you for reply. Yes I have checked SQ03, 02 and 01.
It is not specific to particular query it is appears to be for all the queries.
The important thing is to get the output we need to click first HIT LIST button and then OUTPUT. Is there any specific settings maintained for displaying output without clicking HIT LIST ?

  • Query output list - SQ01

    Hi Friends,
When i execute a query by tcode SQ01 & save the result in local file (unconverted) as text format, then it gives many unescessay fields, like header text, description date cloumn headers etc.
I want only the result (ASCII characters) that are seperated by space or either "tab" only.
Can it be done through "Encoding" ? or do we need to change the query itself ?
    Please help.
    regards,
    Rohit

Yeah it is clear visible that, the same combination might have available in different plants.
So to avoid the duplicate entries, always select all the primary key fields available in all the tables in the output.
If not atleast try restricting based on plant in the selection screen or any possible duplicate entreis.
So add the key fields at Infoset level in SQ02

  • Modifying the text "Result" and "Overall Result" in a BEx query output

    Hi,
    1) Is it possible to modify the text "Result", "Overall Result" which appears in the sub-total and grand total lines of BEx query output? I do not see any related setting the properties area of the object in BEx Query designer. Do I have to write some VB code or can I do something in Customer Exits?
Also my client wants that this text need to be made dynamic such as "Sub-Total for the month of Jan 2006".
I can use work book option and change the texts manually. But this is not meeting my clients requirement.
2)Is it possible to have dynamic title text for a BEx query?
We are on BW 3.5 & if any of you could provide / guidance to the above issue.
    Thanks,
    Venkatram

You will have to use VB Macros to change the text "Result" and "Overall Result", there is not settings in the query designer for the same.
You can have dynamic descriptions for queries using text variables like Expense Query for month of Jan 2006, if user selected Jan 2006.
    Thanks.

  • New outputs generated when changing logical system in output master record

    Hi!
We are sending documents from ECC 5 to a legacy system via XI/PI. We are about to move from an old XI installation to a new PI installation. The output record used (for example in a billing document) is set up based on logical system. When moving from the old to the new platform, we need to change the output records from the old logical syste to the new logical system. However this leads to generation of new outputs in all billing docs when opened in change mode. This goes also for billing docs where we already generated outputs via lthe old logical system in the past. Is there any solution to prevent the automatic generation of outputs for documents where the condition type already was successfully processed (as it works when the logical system is not changed)?
    Best regards
    /Björn

Normally the same output is not supposed to be generated, unless 'Multiple issuing' checkbox is checked in the output type configuration.
Also you can probably add a requirement in the output determination procedure and check if output record already exists. Take a look at the standard 'Reprint' routine, kind of the opposite is needed in this case.

I have an external application which pull this same event from the sensor using a query *like* the following,
wget --user foo --password hoo http://a.b.c.d/cgi-bin/event-server?events=evAlert
I'm able to pull most of the event information but not all. What I can't seem to get from query is the " deniedFlow: true" value. I'm seeing something like,
    ></attack></participants><actions></actions></evAlert>
Notice the "deniedFlow: true" information missing between action.
Is my wget-ish query missing some arguments which is preventing me from pulling all the same information I can see from the CLI?
    Thanks in advance.

The problem is that you are using the 5.x-style event-server and so you do not see all of the event fields. You need to change the app to pull from the "sdee-server" and then you will see all of the event fields:
    http://a.b.c.d/cgi-bin/sdee-server?events=evAlert

  • Do I need to change any settings to connect my mac book pro to my tv?

Do I need to change any settings on my mac book pro to connect to my tv

Almost certainly, yes. Did you want to know which settings?
Exactly what settings you would need to change, where, and to what would depend on many factors, including at least the following:
    * what model MBP you have (which will tell us the connector available),
    * what version of Mac OS X it runs (which will tell us the settings available),
    * what sort of TV you have (resolution, what connectors it offers, how they are switched, etc.),
    * what connecting facilities you have (like wires or an AppleTV),
    * how you want to use the TV (primary screen, secondary screen, mirror screen, sole screen),
    * whether you want to play audio through the TV,
    and even
    * where the TV is located with respect to the MBP.
Simple case: New enough MBP to have HDMI output, running a recent OS X, TV new enough to have an available HDMI input, an HDMI cable on hand, using the TV as a secondary screen, and you don't care about how the screen positions relate or where the audio plays. You might be able to get away with default settings on the computer, but you'll still probably have to switch the TV to the HDMI input, and you'll have to drag windows onto the new screen.

  • Advice needed for changing code within the Web IC...

    Hi,
I need to change some code within the GET_QUERY_RESULT Method, which is found:
    BSP->Z_CRM_IC
    View->AuiSearch
    Controller class ZL_CRM_IC_AuiSearch_impl
    Method do_handle_event
    Method eh_onsearch
    Method get_query_result
At present the method get_query_result belongs to class CL_CRM_AUI_QUERY_SERVICE.
I can create a subclass from this and call it ZL_CRM_AUI_QUERY_SERVIC, then redefine the method get_query_class, and then make the appropriate changes. But that may be all uneccessary. What I don't know is how to ensure this modified code can be called.
I have already made changes for method DO_INIT_CONTEXT, hence the reason the controller class ZL_CRM_IC_AUISEARCH_IMPL is identified. But this was simple because the view linked directly to this whereas you can see the code I need to change is further down in process chain.
I know that method get_query_result calls a number of BADI's, but these BADI's are too low for the information that I need and therfore really need to make my code changes in the get_query_result method.
I have been reading as much as I can on this subject, but without much success and therefore really count on experienced developers like yourselves to steer me in the right direction, or give advice.
    Jas

I will not suggest to put your Enhancements into CL_CRM_AUI_QUERY_SERVICE.
Rather in  Component BT  -> Class CL_CRM_BTIL .  AUi Query Service will Internally call the BOL Component ( get query result )
In your Framework Profile Config  , you specify the Component Set  . Ex: ALL
Component set have a List of Component Ex BP , BT .
SPRO-> CRM -> CRM Cross Application Components -> Generic Interaction layer -> Basic Settings
Now you can have your Custom , Component Set ( Ex : ZALL ) and Component ( ( Ex ; ZBT , Totally advisable for CIC Development Framework )
Have BT Copied into ZBT and  Specify  ZL_CRM_BTIL (  Inherited from CL_CRM_BTIL )
And in your Custom Component Set , Specify ZBT instead of BT .
Now Specify your Custom Component Set in your Framework Profile .
Now you got the Enhancement Spot in  ZL_CRM_BTIL->GET_QUERY_RESULT
Let me know if it make sense
