Query Profile Option - Strange Query Result

Hello,
I'm having a strange situation working with the profile option.
I have the responsibility MY_RESP associated to the profile option "MY_PROFILE" that is set to the value "Company Business Group Europe".
Now If I check using the OA which is profile option value associated to the profile option MY_PROFILE I get the right value "Company Business Group Europe".
If I run a query to check the same thing insted to get the value "Company Business Group Europe" I get a strange number.
Now I'm having this problem with several profile option values and that's not good 'cause I absolutly need to copy some hundreds of responsibilties with profile options, from an environment to another one and if I cannot get this values using the query it seems enough crazy to get them one by one using the application.
Do you have an idea about how to resolve this problem?
The query I was running to see the profile option values set for each profile option of each responsibilty was the following:
SELECT distinct
d.responsibility_name user_or_responsibility_name,
g.user_profile_option_name,
b.profile_option_value,
a.start_date_active,
a.end_date_active,
a.profile_option_name
FROM
applsys.fnd_profile_option_values b,
applsys.fnd_profile_options a,
applsys.fnd_responsibility_tl d,
FND_PROFILE_OPTIONS_VL g
WHERE
b.profile_option_id = a.profile_option_id
and g.profile_option_id = a.profile_option_id
and b.level_id = 10003
and b.level_value = d.responsibility_id
and d.responsibility_name like '%_ES'
ORDER BY
d.responsibility_name;
morover if I run the query
select PROFILE_OPTION_VALUE
from fnd_profile_option_values
where PROFILE_OPTION_VALUE = 'Company Business Group Europe'
the result is empty...
Thank you for the tips.

    Concern:- It will pick all the columns of the values associated with all rules and GL account
    --> I want to filter out by running the or using the PROFILE option so that it returns for only one RESP_ID.
    Is it anyway to use in creating of view in the QUERY to pick the only one RESP_ID.
    Hope I made clear my issue.

    My questions is to use this FND_PROFILE.VALUE('RESP_ID') or FND_PROFILE.VALUE('ORG_ID')
    When ever you will run the above flex values query, it will come for all company or org id.
    I want specific for one org for all the flex values when i will run the above query.
    I try to initialize the query for the org_id,resp_id. But it returning for all of the org.
    I  have to filter out the values based on Org.Where as in the above query there is no org_id column for joing so how should i ?
    Hope i make my questions right.

  • A strange query of queries bug in CF11?

    Hi,
    I have this strange query of queries result that could be a bug in CF11.  The result is fine in CF10.
    Basically, I have 2 queries, qrA and qrB.  I do a join of the two in joinQr, after which I do a query of qrA.  Since I didn't alter qrA in any way, I would expect newQrA to give me the same result as qrA.  However it only gives me one row ("D").  Now, here's the strange thing:  If I start off qrA with the letters in ascending order ["A", "B", "C", "D"], then newQrA gives me the right result.
    <cfset qrA = queryNew("")>
    <cfset queryAddColumn( qrA, "size", "varchar", [ "D", "A", "B", "C" ] )>
    <cfset qrB = queryNew("")>
    <cfset queryAddColumn( qrB, "size", "varchar", [ "A" ] )>
    <cfset queryAddColumn( qrB, "quantity", "integer", [ 0 ] )>
    <cfquery name="joinQr" dbtype="query">
        select qrA.*, qrB.quantity
        from qrA, qrB
        where qrA.size = qrB.size
    </cfquery>
    <cfquery name="newQrA" dbtype="query">
        select *
        from qrA
    </cfquery>
    <cfdump var="#qrA#">
    <cfdump var="#qrB#">
    <cfdump var="#joinQr#">
    <cfdump var="#newQrA#">

    For your interest, by coincidence, my first test was with
    <cfset queryAddColumn( qrA, "size", "varchar", [ "A","B","C","D" ] )>
    It turns out that the order "A","B","C","D" works, whereas "D","A","B","C" fails. Quite funny, really.

    Thanks
    sidhartha

    Hi,
    that'S exactly what hide repeated key values does. If this option is on your result is:
    Kh02 1000 1500
    blank 500 456
    blank 600 700
    kh03 400 500
    balnk 500 600
    If you turn it off, the result will be:
    Kh02 1000 1500
    Kh02 500 456
    kh02 600 700
    kh03 400 500
    kh03 500 600
    Exaclty what you want. Try it, it should work

    Hi,
    Just generate your query once with program RSR_GEN_DIRECT_ALL_QUERIES.
    By selecting your multiprovider .

    Hi flegno,
    Depending on which version that Firefox is on, currently in the Simulator is looks like there is only a way to pin the apps that result in a searched category. Searching for people in contacts who have a particular app installed does not seem to be an option? However I cannot know for sure.
    Can you give another example on what you are looking for everything.me to do?

    Re: VPD issue Need Assistance ASAP
    where I wrote
    "Your function returns a single string that happens to have a bunch of commas and quotes in it. An IN list generally requires a list of strings, which your function doesn't return.
    You could rewrite the function to be a pipelined table function and then do
    select count(*)
    from baseclient.address_detail
    where cidn in (SELECT cidn
    FROM TABLE(<<your pipelined table function>>))
    However, I would expect it to be easier not to wrap all this into a function and just have your IN clause be the logic in your predicate_cidn cursor.

  • Input Readiness of Query with optional variables

    Hi,
    I built one input ready query which is input ready upon execution with only one set of selections, for any other set of selections, it is not input ready.Query is built on aggregation level on the top of multiprovider. There are no data slices built, No lock entries in RSPLSE as well. Is it like if a variable in the selection screen of the query is optional, will it be moved to free characteristic and because of that input readiness of the query will disappear?? In my case, country is authorized variable which is optional. Please let me know if any one has solution for this.
    Thanks,
    Bindu

    Hi,
    Check if:
    1. You have added characteristic InfoProvider in filter area and restricted that to your plan cube?
    2. Any Keyfigure in query will have input-ready cell only if all the characterictics in the aggregation level of that query has unique values for that cell.
    In your case you have moved Country to free characteristic area and might have not provided any value for it as it's optional. So system is not finding a unique value for this characteristic for input-ready cells.
    Enter value for Country variable and then execute, query will be input-ready.

  • Execute the same query twice, get two different results

    I have a query that returns two different results:
    Oracle Version : 10.2.0.1.0
    I am running the following query on the Oracle server in SQL*Plus Worksheet.
    SELECT COUNT(*)
    FROM AEJOURNAL_S1
    WHERE CHAR_TIME BETWEEN TO_DATE('12-AUG-10 01:17:39 PM','DD-MON-YY HH:MI:SS AM') AND
    TO_DATE('13-AUG-10 14:17:34','DD-MON-YY HH24:MI:SS')
    AND DESC2 LIKE '%'
    AND DESC1 LIKE '%'
    AND DESC2 LIKE '%'
    AND ETYPE LIKE '%'
    AND MODULE LIKE '%'
    AND LEVELL = '11-WARNING'
    ORDER BY ORDD DESC;
    The very first time the query is run, it will return a count of 259. The next time the query is run, lets say, 10 seconds later, it will return a count of 260. The above query is exemplary of the kind of thing I'm trying to do. It seems like the more fields filtered against '%', the more random the count return becomes. Sometime you have to execute the query three or four times before it levels out to a consistent number.
    I'm using '%' as the default for various fields, because this was the easiest thing to do to support a data-driven Web interface. Maybe I have to 'dynamically' build the entire where clause, instead of just parameterizing the elements and having default '%'. Anyway, to eliminate the web interface for the purpose of troubleshooting the above query was run directly on the Oracle server.
    This query runs against a view. The view does a transpose of data from a table.
    Below is the view AEJOURNAL_S1
    SELECT
    CHAR_TIME,
    CHAR_INST,
    BATCH_ID,
    MIN(DECODE(CHAR_ID,6543,CHAR_VALUE)) AS ORDD,
    MIN(DECODE(CHAR_ID,6528,CHAR_VALUE)) AS AREAA,
    MIN(DECODE(CHAR_ID,6529,CHAR_VALUE)) AS ATT,
    COALESCE(MIN(DECODE(CHAR_ID,6534,CHAR_VALUE)),'N/A') AS CATAGORY,
    MIN(DECODE(CHAR_ID,6535,CHAR_VALUE)) AS DESC1,
    MIN(DECODE(CHAR_ID,6536,CHAR_VALUE)) AS DESC2,
    MIN(DECODE(CHAR_ID,6537,CHAR_VALUE)) AS ETYPE,
    MIN(DECODE(CHAR_ID,6538,CHAR_VALUE)) AS LEVELL,
    MIN(DECODE(CHAR_ID,6539,CHAR_VALUE)) AS MODULE,
    MIN(DECODE(CHAR_ID,6540,CHAR_VALUE)) AS MODULE_DESCRIPTION,
    MIN(DECODE(CHAR_ID,6541,CHAR_VALUE)) AS NODE,
    MIN(DECODE(CHAR_ID,6542,CHAR_VALUE)) AS STATE,
    MIN(DECODE(CHAR_ID,6533,CHAR_VALUE)) AS UNIT
    FROM CHAR_BATCH_DATA
    WHERE subbatch_id = 1774
    GROUP BY CHAR_TIME, CHAR_INST, BATCH_ID
    So... why does the query omit rows on the first execution? Is this some sort of optimizer issue. Do I need to rebuild indexes? I looked at the indexes, they are all valid.
    Thanks for looking,
    Dan

    Thanks for looking,
    DanIn fact you the first time you ran the query the data has been retrived from disk to memory , in the second time the data is already in memory so the respnse time should be faster ,but if you chagne any condition or column or letter case the optimizer will do the first step (data will be retrived from disk to memory )

  • 11g OLAP cube MV's   with Query Rewrite option

    Hi All,
    I am trying to test the 11g OLAP cube MV's with the Query Rewrite option.
    I had created a cube on the schema OLAPTRAIN problem by oracle. I an selected necessary options in 'Materialized Views' tab of the Cube definition in AWM. here is the screenshot
    !http://i40.tinypic.com/9jzpte.png!
    and then I try to run the SQL query
    select SUM(S.QUANTITY) AS QUAN,
    SUM(S.SALES) AS SALES,
    T.CALENDAR_YEAR_NAME,
    P.DEPARTMENT_NAME,
    C.COUNTRY_NAME
    FROM
    TIMES T,CUSTOMERS C,PRODUCTS P, SALES_FACT S
    WHERE
    C.CUSTOMER_KEY = S.CUSTOMER AND
    T.DAY_KEY = S.DAY_KEY AND
    P.ITEM_KEY = S.PRODUCT
    group by T.CALENDAR_YEAR_NAME, P.DEPARTMENT_NAME, C.COUNTRY_NAME;
    and observed the Explain plan, it is not using OLAP cube built, instead it is using the relational tables given in the above sql query.
    Also, i have observed that , though enabling or disabling of the Query Rewrite option doesn't make any change in the Explain query for the above query.
    alter materialized view olaptrain.cb$sales_cube enable query rewrite;
    alter materialized view OLAPTRAIN.cb$sales_cube disable query rewrite;
    No idea why is this Query Rewrite feature is not working on my Database instance of 11g R2 . Do am I missing any steps that has be taken care of , to make this working. Any inputs would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    S

    Hi there,
    You should check out Note 577293.1 on Metalink - 'Oracle OLAP 11g: How to ensure use of Cube Materialized Views/Query Rewrite'

  • SPARQL query with OPTIONAL

    Hi,
    When I run a SPARQL query with OPTIONAL in the WHERE clause, I saw a lot of "select 1 from ***" kind of queries got executed. The query runs very slow. I'm running Jena adaptor 2 against Oracle 11.1.0.6. We have about half million triples in the model. The queries we need to run tend to be complex and they run pretty slow. Does Oracle 11.1.0.7 have big query performance improvement over 11.1.0.6? Is there anything that we can do on the application side or on the database side to boost the query performance? Thanks,
    Weihua

    Native database support for OPTIONAL in SEM_MATCH based RDF query has been made available via patch 7600122 on 11.1.0.7. Direct use of SEM_MATCH to query your data from SQL has significant performance benefits.
