Query Region Update Operation problem

Hi All,
I have one Query region in Oracle seeded page.
In Query region one table is there.
My Client Requirement is he wants to add one text input field in table. so that user can enter comments in text input field.
He also wants Update button as a Table Action and when he clicks on Update, this comments should get store into Database.
I want to know that Update operation is possible in Query region's table.because when i handle event in controller, it gives me Following Exception.

Hi,
I got the problem,
It is a standard functionality of oracle that we can not update Requisitions which are approved.
My client requirement is that after approval of Requisition, he wants to update the Requisition.
I said that it is not possible in Forms as well as OAF.
The system will not allow to update Requisition once it is approved.

Hi Everyone, I have developed a sap netweaver duet enterprise 1.0 to send the data from sap to share point and from share point to sap. The problem is that I am able to test the data successfully from duet system in sap for all the operations Query, Read & Update and I am getting the required output.
But from share point end when they are hitting the data for Query, Read & Update operations the query and read operations are successful but the update operation is getting failed. I unable to trigger the break point for update operation. I have checked the log but in that i am getting BULK READ status.
Can anyone help me out in resolving this issue.

Problem with SQL query region source containing OLAP clauses

Hi team,
I believe I found a bug when HTMLDB validates the SQL Query in a report region.
My query includes an ORDER BY clause within a windowing function and HTMLDB refuses to accept the source owing to the presence of the ORDER BY and the column heading sort preference.
Clearly the order-by in a window function has little to do with the column heading sort, but this error prevents me from updating the conditional display item in the page definition.
Note also that the page was imported smoothly from the 1.5 version, so probably the region source is not checked at that time, but only when you update it "manually".
So, in the end, if I don't change anything the page works because the sql query is assumed to be correct but unfortunately I need to change the condition and I cannot.
The problem shows up in page 126 of app 21670, SQL query region.

In Selection Tab, following operations are performed :-
Execute a query and mark it as 'Set A'.(Say Hit list = X)
Execute another query and mark it as 'Set B'.(Say Hit list = Y)
In Set operation Tab, following operations are performed :-:-
Carry out an Operations 'Set A minus Set B'.
which results in Resulting Set = Z.
Transfer the resulting set 'in hit list' and press the copy resulting set button.
In Selection Tab, Hit list is populated with Z.
And when output button is pressed, I get to see 'Y' list and not 'Z' list.

Problem in Wfetch client for Update operations

Hi,
I am using the Wfetch client for the 'Update' operation of an RFC Gateway consumption model . But it seems to always give this error : 'HTTP/1.0 400 Bad Request\r\n'
I have passed only those fields that have been exposed in the GW Data model. Is there anything else that needs to be taken care of ?
The read and query operations are executed successfully though.

Just recheck two things in Wfetch with below details.
1. Check the path. It should be below formate for update operation
Verb : Put
Path: /sap/opu/sdata/sap/<CONSUM_MODEL>/<data_model>Collection(value=' ',scheme_id='<DATA_MODEL>',scheme_agency_id=' ')?sap-client=< >&$format=xml
Above formate you can take from Read operation which you already executed successfully.
2. Check the XML formate on right handside in Wfetch it should be header & body with below details.

Problem whit Update Operation, Error UPDATE_ROW_CONFLICT with Oracle DB

Hello friends!, I have a problem whit UPDATE Operation with a Oracle DataBase, but it is rare because it works in "Java Sun Application Server" and not in Tomcat (5.5.12) , displaying the following error:

Why? the values of this date is different in one or another server. Problem of driver JDBC? I use driver: to ojdbc14.jar, in Tomcat for the connection to the BD Oracle. Maybe this originates error UPDATE_ROW_CONFLICT...

Oracle 11g: Oracle insert/update operation is taking more time.

Hello All,
In Oracle 11g (Windows 2008 32 bit environment) we are facing following issue.
1) We are inserting/updating data on some tables (4-5 tables and we are firing query with very high rate).
2) After sometime (say 15 days with same load) we are feeling that the Oracle operation (insert/update) is taking more time.
Query1: How to find actually oracle is taking more time in insert/updates operation.
Query2: How to rectify the problem.
We are having multithread environment.

This is a misconception of how indexes are working.

Update Operation Fatal Error when installing Technical Preview Build 10041 Upgrade

In trying to perform an upgrade install of the Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 10041 (as is the latest available for direct download as of my writing), I am running into a problem I cannot find mention of anywhere else on the web.
I fall into two categories with regards to this build: A) Product tester who actually needs to test application performance under Windows 10 on bare metal, B) Semi-crazy techie who loves using (usable) beta software as his primary environment ;)
so it is rather important to me that I get this working on my machine in some non-virtualized respect. I am reluctant to do a full/fresh install if installation problems are happening, because my Windows 8 product key has been f***ed up from the
start (likely some random database corruption) and I've had to utilize phone support to get around an "unknown error" the last two times I've had to use it. So, for fear of that key completely crapping out on me, I don't want to move to Win10 unless
I'm confident it will install and I can stick with it (for better or worse) through the end. Problems within the Preview after I install it I can deal with.
So, I first tried to install the Preview through the standard Windows Update method. The installer took about 7 hours (but from reading lots of internet discussions, stupidly long install times in that range seem to be a common problem with
this builds separate from it actually failing). During the reboot between the "Setting up Devices" (Or is it Setting up Drivers? I forget) and "Taking Care of a Few More Things" (Again, possibly paraphrased), for about a split second, underneath
the Windows logo and throbber, some error like this appeared:

It only appeared for a fraction of a second, and I had no chance of reading the precise numbers or error.
However, the installer then seemed to continue, and went until the main circle was at 100%. As soon as 100% hit, however, the screen went black for something like 30min. Then, I briefly saw "Attempting to recover installation" before "Restoring
your previous version of Windows." And I was, quite impressively considering how far along that installer was, back in Windows 8.1 completely unharmed.
I tried again by burning an ISO and doing a disc upgrade install. I let that one run overnight and was asleep for the error, but I was back in Win8.1 in the morning, so I can only assume a similar thing happened there.
As for my system specs, I'm running on a MacBook Pro 9,1 under Boot Camp. I am upgrading from Windows 8.1.2 Pro with Media Center. I have found other online accounts of people quite successfully installing Windows 10 on Macs, so that isn't the issue.
Does anyone have any clue as to what this error might have been/be, and how I might fix it? Or at least have it on good authority that a fresh installation would be unaffected (meaning it's software-related)? If not, I can try installing to a VHD,
which would at least let me product test on bare metal, but wouldn't have the harddrive space to be my daily driver and would probably only get used occasionally.

To the individual who proposed this as an answer to my problem: It's not even applicable. I specifically stated that I was trying to avoid doing a clean installation (at least without knowing more about the problem at hand). An answer saying to do the thing
you're trying to avoid doing is not an answer. You can see my last reply for the current status of this issue. 6-8 hour blocks of time in which I can't use my computer (as is required to install build 10041) aren't super common for me, but I haven't abandoned
this thread. There have simply been no more updates. If your motivation as a mod was that you simply don't like there being unanswered threads on this forum, then perhaps you could attempt to contribute rather than arbitrarily marking the first reply as an
answer.
I will continue to update this thread as I try new things and get more information.

SQL Server 2005 Update mechanism problem

      We're faced with one SQL Server 2005 update mechanism problem. Here is my problem:
      According to our requirement, an add_on interface program is designed to execute creation of production order by calling Bapi.
      There are 3 steps in this add_on program:
      Step 1: Create production order
      Step 2: Change the information of production.
      Step 3: Some other
      After the step 1 has finished immediately step 2 is called, Howerver the information which should have inserted into database table couldn't be found from database. (Maybe because the time between two steps is too short to finish inserting)
      In order to ensure the complete of the transaction, before the step 2 executed, the information in step 1 should have inserted into database.
       Is there any solution to solve this problem?
       I guess whether there is any parameter which control the time of writing buffer into database...
Any advice is appreciated.

Query region (search) displaying error

You need to look into your code to figure out what is getting executed the next time you are running the query? I would recommend picking the query and the bind parameter from the Jdev log and testing it out in TOAD/SQL Developer.

I have a query region with result table, it results the data upon search creteria. each row have a update icon where user can navigates to update page to edit the information. So when user gets back to search page and clicks on clear button of query region and clicks 'GO' the page gets error out. There is nothing written for 'GO' or 'Clear' they are query region components.
And I have question, when user click on clear and than enters some criteria it works fine , if user navigates to update page and comes back clicks 'clear' without entering search criteria and hits 'GO' its erroring out and error message displays the query appended with cleared search criteria's in where clause, saying missing parametrs in or out at index 1

Actually when I clear and click 'GO' it is trying to construct with cleared search criteria. Any explanation for this?
and why its trying to append 'or' clause 4 times. I have 4 other LOVs in search criteria in the region with Status message choice.

can you try this? don't navigate to update page enter some crieteria and then click on GO and then again press clear button and then again click on GO and check, is it working fine?
This works fine, the issue when I navigate back from update page. please find the below code in processFormRequest

OA Query Region: How to remove "like" clause in background query

I have an <oa:query/> region that has an id field as a parameter.
The problem is if I enter "534" it will run a query with a where clause of "COLUMN like '534%' ", which is not what I want.
I want it to search for an exact match and not a partial match. Is there a way to do this using the standard attributes (without having to build the where clause manually)?

You can specify the Data type of the field as Number..then the Query region will use '=' instead of 'LIKE'.

OA Query Region shows previous search results when moving between pages

Hello All,
I have a custom OA Page which has a query region based on a LOV for searching device names. The problem I am facing is once device name is searched and I go to another page through the quick links and come back to same Search Device page, it shows the previous searched results. I am not retaining AM for any page navigation.
Things I have already tried :
1 . I have tried refreshing VO by using clearcache and reset methods on VO.
2. Get the Go button from the query region in ProcessFormRequest and on Go button click I use forwardImmediatelyToCurrentPage. And in Process Request method I am querying the results manually when Go button is clicked. Otherwise I am manually making the where clause condition 1=2 and ensuring that the VO does not return any rows.
But still I am not able to get rid of the issue.
The code used is pasted below for your reference. It is urgent. Can you please provide any pointers.

Hi Anand,
The getSearchResult method also does the same thing. I have also tried to remove the dependency on getSearchResult and wrote the same code in ProcessRequest() but still it does not solve the problem.
In fact, I have ensured that the VO does not contain any records and have checked these by using SOPs and debug in JDEV. The interesting point is the VO does not have any records but still the previous search data and search criteria is shown when we navigate to the page. Printed the query just before performing execute query and that query does not return any records. Also tried printing something if there are any records in the VO by using vo.hasNext().
Data gets stored somewhere and it is shown when the page is navigated from other page. FYI, this page is accessed from quick links and there are other pages also in the quick links and when we navigate between these pages we get to see the previous search results. Tried methods clearCache(), reset() on VOs but still unsuccessful.
Not even that I thought that the VO may be corrupted in some sense so I created a new VO instance in the AM and then used newly created VO instance in the query region. But still no luck.
Any pointers will be appreciated.

Query on DML operation

I am new to Golden Gate. I have query
I am setting up a UNIDIRECTIONAL replication from Source to Target (very simple default configuration.GETINSERT,GETUPDATE,GETDELETE) to replica of source and target.
Table :SOURCE_A(SOR_COL). Insert below three rows
APPLE
ORANGE
BANANA
I did a Intial Load to trarger TARGET_A(TAR_COL) and got all the three rows
APPLE
ORANGE
BANANA
I did a house keeping and say I deleted row 'ORANGE' from target table TARGET_A.
APPLE
BANANA
Now Scenrio arrive. I updated the SOURCE table SOURCE_A (ORANGE) to BEANS and added one row TOMATO and my data in SOURCE_A will look like
APPLE
BEANS
BANANA
TOMATO
Now Please let me know what will happen to my TARGET table TARGET_A UPDATE operation since the target data will not be for the incremental load

In this case by default the replicat will abend. If you dont' want the replicat to abend and want to insert the record you are updating on the source,
you can use INSERTMISSINGUPDATES parameter on your replicat.

Update Rule problem

Hi frndz,
I have one query regarding update rule.
i want to ask you the question that while defining the routine on particular keyfigure is it requierd to maintain the sequence of the field as it is in cube.
Like i am facing a starnge problem i have just now updated system to 3.5 now my problem is i have a master data material in that i have wriiten few update rule on specific fields,now when i am loading the data in material master data few of the material having the value others dont have.
i think some problem lies in update rule i have checked correctly every thing is fine with the update rule,
can any one suggest me why its behaving strangely.

i have tried that but no where i am getting the problem.
like after debugging i got the value correctly till the PSA but its not going correctly in data target.
