Query returns list of objects with all fields = NULL

Hi there,
I must be doing something wrong. I have tried to query for all activities and all contacts using the code pattern shown below (for activities):
Activity_ServiceLocator serviceLocator = new Activity_ServiceLocator();
serviceLocator.setActivityEndpointAddress(config.get(CONFIG_KEY_URL) + ";jsessionid=" + sessionId);
ActivityQuery aq = new ActivityQuery();
ListOfActivityQuery laq = new ListOfActivityQuery();
laq.setActivity(aq);
ActivityQueryPage_Input aqpi = new ActivityQueryPage_Input();
aqpi.setListOfActivity(laq);
laq.setPagesize(new BigInteger("100"));
laq.setStartrownum(new BigInteger("0"));
ActivityQueryPage_Output aqpo = serviceLocator.getActivity().activityQueryPage(aqpi);
When I do getListOfActivity() from the ActivityQueryPage object, I get a non-empty list, however, when I loop over the list, it seems that all fields in all the objects are NULL. This, even though I have checked in the system that the activities (appointments) all contain fields with data.
As mentioned, when I try to query for all contacts using the exact same code pattern, I also get a non-empty list of (contact) objects with non-empty fields .. So, I guess I'm doing a simple mistake (since I have hundreds of contacts in my CRM system), but which?

Okay, I partly found the answer myself. It appears that one has to explicitly set a (empty) query type for the fields that one wants returned from the query .. At least this appears to return the field value of the returned objects .. But is this really the correct way of doing it?
A few related questions;
1) What is the purpose of the UseChildAnd? I cannot read this from the documentation!
2) Is there any more documentation than the Oracle CRM On Demand Release 16? I would like to have some more documentation on
a) how to make a cross table query, e.g. across activities and contacts (for instance, give me all contact who have an appointment tomorrow), and
b) how to use the QueryType.
Any references to something that can enlighten me? :-)

Duplicate Purchase Order with all fields.

Hi,
I need a method to Duplicate a Purchase Order with ALL the fields. I tryed with a SendKey("^D") method but the new instance not copy the IC data. Looking for a better method, I read about the option to Save as XML the selected purchase, but I don't know what is the procedure to load the "clone instance" stored in the XML into the SBO Form with a new DocEntry.
Anyone knows the better path to do this?

Hi Oscar,
The XML method is fine. You export the original PO to an XML file. You can then use XSLT or a .NET XMLDataDocument object (or similar method if you are using another development environment) to remove the values in the DocNum, DocEntry and any other nodes you don't want to clone (eg DocDate). You can then load this back in to SBO using the GetBusinessObjectFromXML method of the Company object. Personally, I like the XSLT method because it's easy to do and very easy to amend without recompiling your addon (eg if you create new UDFs then you can quickly amend the XLST file to include or exclude these fields).

Well, this is not only a way to print a list with all genres but also a list with all type of genre used in your iTunes library.
I found a crazy way, but it works. Export a list of all you music sorted by genre (with genre included as one of the columns) and save all as a text file > File > Library > Export List > Tipe: text file
Open Excel - drag drop text file into excel. [FROM HERE YOU CAN PRINT ALL YOUR MUSIC LIST] - click once in the upper left square before column A and over line 1 and now click twice a little bit before the end of column A (the pointer changes like a cross) to adjust all cell width.
NOW TO MAKE A GENRE LIST
Find the genre column > select the column
copy it and in a new sheet paste only this column in A1 ... Annn cells.
Now select the first cell (A1) and go to Data > Remove Duplicated > (if you wish select "my data has a header")
click OK
Now what stays in the column is only one name for each genre.
That's it (sorry my english, but I'm brazilian)

Downloaded Global Address List does not download all fields

I have my Global Address List from the Exchange Server linked into an Access 2003 database. (Will not link to Access 2007, 2010 format). There is one field (TITLE) that appears in the structure of the linked table but the data for that field is not

If I understood correctly, the data of TITLE filed didn't download in Access 2003. Also as far as I tested, this field works well in Access 2013.

How to print out document list items (and with all comments!)

Hi all,
I am wondering how to get a good printout of document lists.
In a web application I have some document list items and the users are adding many comments in it, so that the document list item doenst show all in the initial view, but scroll buttons to navigate up and down.
I was surprised to read that the standard print functionality doesnt support document items.

Refresh a query driven list based on a search field

I have a text field in a control block that I am using as a search criteria.
I have another list whose source query is based on the previously mentioned text field's value.
As I am typing in the text field, I want the list to update based on what I have typed.
For example, as I type ORACLE, the list would show all O records, then OR records, then ORA records, then ORAC records, and so on and so on.
I have been unable to find when/where the trigger exists that will allow me to do this.
Can anyone help?

first: do not use timers, because they have a negative influence on the performance.
use a pre-query trigger in which you check the value of your text field. In this trigger you can set the block property WHERE of the block to be queried like: "column_name LIKE '%'||:block_name.item_name||'%'
with this all records containing the text in your text item will be shown. You could also add a radio button with three values: Starts with, Contains, Ends with. When you implement the functionality like this, the USER controls what happens and not the programme.

is there a function for listing more than one value in the same field, only with comma seperation?
For example, I want to group by cardcode from ORDR and list all docnum's like this:

We need to update all old orders for sure, but my idea was to use this query:
Select CardCode, COUNT(Address2) From ORDR Where Docstatus <> 'C' GROUP BY address2, cardcode order by cardcode, address2
The results will give me two lines for each customer and count the addresses, so then I know that the count of one of the lines must me changed. Let's say there is 20 orders with new address and 20 orders with old address, my intention was to manually change the 20 orders that is old. Instead of checking all 40, It would help alot to list all order numbers in a column beside in the query.

Jpa native query returns only first character of a field

Hi,
I've a JPA native query that returns two fields from my oracle database. The first field is a CHAR(2) field with two char values in it, like 'OZ' etc.
The problem is, as soon as the query is executed it returns only first character of field1. If the actual value of field1 is like 'OZ' then it returns only 'Z'.
Query nativeQueryForProfileInfo = getManager().createNativeQuery(queryToRun);
List list = nativeQueryForProfileInfo.getResultList();

There could be several explanations here and it's difficult to say without having more details, possibilities are
There is something wrong with your display logic.
There is something wrong with your mapping.

Query on getting the Pane with all the items for creating Views

I have a query as under:
I was trying to create a sample Web Dynpro ( for ABAP ) using tcode SE80 and while creating view, I have to get the Pane with the items ( eg., Radio element, text fields, text areas, etc., kind of all UI Elements )....
But, I was not able to get while defining the View for the Web Dynpro application....
Please let me know if any setting has to be done to get this or any other clue as to get this Pane...

Can you show the UserProfile.java ? That may have some variables, which are not supported in web services.

Report Query returning "No Data Found" with bind variables

I put a simple query into Report Query:
Select "bluefish". "name" as "name",

"bluefish"."ID" as "ID" from "bluefish" "bluefish" where "bluefish"."ID" = :P3_XPRINTID
When I test the query, data is returned; however, when I try to run the query using "Test Report" button, I get an error 01403 No Data Found. If I replace the bind variable with an explicit value, the report works.
Anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this problem? I am using the Generic Report Layout, with various output types. I AM editting the query and defining the bind variable before I test the report (otherwise, the query wouldn't run).

Sometimes if you create a form/report/whatever using the wizards, it will create an After Submit process called something like Reset Page - basically you want to make sure you don't have any After Submit processes that call a Clear Session state (it may say something like Clear Cache for Page).
In your branch, there is also a box that says Clear Cache - you want to make sure that does not have page Number 8 in it or it will clear your session state.
Put the page in Debug mode and read through it - check to make sure your value is getting saved and maybe you can see what is going wrong.
