Questionnaire application in WebDynpro ABAP

Hi,
I would like to design the Questionnaire application in WebDynpro ABAP, which should be in the form of question and answers(4-5) as checkboxes/radio buttons.
For this scenario, how to design the Layout and Node structure?

Hi Jhansi,
I have created one such reusable component for SAP PPM.
I have used the structure /RPM/TS_QNNR_API.
It has the Question number, desc, and questionnaire group, UI option and has one entry per question per answer options.
For example if Q1 GRp1 has 4 options , it has four entries at runtime with Q1 Grp1 and opt1..opt4.
I have read this table in a node and the dynamically created one node per question.
On the basis of UI option value in the table I created corresponding UI element ( drop down, checkbox grp etc) and bound the node for it.
I will soon be coming with an article on this.

Dear Ajay,
Assuming that both your applications WDA & WDJ are in the portal & you don't have to pass any parameters to the WDJ application.
Write the following code on the action where you would call the WDJ application.
DATA:
        lr_compcontroller TYPE REF TO ig_componentcontroller,
        l_component TYPE REF TO if_wd_component ,
        lr_port_manager TYPE REF TO if_wd_portal_integration ,
        wa_navigation TYPE navigation.

lr_port_manager = l_component->get_portal_manager( ) .
* The value inserted into the navigation-target field can be found in the Portal
* content administration tab of your portal. It is the ID or PCD Location field
wa_navigation-target = pcd. " Please provide the PCD Location of the WDJ Application here.
wa_navigation-mode   = '0'. "0 = INTERNAL(same page) and 1 = EXTERNAL(new page).
CALL METHOD lr_port_manager->navigate_absolute
    EXPORTING

      navigation_mode   = wa_navigation-mode.
You can get the PCD from the Page properties of the WDJ application page in the Portal.

How to integrate BRF+ application in WEBDynpro abap

There is nothing really special about integration of BRF+ into WDA. BRF+ modelled rules are exposed via an ABAP Class Interface and can be called by any ABAP coding. From WDA, you would call these classes just like any others. The above linked thread does point you to a tutorial I created on BRF+ where I do then call the rule from WDA. You might also look at TechEd session CD269 if you have access to this year's materials. In there we do an BRF+ exercise and integrate into a BOL Object/Gateway Service/FPM application.

Webdynpro ABAP independent application

hello,
I have developed independent application of webdynpro ABAP
i want to integrate it on portal
i have page, create iview, assign application url to the iview - all this i do in portal content administration etc
but in later versions, instead of iview etc, there is bankend transaction code, ie tcode in R/3 where I can assign my web dynpro application to portal
I need the name of that transaction code. kindly help with your inputs

Hi Bhakti,
AFAIK there is no such kind of facility available so that you can directly assign your webdynpro into the portal using any t-codes.
But the SAP Enterprise Portal supports the Web Dynpro application development with functions like:
Event handling of portal events
Navigation between Web Dynpro applications within the portal or to any portal content
WorkProtect mode
And With Web Dynpro you create interactive Web-based user interfaces for business applications. The portal allows the role-based and secure access to different kinds of information (structured or non-structured), services, and applications using a Web Browser.

SAP Webdynpro ABAP Application Caching Issues

Hi All,
We have developed custom applications using Webdynpro - ABAP, using FPM and accessing those applications through SAP Netweaver Portal 7.0. I have deactivated all the caching techniquies in Portal @ iview level and Page level, Portal Runtime and ContentFetch side, But still causing the same problem.
I have a doubt, wether this is happening because of SAP Logon Caching @ SAP WAS system level. I have checked the SSO parameter settings in RZ10 Profile parameters. Our basis people have set both accept and create parameter value = 1. Is this causing issue?
Or Is there any other settings which is required to do in Portal or SAP system level. Please let us know , really appreciate your value suggestions and help.

(though the url seen in the application in se80 in the webdynrpo abap component does not have workitem id paramter)
It is required to have a parameter WI_ID (as an Application parameter) in your WDA. And via this Application parameter WDA will receive the workitem id, when the task is exceuted from UWL (provided configuration is done in swfvisu)
Could you confirm, there is no Application parameter (WI_ID) in your WDA?
It picks the same workitem id everytime. I tried doing this with a couple of different user ids. but I cant figure out from where it picks this particular workitem id
If you defined WI_ID in Application parameter and there is an option to provide value and it seems, you have defined some value over there or other way might be in your method (inbound plug), you may gave default value to WI_ID in the parameter
If your application is working properly from UWL and for testing purpose, you could put a breakpoint and change the workitem id, when executing from se80

Accessing WebDynpro ABAP application from external network

Hi All,
I have developed one application in webdynpro ABAP.
Now my requirement in to access this application through internet.
I dont want to use portal to run application.
Is it possible to access through internet ?

You can access the webdynpro application via internet with the help of SAP Web Dispatcher. Basis team will install the web dispatcher and then machine can put into a DMZ area which in turn can be opened to Internet with necessary controls.

Anonymous user Unbale to access an WebDynpro ABAP iView

Hi,
I have developed an application using webdynpro ABAP and integrated that into portal.
For this webdynpro application i have to create an iview, assigned it to a page, assigned this page to a custom role. I also set Authentication to anonymous for the page and iView. Assinged the custom role created to anonymous Group.
But while running it i am getting an error "An exception occurred while processing your request. Send the exception ID to your portal administrator. Exception ID 04:55_25/10/11_0047_14739050"
When I checked the log, it shows the error as "Deprecated scope of type SERVERSESSION_AT_LEAST_ONE_APP_SCOPE is used! Please replace the usage of scopes with new
mechanism based on "Cross application session communication API".
I also checked the note 1031159 and changed the configurations accordingly but getting the same above error.
I am on EP7.3 version.
Please guide me to move further successfully in showing the webdynbpro abap applicaiton to anonymous user.

I'm also working on EP7.3 and R3 WD4A integration. But I just can't find any WD for ABAP from whithin EP7.3 wizard.
I tried to create the WD4A iview by right-clicking a PCD folder and then "New"->"iView"->"iView from remote source" to get a search screen. I choose a system alias (point to bk web as), use "*" as application id, and pick "WebDynpro for ABAP" as the application type.
However, I always got "Nothing found. Change your search criteria."
I did do some activation work on backend R3 SICF setting. I'm able to directly access web dynpro via http://mywebas.domain:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/mywd....
If you're using the same scenario, please let me know anything I missed or any other special setting.

How to save User input into DB using webdynpro abap

Im trying to create an application using webdynpro abap.
I want to know how to save the data input by user, into a database table.
In my UI, I have a table control which is editable and user inputs data into this. I need to know how i can transfer this data to a DB table.

u can do it by reading ur context node.
we bind our UI elements to context attributes of appropriate type .
we read their values using the code wizard or by pressing control+F7, click on radio button read node/attribute
here for ur specific case , u must have binded ur table control with the context attribute , now u need to simply read this attribute
eg suppose u have created a context node " cn_table"
reading context node cn_table
   DATA : lo_nd_cn_table TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node ,
         lo_el_cn_table TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element ,
         ls_cn_table    TYPE wd_this->element_cn_table.

here wa_table is the work area of structure type . u need to create a structure first with the same variables as there are the context attributes in ur node cn_table
in ur
now ur wa_tablecontains value
u can nw use appropriate FM to update , delete and modify the DB table using the value
u cn directly use SQL statements as well in the method of ur view , but direct SQL statements are nt recommende

Retreival of Dynamic Table Datas from Adobe to WebDynpro- ABAP

Dear Friends,
I have Developed an application in Webdynpro-ABAP, where i have integrated Adobe form in the webdynpro.
In the adobe form, dynamic table is there where we can add and delete the rows at runtime.
I am trying to retreive the table datas at runtime from the adobe.
I can able to retreive only the first record from the table, even if the table contain more than one rows.
As per the below code i have retreived the count, where it is showing the count as 1.
using the method get_static_attributes_table i am trying to fetch all the records, but i can able to retreive only the first record.

Javascript server events in webdynpro ABAP

I am migrating an existing BSP application to webdynpro abap. Few of sections, in existing BSP application, uses java script coding to trigger few server events. For example it uses a flash charts on click of which some filtering logic is written on table. Similar logic needs to be placed for webdynpro. I used Iframe to display this charts. Charts are rendered properly but I am not able to raise the actions or trigger events on server as I dont have access to parent.document object of my parent view.
I get access denied/ permission denied error.
Cant we trigger server action or event using JavaScript from child IFrame.

Hi Nitesh,
Integrating custom java script is not supported. There are still a few benefits BSP has over WDA. Well, you could put the flash object inside of a BSP application and use portal eventing to communicate with WDA.

The delete icon will not show up in the line of the favorite/templates, if no hours are recorded on it. There is no transfer to the backend either, unless hours are recorded on these working time attributes. also ensure note 1986356 is implemented for details column check CAC2 for the CATS profile attached to the user in CVR in Su3

I'm facing the same issue with the POWL only if called from a part of the network outside our country (Italy) so I think it would be a network configuration problem as you suppose. Can you explain us the configuration of the balancer and dispatcher to solve the issue?

I was gettiing runtime error while executing a Webdynpro-ABAP application

I am working on Webdynpro-ABAP and created a ALV report using Service call BAPI method in IDES version. After creating component and designed view and created Webdynpro application. While executing application I am getting some error in explorer.
For any application I am getting same error.
I think some setting in explorer..I am not sure. If yes how can I rectify ?
