Questions in adapters??

please answer the following questions
1) In BPM Async-Sync bridge, does the QOS change??
2) What is logging / trace? List 4 ways to enable logging / trace?
3) What are the 4 functions does adapter framework provide?
4) If communications with JDBC using XML format, what
are 4 actions you could do?
5) How does PCK and adapter framework engine differ?
thanks
gabriel

hi
1) In BPM Async-Sync bridge, the QOS change and we assume it to be worst case always ie BE
2) The Logging API lets you collect all info/error/debug information in a central trace file that can be viewed on the client or sent to the server for inspection by the administrator. With the logging information at hand, most application and framework problems can be analysed remotely by system administrators without them having physical access to the device.
Tracing of info/error/debug information of different trace levels.
Should be used by EVERY application. The framework also makes extensive use of logging, esp. during synchronization and deployment
Easy handling for end-users: trace file can be displayed locally or be sent to the WebAS on next synchronization for further inspection by the administrator.
Broad method signature to makes tracing easy in all problem situations (for example, easy logging of Java exceptions)

3) for adapter framework check foll link

5)PCK is de-centralised separate adapter kit for partners which have its own graphical interface and is configured and monitored in its own environment. The Adapter Framework is part of the Adapter Engine and the PCK. It provides interfaces for configuring, managing, and monitoring adapters. The Adapter Framework is used to connect any external system to SAP Exchange Infrastructure.

  • Question on Adapters

I remember reading somewhere in the forum that we don't need adapters for HTTP and some other communication type. Can somebody tell me what are the adapter types for which XI doesn;t need adapters and why.

    Hi
    IDoc and HTTP
Doc Adapter resides on ABAP stack and hence can communicate directly with Integration Server, for the conversion from IDoc to IDoc XML.Communication Channel is used for communication with the Integration Server which is obtained directly in case of IDoc .Hence Sender idoc adapter is not required and therefore no Sender Agreement.
Adapter resides on the ABAP stack ie on the Integration Engine. This makes them both part of the IS pipeline and the processing is done automatically. So Integration engine takes care of the conversion format from IDOC to XML, hence there is no need for sender Adapter .Also since its residing on Integration server you can directly post the message in the Integration engine.Similar is the case with http.
    Thanks

  • Macbook Pro power adapters and signal voltage

    Hi all
I'm looking for fairly technical details about how a Macbook interacts with it's power adapter.
    My theory:
If wikipedia is anything to go by,  when a Macbook power adapter is "on" but there is on load (no place to the send power, a.k.a the adapter is not connected to a device or the device isn't excepting power) the power adapter produces a single voltage of 6.86 volts (a fraction of the 16.5v or the 18.5v that is possible) that can inform a Macbook that a power adapter is available to draw from.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MagSafe#Pinout
From further observations of my Macbook Pro the charge indicator LED on the magsafe connector, when the power adapter is connected and the signal voltage is established as available, the power management within the Macbook Pro "thinks" for a moment and decides how much power it should draw from the power adapter.
    The issue:
I figure that my theory is well reasoned but will more proof before I considered any off it fact.
The most direct way to confirm my theory is to cut up a Macbook pro adapter and start testing. Yet getting and modifying a Macbook adapter to be a test subject costs time and money and asking the web for answers is cheaper on both accounts.
    Questions:
Macbook adapters produced fixed voltages? Either signal voltage (6.86v ?) or operating voltage (18.5v or 16.5v depending on adapter model)? They don't produced a range of voltages?
Is the signal voltage really 6.86 volts? How many amps or milliamps of signal voltage is needed from the power adapter for the Macbook to consider the adapter as "good" to draw from?
    Allen

Shouldn't cause any problems. The main issue will be that the 60w adapter won't provide enough juice to both charge the MBP battery and run it if there is much of a load so I'd avoid using the 60w on the MBP for anything other than charging the battery whilst not using the machine - sudden power shortage could be painful for the machine.
    Best of luck.

  • Adapter Framework File Adapter Message on hold

    Hello,
we have a problem with the Adapter Framework and their the File Adapter / Messaging System.
We process one HR IDOC from R/3 through XI and send it to 7 file adapters. The SXMB_MONI tells us that all messages have been processed without errors and when you go to the RWB and use the Message-Monitoring many messages are on status HOLD. XI makes the message EOIO once you have multiple receivers and something blocks the messages in the AF. Is there a way to delete the AF queues like the XI queues with SMQ1 or SMQ2. It looks like SAP had duplicated the SMQ business in JAVA but I found no documentation how to clean up queues or what to do if the get stuck.
    Thanks
    Stefan

    hi,
you can try question 3 adapters section
    on the XI FAQ:
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/06/28/xipi-faq-frequently-asked-questions
    to see adapters in RWB
but if you see them when you do it then
it means that this XI's configuration was not complete
so you may expect further problems

  • XI - FAQ's

hi.Can anyone send me a list of XI - FAQ's please? Thank you..Gowtham

The type of questions which can be asked are :

Steps required to configure a scenario
    1. Interface Determination-- RB_SPLIT and RB_CLASSIC, condtional Interface Determination
    2. Receiver Determination -- Conditional Receiver Determination.
    3. Sender / Receiver Agreement-- Why doesnt IDOC and HTTP have a sender agreement, etc.
Flow of how XI determines the configuration scenario
    >>Types of mapping
    1. Types of Java Mapping -- DOM and SAX Parser. Advantages and Disadvantages.
    2. XSLT mapping

    2. Use of each adapter
    -->Questions on Content conversion
    1. how and why is content conversion performed.
-->Questions on BPM and the step types in BPM.
    1. Correlation
    2. synch/asynch bridge
    3. Collect pattern.
    4. For each and par for each in a block
    5. send synchronously and asynchronously.
    6. Step types in BPM.
    -->Questions on ALERTS.
    1. How do u define Alert Category, rules, etc.
    2. How do you test an Alert.
    3. Alerts in a BPM
    -->Architecture of XI.
    1. How and what are the stacks available in XI
    2. Need for datatype, message type, message interface, message mapping, interface mapping, etc.
    3. Synch/ Asynch/ outbound/inbound/ abstract interfaces, etc.
How do you monitor your messages in XI.
    1. What is the difference between the monitoring done on the RunTimeWorkBench and the one done using SXMB_MONI.
    2. What is End to End Monitoring, Performance Monitoring, Cache Montioring etc.
    3. What is a Business System, Technical System, Logical System, and other questions related to the System Landscape Directory
    (SLD ).
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/14/80243b4a66ae0ce10000000a11402f/frameset.htm  LINK TO SAP - XI LIBRARY
    STEPS IN A SCENARIO:
First of all you would need to define your product, software component, business system and configure the technical landscape in the sld.
You then go on to create the objects in the repository, you import your software component here and then begin your design steps. To import your RFCs n Idocs if you require any before proceeding.
Then under the name space which you want, you go on to define your data types, message types and message interfaces.
Then you do your message mappings where you specify your source and target message types and the relation between them, then you do your interface mapping. If you are using a BPM, you do the integration process.
Once you have this done, you will have to move to the directory, here is where you define how you use the objects and how you configure them to work as a scenario.
You assign your business system to the configuration scenario which you have created, and create the communication channels. Then you go on to configure the receiver determination, interface determination, and the sender and receiver agreements. Once you’re done you will have make sure you activate your objects. The exact parameters steps depend on what kind of scenario you are implementing.
You can use sxmb moni or the runtime workbench to monitor the entire scenario which you have done.

  • Car Stereo System

    Hi Forum Members!
    First time post here.
I am overwhelmed by the number of different Car Stereo Systems  there are to buy in the world.
I am looking to surprise my mom with a new Car Stereo System for her 2006(?) Chevy Malibu.
My mom does not own an iphone or any apple product.
All I need is a Stereo that has BlueTooth Connectivity, built in Microphone to use with the BlueTooth for hands free calling,
and it needs an FM/AM Receiver, my mom does not listen to satellite radio
If you can point me in the right direction, that would help out a lot.
and also to any dashboard adapters i might need to help install it into her car
    Thank you

The Kenwood KDC-BT648U (last year's model...still available on website?), KDC-BT652U (This year's model...in stores but not on website...link points to Kenwood's info) and Sony's MEXBT3000P (also in stores but not on website....link points to Sony's product page) are great places to start.  Those are models that have a microphone built in, but there are several more available that have an external microphone for better hands free performance.  The question of adapters needed is kind of tricky if it is a Malibu in that year range.  The parts required can range in price dependent upon the options the car has.  If it has the information center that is built into the radio, then the dash kit is $199.99 and you would also need an antenna adapter.  If the information center is on a separate part of the dash then the dash kit is a more affordable @ $19.99 but would also require a wire harness that is $88.99 and would also need the antenna adapter.
While I am employed by Best Buy, all of my posts here are in a non-official capacity. Any information or recommendations that are given are done so in an attempt to help in any way that I can and are not an official part of my job. If you feel that I have helped, feel free to give me Kudos or mark my post as a solution...I like to know how well I am doing.

  • Question regarding Polling data from database using DB Adapters in BPEL

    Hi,
I have the following question regarding Polling data from database using DB Adapters in BPEL -
If I am selecting data from multiple tables/view to ultimately generate hierarchical xml document, is there a way that I specify polling all of these tables/views. Is polling limited only to one table/view?
    Thanks
    Ravi

    Hi Ravi,
your question seems to have been answered for the question of polling a set of tables with one as the root, and getting back a hierarchical xml representing multiple related tables.
However you can also poll for changes to both the root table and its related tables. Not sure if this was your question or the one already answered. If the former please check out the sample

  • A Question About MacBook Power Adapters

I found a mid-2007 black Macbook (Merom CPU) at my university's trash with a broken screen.
So, I took it apart and ordered a new screen for it (everything else worked):

But, the trashed Macbook didn't have a battery or AC adapter. I have a Macbook Pro and two 85W adapters. I Googled to see if I could use the 85W Pro adapter as a 60W replacement, and the answer seems to point to yes, so as long as the output level shows both 18.5V–4.6A and 16.5V–3.65A.
But, only my larger, older 85W adapter shows that:

My newer, smaller 85W adapter shows only 1 output instead ((16.5V-18.5V)-3.6A):

So, my question is, can I use the smaller 85W adapter with a Macbook?
