QuickTime Pro - I am trying to find a way to retrieve my Quick Time Pro code and re-register it but, because I bought it more than 180 days ago, I cannot find the code anywhere, or any way to get an answer from Apple's website.
I have been going round in circles, trying to resolve this
I bought the MPEG2 component from the Apple UK store on 4th July 2010. I still have the email and the order number but they are no use to me because it is more than 180 days since I ordered this from them.
My operating system got corrupted and I had to do a clean install, then a return of the relevant files, folders and applications from my Time Machine. With that should have been my MPEG2 component for QuickTime Pro but it refuses to register.
I need it to convert my videos taken on my older video camera, which is a Sony, using mpeg2. I cannot look at any of these videos any more, which is deeply irritating. Still lots of editing to do.
I think it is a bit off if I have to buy it all over again
Any ideas?

My iPhone 4 with iOS 6 is making me start to hate Apple. Any App and at any time I open and I can not view it or move for more than 2 minutes, they close themselves. During connections, it also gives this problem and the signal disappears after a few seconds back but often the person on the other end has hung up ... On iPad 3, all of my calendar items lasting more than one day do not appear correctly when looking at the monthly view of the calendar; only the first day of the appointment appears. For example, if I am taking a vacation for 4 days, only the first day of the vacation is marked on the calendar, instead of being listed on all 4 days. When I look at the weekly view, however, it is correct and is listed on all 4 days. The problem here of course is that at a glance, there is no way to look at my monthly schedule. On my iPhone, everything is correct, regardless of month or week view, so clearly this is an iPad problem I guess? Please advise on how this can be corrected. Thank you!
Unfortunately you can't do what you want. Many people have complained to Apple about this. I suggest you provide Apple feedback directly at http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html. They will not provide a direct response but hopefully if enough people provide feedback Apple will fix this.

You can adjust your Sold list to show up to 90 days of sales.It's a drop down menu. Since your buyers have already paid, the information should also be in Paypal - Recieved. Again you will have to adjust the calendar at the top of the listing to see more than your last ten sales.
Sounds of custom email notifications in Mail you would like DockStar and MailActOn. These things should really spice up your email on your Mac.

You would need to talk to the Apple Store from which you purchased the iPad. Apple's official return policy is 14 days, though it's been reported that the manager of some Apple Stores have been waiving that limit.
I doubt very much that the Apple Store will have anyone who speaks Chinese, though of course you can ask.

On Jun 19 my pc wouldn't load Windows & HP decided to do a system recovery on my pc on Jun 20.
Prior to the system recovery being performed all of my files & programs were burned onto discs.
A few days after the recovery was performed I re-installed Firefox. It was the same day that the newest version of Firefox was released. I was unable to reload the version I was previously using (I believe that it was version 4).
After re-installing Firefox I discovered that I lost all of my Firefox bookmarks.
I thought that the bookmarks would be on the back-up discs but I can't find them on the system recovery files that I loaded onto my pc.
I am using Windows 7 Home Premium. I have a HP G60 series laptop.Thanks for the info.
I did find the folder as described above. Under Profiles the sub-directory I found was: t6jyvmtf.default
There are 2 files in that sub-directory:
blocklist - which is an XML document &
bookmarks - which is Firefox document
When I selected bookmarks the document that opened does not contain (to my knowledge) the bookmarks.
The heading for the page is '''''Bookmarks''''' & right underneath that heading is '''Get Bookmark Add-ons'''
Underneath that is a heading '''Bookmarks Toolbar Folder''' with the following under it:

I checked each of the items that could be selected but none of them had my bookmarks.
I also checked the blocklist XML document - it opened Windows Internet Explorer with what appears to be programming language (although I could be wrong). At the top of the document it says - ?xml version="1.0" ?

Converting *.mpg files to mpeg4 using Quick Time Pro 7.
Recently I have tried to convert *.mpg files to mpeg4 using Quick Time Pro 7, I managed to convert the file to mpeg4 but there is no audio in the output file.
Is there a way to overcome this problem

Didn't the link to contact the iTunes Store staff in the 'Additional Information' section of that article work for you? If you don't already have a valid rescue email address, only Apple itself can reset the questions.

I Have changed my Apple ID password but that won't help as all my notes, messages, emails etc are on there, is there any way to wipe the IPhone without having it anymore? I can't erase the IPhone though "find my IPhone" app as I didn't download it on that IPhone. Thanks
Go to icloud.com. Log in with your Apple ID & Password. Go to the Find My iPhone section. Perform a remote wipe of the device.
You don't have to have downloaded any app. You only have to have enabled the Find My iPhone option under Settings > iCloud. If you did not do that, then you cannot remotely access the device.
If that's the case, then change ALL of your account passwords; email, banking, etc. All of them. And then monitor those accounts very closely! -

Maybe it's because I'm frugal...but couldn't you just setup a dumby account on something like Yahoo and set up your own "phishy" e-mail? Of course, you wouldn't attach a virus but it will be a test? You could get creative by attaching a batch script
