RadioButton Alignment With Large Font

Hi folks,
The XAML RadioButtons are fine when using the default font but when I boost the font size (see the image below) the button is way above the text. How do I make the button align with the text at a large font size? XAML code at the bottom of the message.

ITS with large fonts

We are using ITS to display some R/3 transactions. One of the requirements is that it works correctly with both large and small fonts (as a user preference in Windows settings, not css).
With large fonts, often the strings are cut - so not all characters fit.
Is there a fix for this? We need it to either ignore the user settings (and just display the transaction identically in all browsers) or -better- adjust the widths so everything fits, even if that means having scroll bars.

We fixed the problem ourselves by modifying the styles. It's not a real fix since we are just using the same size regardless of the users' setting (ie we override it) but it's definitely better than having missing characters.

Fontheight problem with large fonts, probably Table related

I use large fonts (size 22) and some websites that use tables as a layout tool do not display correctly, for example [http://www.khanacademy.org/#browse http://www.khanacademy.org/#browse]
or
[http://youtube.com http://youtube.com]
The bottom half of the font inside tables is overlayed by the line below and the only way the page can be read is by using View->Style->No Style
It looks like the table height doesn't take the font height into account, as soon as the minimum font size size is above 14 it becomes progressively unreadable.

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause such issues.

Make sure that you allow websites to choose their fonts.

It is better not to increase the minimum font size, but use an extension to set the default page zoom to prevent issues with overlapping text.

I need to input text from PC to iPad with large font size. Too much to ask?

Works well with PC to PC using just software likge Windows Live Messenger, but not with iPad because I haven't seen a Messenger app for iPad that can display large fonts or has custom font size option. They all use small font size that can't be changed.
I've also tried many VNC apps by writing the text in my PC to notepad and using the VNC to display the large text for iPad. Probelm is VNC's wont work well with 3G.
Is this really too much to ask from iPad?
If some app developer reads this, I'll buy an app for 50$ that has white background and can receive text sent from PC with custom font sizes. Doesn't have to have any other features. Just receive text from PC using the existing IM softwares like Windows Live etc or simple custom software.

I was wondering if you could help me out with my current situation. It seems like it is similar to your previous I/O delima. I think I might have to parse the data, but i dont know how to do that yet. I basically have to put the information from one text file into a database, and it is formatted in one way, and i need to format it a different way that SQL statements can read. Here are 2 entries of about 12,000 that i have in one text file:

Replace a period with larger font instead of having to change every single one on my own

I am trying to replace a size 12 period to a larger size period and I don't want to go in a select them all idividually and was wondering if there was any way that I could look up periods in my document and then replace them with a different size all at one time!?

I think you can use Find … to do this.
Select a single period and change it to the size you want. With it still selected,
Create a new Character Style from the selection (when I tested it I named the style Bigdot)
In the Find & Replace window, enter a period in both the Find and the Replace fields.
Under Find leave the Style set to Any (unless you want to restrict the search to, for example, just the Body style text or something like that)
Under Replace, set the style to your new Character style.
Click Replace All.

Photoshop cc opens with large fonts on screen, after reinstalation

running windows 7, after the first installation which was fine, my laptop restarted and when I opened the program, everything is extra large on my display, don't know hoe to get it fix, i have reinstalled the program already, same behavior. please help.

WEB Forms do not display properly with windows 95 LARGE fonts desktop setting

Hi,
We are using WEB forms 6.0 patch level 6 (We tried 6i but had too many bugs with it, we prefer to wait until at least a couple of patches are out, installation was a VERY painful experience for us)
We still have the following problem with WEB FORMS deployed on win95 desktops with LARGE FONTS destktop settings: The forms are not displayed correctly, sometimes there are no scroll bars, resizing a window gives weird results, part of the forms become inaccesible, some forms are blank, etc...
Can you verify or confirm that you have the same kind of problems ? We use jinitiator 1.1.18.
Is it fixed with 6i ? Is it fixed wit jinit 1.1.27 ?
We develop in smal fonts on win95 and recompile under solaris before deploying.

Thank you all for your fast asnwers. The "Use hardware acceleration when available" was the problem, I disabled it and I will post a message on my site about this.
The site is on-line in the same aspect since 2005, modifiyng the whole site to fit with Firefox11's default setting is not a good option. At that moment, placing a tabel (alligned to the center of the page) and puting in it the thumbnails with links generated by ExpressThumbnailCreator, than manually adding the description in the HTML view of FrontPage was the simplyest way possible to make the site appear properly on my 800*600 px resolution I used then. Of course, I upgraded my hardware and software since then, but the site remained mostly unchanged (except the index and a few files). I know it's time for a new version of the site but... my web-design knowledges are limited to basic HTML.

Why can't LabView 6 handle Windows large fonts?

I typically run WinXP at 1400x1050 with extra-large fonts set and
screen resolution set to 120dpi.
This makes LabView vi diagrams look like gibberish since all the text
overlaps each other or is otherwise invisible.

I am increasingly beginning to wonder about the actual utility of
hi-res screens when so many Windows app's font management is so
rudimentary. Albeit, much of the font problem is inherited from Windows'
own legacy issues and lack of design foresight.

Here is the deal. LV is paying attention to the large font setting and
making every font on the panel and diagram larger. Problem is that the
objects on the panel and diagram are smart enough to resize to fit the
font, but not smart enough to get out of each other's way. The fonts
grow, but all of the other icons and such are bitmap based, a VI icon is
32x32 remember, so when some objects grow and others don't. Also,
especially on the panel, some objects were already overlapping by user
design, and it is basically very hard for a drawing p
ackage to deal with
these sorts of issues.
I think that you will notice that MS basically gave up on paying
attention to font changes in their dialogs. Even with large fonts, most
of the system dialogs, property pages and the like, will use small fonts
because their layout would similarly go wacky.
One solution to this is to go to LV's Tools/Options menu to the fonts
page and set the fonts for Application, System, and Dialog to be
something similar in size to the original fonts. By default LV asks the
system what font to use, but you can override it.
This will not change all fonts in LV, only things that use the App,
System, or Dialog font, but that is pretty much 99 percent of VIs and
all of our dialogs and such.

when i click on pc suite it opens up very lage....

It is possible that your PC suite is unable to read your PC default fonts.
Once you open the PC suite with large fonts just check in control panel > display > appearence > font size. It should read as normal. If it does then you have a problem with PC suite

Issue with the font and alignment in SAP Script PDF

Hi Experts,
I have a problem with the font in SAP Script PDF conversion.
The output of the form is working fine but in the PDF the output is wrong.
There is a dutch letter ' ï ' which is pinted in the form output correctly but in the PDF output the character
has been changed to '#'.
and also the alignment of some text has beed changed without line spacing in between.
Please let me know what could be the problem and how to solve this issue.

Hi Prabhudas,
I am using the FM 'CONVERT_OTF' to convert the data to pdf.
The FM CLOSE_FORM is creating the IT_OTF internal table and the CONVERT_PDF uses that internal table to populate the         IT_PDF internal table and then using the FM 'SO_OBJECT_SEND' to send the PDF file to mail.
CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERT_OTF'
       EXPORTING
            format       = 'PDF'
       IMPORTING
            bin_filesize = g_filesize
       TABLES
            otf          = it_otf
            lines        = it_pdf.

Noob needs help using/managing large font collection in os10

Hope this is the correct forum for this question. I'm a os10 noob starting at a new, small startup design-oriented biz (6-7 macs) that needs to manage fonts - 100s, over a 1000. Other places I've worked used Font Reserve and I'm familiar with that program but I never knew if it came with os10 or you had to go buy it, and if you needed to buy a separate copy for each computer?
I'm trying to help get this biz set-up, but I know NOTHING about font usage/set-up in os10. I've always used ATM Deluxe4.6 (os9) and have over 2000 fonts nicely arranged in sets (took me an entire day, way back when). Would love to transfer these arranged sets into os10, if possible.
Is there a built-in font mgmt in os10? Is it any good for large collections? Is Font Reserve a good program for large font collections?
I don't even know where os10 stores fonts or the right questions to ask. Pls point me in the right direction!

Can't figure how to get larger fonts in terminal

I am new and very happy to say I've got Arch/XFCE/nfs working on network and soon to work on Samba but how in the wide wide world of sports can I get larger font on my terminal when in XFCE?

I too have experienced the "agony of defeat" with fonts and xterm. Here is how I use to launch my xterm:
xterm -fa "andale:size=18" -bg black -fg white -geometry 80x25 -tn xterm-color -sl 1000
* The key is the "size" parameter after the font (fa)mily name. I was using True Type fonts and was using "andale" in this case. I believe the size field should be applicable to whichever font you choose. Alternatively, I believe you can pass the "-fs" option to xterm to accomplish the same thing as ":size".
For example,
xterm -fa "andale" -fs "18"
will accomplish the same text size as in the first example. Just try different font size (fs) values, and see which values will actually scale for that font.
One caveat, I believe the "fa" option for xterm is limited to the freetype library fonts.
