RAM keeps going inactive (iMac)

Hello!
A few hours ago i upgraded my iMacs RAM to 12GBs from the standard 4, and now the majority of it keeps going inactive for no apparent reason (well any i can find).
I just want to know why this happens and is there anything i can do to stop this? Also can i run programs when the RAM is reading a lot of inactive memory?

Clients keep going inactive

Greetings,
We have recently deployed a SCCM 2012 site to replace our old SCCM 2007. We didn't migrate but instead built an new site and added the clients in.
Client deployment went okay and this were working for awhile but now I am getting random machines going "inactive". Redeploying the client brings it back into the "Active" status but this isn't a practical solution.
Where should I start with troubleshooting this issue?

My RAM keeps going down

Fastly. I use MemoryKeeper for that but I don not think that's working well.
First was 2GB Free space, 4GB total, then decreases to 1GB, 900MB, 800MB, 700MB, 600.....until 90KB...
What is happening?

Got the same error again. It helped to restart the website. But seriously, why is that necessary?

imessage on my iMac has created two iMessage account both asking for Apple ID....and no option to - (delete) one of the two duplicate accounts....how can I delete one of them it just bothers me due to sign in issues....when signed into one it signs out the other and goes inactive I just wanted to delete one of them so this issue doesn't happen....why doesn't it give the option to delete ONLY these two accounts

1. Don't confuse "Apple ID" with iTunes Account ID. You can have many Apple IDs but only one iTunes account active at a time.
2. If you "changed" your iTunes account ID, you actually have 2 accounts - one under the old name plus the new name.
3. You can't merge the accounts - they remain separate. Apps purcahsed under the old account name will update ONLY WHEN THE PHONE IS SIGNED IN TO THE OLD ACCOUNT NAME and visa versa.
4. Likewise, you can sync only the apps, music, media purchased under the account the phone AND iTunes are signed in to.

I understand that you are having issues with your HP 2310m monitor going blank and/or flickering. I am providing you with some steps you can try below:
Step 1. Unplug the power cord from the back of the monitor and the wall
Step 2. Hold the power button down for at least one minute
Step 3. Plug the power cord back into the monitor and then into the wall outlet (not a power bar or surge protector)
Step 4. Press the Menu button on the monitor
Step 5. Navigate to the Factory Reset option and select it

Since Yosemite, my iMac keeps going to sleep roughly every 10 minutes watching media

Since upgrading to Yosemite my trusty old iMac (mid 2007) keeps going to sleep roughly every 10 minutes whenever i'm watching media (either through a player or streaming online), regardless of power saving preferences. Everything else is working perfectly as it always has, as far as I can tell.
What am I missing? Are there new settings in Yosemite for this?

In addition to resetting the SMC as Link suggests.
You should also check and/or clean-vacuum the dust out of your iMac's air intakes to make sure that it is cooling properly.

That can't be it if it is working intermitently.
Actually, more often than not, this is caused by duplicate entries in either Mail's Outgoing SMTP servers, or in Keychain.
Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it/them, or delete it/them and start over.
Resetting your keychain in Mac OS X...
If Keychain First Aid finds an issue that it cannot repair, or if you do not know your keychain password, you may need to reset your keychain.

Please Help...why does my screen keep going to black in fcp?

I have just brought imac g5 (older version through private sale) and completed a beginners fcp course. When and got a lacie 250 , shot some stuff which I managed to capture! Then just tried to open project and now the screen keeps going to full black and I don,t know what to do! I would like to do a full system check and make sure all settings correct and to know why screen blacking out. I am very new to mac and don;t feel that at home with settings etc . Any advice would be very welcome and appreciated as I just want to practise now but I am stumped at the first hurdle!

The messages app in Mountain Lion keeps going offline

Hi, I am using ML on a 2010 MBP (13inch).
The message app has been configured with my Yahoo, Google Talk and iMessages accounts. The problem is that it keeps going offline. Oddly though, even when offline, I can get iMessages sent to me and it comes back online, however, my Gtalk and Yahoo friends don't see me when it auto goes offline. I tried enabling/disabling SSL in gtalk settings - did not help. I am sure its not my internet connection - I am now parallely using adium (after it kept going offline) and adium is always on for Google and Yahoo but the messages app keeps showing offline automatically (including message bar indication)

The other post I read seemed to indicate that the app "Closed" in the background when you were doing something in the foreground.
Crashed = the system tells you an App Unexpectedly Quit or there is a Crash log.
Crash Logs can be seen in Console then ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter

You can of course navigate to your Home Folder/Library/Logs/CrashReporter and find the last Crash if there is one and it will launch Console when you try to open it.
At present I have not tried closing all the Messages windows and then letting the computer get to Sleep.
What do you have set in this spot ?

I am wondering if this is a normal function of the App so that anyone who has access to your computer can't instantly access your Messages partly as iMessages show so much "history" when a chat is reopened.

Program monitor keeps going black in Premiere Pro CC

I'm working on a project and the program monitor keeps going black in Premiere Pro CC while I am working on the timeline. I've got like 28 GB of memory alocated to the program and just updated the latest driver for my video card. No clue why this keeps happening, but the only way I can get around it is to restart. When I go to close down the program freezes and I have to shut it down in the system preferences.

here's my story. I'm also having this problem with video appearing in the Program monitor. The only thing I did differently is that yesterday when I was editing, I pulled the Program monitor out of the main Premiere interface and dragged it over to my second desktop monitor. that worked just dandy.
when I opened Premiere today, and opened an entierly different project, there was no video in the output window (and it was locked back into the main interface). I also can't select clips on the TL. The software locks up, and I have to restart.
I am able to create a new project and render the countdown leader. I was also able to import the project that wasn't displaying correctly, and have it work just like normal. So I think I'm back in business for now.
I'm deeply concerned though. I'm doing a webinar about Premiere very soon (with rehearsals tomorrow!). A failure like this looks bad for everybody. Also, I don't relish having to re-import all of my old projects in this way to get the basics working again. Any idea what went wrong? Right now I feel like I'd better never drag the program window to a second monitor to enjoy a larger program monitor while editing.

Computer keeps going to sleep even though it is set up not to

I recently helped a friend set up his iMac to stream to his home stereo system so things like Pandora could be played throughout the house. The problem we are having is his computer keeps going to sleep and back to the log-in screen. In energy saver, we set the computer and display to never go to sleep. We also un-checked the box that says "put the hard disks to sleep when possible." Even after doing this, the display still goes dark and when the mouse is moved to turn the screen on it is back at the log in screen. This causes pandora to stop playback, which is not good since this is why we set up the streaming in the first place. Why is the computer still going to sleep when we are telling it to never do so?

Couldn't hurt to check the hard disk.
Follow these instructions to verify the hard disk for errors:
Open Disk Utility, in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder.
Select your disk, and click First Aid.
Click Verify Disk.
If the disk needs repairs, do one of the following:
Insert your Mac OS X Install disc in your computer’s optical drive or an optical drive connected to your computer, and then restart your computer. When you hear the startup tone, hold down the C key until you see the progress indicator, which looks like a spinning gear.
Follow the onscreen instructions until the menu bar appears with the Utilities menu in it, choose Utilities > Disk Utility, click First Aid, and then click Repair Disk. When Disk Utility is finished, from the Menu Bar select Utilities/Startup Disk. Select MacintoshHD 10.5 in the window and click: Restart
If you don’t have a Mac OS X Install disc, restart your computer while holding down the Shift key. As your computer starts up, it performs a disk check similar to the one Disk Utility performs.

Need Help Expanding RAM On An Aging iMac

I am looking to expand my 2009 iMac from the current 2GB RAM to 4GB RAM (or higher if that is possible, and still affordable). The problem I have is I can't afford the $200 price tag for the brand new modules on sale at apple.com. So I wanted to know if there is a less expensive but effective alternative? I am not the most computer savvy, so I need guidance in selecting appropriate modules that would be reliable and compatable, but for less $. I would like to keep this aging iMac as up-to-date as I can as it has been the best computer buy I have EVER made! I upgraded to OS10.7 a few months ago, and I saw a warning I probably didn't have enough RAM to run it really efficiently when I installed it, and they were right. My iMac as slowed down some since the OS upgrade, and I'd like to make an upgrade to the RAM capacity to help speed it back up. Thanks in advance for your advice!

You can purchase any third-party RAM for much less than Apple charges and install it yourself. 2009 iMacs can accommodate up to 8 GBs of RAM: 2 - 204-pin PC3-8500 (1066 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMMs. The Late 2009 model can accommodate up to 16 GBs.
You can buy good RAM at OWC or DataMem.

My HP OfficeJetPro K8600 keeps going to error during printing. How can I cure this?

HP OfficeJetPro K8600 keeps going to "error" when trying to print from Windows 7. Error came up the same with old computer using Windows XP.

It is connected wirelessly. The other printer was connected with a USB. Getting it to print again---usually by just turning printer off and back on again. This usually results in getting 1 page printed. Then I have to do it again. I have deleted printer and reinstalled. I have changed IP from automatic to manual. I unplugged printer for a short time (1-2 minutes) and plugged back in. I have restarted both IMAC and printer after each process. This is really frustrating and time consuming, driving me nuts.
