Ran disk utility and logged this; 2013-12-27 06:57:22 -0600: Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent" has been modified and will not be repaired.
What would cause this file to altered or modified in the first place? Told not delete it as it may be essential by tech, not much else concerning this file as he stated he is not informed enough.

What does this message mean? "Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent" has been modified and will not be repaired" I get this when I try to repair permissions in disk utility.
It's an innocuous error you can ignore. It was introduced with previous updates for ARD and/or Java before Lion. These are messages, not errors. They will cause no harm, and they will be repeated each time you repair permissions.

Warning: SUID file “System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent” has been modified and will not be repaired. When I repaired "disk permission", this message was what came up. What does this mean, and how can I fix it?
The opperating system I am using is 10.7.4, and updating to the latest version currently. Computer is running fine, except that when I did some utility repairs, I got the warning above, and not really sure what do, in regards to repairing it correctly, not just getting the message off of my computer.
Thank you for your help, and please only contribute if you know about this issue please. That's a status message which can be safely ignored.

When I run repair permissions I continue to get this message even after a full reformat and re-install of OS. "Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent" has been modified and will not be repaired."
Doug,
According to Apple, Mac OS X: Disk Utility's Repair Disk Permissions messages that you can safely ignore. -
Hi There! I have a question on Kernel Task-Threat. How can I clean my computer? This is the message that persists when cleaning disc--Warning: SUID file “System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent” has been modified and will not be repaired.
That's a routine message and it means nothing. Don't waste your time repairing permissions unless you know you have a problem that can be solved that way, which you probably never will.

Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent" has been modified and will not be repaired.
When I repair my permissions, this never gets repaired. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
Also, can anyone tell me why my disk permissions are constantly being changed? It's a recurring message. It's innocuous and of no concern. It is the result of the ARD installation you did. Just ignore it.

Repaired permissions once, got rid of the the previous iTunes errors. Cleared history and repaired again, still get:
Warning: SUID file “System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent” has been modified and will not be repaired.
Any ideas?I have just started seeing this message and, almost simultaneously, have started to have problems with various different apps crashing for no real reason. Just a coincidence?
For interest, SketchUp crashed with the message
"Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)
Exception Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0x00000000f7f7fff9"
and QuarkXpress with the message
"Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)
Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x0000000000000000"
Am I just punching at shadows or could these be linked?
Hope someone can put my mind at rest.
Cheers....Scotty -

Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks without erasing drive
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
Reinstall Mountain Lion or Mavericks
OS X Mavericks- Reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Reinstall Mac OS X
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
if possible because it is three times faster than wireless. -
Besides the obvious, does anyone have any info. as to what this means:"Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent" has been modified and will not be repaired."
what do you mean by the obvious?, it's a permission issue, ARD must run as systems administrator to boardcast, tunnel IPv6 calls, etc.

No permissions repair trouble the whole time I had my new MacBook Pro. Now, I get this message (after a ton of necesary repairs:
Warning: SUID file “System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent” has been modified and will not be repaired.
What does this mean, and what can i do?I see the same thing but it does not appear to be a problem. Some discussion in:
https://discussions.apple.com/message/15688567#15688567
I'm actually seeing a lot fewer permission repairs than I used to see (and they didn't seem to cause problems either ). Hope that helps! -
