Random song number at end of list

I have a custom album with a bunch of random songs from random people and when view this album every song is in order by number except one. There is a random song at the end of the list and for the life of me I cant figure out how to get it back to the right spot. All the tag data is correct. Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?

Here are two screen shots, as you can see one random song is at the end, and the taging data seems to be correct.

  • Choosing a Song in List View Plays a Random Song Instead with iOS 7.1

    When I'm playing a playlist and try and select a specific song via the "more"? button in the top-right (the icon looks like a three-item bulleted list), instead of playing the song I selected it plays a random song in the playlist. It started doing this after updating my iOS to 7.1. It does not do this if I select the song by going back to the playlist using the arrow button in the top-left. It does not do it when shuffle is turned off, but I never listen to my music without shuffle, so that's not very helpful to me I've tried it with multiple playlists and multiple songs, same result.
    Any thoughts on if this is a setting, or is this a bug?

    Try quitting the Music app and then reset the iPhone like I describe below.
    Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset your phone. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

  • Please HELP! Song appears in playlists and song lists, but when clicked, it goes to a random song. Nano only, not itunes. I have the nano thats almost like a square with the click wheel.

    ONLY SOME songs appear in song list, but when clicked, play a random song instead of the one i chose. You can play the song on iTunes, just not the ipod nano. (the one that has a clickwheel and looks almost like a square)

    You can only add music to iTunes Match from your iTunes library on your computer, not from your iOS device.  If you have music on your iPad that is not on your computer, you'll have to import it to your iTunes library on your computer to add it to iTunes Match.
    Music purchased from the iTunes store can be imported directly to your iTunes library by authorizing your computer for the Apple ID(s) used to purchase the music (in Store>Authorize This Computer), then connecting the iPad to your computer, opening iTunes and going to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.  Music from other sources will require using 3rd party software to transfer to your computer, such as Touch Copy.

  • Random songs won't play all the way through -- what's going on?

    A really annoying problem has developed with my iTunes. Recently, and with increasing frequency, it seems, random song files will, when added to my library, quit before the end. iTunes behaves as if the end of the song is reached and goes on to the next tune. This usually happens in the first 20 seconds or so, though there have been cases where it happens later (and maybe more where it would have happened if I had happened to listen further) as well as instances where only a fraction of a second of the song will play.
    These files will play perfectly well in the Finder or in a browser. It appears that something happens to them when they are added to the library. I have had some success with simply using xattr to edit the metadata (what is edited doesn't seem to matter -- I was just trying lots of things) before copying to the iTunes library, but that doesn't always work. Sometimes, deleting the song from iTunes and re-adding it will eventually work (after around seven or eight tries, when it does -- super annoying!) Doing things to the original file (i.e., before it is "added") can seem to affect this behavior, though in unpredictable ways; but once it is added, there doesn't appear to be anything you can do.
    So, my speculation is that something happens to the files when they are copied. If the file has been copied and is in the iTunes library, "create AAC/mp3 version" from the Advanced menu fails and displays error # -50. I can't find a definition for that error, but maybe someone knows? (Speaking of which, why IS it so difficult to find out what the error codes refer to? Is there a list somewhere? Because that would be pretty useful.)
    (Also, btw, I have looked around for other solutions to this problem, and though I haven't found an answer, there have been others who have asked the question. The first answer usually given in these situations is to make sure the start/stop time boxes in the options aren't checked. Well, they aren't.)
    Has anyone else experienced this, or know what's going on? TIA.

    Are those songs variable bit rate?
    It kinda sounds like you might need the VBR fix, although why they worked OK on your old PC. I'm not sure.

  • Random songs are stopping early when playing in iTunes 11.2.2, any ideas as to why?

    I've never had this issue before now, and it's only doing it to random songs. I checked the stop time and it's set to the end of each one, but iTunes still ends it earlier than it should. Any ideas? Thanks...

    Hey bgrsox,
    Thanks for the question. I understand that random songs are not playing back fully in iTunes. The following resource may assist you:
    Songs in iTunes may not play back completely
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4357
    Symptoms
    Occasionally, if a song purchased from the iTunes Store on a Mac or PC was not downloaded completely, the song may not play back fully. The song may abruptly stop during playback, and iTunes may start playing the next song in your library or playlist.
    Resolution
    If iTunes in the Cloud is available in your country, try the following steps to resolve the issue:
    1. Delete the purchased song that is exhibiting the problem from your iTunes library.
    2. Click on the Purchased link in the iTunes Store to view your previously purchased music.
    3. Download your previously purchased song from this list.
    Note: iTunes in the Cloud, which allows you to download previously purchased songs from the iTunes Store, is not available in every country. Learn if iTunes in the Cloud is offered in your country.

  • Ipod Classic occasionally skips during random songs

    Hi people, hope you can help. I've tried searching for this problem in other threads but can't find my specific problem.
    I got an Ipod Classic 120GB for Xmas. I have used iTunes to download music onto it. It plays ok for several tracks, then randomly it'll get partway through a track and suddenly skip to the next one. Where my problem appears to be different,is that it's not the same songs, the next time the track that skipped will play properly! I've reset the Ipod, re loaded everything using either computer in the household, and the problem still exists.
    We took it back to Curry's. It was left with them to listen to, when we went back they agreed it was doing this. As it was over the 28 day period they sent it back to Apple. They have now returned it to me saying their tests did not find anything wrong, but they have put the latest software on it.
    We brought it home, and you guessed it, exactly the same problem.
    Anyone have any ideas?

    Different people have different issues.
    1. Some people have songs that "skip" but the song keeps playing -- there's just a gap or pause in the song.
    2. Some people have songs that end abruptly but another attempt to play the song works fine.
    3. Then there's my problem, in which the song ends abruptly before it's supposed to and it does it every time.
    I don't know about 1 or 2, but I believe I've figured out what's going on with problem no. 3 and how to fix the broken songs. Read on.
    During a mass transfer/sync of songs, iTunes "infects" about 5% of my songs with gaps in the data. The tags embedded in the file tell the iPod that Song X lasts x:xx, but when it reaches that glitch iTunes put in the data stream, the song suddenly ends and the next one begins playing (or the end-of-playlist menu comes up of it was the last song in the list). If I go back to the beginning of the a broken song, it will end at the same point. If I press the select button and scrub past the point where the song suddenly cuts off (about 30 or more seconds past the break), it will play the remainder of the song, so that data does exist on the hard drive. Also, the songs play perfectly FROM MY HARD DRIVE using iTunes or QuickTime. But the clone iTunes put on the iPod has some genetic drift, as any attempt to play that file from the IPOD's hard drive (via manually managing music and using iTunes to play the song) will result in the same abrupt end as experienced when playing through the iPod.
    The fix is to delete the faulty file from the iPod and have iTunes put a fresh copy on. THERE IS NO QUICK, EASY SOLUTION. Identify the songs which end early on the iPod and uncheck them (You can't manually manage music, and you have to sync only checked songs and videos). Then sync the iPod. Then check the songs again and sync the iPod again. iTunes will put those songs back on the iPod.
    Actually, it's fairly quick to fix the broken songs, but identifying the broken songs is time-consuming. I last had iTunes transfer my entire library (14.2 GB) on 4/6/2009, and I'm still going through to identify the songs iTunes failed to transfer properly. I'll need about another month.
    I've reported this problem to Apple. [I recommend you do the same|http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html].

  • (ios5 ipad bugs)I can't get changes of album art, artist, album and other tags to show up in the iPad music player, but they show up correctly in the iTunes device view. Certain random songs do not sync correctly.   Wifi sync hasn't worked yet.

    (ios5 ipad bugs)I can't get changes of album art, artist, album and other tags to show up in the iPad music player, but they show up correctly in the iTunes device view. Certain random songs do not sync correctly.   Wifi sync hasn't worked yet.
    I mostly use technology for education and professional audiovisuals and lights.
    I don't sync  music because I use music from at least 4 different computers. (manually mange music)
    I use my iPad to play performance tracks for church and a local gospel group out of our church, Won4Christ.
    I chose to buy the iPad because the laptop of one of the group members (dellxps running iTunes) was randomly losing and mixing up music and I wanted a more stable option that was bigger than my iPod touch.
    I tried to add some data to music libraries that I previously added to my iPad, but the data only shows up when looking at the device in iTunes.
    Wifi sync has not worked on either my laptop or desktop ( both running windows 7 enterprise 64 and newest iTunes) not really a big issue, but very annoying
    When browsing through library playlist albums on the iPad, random artwork shows up on playlists with no artwork that you touch while dragging, and it does not go away until you change to another navigation tab and back.
    Random songs out of hundreds that I added showed up in iTunes grayed out with a sync circle beside them.  Those songs would play back okay on the iPad but were unplayable through the iTunes device view.  I had to delete the songs manually through the library along with the playlist and add them again.
    These seem to be major stability bugs in the "new" music app and iTunes.  My only option right now seems to be to delete the songs that I want to change and re-add them with the changes already applied rather than changing the id3 tags and artwork on the existing music. I hope apple will release updates to resolve these issues.
    Thank you for actually making it to the end of this manuscript of annoyances.

    Just wondered if anyone had any other suggestions.

  • ORA-01785: ORDER BY item must be the number of a SELECT-list expression

    I have a dynamic SQL on a page. The SQL is dynamic because there are 3 LOV fields from which the user may make selections, and those field values are used in the WHERE clause. Also, the 2nd LOV field is populated with AJAX based on the 1st LOV's selection. And, the SQL joins to another table. The report has 7 sortable columns. The main table the SQL runs over has about 1,000 rows in it.
    The 2nd table has about 500 rows. (Sorry, I'm not sure what information you might need to help me, so I listed several details.)
    The application, and page, have been working flawlessly for several weeks. Then, yesterday the page was being used and the user received the "ORA-01785: ORDER BY item must be the number of a SELECT-list expression" error. The error just appeared out of the blue, so to speak. After weeks of of usage this is the first time this error has appeared. The application had not been changed, but they had been entering data into the main table and the table joined to in the SQL. The application is in production, so I can't put the application into DEBUG, etc. to see what SQL is being built.
    Anyway, I was trying to debug the page today and was doing selections and seeing what would display, then as suddenly as the page quit working it started working correctly. No code changes made, no server changes made (to my knowledge), and no data changes made.
    I'm new to both Oracle and Apex, and am not a SQL, Oracle or Apex expert. So, I am very perplexed and don't have any idea of what could be happening.
    I don't know if it's an issue with the SQL, AJAX not loading the select fields properly, a corrupted table, a server load issue, or something else all together.
    Any suggestions?
    Also, I'm not familiar with Oracle error messages. Can they be red herrings sometimes? Because, I don't programmaticly code the ORDER BY of the SQL. Apex appends that part. So, how could that aspect quit working. And, then suddenly start working.
    Sorry, but I'm extremely confused. :-) Any suggestions or help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks, Tony

    Hi Dan,
    Thanks for the feedback. I'm not going to be dogmatic about possible cause, but it has myself and another Oracle developer (who writes SQL and PL/SQL in his sleep) stumped. He doesn't think it's the SQL. Your suggestion was one of the first things we thought of considering the error message we got, but from Scott's reply that it could be a red herring, and after additional testing we've ruled the SQL out for now.
    I understand what you're saying, but the SQL selects all the columns (about 40 columns are selected) that are sortable columns on the report. I've sorted by all the columns by clicking on them and that aspect works without error.
    The SQL is created dynamically and is quite large. I've included below just for information purposes.
    Thanks, Tony

  • Random generated number along with barcode in smartforms

    Hi All,
    Is it possible to add some random generated number by system to add along with the end of the barcode in smartforms. (what could be the field) If so how it can be done. Tanks in advance
    Regards
    GK

    Hi Tankx man 4 the valuable reply,
         I am able to get that, but what my problem is,
    Eg: In my GR a item with 10 qty, so i made the qty as input and based upon that i am printing 10 labels. for ur ref the code is below"
    menge = TRUNC( is_mseg-menge ).
    DO menge TIMES.
    header-slno = header-slno + 1.
    APPEND header TO itab.
    the complete program is like as follows;
    menge = TRUNC( is_mseg-menge ).
    DO menge TIMES.
    header-slno = header-slno + 1.
    APPEND header TO itab.
    CALL FUNCTION 'QF05_RANDOM_INTEGER'
    EXPORTING
    RAN_INT_MAX   = '999999999'
    RAN_INT_MIN   = '100000000'
    IMPORTING
    RAN_INT       = RANINT
    EXCEPTIONS
    INVALID_INPUT = 1
    OTHERS        = 2.
    IF SY-SUBRC EQ 0.
    ENDIF.
    WRITE :/ RANINT.
    ENDDO.
    but in my barcode all the label has the same random number, can u say how to solve this.

  • Random songs are missing from iTunes folders from CD's I converted.

    The dreaded exclamation point has shown up on a number of random songs that were converted from my music CD's and are completely gone from my hard drive, including the iTunes folder. The titles and descriptions are there, just not the music. Even stranger, after I've reloaded the affected files back into iTunes, the same songs keep disappearing over time. It's maddening, any idea what's going on?

    It has always been very basic to alway maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion.
    Have you failed to do this?

  • Next to song number

    so i have i tunes and i have motorola cingular v3i, i was able to load songs on the phone with no problem, then i upgraded itunes a couple of days ago and now when i go to load a song to my device which is titled 'heather' the song acts as if it loads on the phone then when i go into the device heather to see it there next to the song number on the left is a DOT. so the song goes over.. says its listed as song number 1 then it will look kinda like 1* but not a star, just a dot. and it never goes to the phone. does anybody have any clue what i can do to make it load and make that dot go away? thank you so much !
    -Heather

  • Random phone number in my apple info

    I'm looking for an email address to contact Apple re iCloud account problems.
    I just logged on to change my Apple ID password, and there was some random phone number listed under my information. The "Midwives of St Augustine" to be exact. I'd like to send this information to Apple, but it's pretty clear that they discourage getting email.
    (When I found contact settings to call, it wanted a serial number. Clearly, I don't have one for iCloud.)

    FYI
    It turns out this was another person with my exact name. I've had my .Mac account for over 10 years, so I'm sure this happened pre-security. But it's something to look out for. I had an Apple tech person working on this, and I wasn't able to change security questions or add a recovery email since the @mac.com was "legacy." I was just told to change my password.
    Ironically, during last night's iPhone update, it requested recovery questions and an email address.

    What is your iTunes version?
    If iTunes 11, have you checked the "Up Next" list? If it is not empty, try if clearing "UP Next" will help:
