Rc.conf and module parameters.. how?

Im setting up my joystick which is 2 axis 6 button, the standard 'analog' module loads up as a 4 axis 4 button where 2 buttons are displayed as analog...
I have it working perfect with
modprobe analog map=gamepad
is it possable to add the parameter in rc.conf?
would it be as simple as MODULES=(joydev analog map=gamepad)?

cheers tomk for pointing me in the right direction.
got it sorted. Ive never had to edit the modprobe.conf in the past so it was a 'aaaaah thats what it does' kinda moment... simple really if you know where to look.
cheers

• Rc.conf and modules

Hello gentlemen,
I recently re-installed Arch on my PC and noticed that the modules section in rc.conf is empty. My previous Arch installation rendered several modules that were automatically loaded which was reflected in the modules section. Did I miss something?
Everything works as a charm though and I manually added the modules I wanted to start.

Mektub wrote:
new2arch,
when you have MOD_AUTOLOAD="yes" in /etc/rc.conf, the needed modules should automatically load.
You can always explicitly load (or not) specific ones.
F.e., I have:
MODULES=(!snd-pcsp)
Mektub
Mektub - I don't recall how that particular line in rc.conf looks like in my newly built system but I'll check it out later. I also don't remember if I had to explicitly change "AUTOLOAD=NO" into "YES" when I first installed Arch about a year ago, but on my laptop it says "yes" and there are a bunch of modules present.
I've disabled the system beeps in rc.conf, and also enabled fuse so I guess modules are autoloaded but by udev and those aren't being shown i rc.conf.

• How to access module parameters?

Hi,
I'm developing own module for XI File Adapter.
I found in the weblogs how to get source file name. Thanks.
But how do I get custom parameter specified for the module?
Where could I check all readable parameters, apart from source file name? For instance source dir?
Thanks.

Hi
The parameter "moduleContext" in the process (moduleContext,inputModuleData) method has a method getContextData(String name)....
This can be used to read the module configuration parameters.
For the filename, i believe you are doing the following:-
using the getSupplementalData(String param) of inputModuleData with the value for param being 'module.parameters' to get a hashtable and out of the hash table you are reading an entry for "FileName"
So let me suggest you a wild try...Did you try checking for "SourceDirectory" in the hashtable?
You could also get all the keys/values in this hashtable and put it somewhere in the xml and see what all parameters are there in message monitoring(This is just a suggestion for a simple debugging...).
Thanks & Regards,
Renjith

• Difference between Import and Export parameters in Function Module

Hi All,
I am unclear about the import and export parameters, when i create a function module. Can anyone explain abt this. However when i call the function module in any program the import parameters in Function module are displayed as exporting in program amd the export parameters as importing.
Any help on this would be appericiated.
Shejal.

HI,
Import parameter in FM is the value u provide to FM for processing.
export is the value u get from FM after processing.
when u call a FM in a progam the import parameter will appear as Export bcos u r giving value to the FM.
and u r getting value from FM in import parameter(bcos u r importing).

In the Funtion Module: SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1- How to add TO and CC email ids?
In the TABLE parameter RECEIVERS, there is field RECEIVER where we pass email ids and field COPY which should be 'X'.
But my concern is how will it distinguish that which email ids should be in TO and which should b in CC?
Kindly help. Thanks in advance.
Thanks & Regards,

Hello Anindita,
Say you need to send mail to 2 receivers and the 1st one is TO and the second is CC.
Just create 2 entries in the internal table of type SOMLRECI1.
wa_receiver-receiver = <email id of TO>
wa_receiver-express = 'X'.
wa_receiver-rec_type = 'U' (if sending to an external internet id - yahoo,gmail etc)
append wa_receiver to it_receiver.
clear wa_receiver.
wa_receiver-receiver = <email id of CC>
wa_receiver-express = 'X'.
wa_receiver-rec_type = 'U' (if sending to an external internet id - yahoo,gmail etc)
wa_receiver-copy = 'X'.
append wa_receiver to it_receiver.
clear wa_receiver.
Hope this helps

• How to understand "outbound parameters" and "inbound parameters" in WE20?

Hi,
How to understand "outbound parameters" and "inbound parameters" in transaction code:WE20? Which side is based to set the outbound/inbound parameters?
As I can only set "outbound parameters" for the both partner type:customer and vendor.
so, When do we need to set the parameter "inbound parameter"?
Thanks.

Hi,
If you deals with inbound IDoc processing then you need only to maintain partner profile for inbound parameter.
However, if you deal with outbound IDoc processing then you need to setup partner profile for outbound parameter.
In special case, you may need to setup both inbound and outbound parameters for example the sender needs to have confirmation or acknowledgement for completion of inbound IDoc processing.

v_id number;
blk varchar2(10):='DEFAULT';
Begin
v_id:=p_session.get_value_as_number (p_block_name=>blk,p_attribute_name=>'A_ID');
if v_id > 0 then
htp.formOpen('PORTAL.wwa_app_module.link?p_arg_names=_moduleid&p_arg_values=2649500412&p_arg_names=_show_header&p_arg_values=YES&p_arg_names=ID&p_arg_values='||to_char(v_id),'post');
htp.formSubmit(NULL,'Upload Files');
htp.formClose;
end if;
End;
But I want to open a Page containing the Form instead of just opening the Form. Is this possible to open a Page and pass paramters to the page, and then let the form inside the Page access the passed paramters. The reason for this is that a Form cannot be based on a page template, or can it? When opening the form i want to keep the left menu, which I can if it is a page based on my template with the left menu.
Best regards
Halvor

Hi,
You can do this by calling the url of the page with the form. You can then use p_arg_names and p_arg_values to pass parameters. In the called form you can get the value from p_arg_names and p_arg_values and assign it to the form field.
You can call this code in the success procedure of the calling form.
declare
v_id number;
blk varchar2(10):='DEFAULT';
v_url varchar2(2000);
Begin
v_id:=p_session.get_value_as_number (p_block_name=>blk,p_attribute_name=>'A_ID');
v_url := <page_url>;
if v_id > 0 then
call(v_url||'&p_arg_names=id&p_arg_values='||v_id);
end if;
End;
In the called form in "Before displaying form" plsql section write this code.
for i in 1..p_arg_names.count loop
if p_arg_names(i) = 'id' then
p_session.set_value(
p_block_name => blk,
p_attribute_name => 'A_ID',
p_value => p_arg_values(i)
end if;
end loop;
This code picks up the value from p_arg_values and assigns it to the form field.
Hope that helps.
Thanks,
Sharmila

• How to save business processes structure and monitoring parameters?

Hi dears!
I've got a little question -is it possible to save business processes structure and monitoring parameters as a local file?
Thanks in advance!

One way to resolve this problem is use the method commit_and_refresh as shown below.

And why is that bluetooth is still loaded even if it's !bluetooth? And is it possible to background ntfs-3g?
Thanks all for advices!

Please clarify what you mean. If the bluetooth service is started, then there is a bug or something very very odd. IF on the contrary you mean that the bluetooth-related modules are loaded by udev, this is perfectly normal: udev autoloads modules according to your hardware, not to your services. You need to blacklist the loaded bluetooth-related kernel modules (check them with 'lsmod') and to blacklist them in the MODULES array.

• Reg Input parmeters and Output parameters.

Defining a Form Interface
Use
You define a form interface to send data from your application to a form.
Integration
The form interface is a part of the Interface form object and is defined in the Form Builder. The form interface of a form is structured in the same way as the interface of a function module in the system. However, form interfaces do not support Changing parameters.
Prerequisites
● You have created an Interface form object.
● The application program provides the data that you want to insert in the form. Therefore, you already know the types of the corresponding variables.
The semantics of the valid parameter types match the semantics of a function module,
See also:
Getting Information about Interface Parameters
Overview of Function Modules (in ABAP Workbench: Tools)
Creating Function Modules (in ABAP Programming (BC-ABA))
Procedure
1. Open the required interface in the Repository Browser of the ABAP Workbench.
2. The Interface tab is displayed. Under Form Interface, double-click the Import node.
3. You see a screen for entering import parameters. This screen also shows the standard parameter /1BCDWB/DOCPARAMS. You cannot change this parameter.
You use this parameter in your application program, to specify the value for the language setting, for example. To display this structure in the ABAP Dictionary, double-click the SFPDOCPARAMS type.
4.      XML schema-based interface
○ The standard parameter /1BCDWB/DOCXML with the type XSTRING is used for sending data from the application program.
ABAP-based or Smart-Forms-compatible interface
○ To insert a new line, choose Insert Line (). Enter the parameter names of the data you want to import. These names are valid for the whole form and do not have to match the variable names in the data collection program. All data types are valid. TYPE can be selected under Type Assignment.
5. When you double-click Export, you see the standard parameter /1BCDWB/FORMOUTPUT of the generated function module. You cannot change this parameter.
You use this parameter in your application program, to make the generated form available as a PDF for further processing, for example.
6. To display the exceptions used by the generated function module, double-click Exceptions.
7.      Activate the interface.
At runtime, the application program must provide the parameters. If a parameter has been defined in the form, but is not defined when the application program is called, then the output of the form ends with the program crashing (hex dump).
However, it is also possible that the application program provides parameters that the form does not need. You do not need to mention these parameters in the form; they can also be specified in a different order from the code of the application program. This has the advantage that an application program can work with several different forms.
Migrated Smart Forms Interface or New Smart Forms-Compatible Interface
When you edit the interface of a migrated Smart Form or a new interface that is compatible with Smart Forms, the Tables option gives you extra parameters. When you set the Import, Export, and Exceptions parameters, the system also lets you use the standard parameters from the Smart Forms.
If you have a Smart Forms-compatible interface, you can use the existing application program of this Smart Form without making any modifications. (See also Switching Runtime in Migrating Smart Forms.)
Result
You have defined the form interface and you can use the specified parameter names in the form context.
