Re: Sun One conflicting with Apache

I have Sun One 4.0 ASP Server and Apache 2.0.43 and Tomcat 5.0.28 and I noticed that when I added the JK Mounts to Apache in order for Apache to become the dominant Web Server as opposed to Tomcat on the Unix side, that the Sun One statements caused conflict. Specifically:
LoadModule casp2_module /var/Chilisoft/casp/module/sunos5_optimized/apache_2.0.x/20020903/standard/mod_casp2.so
AND
CaspLib /var/Chilisoft/casp/asp-server-3000
** When these lines were commented out, Apache worked fine and was able to bring back the Client page as well as data. Is there a port conflict with Apache or something else that I may be missing?
thanks!
Benjiwolf12

I have fixed this problem.
Apparently, the order of where the 'Load Module' is placed in Apache is very important. I moved the Load Module down to the bottom of the httpd.conf file and now the conflict is resolved.
cheers!
Chris

  • Does Sun One crashes with Win 2003 ?

When I deployed the app in a Win NT 2000 I dont have any problem but when I'm using Windows NT 2003 server, with cold fusion and Sun One Server 6.1.
I faced that images and css files are not loaded correctly.
In some desktops I can not see the app since Windows Explorer but in others I can. They have the same connection configuration.
    Even I'm receiving this exception.

  • Integration of Sun One messaging with Trend IMSS

I have a Sun One messaging server 6.0 with two front ends delivering mails to backend clustered MTA through LMTP.
I need to integrate Trend IMSS for email scanning which is on a different server on Windows platform.

You can test IP based channel switching by running:
./imsimta test -rewrite random@[IP address of Trend IMSS system] e.g.
    root@peter:2 [sbin] # ./imsimta test -rewrite random@[127.0.0.1]

      envelope rev address   = blah@[127.0.0.1]  (route (tcp_intranet-daemon,tcp_intranet-daemon)) (host [127.0.0.1])
      name                   =

    Extracted 733 address action list:
        blah@[127.0.0.1]
    Address list expansion:
    -13 expansion total.
    Submitted address list:
Address list error -- 5.1.2 unknown host or domain: blah@[127.0.0.1]Note the: "route (tcp_intranet-daemon,tcp_intranet-daemon)" which due to the following rule:
    [] $E$R${INTERNAL_IP,$L}$U%[$L]@tcp_intranet-daemonYou should see "route (tcp_scanner-daemon,tcp_scanner-daemon)".
    Here is my tcp_scanner definition
    !tcp_scanner
    tcp_scanner smtp mx single_sys subdirs 20 noreverse maxjobs 7 pool SMTP_POOL
    daemon my_a-v_scanner.com enqueue_removeroute
tcp_scanner-daemonYou should create a new pool for the virus scanner in job_controller.cnf so that problems with the virus scanner don't cause other channels which share SMTP_POOL to build up.
Also since you are sending to a single anti-virus system you should change "mx single_sys" to "nomx multiple".

    Shane.

  • Integrating Sun One 8 with 3rd party queue provider

    Hi,
I am trying to deploy a Message driven Bean based application on
"Sun System Java Application Server 8.1". The MDBs are configured to listen on queues which are hosted on a third party software "SeeBeyond SRE 5.0.4 ".
We already have a working environment on sun one 7.0.0._3b.
    Doing following things on 8.1:
    1. Creating a queue on "SeeBeyond SRE 5.0.4".
    2. Binding the queue on a LDAP server
    3. Creating a "remote-jndi-resource" on "Sun System Java Application Server 8.1" so that it looks-up in the LDAP and binds to the physical queue on Seebeyond
    4. Creating an MDB application which listens to the above created queue and deploys it on the Application server.
The error message while we deploy the application/boot the server, is

    Hi,
I am trying to deploy a Message driven Bean based application on
"Sun System Java Application Server 8.1".

  • Sun One tomcat configuration?????

    Hi everyone!
After installing the Sun One CE4 with Tomcat 4.0 and properly mounting a CD Shopcart tutorial webapp I receive this error:
    Apache Tomcat/4.0.1 - HTTP Status 404 - /CDShopCart/ProductList.jsp
    type Status report
    message /CDShopCart/ProductList.jsp
description The requested resource (/CDShopCart/ProductList.jsp) is not available.
Is it the server.xml or web.xml file that needs to be updated????
My class path appears to be fine...
One other thing is that when I utilize the execute (force reload) button on sun one the netscape browser url reflects only a 1 in the address bar
    Thanks for any help!!!!!!!!
    eric

In your TOMCAT_HOME directory, lookfor the directory webapps. Inside webapps copy or paste the .war file.
    START TOMCAT
Then access the web app by typing:
    http://localhost:portnumber/webappname/<jspfile>
    Hope that helps.

  • A web server in front of Sun One App 8

Hi all, I'm trying to port a web site with jsp and servlet and j2ee applications(JMS) from tomcat&Apache to Sun one application server 8. In my old setup, Aapche acts as a front line where static images are served there, php pages and cgi stuff where tomcat is for jsp and servlets.
So when i try to port it to sun one 8, i got a couple of problems. Sun one 8 doesnt support cgi and php, so i need a web server in front. So i'm thinking either apache or sun web server in front and funnel jsp/servlet to sun one 8. But i dont know how to integrate such setup. With apache and tomcat, theres this JK2/coyote sitting on port 8009. How do i setup a web server (maybe apache or sun one web) with sun one 8?
    Kien

I'm looking to do the same. Has anyone done this. I'd prefer apache but willing to look at any solution.

I already deploy successfully to Tomcat 5 and (of course) PE 8. The common denominator with the same problem on OC4J is that both servers are j2ee 1.3 (even if Sun One runs with JVM 1.4).
I copy the jstl 1.0 jars to some directory and enter such directory in the classpath suffix of JVM.
    Do Im missing something?
    TIA

    Hello,
    Try the following:
After deploying the WAR file, by hand, add a sun-web.xml file to
the deployed path in WEB-INF and make sure classloader delegate is set to false.
    <class-loader delegate="false"/>
Now the bundled libs will be considered first.
(After building the project, see a sample sun-web.xml
in the build/WEB-INF folder - change Project view to Filesystem
view, by right-click on the Project top-level node in the Project

You may need to include JSF jars in the WAR file by
modifying the JSF Support library reference (mounted
by default in the Project Navigator) by enabling all
    libraries for deployment)

  • Sun One on Windows Home Version?

I have a small web site that uses Sun One for ASP. I would like to duplicate the environment so I can test my pages before uploading.
However I just have Windows Home version. I was hoping to install Apache and Sun One. Anyone know if this is possible? Can I get a single user developer version?
The download for Sun One mentions the Apache version is only a 30 day trial.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Problem with starting Sun ONE Server after changing Java version

    Hi
I installed Sun ONE Java Server 6.1 SP6 on Redhat Enterprise 4.0 64bit. This version uses java version "1.4.2_04" which is intalled in /opt/SUNWwbsvr/bin/https/jdk. With this configuration everything works ok. When I changed Java (/usr/java/jdk1.5.0_09) on version "1.5.0_09 (in server.xml) Sun One doesn't start. I have such error:
CORE3170: Configuration initialization failed: Error running init function load-modules: dlopen of /opt/SUNWwbsvr/bin/https/lib/libj2eeplugin.so failed (libjvm.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)
I checked file libjvm.so and it is in locations: /opt/SUNWwbsvr/bin/https/lib/ and /usr/java/jdk1.5.0_09/jre/lib/amd64/server.
Does anybody know what is wrong ???
