You can convert XML to abap using transformations. Simple transformations is a proprietary SAP programming language that describes the transformation of ABAP data to XML (serialization) and from XML to ABAP data (deserialization).
goto SE80->workbench->edit object(or other objects)->in object selection chose more tab and then choose the transformation radio button and write a name and click create new.
Here you enter your transformation like

You can use this transfomation in your program using call transformation. You can find more info on call transformation in help.

How to Import XML file into SAP B1

I have a scenario like,
I am receiving a XML file from a 3rd party application for the daily Creation,Update of Item Master,BP Master, Marketing Documents. I want to import this file into SAP B1 through its approp objects. I understand DTW has limitation in its file types (Semicolo,Tab,Comma,ODBC). How do i do this ? Please guide me.

I´m frim Brasil and I've been studying the tool EFM (Eletronic File Manager) to learn more about it!
There I saw that we can extract to XML "any" infomation from the database we want, mainly through the GEP.
However, as I've seen, this Add-On can not import any XML file into SBO, unless for the BFP wich can be imported in conjunction with the BTHF Add-on.
So I ask: how is it possible to import XML data into SBO database? Is it possible to be done through the EFM? or it´s really necessary to write a code specifically to do that?
Besides, I know that de B1iSN fit to this necessity... but when I tried to use it, by the custom "object" for BP, for example, there are some data wich the mapping conteined in this custom "process" that can not be imported... I tried to understand how to map those other fields not imported by the custom but this has been dificult to me as I am a implementation consultant focused in administrative process not on development...
Could you please help me with this subject!

Read XML file into databased using stored procedure

I need to read an xml file into my database using a stored procedure. I looked at a couple of tutorials, but I am kind of lost and am looking for some guidance. I will eventually need to only pull a handfull of the data in based on the USER ID. Any help will be greatly appreciated. that passes xml file and puts in table but SAP Mii have the limitation that the maximun value of strings is 4000..how can i pass this limitation?!?! someone have some ideia?!?!...i have now to read XML file to stored procedure...could someone help me??

Reading XML file into Dynamic Node and Display its output as Table.

I'm able to read the output through DOM parser. But How do I convert this into dynamic node and display this in Web dynpro as Table?

Unable to Read XML files into PI 7.0

Dear Friends,
I am working on File to IDOC and IDoc to File scenario with a shared folder concept.
we have tested all our transactions to and fro with out any problem. Two days back we faced sudden server shut down due to power issue.
From that day we are facing problem in reading files into XI
We are not facing any problem during outbound transactions from SAP on the same business system, where inbound folder path is also mentioned.
I have checked in Monitoring under communication channel..
it is showing comm channal is correctly configured...
is there any way i can check where it is going wrong..
Any thoughts and suggestions is highly rewarded.

Read XML file into memory

Please forgive my ignorance, but I have a stupid question. Ths might not even be the correct forum.
My environment is Tomcat 4.1, Oracle, Win/Solaris.
I am coding a MVC application in JSP/Servlets. No standard framework is used.
I have a need in one of my beans to read in some information from an xml file. Since this object is created when a search is run, it seems inefficient to read this xml document every time an instance of the object is created.
I would like to declare this info static so that it could be used by all the instances of this object, however, I would also like this info to be updated/refreshed if I drop in a new instance of the xml file. How
could I implement this refresh of the info?
The info in this file is strictly read only so I would think that I would not have to have this info synchronized. (one instance would not change the information while the other was accessing)
Any suggestions? Can you point me to a resource for more information?

How to Import file into sap directory.

Hi all,
I need to import a .XML file into SAP-BW directory from my local pc.
By tcod AL11 I can only display all the directories, but I cannot import/upload this file.
How I Can create my own directory e.g /usr/sap/tmp123
Help me please.

Hi Kaustubh,
Use the FM ARCHIVFILE_CLIENT_TO_SERVER.
Give Filename + path for both the source and destination and your file will get transferred to the specified directory in AL11.
But I am not sure about creating your own directory in AL11.
