Record Indicator

I have created a Form on a table with report.
Now I want to create a record indicator in my report.
(so I know the report line I'm working in, in my form)
Thanks, regards Robbert

I assume that you have the Form and Report all on the same page.
If so you will have an item (e.g. :p1_record_id) on the page that is populated with the id of the record you are editing. Use that in a DECODE in your report query to display a flag for the row currently being edited e.g.
SELECT
  DECODE(empno,:p1_record_id, 'Flag') x,
  ename,
  job
FROM
  empShunt

  • Restrict the detail record based on the record indicator

Hi, i have a master detail form
when i query the form at header block it shows all the headers say
    header block
    header, line num, desc
    1, 1, pen
    1 ,2, rubber
    1 ,3, sketchpen
    line block
    line num, sub item ,cost
    1 ,1.1, 50
    1 ,1.2, 60
    2 ,2.1, 70
    2, 2.2, 5
it shows the output in this way
i want to restrict the line level block (say if my cursor is at record indicating row 1 in header) then in line level it should show
lines pertaining to line num 1 and header 1 --eg pen records
if my cursor is at line num 2 in header block, in line level block it should show only line num 2 details ie rubber details, how can i restrict this.
    Thanks,

Define the relation between header and detail
    join condition : header.line_num = detail.line_num
    delete record behaviour : non-isolated
    prevent masterless operations : Yes
after this if you navigate, the detail records will automatically gets queried accordingly.

  • Duplicate Data Records indicator / the handle duplicate records

    Hi All,
I am getting double data in two request. How can I delete extra data using "Duplicate Data Records indicator ".
I am not able to see this option in PSA as well as DTP for "the handle duplicate records".
can u help me to find the option in PSA/DTP.
    Regards
    Amit Srivastava

    What Arvind said is correct.
But if you can try this out in an End Routine, this may work, Not sure though.
Because then you will be dealing with the entire result_package.
Also, say if the target that you are talking about is a DSO, then you can Delete Adjacant Duplicates in Start Routine while updating it into your next target. That can be a cube, for ex.

  • Recording voice-over:  Can I move or hide the recording indicator?

I'm making podcasts of presentations I use when teaching my biochemistry course.  It seems to work well, but unfortunatley I cannot figure out how to get rid of the recording indicator in the top left of the projected image.  It sits on top of my slide content, and sometimes obscures it from the audience.  At the very least, it is a distraction, and once the level for recording is set, I don't need it for anything.
How can I get rid of it?

Yes, I've proven it is a bug with external sound cards/mixers. I switched to the internal audio on my MacBook Pro and the meter worked fine. I did report it, but who knows if or when it'll be corrected. Perhaps they have an issue with external devices that self-regulate the audio levels?

  • Batch Record Indicator

    Dear SAP Guru,
    Good day to you.
I would like to know the path or where in Customizing should i set the batch record indicator as indicated below.
We are currently dealing withn a scenario wherein we could not archive via COEBR the batch and the Material we created even though the batch usage decision has been completed and we found the note below.
"In future, use an order type for which the Batch record required indicator has been set in Customizing. The system then sets the BRRQ (Batch record required) status in the order and the corresponding inspection lot when you release the order."
I would greatly appreciate your reply.
    Thanks,
    JMTafalla

Are you talking about Batch where used list?
When compiling the batch where-used file, the system generates the receipt and issue records required for the batch where-used list for the material document items. Are you talking about these records?
If yes, maintain it in transaction OCHA, -> make settings for batch where used list.

  • Locked Records Indicator

    Hi,
    Here is the scenario:
We have several users (in AutoCAD) that retrieve, delete, modify, and post data back to Oracle Spatial DB (10g).
During data retrieval, we use the SDO_WITHIN_DISTANCE operator based from either a Road Name or Building Name with a flexible buffer distance. Now, the chances of the users having retrieved the same records are very high.
My query is, is there an indicator in the row level that will show that the particular record has already been locked/retrieved by another user? I have read about the "SELECT .... FOR UPDATE" system of locking records, but the problem would be the possibilities of having a "Lockout" or a "Deadlock". That is why, we would like to handle the records firsthand before displaying it into AutoCAD.
Knowing this, we can provide some mechanism in AutoCAD to avoid the record to be modified or deleted by another user (i.e. giving a read-only attribute, changing layer or color, etc. etc.).
Thank you very much for your ideas.
    Regards,
    Arnold Higuit

Depending on your requirements, you may want to do the initial query without trying to lock the records (if you do the select ... for update nowait on the initial query and there are records locked, it will fail).
After you do your initial query, then you can try to select individual records by a unique key for update (using nowait), and any record that is already locked can be styled in an appropriate way.
Note this will be significantly slower (selecting each individual record).

  • Current Record Indicator

I have a multi-record block, where all the items, except for one, are based on the database. That non-database item is a current record visual indicator (a display item). I would like this item (only) to change the colour (ex. to blue) just for the record that is being currently selected. When user leaves the record, it should return to the original (white) colour. I have created a visual attribute group, and based a block's current record visual attribute group on it. However, it has affected all the columns of the block, and not just the indicator. Can anybody help me please, on how I can do that?
    Thanks a lot to everyone!
    Eugene.

This is how current record visual attribute works.
If you want to highlight just one item, you'll have to do it manually with the display_item built-in and the when-new-record trigger.
I think you will be better off just droping the display item and using the default behavior of the current record visual attribute.

  • Duplicate records found while loading master data(very urgent)

    Hi all,
One infopackage in the process chain failed while laoding the master data(full update). Its showing the following error-->duplicate record found ..1 record used in /BI0/PTCTQUERY and the same record occured in /BI0/PTCTQUERY tables.
can anyone give me the solution...its very urgent...
    Thanks & Regards,
    Manjula

    Hi
You can see the check box in the Processing tab page. Make a tick mark for the check box Ignore Duplicate Data Records indicator . When multiple data records that have the same key are transferred, the last data record in the request is updated to BI. Any other data records in the request with the same key are ignored.
    Help says that:
To maintain consistency, ignoring duplicate data records is only possible if the data is updated serially. A serial update is when data is first updated into the PSA then, after it has been successfully written to the PSA, it is updated into the master data or text tables of the InfoObject.
If a DataSource transfers potentially duplicate data records or if you manually set the Ignore Duplicate Data Records indicator, the PSA Only update type is automatically selected in the scheduler.
hope it clears ur doubt, otherwise let me know.
    Regards
    Kiran

  • Issue in generating space at end of the records.

    Hi All,
i am working on a outbound flat file interface.i
have  a issue in generating the spaces at end of each
        record.
        for ex.,
My record in the file should contain 80 chars each
line, in which it will contain values till 74
characters and the rest 6 chars should have a blank
        space.
we were able to generate space in the file using
        class "CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES".
But this text file when converted to HEX file, the
        end of the record has values as 20 20 20 20 C2 A0 or
some junk values. But as per the requirement the HEX
file should display the end of the record as 20 20 20
        20 20 20.
Please let me know how i should generate spaces in
the text file and at the same time proper Records in
HEX file(i.e., 20(value for space in HEX)).
       Thanks in advance.
       Nanda

    hi,
empty space at the end of the record will be ignored if you download the file.
So use an END OF RECORD character like ',' or '.' or some other symbol & give you 6 or 7 characters blank space at the end, will work for you.
now you will able to see total 80 characters(may be with spaces) & 81st will your END OF RECORD indicator.
YOur legacy system will take only first 80 characters not the total records (in this case 81)

  • CRM 2011: when auditing is turned off, why do existing Audit records lose "New Value"?

Not sure if this is by design (if so, would love to know why!) or if this is a bug.  Let's say I have auditing turned on for Accounts.  I change the phone number in the Main Phone field from 555-1111 to 555-5555, and an audit record is
created showing the Old Value (555-1111) and New Value (555-5555).  Great.  Now I turn off auditing. The system goes back to the audit record that had previously been created, and modifies it so that it shows the Old Value (555-1111),
and inserts an icon into the New Value field indicating auditing was turned off.  The tool tip for that icon states "Auditing was stopped and restarted.  The new values for the fields that changed during this period cannot be identified or recorded."
First of all (minor picky issue) auditing hasn't been turned back on yet, despite what the tool tip says (says the same thing whether or not auditing is turned back on).  But the real problem is
why the existing audit record's New Value would be removed... why would that happen?!?  We're talking about a historical update.  It really did change, and the system knew what it changed from/to, so why would the system remove that new value
from the audit record?  Logically I would expect that any changes made
while auditing is off would not be logged, and that once auditing is turned back on, Old/New values would correspond to whatever was/is in the system at the time that any new audit record is created, so there may be a disconnect between an older audit
record and a new one (old record's New Value not matching the new record's Old Value, because changes were made while auditing was off). And it's quite apparent when auditing is turned off, because an audit record is created stating "Auditing Disabled".
Any ideas if there's a logical reason why it would do this, or if this is really a bug that Microsoft needs to fix?  We have a client with a business need to periodically turn off auditing while integration updates run between CRM and another system
(otherwise hundreds of thousands of unnecessary audit records would be created).  But if they're going to lose audit data every time they disable auditing, the auditing is worthless.

We wouldn't ever temporarily turn auditing off on purpose... it's happening when we import managed solutions.  We have vendors with managed solutions that contain system entities such as Contacts.  When importing their solution, it momentarily
turns auditing off on those entities.  The only evidence of this is audit records indicating "Entity Audit Stopped", and of course the loss of all the most  recent "new value" on all audit records.  The interesting (?) parts of this are:
    1. When importing the managed solution, the recommended option to keep all existing customizations is selected.  I would think this would include the audit settings on the entity, but apparently not (sort of... see #2).
    2. As soon as the managed solution is imported, in addition to creating an "Entity Audit Stopped" audit record on relevant entities and wiping out new values, it apparently turns auditing back on, yet there's no record of this (in customizations, the entity
still (or once again) indicates auditing is enabled; but on records for that entity, there is no "Entity Audit Enabled" record.
So, now it's on to working with the vendors, to dig into their managed solutions and see if there's a way to prevent this!

  • LSMW - LF as record separator

    Hi,
I want to use LSMW to upload longtexts to SAP. Source file is an excel spreadsheet with two columns containing the material no and the longtext. If the longtext contains more lines each line is separated by an LF (word wrap within cell in excel)!
If I now save the excel file as TXT file and upload it in LSMW each CRLF and LF is recognized as "end of record indicator", but I only want CRLF as "end of record indicator"!?
Can I prevent LSMW from handling each LF as "end of record indicator"?
    Thanks & Regards

  • Imported Form and sub-form from another database. Sub-form not creating new records tied to parent form's data.

I have imported all objects from an old access db (.adp file) into a new db (.accdb).  All of my data lives in sql server so I have added all the tables and views to the .accdb as linked tables.  My forms all connect to data, but I am having issues
with a sub form.  The sub form does not allow for creation of children records tied to the parent record the way the old db did/does.
Correct - old format .adp file (notice the empty second record in sub-form with the defaulted date of today's date):
Incorrect - new .accdb file (notice the lack of empty second record in sub-form like above):
If I click the create new record icon in the bottom of the subform, it creates a completely blank record not tied to the parent record (fields blacked out in screen shots above).  When using this button all parent record fields are blank.
I have also verified the child table used in the sub-form has a valid Fky relationship to parent table used in the parent form.

Have you checked each forms 'Filter' property (in Design view) to make sure they are blank and that each forms 'Filter On Load' property to make sure it is set to 'No'? Also, you might try inserting the following commands in each forms On
    Open event:
    DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdRemoveAllFilters
    DoCmd.ShowAllRecords
If you can open each forms Record Source and they are showing that new records are able to be entered (the new record * is showing at the bottom of the recordset), then check each forms On Load and On Open events to make sure there is no filtering.
In addition, check any macro or VBA commands behind the button that opens the main form to make sure there is no SQL filtering in the DoCmd.OpenForm command.
If one of the forms Record Source does NOT allow new records, then you will need to change that Record Source so the new record * indicator shows.
Out of ideas at this point.

  • Filter records with month and date

    Hi,
i have records as follows in the table.
    custno trn_dt amount
    1 01-jan-06 100
    1 10-jan-06 200 --->
    1 15-feb-06 300
    2 15-dec-06 111
    2 15-jan-06 222 --->
    2 01-fen-06 333
If i specify the runtime parameter as JAN-06 the output of the report should be with 2 records indicated with arrows above.
the query should pick up the record with the highest date for a specific customer.
in the above example for customer "1" 10-jan-06 is highest date and for customer "2" 15-jan-06 is the highest date.
    hope the requirement is clear.
    thanks in advance

    SELECT custno, trn_dt, amount
    FROM TABLE
    WHERE (custno,trn_dt) IN
    (SELECT custno, MAX(trn_dt)
    FROM TABLE
    GROUP BY custno)
There are many examples on this in SQL and PL/SQL forum.

  • Manual Recording Errors & Bugs

Last night.  FOX (508)  Daytona 500 NASCAR Race.
"House" as a series was scheduled to record.
All attempts to create a manual recording for any timeframe on CH 508 was met with errors, from, one telling me there was a recording already scheduled for that channel (although there was only one, and it was from 8-to-9 PM), another telling me the start time had already passed (the time was 8:02, and the manual start time was 8:59.
At times, the scheduled HOUSE did not show up on the DVR->View Schedule>, yet at all times the red record indicator showed up on the GUIDE.
Bottom line - once I started trying, I got only errors UNTIL I STOPPED, then DELETED the House recording.  I ended up having to use the guide and press RECORD on each guide listing until midnight.  (and then the Simpson's time slot, and my recordings, ended 15 laps before the finish!!!!!!!!!)

Manual recording from the web is currently not possible.  Only guide scheduled recordings.

you first create the info record and subsequently you load the conditions.
become familiar with the condition tables and its key first. Check How table A017 and A018 are maintained.
Intresting is the field VAKEY which is actually the link to your info record.
This is a combination of vendor, material, purchasing org, plant , and info record indicator.
