Redirect users to another AnyConnect server

We are finishing up an AnyConnect user pilot test on an ASA that we use specifically for testing.  I now have an ASA VPN load balancing cluster configured for production use.  However, there are still some pilot users that have the pilot profiles so they are connecting to the test ASA.
Is there any way to configure the test ASA so that users will be redirected to the production ASA cluster? If so, can you specify the profile to use?
We're in the process of pushing out the production AnyConnect profiles to the users but I'm just wondering if there's a way we can speed things up by having the test ASA redirect connections.
Thanks.

BTW, we are using ASA 8.4(4.1) currently. Thanks.

  • How to redirect users to another address

    Hi
    Thank you for reading my post
    I have a problem that i do not know how to resolve.
    we had an application in an address like :
    http://www.myweb.com/web2/ it is a dynamic application written in java .
    now we move it to another server like : http://10.10.a.b/web2/
    we need all people that come to the first address to be redirected to new address with the complete url for example if some one come to http://www.myweb.com/web2/register.jsp
    we should be able to redirect him/her to http://10.10.a.b:8888/web2/register.jsp
    what should i do now ? is there any way that i can do this ?
    i am allowed to deploy a java web application to first address to do this , i mean i can deploy some java web application to http://www.myweb.com/web2/ to make this redirection possible.
    does any one hav an idea ?
    thanks

    Certainly sounds possible.
    Put in a servlet filter that will intercept all requests.
    You would use response.sendRedirect to send the redirect.
    However what you would lose in this redirect is any request variables. You would have to include them as get parameters in the redirect URL which
    - may not be secure
    - may not work if there are too many request parameters.

  • How do I copy User Properties from one user to another using Server API

    Portal Version is 10GR3
    I have two Users in the portal and I want to copy all the properties of user1 to user2.
    the IPTProfileManager interface allows me to get all the properties of user 1. Accomplished through the use of
    IPTObjectProperties user1Props = profileManager.GetUserProperties(userId, false);
    IPTQueryResult qr = user1Props.GetPropertyData(PT_PROPIDS.PT_PROPID_OBJECTID |
                   PT_PROPIDS.PT_PROPID_NAME |
                   PT_PROPIDS.PT_PROPID_PROP_VALUE);
    I beleive this is correct...
    We now have all the properties in a Query Result. I'm lost as to how to get these values into user2's profile...
    -Or- is there a easier way????
    Any suggestions?
    Phil Orion
    Orion like the constellation, not the Irish guy.

    Every object in the Server API extends the PTObject, which has function calls GetObjectProperties().
    If you have the PTUser object you have to do the following:
    IPTObjectProperties props = getObjectProperties(); // in your case this should be something like PTUser.GetObjectProperties();
    Object[][] propData = new Object[PT_EDIT_PROPDATA_COLUMNS.PT_EDIT_PROPDATA_INVALID][1];
    propData[PT_EDIT_PROPDATA_COLUMNS.PT_EDIT_PROPDATA_PROPERTYID][0] = new Integer(#PropertyID#);
    propData[PT_EDIT_PROPDATA_COLUMNS.PT_EDIT_PROPDATA_VALUE][0] = "Property Value";
    props.SetPropertyData(propData);
    I don't forget on the end you have to call PTUser.Store() function

    I'm having trouble retrieving my backups and the phone is backing up when it's not connected to the charger...like it's just doing it on it's own or being controlled remotely. I'm wondering if it can be redirecteded to another cloud server. I recently located some weird coding with an IP address of a cloud server in Texas...by chance...on my computer. Just seems odd after having my iTunes account hacked into,

    I have had ALL OF YOUR PROBLEMS.  I have gone to the Apple flagship store in new york, and they said it was IMPOSSIBLE! For one of their phones to be hacked, i then asked if anyone in the store knew how to read a diagnostic log and the employee said they dont train them in that.  My home internet has also been hacked, And no one believes me.  Everyone passes the buck to everyone else.  I have even gone to the authorities and it os taking FOREVER for them to get back to me. I wish i had an answer but at least you know youre not insane.  Good luck!

    Can someone help me in this?

    Hi Jrv,
    As I said its an Add-in (Twuploader) in excel which uses a ini file to connect to a server. I want the addin to connect to another available server when the primary is not available. This is the ini file content below:
    [TradeWeb]
    Host=Server1
    Port=8002
    User=abcd
    [Upload]
    AutoMode=N
    UserInt=5

  • OID Realm Setup for Partner Application in another application server

    This message was also posted under the Identity Management thread.
    We currently have 10.1.2 SSO running and configured to accept a partner application from another app server (10.1.3). A sample application attempts to authenticate a user and then use JAZN to confirm whether the user is in the correct OID group. The user can authenticate successfully, which shows up in the SSO audit table, but the group check fails. I believe this is due to the realm not being visible to the other app server? How do I go about setting up the app server or application on the 10.1.3 platform to be able to check the 10.1.2 SSO server for the right OID group when the user authenticates? I have tried to set up the file-based permissions through the EM console, but seems to be only valid for the local setup. My thought was that the system-jazn-data.xml file would need to identify and point to the SSO server? When I troubleshoot that file, I see the correct realm entry and also the correct JAZN group and the OID GUID for the group. Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Leif

  • Multiple users logged into one server, each users printer has a different name, application needs ONE name to print to.

    Multiple users logged into one server, each users printer has a different name, application needs ONE name to print to.
    I'm NOT in any way a Terminal Services expert and I need help trying to get an application program working in a multi-user environment.
    The issue is that the printer changes for every user that is logged in. The application needs to print NOT to the default printer, but to a "special" printer which is selected in the application... let's call it a label printer to simplify the explanation.
    You have your default regular printer, easy for the application to find that one, and then you have a special printer that labels get printed onto. The application needs to know what printer is the label printer. So we allow the user to select that in the
    application and the selection is stored in a config file in
    C:\ProgramData\mfgr\prog\setting files
    I don't have access to the application so I can't change how this works.
    In the "regular" world, selecting the label printer driver to use should be per machine, NOT per user. When a new user logs into a machine, the physical printer doesn't go "poof" and a new printer suddenly appear. Same printer for all
    users.
    Yet in terminal services, the physical machine is "merged" with the virtual machine on the server. And there can be many users logged in at the same time. So each users real machine (and real printer) is injected into the "fake" terminal
    services machine. The name of the printers is made unique for each user. So the printers DO go "poof" and change names depending on the user logged into terminal services.
    So user "A" logs in and sets up the application to print to "LabelPrinterForUserA" (or whatever the name of the printer happens to be), that setting is stored in the ProgramData subfolder, and all is well. Later, user "B" logs
    in, and when they print, the application tries to print to "LabelPrinterForUserA" which doesn't exist for user B or is only accessible by user A. If user B re-configures, that breaks it for user A.
    SOLUTION 1: The way that /should/ work (in my mind) is that you define one "generic" printer in Terminal Services... call it "Virtual Label printer" and when the user wants to print to it, the print job gets re-directed back to whatever
    physical printer is actually connected to their local workstation. There is a map of virtual printer to actual printer depending on the current user. The application is told once to print to "Virtual Label Printer" for all users.
    SOLUTION 2: Or... there should be some way to make the ProgramData sub folders separate per user. E.g. when user "A" tries to access:
    C:\ProgramData\mfgr\prog\setting files
    they actually get
    C:\UserData\UserA\AppData\mfgr\prog\setting files
    and user "B" gets
    C:\UserData\UserB\AppData\mfgr\prog\setting files
    So the question I have is: Does either of those solutions exist hidden somewhere in the setup of terminal server? Or is there another way around this issue that I don't know?

    I don't really have a "for sure" answer to this, but because people here can't seem to deal with a question that hasn't been answered I'll provide the best answer I did receive from ServerFault.com user Nathan:
    I can feel your pain with using old software on terminal servers ...the solution I've come up with definitely won't scale as it requires some manual configuration, but I've gotten this method to work with our label printers (which require to be
    printed to an LPT port...yep, that old).
    Share your USB-connected printers to the network on each machine. Then, have the user log in on aunique session for each of them
    (a TS account cannot be shared among computers for this to work) and install a network printer pointing to the USB one they shared. Try to use a DNS name to account for possible DHCP movements.
    After, it should work. Each user can do this since display names can be identical as long as the ports are different (which they are).
    This was clarified by the following series of comments:
    I think you are on to something here, and I originally advised the admin to do this. The problem he ran into is that it setup the printer names in the TS as "printer on usersworkstation"
    and he could not rename it except to change the "printer" to whatever. E.g. the "on userworkstation" remained. I believe there is another way of installing the printer which avoids this, but I can't find it. Ages ago, one used to do NET

    @JamesNewton That's actually the exact method we used. The way around the "network printer" part is to install it as local printer and map it to a TCP/IP port that way. –  Nathan

    You mean in the case where the printers are TCP/IP connected and not local USB / LPT to the users workstation? That makes sense. Wonder if this will work for USB connected printers... –  James

    @JamesNewton You'd share the local printer on the client's PC then on the server connect via TCP/IP to it. You'd need static addresses or use DNS names if DHCP, though. –  Nathan

  • Not Using Index on File Server When Accessing User Files Directly on Server

    It appears to me that on a server with an indexed network share (Desktop Experience and Search Indexing roles/features installed), if you access the share directly on the server using its drive path, you can search the folders using the index, which
    is much faster and supports finding words inside of the files in seconds). However, if you access the same shared folder via its network path from the server itself, the server ignores the index. I have this experience/problem across all shared folders on
    the Windows 2012 R2 Server. Details and my most specific goal follows.
    In addition to a laptop, I frequently work directly on a Windows Server 2012 R2 computer. We have Redirected Folders set up on DFS (for failover redundancy) so that my Documents folder is in:
    \\network\redirections\user\documents. This all works fine on Windows 7 and 8 client computers connected to the network via Offline Files.
    The problem is on the server itself. The server has Desktop Experience enabled and Windows Search is installed. If I navigate manually through the DFS root folder to my documents folder, I can search and it properly uses the index. This proves the location
    is properly indexed. However, if I access the folders through the official "Documents" folder from the Folder Redirection (a network share pointing to the same server computer I'm working on), it performs an un-indexed search (slow and ignores file
    contents, but does find files eventually if the search term is in their filename). Is there a way to force the server to use the indexed search on the Redirected Folders (my Documents folder in particular) when working on that server when logged in locally
    on that server?
    I suspect a workaround would be to go into the Registry and manually change the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders to point to the local DFS folder instead of the network share name, but at least one problem
    with this is then if I save files with links to other files (e.g., a linked Excel table in a PowerPoint, a mail merge to Access database in Word, etc.) on the server computer, those links will point to d:\DFSroot\... (a physical drive on the computer) instead
    of \\network\redirections\user\... (a universally accessible network path) and so none of the other computers will be able to find the linked files, defeating one of the
    major benefits of using Redirected Folders.
    I can't believe that I need to choose between indexed searching and proper path names in saved files. Surely there is a way to use an indexed search on the server itself?
    If you need any more info to help me troubleshoot, please let me know.
    Thanks for any help,
    Colin

    Hi Colin,
    It seems that we can not use indexed search on DFS shares. Windows Search works well when users directly access the server. That is, the server is not made available through Distributed File System (DFS).

  • How to capture the user activities in Project Server 2010

    Hi
    I want  to capture the user activities from Project Server 2010 like when a user has saved and published etc.
    Is there any possibility that we can get the user activities data from sql server.
    Please throw some light on the same.
    Thanks
    Geeth If you feel that the answer which i gave you is Helpful please select it as Answer/helpful.

    Hi Geetha,
    As far as I know, there is no such information stored in Project Server DB.
    You can have this kind of information by project, such as the ProjectModifiedDate in the Reporting DB (MSP_EPMProject_userView). I also know that there is a PROJ_LAST_SAVED date in the Draft DB. But be aware that querying in the Draft DB is not supported
    by MS.
    Another way would be doing some custom code, storing in a separate DB each save and publish operation per user.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to redirect user on or before page load

    Hi,
    what is best practice for redirecting a user when he opens a specific page.
    I have a solution with a custom master page and several webparts. When a user opens my solution (every page based on the same master).
    What i need to do now is, when the user opens the page i have to check before rendering the page and the webparts some criteria. When the user is not allowed to open the page i need to redirect him to another location.
    How could q redirect a user in a sharepoint solution?
    I thought about some ways:
    - develop a webpart (without any rendering) and put in onprerender event the check and the redirect
    - create a codebehind for the masterpage
    - create an httpmodule
    What would you prefer? How could i solve it?

    Hi,
    In SharePoint on-premises, I suggest you use HttpModule and HttpHandler to achieve it.
    http://sharepointgotchas.wordpress.com/tag/httpmodule/
    http://zoomsharepoint.blogspot.com/2009/09/redirect-page-using-http-module.html
    In SharePoint online, JavaScript is a better choice, we can add some JavaScript code in the master page.

  • Move mailbox from one user to another?

    Greets -
    Running Mail on OS X Server 10.5.8, and I'm trying to move a folder from one user to another. I thought this would do it:
    cp -pPR /var/spool/imap/user/user1/folder /var/spool/imap/user/user2
    It does copy, of course, and appears to have the same ownership and permissions as the other folders, but it doesn't show up. Is there some other kind of blessing required, or probably a better way to copy it than that cp command? Forgive me essentially weak unix skills....
    Many thanks,
    z

    you need to set the cyrus acl, using cyradm or easier is with SirAdmin
    -or take the simple route-
    setup your mail program with both imap accounts and drag the folder from one account to the other.

  • Can dot1x authetication relayed by ACSv4.2 to another RADIUS Server ?

    Dear all,
    I'm doing dot1x authentication with ACSv4.2 , my goal is the dot1x authentication request (EAP-MD5) is relayed to another RADIUS Server by ACSv4.2.
    I'd configured the ACS to use External Database with Radius Token Server, but it did not work. With the same configuration , the login authentication is relayed correctly.
    Can dot1x authetication relayed by ACSv4.2 to another RADIUS Server ?
    Jerry

    I think it is possible because Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP), provides the ability to deploy RADIUS into Ethernet network environments. The 802.1x standard, also known as EAP over LAN (EAPoL), concerns the part of the wider EAP standard that relates to broadcast media networks. Upon connection, EAPoL provides a communications channel between an end user on a client LAN device to the AAA server through the LAN switch. The functionality is similar to what Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) servers on point-to-point links provide.

  • Non Domain User Access to Report Server

    HI Team,
    I am Back with another question. These days i am working on SSRS web services as a part of that i need to provide user access to non domain users to the report manager which is residing in a virtual machine and also when i use the report service web service
    URL it is asking for virtual machine's windows credentials and as per my client's requirement i should not be prompted with VM'S windows credentials.
    Also, we are providing end users with a login page and this login page is connected to a separate User's database  in the VM and how to register these non domain users in the report server database
    and also reort manager. please help me out of this issue.
    Thank you.

    Hi NB515,
    In Reporting Services, if we connect to Report Manager out of domain, then we need provide a domain username and password can we access to it. If you want to skip this step, you can configure anonymous access for the report server. However,anonymous access
    is not recommended as it may give direct access to your report server or report projects to any one who know the URL of your Reporting Services. But in case you still want to try it, you can refer to the link below to see it:
    http://blog.quasarinc.com/ssrs/sql-server-reporting-services-2012-anonymous-access/
