Refer to the 'key' in a LOV

Hi All
how do i refer to the 'key' in a LOV (key - value)?
for example: my LOV is : 1;one,2;two,3;three.
:PX_ITEM will return the 'value' (one, two, three). how do i refer to (1, 2, 3) ?

Yes - I'm assuming that the data is available from a table. As I don't know your tables, I've used "descriptionfieldname", "idfieldname" and "table" - replace these to return the name of the field that contains the description you want in the column heading, the name of the field that contains the LOV key ID and the name of the table that contains the LOV data.
I don't know why apex_item.text_from_lov doesn't work from with the header definition (it could be because this is normally used to create the tabular form?) - hence suggesting that you retrieve the text you need using a normal select statement.

After opening the site, please select the Source Release Version which is 4.6 b Then Select the Target Release Version which is "mySAP ERP 2005" or ECC 6.0
Select the Solution Area like Financials, Human Capital Management, Sales....
Select module like MM, PP, SD, and QM.....
Click on Search
then it displays the Release Version and the Delta Functionality. Which can be downloaded to a word document if required.
And also check the release notes of ECC 6.0 in service.sap.com.
When you are upgrading from 4.6C to ECC6
Nothing major, follow the same process you'd follow if you were updating PI service packs in R/3 or enhancing data sources. Empty queues in RSA7 and lbwq. Also empty setup tables through lbwg as the upgrade doesn't like it if these tables contain data. This is all on the R/3 side (although you empty RSA7 by running each delta TWICE in BW).
To transfer queues from lbwq to rsa7, execute jobs through LO cockpit (lbwe).
Some of your data sources could also be using sm13 instead of lbwq, so do check it out as well.
For installing ECC 6.0 you required a solution manager key. With out solution manager key you cannot install ECC6.0.
For ECC 6.0 is called net weaver component here you have ABAP+JAVA stack.
ECC6.0 supports UNCODE.
For installing 4.6 you don't require solution manager key. It only having ABAP stack.
4.6C supports NONUNICODE.
Major difference is ECC6 is netwear product having WASJAVA+ABAP

Ran Belarc on a computer, reimaged it, now Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard isn't working with the key from Belarc. Any ideas?

Ran Belarc on two older computers and reimaged them or a client. After setting them up and finding an Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard disk I put the program back on both machines, however when I put in the serial number (which was the same for both machines according to Belarc) Acrobat said that the serial numbers were incorrect. Unsure of what the issue is here. Any help is appreciated.

Please make sure you are using the right serial number for the right installer.
Acrobat 9 Std serial key will not work for Acrobat 9 Pro software.

The keys on my laptop are smeared and ugly.. how did this happen??

I love my laptop HP G60-243CL Notebook PC .. and do not want to give it up, even to get the keys replaced.
I have been an HP client since my first desktop computer in 1995, but am very disappointed that the keys are smeared, almost impossible to type.. if I did not already know which key is which I would not be able to type much of a comprehensible sentence.
I am wondering why (within 1 month) the keys were smeared and ugly, also is there a possible way to get new keys that would not look the same in a few months.. my laptop is just about 1 1/2 years new at this time in it's life.

Hello and sorry about your keys, it is possible that it may be some kind of hand lotion that is causing this effect.. Reconciliation and the Key Column for Oracle DB

I have a oracle DB with the key column called employee number (ie. 12345)
In the form for my reconciliation, I assigned the employee number to an extended attribute called employeeId as below. This field is defined in the User Extended Attributes object already.

When I view a user in the debug page, I don't see the employeeId being populated. Do you know why?

Yes, I'm able to populate other fields fine. Right now I just populated the 7 fields within IDM. The problem is the employee number is the key column in the schema and with ActiveSync, it works fine right now using ActiveSync.identity so I tried the same thing for reconciliation but it does not seem to work.
I could try to map the employee number in the schema but i want to try to figure out other ways first.

What's the key next to the left arrow for on a 12 inch PowerBook G4?

Hi,
Can anyone explain what the key between the right hand Command key & the left hand arrow key is for? (I mean the one that looks like a K that has fallen over forwards - the same symbol is on the Carriage Return key.)
As a relative newbie to the Mac, I'm surprised that there seems to be no overview of the keyboard anywhere in mauals or on-line?!? Can anyone please put me straight on this?

Thanks for the references - especially the technical document, which is the first time I have seen a Mac keyboard illustrated & explained. It seems a little bizarre to me that nothing like this is included in the getting started guide (especially to encourage switching). It's interesting that the illustration uses the words Enter & Return & doesn't refer to the symbols one finds on the (PowerBook) keyboard itself.
I had found the keyboard shortcut document before & now I know which keys are being described, I can use this
I had also tried the keyboard viewer application, but it doesn't seem to provide any on-screen clues about the key being pressed - again, it seems to assume that you know the key's basic job & are only interested in its new usage. I will also be able to use this now.

Regarding the KEY DATE OF PRODUCTION VERSION

Dear Guru's
Client facing a issue like :
They have master recipe which was created on say example: 01.01.2001 and they had changed "activity type" activity time" later on date for particular Production version P001. & obviously Production version Valid from date is on 01.01.2001.
But if he check the key date of particular version(P001), it shows the same date as 01.01.2001 & it will show only the recipe which was created on 01.01.2001.
It is not showing any other changes which we did after 01.01.2001
While transferring to APO, system is picking the Production version (P001) based on the key date 01.01.2001 & they are not getting the changes in that recipe while creating the order
How can we resolve this issue Plz help.

But when I createa new formular variable, I have lots of options for varaibles.
So, in the formula screen.
Formula variables->New Formula variable - > Edit
Then
Processing by ->Replacement path ->ref characteristic date
Then, on the replacement path tab:
Replace variable with ->variable.
Click on the box to search available variables to replace, and I have lots of options e.g.
Current fiscal year (single value entry, mandatory)
Approver
Base budget
etc.
but not "key date of the query". It is not there?
Any more help gratefully appreciated.

Hi kids, my first day using apple, anyway, is a Power Book 4.1 , bought from someone else,and i dont have the password for the key chain, and no chances of getting it, the screen, for the password keeps on coming up, any ideas?

Hi, Lisa. Now I see what you're desperate about.
Does it allow you to go ahead and use the iBook after you cancel the Keychain login? If so, it's not a big deal.
Are you able to go to System Preferences > Accounts and create a new account for yourself? That should eliminate Keychain password problems.

Maybe they will help you get it seated better. It's considered a customer-installable part, so it should be easy enough for you to handle without worrying about goofing anything up.
What CDs (if any) came with the iBook?
Which version of the operating system is it running?
How big is the hard drive and how much space remains available on it? If it's the original hard drive, it's getting very old and could fail at any time. The identifier "PowerBook 4,1" tells me that the iBook is ten years old, and is either a 500 or 600 MHz PowerPC G3 (Dual USB) iBook. As such, you can't expect a whole lot from it.
The optical drive on this iBook could be a CD-ROM (reads CDs only), CD-RW (reads and writes CDs; no DVD capability), DVD (reads CDs and DVDs), or Combo (reads and writes CDs; reads DVDs) drive.

Storing encrypted username and password along with the Key into Windows Keystore

I have a WPf application and I need to allow the user to enter the username and password. Username and Password should be encrypted and store them with the key into the windows Keystore. I used the Cryptography class to encrypt the username and password but
I am not sure how to store them in the Windows Key Store.
This login is used for configuration purpose only. User enters and it is saved into the clients machine. As long these credentials are correct, we are going to allow this machine to call another API to download files.
I would really appreciate for any sample code. Basically, I need to store them in the registry and be able to call them to verify.

Swap the key focus at Array element

Attached is a quick example showing the basic method needed for a table.
An array is more complex, because to refer to a specific array element, you first have to resize the number of visible elements to 1, then use the Array Element>Reference and cast that reference to a cluster, and set the key focus to the right element of the cluster and then resize the array back to its display size. To avoid having the user see this, you need to use the Defer Panel Updates property, and this might cause the control to lose the focus, I'm not sure.
A side note is that using Value property nodes is not a good way of doing things. A local is usually better and using real data flow is even better.

Hello Mudassar,
In SQL Server / T-SQL we don't have a native JSON support, so you would have to implement a solution on your own = parsing the string and remove the "Key" + it's value.

When I try to zoom the text of an e-mail I received or sent , I can no longer use the keys Command + to enlarge the text, although I can reduce it with Command -.
As I have a problem with my eyes, This is a serious matter for me.
When I write an e-mail, if I select text and press Command +, it just displaces the text to the right.
Now, my husband has a USB keyboard. If he connects it to my computer, his regular Command + does not work either, but he uses the extended keyboard, then it works. Unfortunately, he needs it for a musical application which does not work with a wireless keyboard.

Firefox 3.6.4 and 3.6.6 use a process called, "plugin-container.exe" which was using up most of my CPU when I opened up multiple tabs that contained Adobe Flash files, and caused Firefox to lock up.
My solution was to use Firefox 3.5.10 which you can get from the Mozilla website at [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html]
I am using Adobe Flash 10.1.53.64 without any problem in this version of Firefox. Check the release notes, I believe it contains all the latest security fixes in "Firefox 3.6.4".
Hopefully, they will fix Firefox 3.6 in the next version (e.g. Firefox 3.6.7), until then you should probably use "Firefox 3.5.10".
