Reg: Exporting the data into excel in ADF 11g application.
Hi All,
We have developed an application in ADF 11g which retrieves the data from database in the form of table. Now we have a requirement to export that data into an excel sheet.
Can anyone please help us regarding this.
Thanks,
Harsha
Hi Harsha,
you can use <af:exportCollectionActionListener /> component to do that. Set the exportedId property to point to of the table. You have options to export all rows or only selected rows.
<af:commandToolbarButton text="Export All Rows to Excel" immediate="true"
id="exportAll">
<af:exportCollectionActionListener type="excelHTML" exportedId="table"
filename="export.xls"
title="ADF Faces Export - All" exportedRows="all"/>
</af:commandToolbarButton>
<af:commandToolbarButton text="Export Selected Rows to Excel" immediate="true"
id="exportSelected">
<af:exportCollectionActionListener type="excelHTML" exportedId="table"
filename="export.xls"
title="ADF Faces Export - Selected Rows"
exportedRows="selected"/>
</af:commandToolbarButton>Good Luck,

What's the best way to export UTF8 data into Excel?
Hi,
Database charterer set is UTF8
PARAMETER VALUE
1 NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTERSET UTF8
2 NLS_CHARACTERSET UTF8
My requirement is that I want to export oracle data into excel file by using UTL_FILE oracle supplied package.
But while writing data into excel files it’s looses in UTF8 encoding and writes some garbage data into file.
I am very much sure that while retrieving the data form database it is perfectly encoded with UTF8, but after data is written to the file it eats the UTF encoding resulting into some garbage data.
e.g.
I am retrieving this filed from database which is UTF8 encoded in DB “Langäcker 55” but when it is written into excel it becomes “Langäcker 55”.
Is Oracle UTL_FILE eating the UTF8 encoding while writing into file? if yes, is there utility which can help me to remain the UTF8 encoding as it is while writing in to excel file? Is there anythingi can do in Oracle to get this done?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks,
SantoshUntil now I have not found anyone who could write real Excel files (MS binary format) in PL/SQL. So I assume that you write your data in strings separated by a character like ; or |, aka CSV.
Try to open your file with 'wb' (write binary) instead of 'w' and then use
-- write data
utl_file.put_raw(v_file,utl_raw.cast_to_raw(<your data>));
--write remaining data
utl_file.fflush(v_file);
--close the file
utl_file.fclose(v_file);Regards

Update the data into excel sheet .
Hi Friends..
If I run the program it want to store the data into excel sheet(first few lines) , if i run the program again I want to store the next result in the same excel sheet after that data(first time data).
is it any solution available to store the data in the same excel sheet again again in different row of that excel sheet.
Thanks
GowrishankarHi,
I am not sure which FM u r using for downloading. The FM GUI_DOWNLOAD will work for your requirement. Set the parameter Append to value 'A'. Every time it will append the data to ur file.
Check below code.

Hi everyone, again landed up with a problem.
After trying a lot to do it myself, finally decided to post here..
I have created a form in form builder 6i, in which on clicking a button the data gets exported to excel sheet.
It is working fine with a single table. The problem now is that i am unable to do the same with 2 tables.
Because both the tables have same number of columns & column names.
Below are 2 tables with column names:
Table-1 (MONTHLY_PART_1)
Table-2 (MONTHLY_PART_2)
SL_NO
SL_NO
COMP
COMP
DUE_DATE
DUE_DATE
U-1
U-1
U-2
U-2
U-4
U-4
U-20
U-20
U-25
U-25
Since both the tables have same column names, I'm getting the following error :
Error 402 at line 103, column 4
alias required in SELECT list of cursor to avoid duplicate column names.
So How can i export the data to excel which has 2 tables with same number of columns & column names?
Should i paste the code? Should i post this query in 'SQL and PL/SQL' Forum?
Help me with this please.
Thank You.You'll have to *alias* your columns, not prefix it with the table names:

Exporting the data to EXCEL 2003 in PCUI
Hi all,
I am using PCUI for CRM 5.0. In that I have a export as a standard button. It exports data in CSV format to excel. I created a XML template and tried to export the data in a well formatted way. But the data that is getting exported in CSV format is not getting exported when I choose the XML template. Only field names are getting displayed.
Also I am not getting the XML option in EXCEL that will be normally there in 2003 version.
What might be the reason?
Please help me in this regard.

Reg: Exporting the data from the Physical Standby database system.
Hello all,
We have an oracle standard edition one 11gR1 environment, in which i need to export the data from the physical standby system.
So can anyone suggest me, How to do it safely (mount state).
Regards,
Konda.Hi,
You can use "exp" utility to export the database from a read only database whereas you can't export the read only database using "expdp".
Since you are using version 11g, it is not advisable to use exp. You can convert your standby to snapshot database, open read, write and export the database using expdp and then again convert it to standby.
This is a very easy process which we follow in our company to do testing when required.
Follow note 11g Using Snapshot Standby Database. (Doc ID 443720.1) for converting and usage.
Thank you!! -

How to downlaod vednor master data into excel sheet in SAP Application ser
Hi friends
I want to download SAP vendor master data into excel sheet and the file should be stored in SAP Application server Location with padding zeros.
Please help me.
ThanksHi Ramesh,
You can download the data into application server using the following code. You will have the vendor details in the internal table. Then you will open a file and transfer the data as follows.
* Download internal table to Application server file(Unix)
DATA: e_file like rlgrap-filename value '/usr/sap/tmp/file.txt'.
open dataset e_file for output in text mode.
lOOP AT it_datatab......
transfer it_datatab to e_file.
ENDLOOP.
close dataset e_file.
In application server you will have only files and not excel sheets.

Is there any way to end the excel.exe process from Labview?I use Excel Active X control frequently to save and then analysis test data. In order to properly destroy the "Excel.exe" process it is important to close all the automation refnums opened when using the Excel active x controls. After completing your desired Excel task wire all the refnums in reverse order they were created into the Automation Close function in Functions->Communication->Active X pallette. This includes all Application, Workbook, Worksheet, or Range refnum. Missing even one of these refnums will mean that Excel.exe will still persist in the task manager and cause problems when excel is opened from outside LabVIEW. I hope this helps.
