Reg: Refresh in a TabStrip

Hi All,
We are using a TabStrip with 5tabs, each tab contains Forms. when we enter data in tab1, click on 2tab and come back to 1tab data entered remains same.
It's not refreshing the data. I tried view.viewreset in ModigyView, but does not make any difference. Please help me to refresh the data.

Are you using ViewContainer UI?
Try to invalidate the node mapped to your UI elements.
wdContext.node<NAME>.invalidate();

Reg:Refreshing the Screen

Hi Friends,
In my Application i have five Screens.
Each screen has different functionality.
My requirement is such that after i Execute the function module my Screen should be refreshed with the updated values.
Is this possible in Web-Dynpro(Java) Scenario?
I am using SAP as my R/3 .
For Clarity let me give an example:
I have two Tables.
My functionality is to Copy one row selected in a Table to the Other Table.
I am able to fulfill the functionality,now when i go back to the previous screen and come back to this screen the Table is getting Updated.
My requirement is such that after completing the task itself it should show me the Updated one.
Please help me out.

Hi Chandrashekhar,
You can use view.refresh();
But this can be used only in wdDoModifyView method, where the current View is passed as a parameter.
Do not directly use it in the method, as it is called for each user interaction. Using appropriate combination of conditions in modifyView you can do so.

Reg: Refresh of Objects

Hai,
I setup the product successfully. But now my requirment comes in diffrent way. i.e I want to refresh the objects present in the cache for the particular interval of time.
Once it reaches the specfied time, the values need to be refreshed from database. can anyone throws the light on this problem?

I just moved this thread here from the Test Forum.
The most elegant approach is for you to implement a MapListener to hook into the expiry events (with cache items set to expire after a specified time period), at which point you can force a reload of the expired item.
If you look at com.tangosol.net.cache.CacheEvent, there is a method called isSynthetic() which returns true for synthetic (internal) events such as eviction. An eviction will appear as a synthetic delete event.

Reg: Refreshing the Values saved in the View

Hi,
I'm having a popup window, it is getting opened when i click on link. in the popup view i'm entering some values and saving it and closing the popup.
the problem is when click the link and open the popup again, i'm having the saved values there, but i need a refreshed page.
How to do this, Help me out with detailed procedure

You would be saving the values in some context...
why dont you invalidate the context node every time you open the view wdDoInit() method...
In the pop window's wdDoInit() method....write following:
wdContext.nodeXYZ().invalidate().
where XYZ is the node with attribs containing the data.

Reg: Onclick events in tabstrip

Hi experts,
I have created an application with a view whcih has tabstrip. This holds the other views embedded in it for each tab.
Inside the each views, there are buttons to allow naviagiton for before the current tab and as well as to the next tab.
On click of this button, how should the code be incorporated as we cannto use inbound / outbound plugs for this case.
Please help on this.

I think, you have other views embedbed in other TABS.CReate a attribute for TAB selection and bind it to the SELECTEDTAB
When you are in first TAB, upon those buttons handler,
You can set the attribute to 2nd TAB.
As I have achieved the same.
Hope this is clear. Then you dont require any plugs right.

Iam unable to add BUTTON to tapstrip , "Add Elements to Tab" is disabled.
(My tab strip contains 2 tabs , i want to add it to first tab).

Basically you can add buttons to UWL. The problem will arise when you want the button to do something sensible. I don't think that there is some standard Export to Excel action available. Of course you could do some custom development.

How to add contents to Tab in TabStrip

Hi All,
My requirement is to display a screen/view as a content to a TAB when user selects any tab in the Tab Strip. I have developed screens for each tab seperately.
Can any one tell me how to achieve this in web dynpro.

Request status in infocube is always in yellow status..

Hi Friends,
We are loading the data from 3 ODS to one infocube but all the requests from ODS to infocube is always haivng yellow status ( even though load is completed without any errors). We are manually changing the status to Green.
Any suggestions regarding this problem...

Symptom
All requests in InfoCubes have the QM status 'yellow traffic light'.
Solution
In the InfoCube administration in the menu
'Environment -> Request handling...'
activate the flag 'Set quality automatically' on the popup 'Maintenance of the automatisms'.
This flag was of no importance before BW Release 2.0.
This flag is interpreted actively as of BW Release 2.0. For InfoCubes where this flag is deactivated, every request must be set manually to green (available for reporting) or red (incorrect) by a QM action.
As a result, the individual request can have a different status independent from its monitor load status in different InfoCubes.
After upgrading from BW1.2B to BW2.0, the flag is interpreted, but is not set for any of the old InfoCubes.
Therefore data, including old data, is not automatically visible in reporting, if it is not rolled up or compressed.
In order to accomplish this, you can either activate the flag 'Set quality automatically' or set every request manually to green (administering the InfoCube on the 'Requests' tab in column 'QM status of the request after update').
This is a button column that only affects the status of this request in this InfoCube!
By setting the QM status in the monitor for the load log of this request you can set all QM statuses of this request in all updated InfoCubes simultaneously.
If you change this flag, you choose button 'Refresh' in the tabstrip 'Requests' so that the flag will interpreted and the requests are set to 'Green' in the InfoCube and thus displayed in Reporting.

Any suggestions to avoid refreshing of TabPanel content of TabStrip control?

I am using sap.ui.commons.TabStrip to toggle different views. The content displayed in TabPanel is included into iframe to avoid naming collision might happened in distributed environment. Due to the internal mechanism of TabStrip control, if the content of iframe is not saved and user toggle to another view, when he comes back, the iframe will be refreshed and unsaved content will be lost.
Take the example below, iframe has been used in Tab1 to avoid naming collision, once user switch to Tab2, the TabStrip control will move content "<iframe src='test.html'></iframe>" in DIV of Tab1 into the hidden div with ID "sap-ui-preserve" and remove the DIV of Tab1. Once user switches back to Tab1, the DIV of Tab1 is reconstructed with content in div "sap-ui-preserve", refreshing occurs and filled content by user disappears. To avoid this, we have to use DIV to replace iframe, which means SPA, but there might be naming collision when there are 5-6 tabs and the tab content are developed by different developers.
I checked other Tab controls, the Div of tab1 will be simply hidden with CSS, refreshing would not occur. Any other reasons to reconstruct the content of invisible Tabs? Or any suggestions if we continue to use UI5 control "TabStrip"?

Thanks for the reply! The background is we are using UI5 to implement one SRM application, and which is developed by 20 developers. For individual page, one part is developed by application developers and shell by framework developers, application UI is embedded in the shell.there is requirement to access the control and set the attributes in different js files.
For the shell, it's developed with declarative view, there isn't way to choose the control without ID. For application UI, without ID, variable of control have to be global variable to allow others' code to access.

Reg: Error while refreshing the WebI Report

Hi all,
I created WebI report based on universe that is connected to Excel data. Through DSN I m accesing Excel Data . I created same DSN in server also. If I refresh the webI Report in BO server it tells the following error.
A database error occured. The database error text is: [Microsoft][ODBC Excel Driver] System resource exceeded.. (WIS 10901)
Before that its working fine. what may be the problem?

Though i use refresh_table_display , The value in the output table, say i_final changes, but while displaying the output , the whole screen is blank , even the container is not appearing in the output .

Reg ora-12034 materialized view log on younger than last refresh

Hi,
when i update my base table materialized view log shows the updated rows
but when i refresh materialized view it wont show updated rows in materialized view and also there is no rows in materialzed log
it shows error ora-12034: materialized view log on younger than last refresh

When you create a materialized view you should be able to set the refresh interval. Using that, you can refresh the M view based on your needs. Below example has the sytanx:
