Re: regarding file content conversion

i tried.but m getting this error
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Exception in XML Parser (format problem?):'java.lang.Exception: Message processing failed in XML parser: 'Conversion configuration error: Unknown structure 'ns1:MT_HyperionReport' found in document', probably configuration error in file adapter (XML parser error)': java.lang.Exception: Exception in XML Parser (format problem?):'java.lang.Exception: Message processing failed in XML parser: 'Conversion configuration error: Unknown structure 'ns1:MT_HyperionReport' found in document', probably configuration error in file adapter (XML parser error)'
Actually my input structure is:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<ns0:MT_ECCReport xmlns:ns0="urn:syngenta.com:i_ecc_erp:se:global:fi_reports:common">
<ACTFiscalyear>siva</ACTFiscalyear>
<StartPeriod>44</StartPeriod>
<EndPeriod>55</EndPeriod>
<LineItems>
<ReportingUnit>rama</ReportingUnit>
<ProfitCentre>844</ProfitCentre>
<Amount>855</Amount>
</LineItems>
</ns0:MT_ECCReport>
and in FCC i wrote below these three lines:
LineItems.fieldSeparator 'nl'
MT_HyperionReport.fieldSeparator 'nl'
LineItems.fieldSeparator 'nl'
So please tell me what is wrong in this
MT_HyperionReport is your message type and this represents the top level node of your message. Below this you have your records. You have MT_HyperionReport as a record type which is clearly not going to work.
In the content conversion parameters section the following fields should be filled, you dont need to specify Recordset if your XML structure does not include this node see SAPhelp example:
Document Name: MT_HyperionReport
Document Namespace: <look at your message type in the designer>
Recordset Structure: Record_type1,<occurrence 1..>, Record_type2,<occurrence 1..>
In the parameter box:
Record_type1.fieldSeparator
Record_type1.fieldNames
ignoreRecordsetName value true
Record_type2...
The SAP help on this is pretty clear and comprehensive...

Query regarding file content conversion using file adapter
Hi All
I have a question regarding file content conversion in file adapter.
I have a file coming in the following format.
AA,111,222,333
BB,444,555,666
CC,777,888,999
My incoming message structure has a hierarchy. The CC record is a structure part of BB record. BB record is a structure part of AA record. It is like this:
AA,111,222,333
<<BB,444,555,666>>
<<<<CC,777,888,999>>>>
After file content conversion, in the resulted xml, i am getting a flat hierarchy instead of nested hierarchy.
Is it possible to get a nested hierarchy as a result of file content conversion?
Please let me know
Thanks
ChandraHi Udo
According to your suggestion, I am trying to use mapping.
I am getting a flat file and i am reading it.
This is my source structure:
AA,11,22,33
BB,44,55,66
CC,77,88,99
This is my required targer structure:
AA,11,22,33
<<BB,44,55,66>>
<<<<CC,77,88,99>>>>
To explain this, BB record can have multiple records of CC records.
AA records can have multiple records of BB record.
I am using removecontext node function.
CC (Source) (removecontext)-> CC (target structure)
But here, when i rightclick on source CC field in the mapping editor, i cannot see any other context except root node. So, how can i proceed here??
Many Thanks

Question regarding File Content Conversion
Dear SAP experts,
I need you expert advise regarding this.
I have here my sample structure,
CSV ---> this is the message type of the message
'-- ROOT --> this is the root node
'-- FieldA --> has a value of "Filename"
'-- Field B
'-- subfield1 --> has a value of "A"
'-- subfield2 --> has a value of "B"
'-- subfied3 --> has a value of "C"
I want to output this flatfile,
subfield1;subfield2;subfield3
A;B;C
the output flatfile must have Header lines (subfield1;subfield2;subfield3)
What will be the correct parameters in my File Content Conversion, so as, the value "Filename" will not be included in the output flatfile?
Recordset Structure: ?
Kindly advise.
Thank you very much!

Regarding file content conversion in Sender File channel
Hi all,
In one of my requirement, one file contains several details records as given below,
101,india,1001,albert,517193
101,india,1002,hilbert,517193
101,india,1003,robert,517193
102,nepal,1004,kiran,9234334
102,nepal,1008,kiran,9234334
102,nepal,1003,kiran,9234334
103,nepal,1004,kiran,9234334
103,nepal,1008,kiran,9234334
103,nepal,1003,kiran,9234334
i want to send all the records which starts with 101 to one function module and all records which starts with 102 to another function module and all records which start with 103 to some other function module. In my sender channel i am planning to use
101, 102, 103 as key field values to read them into 3 different structures.
like Recordsset structure = detail1,, detail2,,detail3,*.
Details1.keyfieldvalue = 101
Details2.keyfieldvalue = 102
Details3.keyfieldvalue = 103
Will this idea work out??
Thanks,
BaluHi Balu,
Yes u r correct, u can access the records by setting the key field value as u mentioned.
But other way is also by,
access the all records as similar one, so no key field value.
the whole record as a single element.In the mapping u have a string function called StartsWith.
In mapping u can specify if the incoming record starts with 101 then map it to FM1(Fumction Module 1).
If the record starts with 102 map it to FM2......
This will be very simpler i feel...
If i am nt clear pl do post the problem in detail.

Doubt regarding File Content Conversion. File- RFC
Hi Experts,
My scenario is File -> XI -> RFC,
I am able to update the records in R3 when i get a fixed length file with a single record.
RFC can process one record at a time (its 1 to 1 , its not 1 to unbounded),
May i know what are the changes to be done in the scenario to implement this existing interface to process a fixed length file contains a multiple records.
How to get RFC return messages when ever there is return message , as this is not the synchronous scenario.
Please help me out.
ThanksHI,
First you need to create a structure [SE12]
Once that is done, open the function module [SE37] and select the tab [Table].
Add a new parameter and for the Associated Type use the structure that you have just created.
Then reimport the RFC in XI.
I hope it helps.
Now, to make the RFC return messages you shall create a BPM.
Notice that this will be a Async -> Sync -> Async interface...
Basically your bpm steps will be like this:
Receive,
Transform if needed,
Syncronously Send and receive response,
Transform again if needed,
Send Asynchronously.
Take a look at the image in the link to have a better idea on the BPM setup
https://weblogs.sdn.sap.com/weblogs/images/251764026/bpmAsync2Sync2Async.JPG

Kindly advise what is wrong on my parameters set.

Or i will change my structure of XML ?
Thank you very much!
FredHi Raj,
Im just 4months working in SAP XI, and i still consider myself as a beginner.
I've only used Receiver File Adapter in my scenario (NO Sender File Adapter)
These are the configurations i've made in the Receiver File Comm Channel.
For the Parameters TAB:
File Receiver
Transport Protocol: File System (NFS)
Message Protocol: File Content Conversion
Adapter Engine: Integration Server
File Access Parameters:
Target Directory: * specified directory
File Name Scheme: .csv
Processing Parameters:
File Construction Mode: Create
Write Mode: Directly
File Type: Text
Adapter-Specific Message Attributes
- Use Adapter-Specific Message Attributes
- File Name
Run Operating System Command After Message Processing
Command Line: chmod 664 %F
Content Conversion Parameters:
Recordset Structure: SLI
SLI.addHeaderLine: 3
SLI.headerLine: PERIO;EAN;ILN;....
SLI.field Separator: ;
SLI.endSeparator: 'nl'
Adapter Status: Active
For the Identifiers TAB: (i've had no configs on that)
For the Module TAB:
Processing Sequence:
Number: 1
Module Name: CallSapAdapter
Type: Local Enterprise Bean
Module Key: 0
That's all in my configs in Receiver File Adapter.
Is it ok if you check this?
I've read a SAP Blogs, https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/6400. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
I've read in it that there must be set-up in the Module TAB to get the Filename in the Dynamic Configuration.
Kindly advise.
Thank you very much for your usual support.

Doubt regarding Sender adapter file content conversion to RFC
Hi Experts,
Below is the my Source and Target XML structure ( i have creaated source structure same as target RFC structure), This scenario is working fine when i give XML file as input. File -> XI -> RFC , xml file is able to update the information in R3.
How should i configure sender file adapter for file content conversion for above structure(in this case input is fixed lenth text), and i could able to change source structure according to our req, without changing target RFC strucuture.

<VALID_FROM>20070421</VALID_FROM>
<VALID_TO>20091231</VALID_TO>
</IDENTIFICATION>
</ns0:MT_HSA_IDNumber>
I have configured sender file adapter with FCC like :

Record structure as: COMMIT_I,1,IDENTIFICATION,1

COMMIT_I.fieldFixedlengths: 1
IDENTIFICATION.fieldNames: STUDENT,ID_TYPE,ID_NUMBER,VALID_FROM,VALID_TO
IDENTIFICATION.fieldFixedlengths: 12,6,60,8,8
i am getting error like this: even when i change source structure like below metioned:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<ns0:MT_HSA_IDNumber xmlns:ns0="urn:passhe.com/UpdateIdNumberISA32">

dhanushHi Dhanush,
Try giving the Sender FCC this way for the source structure you have mentioned above.
Record structure as: COMMIT,1,IDENTIFICATION,1
COMMIT.fieldNames : COMMIT_I
COMMIT.fieldFixedlengths: 1
Hope this helps.

FIle Content Conversion Problem in IDOC-XI-File Scenario
Dear All,
I am doing IDOC-XI-FILE scenario.
I am facing one problem related to File Content Coversion.My requirement was to generate a dynamic file like <b>%store_code%_%current_date%_sitemaster.xml</b> , I have completed the dynamic generation successfully .
Now there is slight change in the requirement ,<b>we have to suppress the current_date node of the xml content</b> . i have tried to suppress the current_date using these <b>DATE.fieldFixedLengths 0 , Date.fixedLengthTooShortHandling Cut</b> , But I am unable to suppress it Can some body provide me the details on this .
The output xml version generated by Reciever file adapter is as below :
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
- <ns0:MT_SITE_MASTER xmlns:ns0="http://sample-xitest.com/sitemaster">
- <SITE_DATA>
<STORE_CODE>N002</STORE_CODE>
<TITLE_MEDI>Company</TITLE_MEDI>
<STORE_NAME>Mount Road</STORE_NAME>
<STREET>Chennai</STREET>
<COUNTRY>IN</COUNTRY>
<SALES_TAX_NO>12345678910</SALES_TAX_NO>
</SITE_DATA>
</ns0:MT_SITE_MASTER>
Plz provide me the code I have to write in the file content conversion .
Thanks in advance
Regards
PrabhatIf u see my earlier reply, I mentioned that u can not suppress the field from the one node.i.e Form SITE_DATA data type u can not suppress the field called CURRENT_DATE.
My suggestion is that , modify the Data type in such a way that you will be having two nodes as I have mentioned earlier. Then use the Suppress Logic for the Current Date.
So it will look like this-
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
- <ns0:MT_SITE_MASTER xmlns:ns0="http://sample-xitest.com/sitemaster">
- <SITE_DATA>
<STORE_CODE>N002</STORE_CODE>
<TITLE_MEDI>Company</TITLE_MEDI>
<STORE_NAME>Mount Road</STORE_NAME>
<STREET>Chennai</STREET>
<COUNTRY>IN</COUNTRY>
<SALES_TAX_NO>12345678910</SALES_TAX_NO>
</SITE_DATA>
<CURR_DATE>
<CURRENT_DATE>20051105</CURRENT_DATE>
</CURR_DATE>
</ns0:MT_SITE_MASTER>
So ur SITE_DATA is not having a field called CURRENT_DATE. This field is in separate node (segment ) called CURR_DATE. Now u can use the Suppress Logic for the same like this.
CURR_DATE.fieldFixedLengths - 0
CURR_DATE.fixedLengthTooShortHanling - Cut
And in your Variable Substitution you can use the date from the other segment called CURR_DATE.
Hope this solves ur problem.

File Content Conversion Problem
Hi
I have a flat file having 10 fileds with fixed length of field 7 characters
abc bcd dce cef ecf fgi
123 234 343 233 434 343
322 222 222 222 222 222

<dce>434</dce>
<cef>3434</cef>
<ecf>343</ecf>
<fgi>434</fgi>
</SEND>
</ns0:MT_send
As per the client req I'm going with FCC. The file is picking fine with the FILE. But not picking with the FCC.
The parameters which I gave are as follows.
SOURCE I feel it is fine since file is picking fine and keeping the same for FCC also.
PROCESSING
QOS -- Exactly Once
Poll Interval -- 10
Processing Mode -- Delete
Empty-File Handling -- Process empty files
CONTENT CONVERSION Parameters
Document Name -- (am giving sender data type name) DT_send
Document NSpace -- http://OTO-Continue.com
Recordset Name -- SEND
Recordset Structure -- SEND,*
Recordset Sequence -- Ascending
Recordset per Message -- 0
And in the table the parameters am settings are
SEND.fieldNames abc,bcd,cde,def,efg,ghk
SEND.fieldFixedLengths 7,7,7,7,7,7 (because each and every field has 7 characters)
SEND.keepIncompleteFields No
SEND.fieldFixedLengthType char
SEND.fieldContentFormatting trim
SEND.fieldEndSeparator 'nl'
This was the configuration. But this is not working I monitored the Communication Channel and file is not reading and not getting deleting.
What actually went wrong in above configuration. Why it is not working.
Thanks.Hi Swarna,

There is no root node, so in your FCC you need to mention your RecordsetName and you can ignoreRecordSetName in result structure. Check the following blog simulates your requirement.
