Hi,
   how do we schedule multiple packages at a time in ssis

You could create a master package with Execute Package Tasks to execute child packages and then use SQL Server Agent to schedule the master package.

    If they are related packages (same project/dependent) then you should create a master package with 20 execute Package Tasks. Or you can use a Foreach Loop to loop through all packages
    sequentially or even in
    parallel.
    Or else listen to Olaf Helper and create 20 jobs...

  • How can I install multiple packages in one time?

    I use Software Update on this PowerBook to download, keep the packages and install onto my 3 Mac's.
    The question is how can I install multiple packages (update stuff) in one time (as we can do with Remote Desktop)? Just to save my time from retarting the machines for every single (required) packages.

    Instead of downloading the packages in advance,
    check (Software Update default) every software you need, then choose "Install & Keep Package" from the Install menu.
    This will install everything without needing to update prebindings and restart between each installation.

  • How to schedule multiple imports in one time?

    Hi all,
    I've got a simple question, which hopefully has a simple answer
    Is it possible in the task list (trx SCMA) to schedule imports for all attached logical systems to that maintenance cycle in 1 time, in stead of scheduling imports for each logical system separately?
    We've got 10 logical systems in 1 maintenance cycle.  And the imports have to be scheduled on the same timings for all of these systems, so eg. from today untill the 14th of June we want a daily import in all attached logical systems of that maintenance cycle.
    Is this possible to do this in 1 action?

    I think I took the wrong term.  We have several logical system landscapes in 1 maintenance cycle.
    For instance:
    Maintenance cycle 1 contains:
      landscape R3
         DEV
         QAS
         PRD
      landscpae BW
         BD0
         BA0
         BP0
      landscape SRM
         ED0
         EA0
         EP0
    If I want to schedule an import job to import all transports of maintenance cycle 1 in all systems, I have in the above example to schedule 3 jobs. (1 in PRD, 1 in BP0 and 1 in EP0)
    The question is whether I can do this by 1 action. Schedule the import of all PRD systems on the maintenance level in stead of the landscape levels separately.

  • Sharing SSIS Expression Amongst Packages

    Hello:
    We have a common Expression with System Variables that we want to be able to use across various packages.  How can we do this?
    For example, when OnError event occurs, we want to send an email notification with the Error Code, Error Description, Package Name & ID, Task Name & ID, various Time Stamps, etc.  Currently, we can do this by using an Expression and copying
    the Task in the OnError Event Handler to other packages and even projects.  However if we need to change the template of the email message to include other System Variables in the future, we want to be able to update the Expression for all Packages at
    once (instead of going to each Package and updating each Expression in the OnError Event Handler).
    I've tried inserting the Expression as a Project Parameter, but then the email message is only able to return the string containing the Expression in the Project Parameter -- it will not execute the Expression.  In other words, there is no function
    we can use such as EvaluateAsExpression(@[$Project::DynamicErrorMsgProjectParam]).
    I've tried using Package Variable (at least there will be less navigation necessary to get to the Expression this way), but this doesn't work either since some of the System Variables only pertain to Tasks / Event Handlers and the scope of the Variable can't
    seem to be dynamic.
    Nonetheless, ideally, I rather use Project Parameter so that we only have to change the Expression once per project as oppose to having to do it for each package.  I wish there is an EvaluateAsExpression flag or function we can use for Project Parameters. 
    Anyone have any suggestions on how to go about this?  Thanks in advance!

    I would use BIDS Helper Batch Update to update property of Email Task.You can update multiple packages at same time.
    If packages property paths are at different level then it might be good idea to create a user variable and change that variable Expression property with BIDS Helper Batch Update. You can use that variable in

  • Basic question regarding SSIS 2010 Package where source is Microsoft Excel 97-2005 and there is no Microsoft office or Excel driver installed in Production

    I got one basic question regarding SSIS 2010 Package where source is Microsoft Excel 97-2005. I wanted to know How this package works in production where there is no Microsoft office or Excel driver installed. To check that there is excel driver installed
    or not, I followed steps: Start-->Administrative Tools--> Data Sources(ODBC)-->Drivers and I found only 2 drivers one is SQL Server and another one is SQL Server Native Client 11.0.
    Windows edition is Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise, Service Pack-1 and System type is 64-bit Operating System.
    We are running this package from SQL Server Agent and using 32-bit (\\Machine_Name\d$\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\110\DTS\Binn\DTExec.exe /FILE "\\Machine_Name\d$\ Folder_Name\EtL.dtsx" /CONFIGFILE "\\Machine_Name\d$\Folder_Name\Config.dtsConfig"
    /MAXCONCURRENT " -1 " /CHECKPOINTING OFF /REPORTING E) to run this package. I opened the package and tried to find out what connection we have used and found that we have used "Excel Connection Manager" and ConnectionString=Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data
    Source=F:\Fares.xls;Extended Properties="EXCEL 8.0;HDR=YES"; and source is ‘Excel Source’
    I discussed with my DBA and He said that SSIS is having inbuilt Excel driver but I am not convinced.
    Could anyone please clear my confusion/doubt?

    In SSIS, the Excel Source and Excel Destination natively use the Microsoft Jet 4.0 OLE DB Provider which is installed by SQL Server. The Microsoft Jet 4.0 OLE DB Provider deals with .xls files created by Excel 97-2003. To deal with .xlsx files created by
    Excel 2007, we need the Microsoft ACE OLEDB Provider. SQL Server doesn’t install the Microsoft ACE OLEDB Provider, to get it we can install the
    2007 Office System Driver: Data Connectivity Components or
    Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable or Microsoft Office suit.
    The drivers listed in the ODBC Data Source Administrator are ODBC drivers not OLEDB drivers, therefore, the Excel Source/Destination in SSIS won’t use the ODBC driver for Excel listed in it by default. On a 64-bit Windows platform, there are two versions
    of ODBC Data Source Administrator. The 64-bit ODBC Data Source Administrator is C:\Windows\System32\odbcad32.exe, while the 32-bit one is C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe. The original 32-bit and 64-bit ODBC drivers are installed by the Windows operating system.
    By default, there are multiple 32-bit ODBC drivers and fewer 64-bit ODBC drivers installed on a 64-bit platform. To get more ODBC drivers, we can install the 2007 Office System Driver: Data Connectivity Components or Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable.

  • Split a large table into multiple packages - R3load/MIGMON

    Hello,
    We are in the process of reducing the export and import downtime for the UNICODE migration/Conversion.
    In this process, we have identified couple of large tables which were taking long time to export and import by a single R3load process.
    Step 1:> We ran the System Copy --> Export Preparation
    Step 2:> System Copy --> Table Splitting Preparation
    We have created a file with the large tables which are required to split into multiple packages and where able to create a total of 3 WHR files for the following table under DATA directory of main EXPORT directory.
    SplitTables.txt (Name of the file used in the SAPINST)
    CATF%2
    E071%2
    Which means, we would like each of the above large tables to be exported using 2 R3load processes.
    Step 3:> System Copy --> Database and Central Instance Export
    During the SAPInst process at Split STR files screen , we have selected the option 'Split Predefined Tables' and select the file which has predefined tables.
    Filename: SplitTable.txt
    CATF
    E071
    When we started the export process, we haven't seen the above tables been processed by mutiple R3load processes.
    They were exported by a Single R3load processes.
    In the order_by.txt file, we have found the following entries...

    Hi Haleem,
    As for your queries are concerned -
    1. With R3ta , you will split large tables using WHERE clause. WHR files get generated. If you have mentioned CDCLS%2 in the input file for table splitting, then it generates 2~3 WHR files CDCLS-1, CDCLS-2 & CDCLS-3 (depending upon WHERE conditions)
    2. While using MIGMON ( for sequencial / parallel export-import process), you have the choice of Package Order in th e properties file.
      E.g : For Import - In the import_monitor_cmd.properties, specify
    Package order: name | size | file with package names
        orderBy=/upgexp/SOURCE/pkg_imp_order.txt
       And in the pkg_imp_txt, I have specified the import package order as
      BSIS-7
      CDCLS-3
      SAPAPPL1_184
      SAPAPPL1_72
      CDCLS-2
      SAPAPPL2_2
      CDCLS-1
    Similarly , you can specify the Export package order as well in the export properties file ...

    In OLT when you set the auto-pilot you can schedule the test to start after a delay of xxx minutes or at some exact time, however I have never used that fixture.

    Hi,
    You are correct there is no setup table concept in HR extractors.
    But there is a cache. Usually HR extractions will be full load. But it also supports delta. There is no setup table concept in HR.Once you perform your init (with or without Data transfer your delta path is set and delta will follow else can go for Full loads alone. It will extract data from the relevant tables like generic extractors. The data will be filtered based on the selection parameters.
    Except for payroll and time management rest all sub-functional areas supports only full load.
    In case of full loads, old data needs to be deleted to avoid duplicated records in the target.

    This DataSource supports delta updates.     Here the data will be extracted from an info type (PA, PD, time management etc) and for few other applications it is from the cluster tables (Payroll, compensation etc.)
    HR is basically master data centric because it is always related to people related Info Objects, such as Employee, Person. In most of the cases HR master data is defined as Time Dependent to enable historical evaluation. HR R/3 system records a specific period of validity for each Info type.
    Procedure to extract the HR data:
    Activate Data Sources in the Source system (R/3)
    Replicate Data Sources in BW system:
    Activate business contents in BW.
    Populate HR cubes with data by scheduling info packages.
    Note: Master Data should be loaded first
    Except for payroll and time management rest all sub-functional areas supports only full load.
    In case of full loads, old data needs to be deleted to avoid duplicated records in the target.

  • Can SSIS 2012 execute packages built on 2008 R2 BI for 2008 R2 SQL Server?

    We have a query regarding SSIS instalattion on application server. As SQL Server 2008 R2 is getting out of life, DBAs are suggesting to install SSIS 2012. Now our concern is
    that our SQL Server DB Server is on 2008 R2, and developers are building packages using SSIS 2008. 
    Considering we deploy file packages, and backward compatibility, theoretically it shall work. There are 3 things here -
    1. {2008 R2 SSIS Package} ------ Deployed On -------> 2. {Server with 2012 SSIS installation} ------- Connects to ------->  3. {SQL Server 2008 R2 DB Instance}
    Any recommendation on this. Would it work? Anything which could cause issue?
    As we have to pay for license, do not want be in a situation where we pay for SSIS 2012 installation on server (#2 above) and then realize that there is some issue

    Hi Amit,
    Just as Visakh and hsbal said, there will be no issues as SSIS 2012 will work with standard previous versions of SQL Server packages. But some custom SSIS Tasks can always throw error after upgrading packages from SQL Server 2008 R2 to SQL Server 2012.
    About this, please remember to do the following things:
    Change your custom tasks and components to target the .NET 4.0 Framework in each of the project properties, in the Application Tab, under Target framework.
    Update the assembly references in each of your projects to point to the appropriate SqlServer dlls.
    Build and copy your project dlls to the appropriate directory, depending on what kind of components you are updating, i.e. Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\110\DTS\PiplelineComponents
    Register your components in the GAC.
    Close Visual Studio and then reopen; open your SSIS packages and refresh the SSIS Toolbox, by right clicking in the tool box and selected Refresh Toolbox.

  • Hyperion Smart Cut Session Issue streaming multiple reports at a time using

    This is a lengthly post with details, Please review with Patience:
    We are trying to integrate Workspace based web Analysis reports within our intranet portal, thru portlets (made from individual workspace smartcut link), so that users can customize their page as needed, Once they login thru intranet, Cookie is set and passed to succeeding smart cut links via secured http headers. This part is fine, but mainly running into issue with streaming several multiple web-analysis reports at a time,+ we are using Iframe to display and stream multiple individual reports on to one page, but unfortunately all Iframes are sharing one session rather than creating individual session, mostly because of limitation of current web analysis system architecture and IE browser behavior with sessions .
    Which Hyperion reporting tool does allow to stream multiple reports  at a time? ideally we want to create Iframe of each workspace report so that users can customize and pick portlets as needed. To stream multiple reports at a time.
    Problem Description: Hypeiron Web Analsysis, Smart cut reports incorrectly rendering images and intermixing dash boards on POV changes upon multiple reports being diplayed at one time thru Iframe's, issue seem to mostly relate to Hyperion using single session rather to multiple session when displaying several web reports at a time.
    Steps Needed To Reproduce:
    User logs into workspace.
    user click on expolore and able to view the report without any issues.
    When right on any of the report and select properties.
    Select the SmartCut url and paste it in the Internet explorer.
    The webanalysis report opens without any issues.
    Similarly user copies the smartcut url for a different report and paste the link on a different tab or new window of same browser.
    The report on the first tab gets over written of the report of the second tab of the browser.
    The issue happens when two different reports and opened on a browser with multiple tabs. The reports get over written.
    Oracle development answer:
    In the described scenario opening new browser window does not spawn a separate independent browser session. A new browser window is supplied with URL pointing to the same domain, so all browser cookies including the "ORA_WA_SID" (WA session cookie) are shared between the windows. But multiple application instances cannot run in the same browser session simultaneously because of session sharing. This is not actually a defect, but rather a limitation of current system architecture and browser behavior. And there is no way to fix it programmatically on the product side.

    Your current arrangement puts most of the session handling and persistence on the client. This forces you to accept whatever the client decides to persist and propogate between browser elements (in this case iframes).
    My approach would be to:
    Consider coding your portlets to manage the sessions. Manage using a somewhat stateless strategy so that each request to the server requires a login and connect, retrieve, and disconnect. Each Iframe should access a different portlet url (or provide a different query) based on its content.
    This way, in theory, you can invalidate the sessions and related cookies and update the various report elements independently.
    Is smartview out of the question here?

    Like 6 time Click Submit. That data will save in ECC.
    So I was taken table. But in that Table only first row will be editable. I want all 6 will editable that time he will put data in rows then click on submit.

    Dear Vijay,
    To enter multiple inputs in a table and to make the other rows editable you have to provide that node with initial values.
    by initial values I mean you have to make that much space in your table node.
    For example the name of Node is  yourNode & you have empid, name, sal ,firstname, last Name
    attributes in that node, and you have to make 6 rows editable.
    Then, simply write this code in you wdDoinit() method of your view controller.

    We use to scrap FERT materials using Mvt. Type 551 / 555, but before scrapping stocks are being removed from Sales Order using Mov. Type: 411 'E', because Batches are produced against Sales Order under MTO strategy.
    The removing process from Sales Order using T.Code MB1A & Mov. Type: 411 'E' is quite time consuming because in this case only one batch is removed from Sales Order at a time.
    So is there any way by which I can remove multiple Batches at a time from Sales Order.
