How do I load an Adobe Photoshop cs that was originally installed on an old PC which crashed ? The old PC had XP and the new computer has windows 8.

If you really are talking about Photoshop CS (from 2003) then forget about existing discs and existing serial numbers. They won't work.
The activation server for CS2 (and earlier versions) was decommissioned by Adobe a couple of years ago. Now you must download a new non-activation version and license the software with a new non-activation serial number.

There's no guarantee that CS2 will work on Windows 8 but there's no harm in trying.

Transferring Adobe Photoshop Elements from old mac (externalHD) to new iMac

Is it possible to do this transfer? I am not very techie and I tried one thing I thought might work...but of course it was too easy. I dragged the APE folder from applications in old HD to my desktop. Then I dragged it into Applications folder in new computer. I got a msg saying that licensing for this product has stopped working...there's a problem that requires restarting computer in order to launch program. So I restarted and then got the same msg....and it says if continued to see this msg then contact IT administrator or Adobe tech support and mention the error code 6. Any ideas? Thank you!

You need to re-install using the original installer.

Yes. You have to deactivate it on one computer and then you can install it and activate it on another. Technically, your license allows you to have Photoshop CS6 installed and activated on two computers, you just can't use both at the same time.

Currently, I'd recommend converting RAW images to Jpeg in either Photoshop or Lightroom and then uploading them to Creative Cloud for working with them in Photoshop Touch. I know raw support is something our developers are considering so please add your vote here:

How you best incorporate Photoshop Touch into your workflow is hard to say. What works best for one person may not be true for everyone. Photoshop Touch obviously doesn't have all the capabilities of its desktop counterpart but it does have the ease of use and portability of being on a tablet. Personally, I like using Photoshop Touch for editing images taken with the iPad or my iPhone for convience versus transferring to transfer to the computer, or even if I still do, I can do some of the initial edits from the tablet first. Its nice when I only have the tablet available and not a computer. For images I take with my DSLR I always do my editing in Photoshop and Lightroom. I'm able to make any adjustments on the computer much faster than on a tablet.
If you have the option to shoot in both Jpeg and RAW that might be good option (best of both worlds). Do you have the ability to import images from the camera without using a computer - using a camera connectivity kit or something like that? My recommendation would be expermentation, test out different workflows on the tablet and see how you like it and find what works best for you.

I know I am allowed to have it on two computers but I would like to keep my second install for future use instead of having it stay on my old failing computer and go to waist. Before uninstalling the creative cloud apps the deactivation is required. To deactivate the subscription you can launch any product ( photoshop, dreamweaver etc)
go to help menu and you will find the option deactivate. This will deactivate the whole subscription and you don't need to do it for all the products.
After deactivating the subscription you can uninstall the products one by one.
You can then go to the new machine and login to www.creative.adobe.com, login and then start downloading the products.
