Remove from Table

Hello all. I have a listbox that i am using to design cycles and add cycle steps to a table. If i make a mistake i can clear the whole table by reinitializing to default value. My problem is that i cannot figure out how to remove the last step in the table. Any help is Greatly appreciated.

We are doing global BI implementation.
We need the reports run in English and French.
We have spent a great amount of time and made the needed entries for translation in French language, in the table: RSZELTXT, for all the english entries corresponding to all BW query elements.
Today suddenly, we have found that all the entries related to 'FR' language got completely removed.
All the BW team members are pretty sure that no body touched this table.
How could this happen?

Pages 5.0 removing images from tables.

After upgrading to Pages 5.0 I now receive a message when opening any file with a table that has images in the cells. Basically Pages is removing all images from table cells. Anyone having this problem and is there an easy fix?

DrBrian, this is what I did to resolve this issue. I found out that we may still have Pages 09 installed on our systems! Go into Finder - Applications. If you have a folder titled iWork 09 click it and you may find Pages 09 there. Double click to open Pages version 09 where you will be able to open all of your files just as they should be.
I will not be using the new Pages upgrade. I have too much time invested in creating documents and templates for my business and I am not willing to re-learn a new package which has much less functionality. Hope this helps you.

Remove vertical scroll bar from table control

i had used table control in my application. i want remove vertical scroll bar from table control.
At initial time in table control there is no vertical scroll bar. In my table control lines are dependent on internal table which i was used to fill it.
i was used these code for to set table control lines.
DESCRIBE TABLE IT_RISK_ZINRISEXC LINES EXC_LINE.
TC_RISK_EX-LINES = EXC_LINE .
Initially there is no data in internal table so there is no vertical scroll bar. After getting value i am filling internal table. and there is scroll bar in my table control. but i does not want that.
i was not selected RESIZING-VERTICAL OR -HORIZONTAL.

From Scroll Bars in Table Control
You can remove the scroll bar in the table control by switching off horizontal and vertical scrolling in the properties of the table control. The properties can be accessed from the screen painter by double clicking on the table control. Regarding the page up and page down functions, I believe you add those buttons in the screen layout and code for them. You can use the standard function code for the page up and page down functions.

You can get rid of the vertical scroll bars by not setting table control lines. This way the user can only see the visible lines of the table control. As for the horizontal scrollbar, just make sure that your table control doesn't contain too many fields.

Inspector > Table > Table > Cell Borders
The buttons immediately below "Cell Borders" allow you to choose left, right, inside, outside etc.
Choose None from the border style Pop-up.
Download the Number'09UserGuide from the Help menu in Pages. Search for borders.

Remove a Table from a mapping

It is really monday,
I can not seem to find how to remove a table from a mapping that was put there by accident.

Never mind. Ware scared by the Delete but tried it.
Just delete.
it does not delete the object.
An enhancement would be to call that remove from map.

Performance from removing a table

If i wanted to update data in table with a new set of data, at the moment i am removing the table from the GUI and then instantiating a new table and adding it back to the GUI.
Would i be right in assuming this is costly on performance?
Is the alternative to create a tablemodel and as the data changes in the model, would i use JTable's method setModel() to update the data??

If i wanted to update data in table with a new set of dataIf you are changing all the data in the model, then creating a new model and using the JTable.setModel(...) method is the most efficient. However there is one gotcha. All the custom renderers you have attached to the table and any reordering of table columns the user may have done will be lost. To prevent this make sure to use the following:
table.setAutoCreateColumnsFromModel(false);
table.setModel(...);
If you are only changing a couple of values then use the JTable.setValueAt(...) method.

As per the code, i got 2 row in the table.
But , i have one Empty row on top of the table , how to get ride of this.
i find the same problem happening with dropdown too, where i used DDBI, i populated a the content as mention, but i initial 2 row as blank and then i have my own elements ,as per my code.

How to remove default value from table definition?

running 9.2
Following problem :
I need to remove default value from table.
Example
CREATE TABLE MY_TABLE(
NAME VARCHAR2(50) DEFAULT 'NAME',
AGE NUMBER DEFAULT 0
Now even when I use MODIFY like
ALTER TABLE MY_TABLE MODIFY (NAME VARCHAR2(10) );
The default is still there:
SELECT DATA_DEFAULT FROM USER_TAB_COLUMNS WHERE TABLE_NAME = 'MY_TABLE';
Is there any way?

Note:
If a column has a default value, then you can use the DEFAULT clause to change the default to NULL, but you cannot remove the default value completely. That is, if a column has ever had a default value assigned to it, then the DATA_DEFAULT column of the USER_TAB_COLUMNS data dictionary view will always display either a default value or NULL

May i know anyone has experienced in removing weird characters (non-A-Z, 1-10,) from table? I would like do data cleansing that to remove all weird char/ funny char from rows.

Forms Designer - Unable to remove Child Table from the form

Hello,
While testing adding additional attributes, I have assigned an additional child table to the form. However I am not able to remove it. I get an error message: "This version has been made active. Add/Update/Delete not allowed."
I tried creating new version and making it active to remove 'active' status from the form I modified, but still getting the same error. What am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance.

You are making version active b4 removing child table.

First, tell me how you determine that these entries are 'obsolete'.
Removing master data from SCM can usually be done using transaction WUF; however, you have to ensure that it is not re-sent to the SCM system, or you are just wasting your time.

How to remove a table from Replication

Version: SQL 2008 R2
Problem: I have a user who wants to remove table, but when she tries to remove it ( drop the table), she gets an error:

MSG 3724, Level 16, State 2, Line 6: Cannot drop the table, 'dbo.<table name>' because it is being used for replication.
MSG 2714, Level 16, State 6, Line 2
There is already an object named '<table name>' in the database.

To investigate, I saw the following:
In the SSMS---> Replcation---> Local Publication--> [XYZ].Pub_XYZ
[SERVER Name].[XYZ_Replication]
Local Subscriptions:
[Reference DB].[Server\Instance].[Instance Name]:ABC.ABC_TO_XYZ.Reference DB).
How do I remove that table? Do I need to edit Replication? How? Which one?

You need to reinitialize the subscription.
If a subscription is not synchronized within the maximum distribution retention period (default of 72 hours) and there are changes in the distribution database that have not been delivered to the Subscriber, the subscription will be marked deactivated by the Distribution

Can I Select from table skipping extents linked with lost datafiles?

I need your help to recover my database.
I'm using oracle 9.2.0.8 at Fedora 3 with no-archive mode.
and I don't have any backup.
Last night, I experenced hard disk failure.
I tried OS-level recovery, but I lost some datafiles of tablespace.
anyway, I wanted to recover my database without data of lost datafiles.
so, I issued "alter database datafile offline drop" and
start oracle instance.
But, datafiles were not removed from dba_data_files view and
extents linked with lost datafiles were not removed from dba_extents view!
Selecting query of some table containing extents linked with lost data files,
I got "ORA-00376: file xxx cannot be read at this time" message.
So, my question is that..
HOW CAN I SELECT FROM THAT TABLE WITHOUT SCANNING EXTENTS LINKED WITH LOST DATA FILES?

Hi,
Without being in archivelog and without backup, one can't do any sort of recovery. That's why backups and archivelog are so so important.
The offline data file command never does actually drop the datafile. It merely indicates to the control file that now the said tablespace will also be dropped. This won't update any view that the files are not supposed to be used or shown to you anymore.
This is what documentation says about the recovery of the database in the NoARch mode,

You do need a backup in order to get those tables being read. Oracle doesn't have any feature which can offline/skip the missing extents for you and let you read the data without them.

Deleting the values from table control

HI,
I need to remove the selected line from the Table control on my screen.
The point is that the Internal table does not have any records,.
for example in the Customer Create screen,
while entering the bank details we will enter it in a tbale contraol.
but the records doesnt exist in the database. but the record gets deleted from the table control only if we press delete button.
please guide me.
please note : I want to delete the record from Table Control on the screen and I dont have any corresponding database records..

The solution to your problem - deleting values from table control.
Here: it_wizard is the internal table which is holding the value of table control.
         wa_wizard is the work are of the internal table it_wizard.
         it_delete is the internal table which holds the deleted record of table control.
         wa_delete is the work area of the internal table it_delete
Also here the field ZSEL is the character field which is used to select the entire record in the table control.
LOOP AT it_wizard into wa_wizard WHERE zsel = 'X'.
       MOVE-CORRESPONDING wa_wizard TO wa_delete.
       APPEND wa_delete TO it_delete.
       delete table it_wizard from wa_wizard.
DELETE FROM zfin_goods WHERE ZFG = WA_delete-ZFG.
ENDLOOP
if sy-subrc eq 0.
Message 'Delete Successful' type 'S'.
endif.
The above code will delete the record from both the table control.internal table and the database table.
I think this will help you to great extent.
