Remove header from output of pipeline

I am trying to get the update time of the most recent .vhd in a folder.  I have:
get-childitem "*.vhd" | sort-object LastWriteTime | Select-Object LastWriteTime
My issue is I am trying to get rid of the header.  How do I do that?  I tried the option with format-table but was not able to set the result to a variable in a script.
$testme = get-childitem $dstPath\$guestName\*.vhd | sort-object LastWriteTime | Format-Table -HideTableHeaders  LastWriteTime
writehost $testme

This usually works, sometimes doesn't:
get-childitem "*.vhd" | sort-object LastWriteTime | Select-Object -ExpandProperty LastWriteTime
The 'ExpandProperty' parameter is supposed to be used for expanding properties that are collections, but if the property is a scalar value it will just print it out without the header. Odd, but works.
A more direct way is:
get-childitem "*.vhd" | sort-object LastWriteTime | ForEach-Object {$_.LastWriteTime}

  • Remove header from a csv output in Bipublisher

    Hi All,
I am generating a csv output from a Bipublisher report. The problem is I am getting the header (Column Names) in the extract.
I hAve removed the column name header from the rtf template.
Please let me know if we have to change any setting anywhere.
    Thanks,
    Krishna

    Hi
CSV output wont consider the rtf template it will direct extract of the columns you have in the dataset of a datamodel.
i dont think you can remove the column headings . if you don't want column headings you can try excel template or etext templates.

  • How to remove xmls from output?

    Hello All,
I have created a BPEL process that takes a flat file and converts to an XML file. I get an output of the following (see below). Is there a way that I can remove xmlns="" from the output?
    Incorrect Output
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <WhseShipNotice xmlns="">
    Correct Output
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <WhseShipNotice>
    Any suggestions?

    Kathy

I can remember if this xsd removes namespaces correctly, I think it may still have the initial xmlns at the top but give it a try. Typically what needs to be done is some embedded java to do this.

Here you go. You should read as string to get the whole header, then delete the first six rows of the array(as previously mentioned). Finally write it back to a new file.

  • How to remove header from B2C webshop from internet sales application?

    Hi All,
I am working on B2C webshop. I need to design a user registration page which has only workarea section and no other section in the page. I have been able to remove the header contents, but the area in which header jsp was placed is looking empty which looks awkward. I need to occupy the whole page with workarea only. How to do it? Do we need to do any changes in layout-config.xml? If so, please tell me how to do the changes.
    TIA.
    Regards,
    Serene

    Hi Serene,
Please don't make any changes into layout-confix.xml directly.
    Please try below two options.
    1. First try to play with  \b2c\root\mimes\b2c\stylesheet.css stylesheet.
    2. If you don't get any luck then please try to find any property in B2C's XCM.
    Please update.
    Thanks,

  • Remove header and footer from blank left-hand pages

Are there any scripts to automatically remove header and footer on a blank left-hand page for an InDesign CS3 document? I have a book with many chapters and it would be more efficient than removing them by hand.

It's a one liner from a much longer script that does quite something else -- this is merely a side effect, a quick way to get a page range (i.e., I need the range "251-256" to appear on my first page, excluding an optional blank last one) [*].
Perhaps I could write a full script, but for that I need a bit more information. Is your document an InDesign Book, with each chapter in a separate document? If so, any empty frame on a last leftmost page can safely be deleted. If your book is in a *single* InDesign document, this line can only be used if a left hand page has *no objects at all* -- not even an empty frame. That's the easy case -- in English "if there are no objects on the page, apply the "[None]" master. If there *is* a frame, however, it cannot be removed right away, even if it seems empty. That's because in that case you probably have inserted a page break somewhere on the previous page, and if the frame is deleted, tht page break will push off the text on the *next* page (the right hand). It also depends on what kind of page break -- as a character or as a paragraph Keep Option; Next Page, Next Frame, Next Odd Page, Next Column. Way too complicated to script right off the bat.
All in all, applying that empty master maually is much easier :-)
[*] Sure, I know how to use the Next Page Number trick. However, I also need the range in my XML output, and the Page Number markers do not play nice when written out in ASCII.

  • How to remove Header and Footer from Flat File

    Hi,
In a scenario , we are going to recieve a flat file which will contains header , footer and data. We have to have to load data in Oracle tables and remove header and footer.
once the data load is complete , we have to delete flat file from source directory.
Please help me in solving this issue.
    Thanks,
    Kamlesh

You have a header parameter in the file datastore. You can provide any number to skip rows from top of the file. For footer you can create a filter in staging area.
Filter coould be something like this.
    where source_alias.source_column not like '%FOOTER_OR_ANY_VALUE_AS_PER_YOUR_REQ'

  • Unable to remove the redundant group header from the bottom of page

    Hi,
In one of my projects in I am facing a problem.
I need to display the details of all available products of the company. While displaying the details, I need to group the products based on some criteria (like type of product, release date) and the grouping is upto 4 level grouping. Grouping criteria can se said as, I need to firstly group all the products based on the type, then on the Release Date and then on two of the client specific values on the Product.
Along with this, the view of product details is a thumbnail view (Image on top with all details below that line after line) due to which I need to display multiple (5) products in one row.
The problem which I am facing is:
The most important criterion for the customer is that there should not be any wastage of space.
Secondly, they also donu2019t want to see partial data like only the header data in one page and the Product related Data (Image and Info) on the next page.
In my case, when first page has insufficient space for the next grouped products, it simply displays the group header on the first page. On the second page, it again displays the group header along with the data.
For reference, images are available at:
    Image1: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3454/3224626688_aa3cfb8236_m.jpg
    Image2: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3373/3224626782_0501cf566f_m.jpg
My requirement is to remove the redundant group header from the first page as it does not make sense without having any data below it.
I have tried the following options:
    1. I tried to apply setting "Keep Group Together" on the group and "Repeat Group Header On Each Page". But when I apply this, when my second group has more than 5 products (two rows of data) and space on first page can accommodate only 1 row of data, it moves the data on to the second page instead of keeping the 1st row on first page and 2nd on second page. This solution is not acceptable to the customer as it wastes space.
    2. If I remove setting "Keep Group Together" on all the groups, but keep the "Repeat Group Header On Each Page" and remove the "Keep Object Together" in the details section, I can save space. But this is not acceptable to the user as it leaves dangling headers (Orphaned Header Information).
Need some pointers to overcome this issue as it is very critical for me.
    Thanks in advance,
    Vibhav Agrawal

    Thanks Raghavendra for your reply.
These solutions provided on the link are not useful for me because of the peculiar layout of my report.
In my report I am supposed to show details of multiple items (upto 5/6) in a single row.
All solutions suggest about adding additional header (below group header) and use the formula to use that header to put the data for initial first object and details section for the subsequent objects.
But, since i need to display multiple items in same row...and data cannot be set as 'format with multiple columns' in the header, hence this solution does not work for me
    Thanks,
    Vibhav Agrawal

  • Using CL_RSR_WWW_MODIFY_TABLE to remove rows completely from output!

    Hello All,
I have a problem I am trying to work thru and I need some assistance.
    Here is the issue...
I have a report, in which I want to completely remove uneeded rows (depending on the contents of the row).
I have had a look thru the how-to papers on the TAble interface (so please don't post links to those, they are not what I am searching for as they only describe things like not displaying cell contents, and like I stated, I want to not show rows...ie, delete them from output.)
Does anyone have some code to show me how to accomplish this?
    Here is my scenerio...
I have a query, from the 0IC_C03 infocube (I understand the IM scenerio, so don't post links to the SAP help for How-to on this subject), and in the query, I have storage location and material. As we all already know, the infocube does not give a good solution to provide values only on Storage location. But, to get around this, you can have a report with Material in the rows, and do a calculation (Price * Qty) to get the totals by storage location. But, I do not want to show the materials. (Yes, I know there is yet another how to paper on realizing inventory on storage location level, but that does not produce correct results).
The query is doing exactly what I want...here is the results.
    STORLOC____MATERIAL_____VALUE
    <b>LOC1________RESULT_______$200000</b>
    LOC1________MATNR1_______$150000
    LOC1________MATNR2_______$50000
    <b>LOC2________RESULT_______$2500</b>
    LOC2________MATNR3_______$1500
    LOC2________MATNR4_______$1000
    <b>LOC3________RESULT_______$500</b>
    LOC3________MATNR5_______$500
    You get the idea...
Anyway, I want to turn the above, into the following..
    STORLOC____MATERIAL_____VALUE
    <b>LOC1________RESULT_______$200000
    LOC2________RESULT_______$2500
    LOC3________RESULT_______$500</b>
Essentially, removing everything but the results rows...
Now, I have read a few other questions out here on something similiar (someone else was trying to accomplish the same thing) but nobody has ever posted a reasonable answer to the above question, so I am hoping, some of you have a solution, either via defining my own CL_RSR_WWW_MODIFY_TABLE solution or via Javascript.
If someone has accomplished this with the table interface, which method and how did you change the table?
If someone has accomplished this with javascript or something else, I would like the details of that as well.
Note: I was able to read the table, and was able to use a temp table, and remove the rows I did not want, but, I was not able to update the table passed by the interface.
This code works to get the right rows, but, it doesn't allow me to update the passing table.

       l_index = sy-index.

         delete wa_y_axis_data-set where tuple_ordinal = set-tuple_ordinal.
       ENDIF.
      ENDLOOP.
    ENDLOOP.
Any similiar experiences or feedback is appreciated.
    Cheers!
    /smw

    Hi Steve,
just want to know why the material has to be present in this report - when not shown in the end - just to have it in the column or why wonder?
