Remove namespace from element name

hello,
which is the most efficient way to remove the namespace from the name of all the elements of a dom document ?
eg:
<ns1:mytag>aaa</ns1:mytag> should become <mytag>aaa</mytag>
is it possible to have an example in java ?
thanks
roberto

Personally I would write an XSLT to do that. Just modify the identity transformation to write out elements with no namespace prefix.

  • Remove namespaces from elements

    There is a problem I am experiencing, that others have discussed here Illustrator retains unsavory namespaces in SVGs, can't open it's own export
    Basically the AI document retains namespace data from SVG's that have been copied or used in some way to create the AI.
    When the document is saved to SVG - these namespace references remain and can result in invalid SVG output.
    Does anyone know of a way that these namespaces could be accessed using Illustrator Scripting?
    thanks,
    Mochael

    So under certain circumstances when an SVG is uploaded into our CMS data similar to this is added
    <svg version="1.1" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" x="0px" y="0px" width="2550px" height="2000px" viewBox="0 2000 2550 2000" enable-background="new 0 2000 2550 2000" xml:space="preserve" xmlns:cib="http://connectib.com/connect">
      <path id="outline33" cib:unitID="0" fill="#6FACD3" stroke="#878787" d="M984.7,3258.8l187.2-46.6c0,0,47.1-13.3,64.4,33.4
      l-5,153.5c0,0-1.8,73.1-76.4,98.3l-89.6,23.5l-3-9.8l-13.9,2.4l-0.2,4.4l-64.2,15.9l-7-30l-7 .5,1.2l-31.2-130l6.1-1.9l-6.3-30.8
      l8.9-3.7l-2.2-10.5l31.5-54.2l11.6-3.2L984.7,3258.8z" />
    </svg>
    If you open that document in Illustrator it's fine, it appears under certain circumstances Illustrator loses the namespace declaration and when you save to SVG you still get the property on the path, but no declaration which makes it invalid.

  • How to remove namespace from root-element

    Hi Gurus,
    I want one xml output from xslt transformation with no namespace. I managed to remove namespace from child elements by leveraging elementFormDefault ='unqualified' property of xsd. But not able remove namespace from root-element.
    Output that I want is :
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
    <inp1:Email_Mod_Root>
       <Email_Mod_Root_Element>

    isn't valid xml (you start with inp1: prefix and you end the tag with no prefix, but let's assume you don't want any prefix/namespace at all)
    if i use :

  • Removing date from file name

    Hello,
    Is there any way to move all the file from one location to another and remove the datepart from filename.
    for eg:- if file name is abc_20150411.xls change to abc.xls. if file name does not contain date part then ignore it.
    Can any one suggest if its possible.
    Thank You

    Hi ,
    I have created package based on your question and decribed in detail in below post:-
    https://msbitips.wordpress.com/2015/04/12/ssis-removing-datestamp-from-file-name-when-moving-from-one-location-to-other/
    You need package code, just add comment in this thread.

  • Remove  Namespace from XML File except Attribute

    Hi  XI  Experts ,
    1.I have referred to the code of xslt Generic XSLT Code to Remove ALL Namespaces from XML:
    http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1920630
    But this removes the Attribute : id  from the records .
    My expected output is supposed to be :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="GBK"?>
    <body>
      <head>
        <nsrsbh>112001069711</nsrsbh>
        <nsrmc>诺维信(中国)生物技术有限公司出口发票</nsrmc>
        <dcrq>20120209</dcrq>
        <sssq_q>20111201</sssq_q>
        <sssq_z>20120207</sssq_z>
        <records>4</records>
      </head>
      <data>
        <record id="1">
           <fpdm></fpdm>
        </record>
    </data>
    </body
    But after using this XSLT code it removes :id from <record_1 id=> and generated the below code :
    The xml file now doesn't contain teh attribute :id
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="GBK"?>
    <body>
      <head>
        <nsrsbh>112001069711</nsrsbh>
        <nsrmc>诺维信(中国)生物技术有限公司出口发票</nsrmc>
        <dcrq>20120209</dcrq>
        <sssq_q>20111201</sssq_q>
        <sssq_z>20120207</sssq_z>
        <records>4</records>
      </head>
      <data>
        <record>
          1
          <fpdm></fpdm>
           </record>
    </data>
    </body>
    Could  you please provide your input
    Plaese note : Here  XI versin iS x1 3.0 SP7 . I have tried suing the Analyzer bean for the Encoing  of Chinese : GBK Intsead of UTF-8 in the Namespace  . But AF_Modules/XMLAnonymizerBean is not comptacible with XI 3.0 SP7
    Hence i have used the following code to remove namespcae and add  Encoding :GBK instead of UTF-8:
    <?xml version="1.0" ?>
    <xsl:stylesheet
    xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="1.0">
    <xsl:output encoding="GBK"/>
    <xsl:template match="node()|@*">
      <xsl:copy>
       <xsl:apply-templates select="node()|@*"/>
      </xsl:copy>
    </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>

    You could use exclude-result-prefixes.
    For example:
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:wt="http://www.example.com" exclude-result-prefixes="wt">
    </xsl:stylesheet>

  • How do i remove "network" from Mac Name Devices?

    Im currently setting up an apple network to work with my Active Directory and so far so good. I have Active Directory authenticating users and open directory restricting access to features. In Finder i have been able to create a policy to remove the objects from the side panel e.g shared, places and devices. My problem is i am unable to remove "network" from clicking "mac name". The reason for me doing this is because it opens a massive security hole in my network. When i map/mount a windows directory e.g The users home directory, it then displays every share on that server apart from the hidden shares when you go to network>servername. Its not possible to hide all the shares because they are needed by windows e.g Netlogon and SYSVOL. So my question is how can i remove or can i remove Network
    Thanks

    But they can also be accessed by Windows, also when they are NOT visible. So just by hiding the folder, you don't add any security. If it had to be accessed there is always a way to without seeing the symbol. Set up ACL permissions for the shares so users can only access data they are authorized to.

  • How to remove namespace from xml in ALSB?

    I have a xquery transformation which works for data without namespace. But the data coming from source system has namespace details in it. Is there a way to strip the xml of namespace details from xml before passing it to xquery transformation?

    Hi
    silly mistake :P
    Following 'bold' declaration was not there!!
    Just copy paste following code as xquery and it will be all ok:
    declare namespace xf = "http://tempuri.org/vijfhuizen/com/myMessage/";
    declare function xf:strip-namespace($e as element())
    as element()
    element { xs:QName(local-name($e)) }
    for $child in $e/(@*,node())
    return
    if ($child instance of element())
    then xf:strip-namespace($child)
    else $child
    declare variable $e as element() external;
    xf:strip-namespace($e)

    Thanks for answering.
    the situation is that I have to make a pass-trough proxyservice.
    That I have never done before.
    explanation:
    proxyservice A-calls business service B, B need password and user name, but proxyservice A does not have Process WS-Security Header to configured, so I have to create a pass-trough proxyService to call business Service B.
    What is the best way of doing that ?
    As I have read that to solve the problem one can set ./ctx:security/ctx:doOutboundWss to true, the only way I saw that was possible was by mean of xquery.
    I am trying to explaine the same situation here again:
    I have proxyService A that does not have :
    Process WS-Security Header in the configuration, that mean I can not set it in my proxy Configuration by way of normal proxy configuration.
    But A is calling a BS that need security, so I want to create a pass-trough proxyservice.
    in order to do that, I want to set ./ctx:security/ctx:doOutboundWss to true in the request
    how can I set ./ctx:security/ctx:doOutboundWss to true in xq ?
    Tks

  • [solved]remove backslashes from file names?

    Hi!
    I have a lot of files that contain backslashes in file name, spread over many many folders.
    How do I remove that character from all file names? The approaches / scripts / programs I usually work with can't handle the invalid file names (e.g. loose the '\' and then 'cant stat()' -.-").
    Thanks!
    edit: Argh... now I've got copies of half of the files without the "\" in the same folders, because copying did work on most but deleting only on some... also multiple \\\ because I messed up one sed line. and "echo" failed to warn me about the result, just dropping a few \ while mv didn't... or something. So confused.

    Thanks, that did it!
    Don't know what exactly I've been doing wrong, but it seems not to happen any more since I try to do stuff with "while, read, ${}"  instead of "for, $(), echo, sed"
    pulce wrote:Not sure that's the point, but backslash is an escape
    Yes, I know, that was the problem. That's why those stupid things always keep either disappearing or multiplying - I guess I just suck at keeping track of what program handles them which way and depending on what.

  • Removing spaces from field names?

    Hi. I'm using Acrobat 9.3.3.
    I use the Form Wizard to create... forms. And a lot of these forms I need to have it do some math calculations -- sums, products, etc. But when I use the Wizard, it auto-creates field names with spaces in them. And (I don't know if this is normal), when I create formulas, notations, scripts, if it's trying to pull from a field with a space in the name it doesn't work.
    I have to go in and manually take out the spaces from all the field names... and there can be a lot of fields!
    Is there some process I'm not seeing, or some way to configure the Wizard, to remove/prevent spaces in the field names?
    Thanks for any info!
    Liam

    I don't believe it is possible.

    The existing .html files are named with text only (e.g., name.html), whereas the .jpg files have the date and text (e.g., 130415name.jpg). But the new html engine I am using creates files named like the .jpg files (e.g., 130415name.html).
    I can strip the numbers out of file names in Name Munger (Strip Characters > Characters: 0123456789).
    Now I need a regex search string that will strip the same characters within the html files.
    The changes would look like this:
    1.
    Before:
    <ul>
    <li class="previous"> <a class="paginationLinks detailText" href="../content/090914name.html">Previous</a> </li>
    <li class="index"> <a href="../index_4.html" class="detailLinks detailText">Index</a> </li>
    <li class="next"> <a class="paginationLinks detailText" href="../content/090125name.html">Next</a> </li>
    </ul>
    After:
    <ul>
    <li class="previous"> <a class="paginationLinks detailText" href="../content/name.html">Previous</a> </li>
    <li class="index"> <a href="../index_4.html" class="detailLinks detailText">Index</a> </li>
    <li class="next"> <a class="paginationLinks detailText" href="../content/name.html">Next</a> </li>
    </ul>
    2.
    Before:
    onclick="window.location.href='content/020922name.html'"
    After:
    onclick="window.location.href='content/name.html'"
    What is the regex search string for these examples (any numbers preceding any letters preceding .html)?

    Set the Search option to Source Code
    In the Find field:
    (content/)\d{6}(\w+\.html)
    In the Replace field:
    $1$2
    Select the "Use regular expression" checkbox.

  • Remove ".local" from server name

    is it possible to have local clients connect to the server using it's name and name.local?
    it seems to be automatically appended.
    using os x server 10.3.9

    Been on holiday, so I am now re-visiting this issue.
    Despite all the settings being setup exactly how they are asked for, including setup and troubleshooting guides on the Apple website, this is still not working.
    When I setup the mail account on the phone, the account gets verified immediately suggesting it has found the URL and verified the user credentials I have entered ok. But no mail, contacts or calendar events are syncing with the phone. I honestly have no idea at all why this is occurring.
    Just for clarification, our server is Microsoft Windows Server 2003. Exchange Server is 2003 SP2. We use Outlook Web Access with an SSL certificate, and this works like a dream in a browser, so it's not an SSL or Firewall issue.
    If anybody is able to help I would greatly appreciate it.

    Hi ,

    Which process you've used for removing namespace...java/xslt mapping. In case of java mapping plese remove ns3 while creating the target element. Please go through the below blog it may help you.

  • Removing spaces in column names

    Hi
    I have imported a number of tables from a legacy db. The column names in tables have spaces in them. Is there a script I can run to remove spaces from column names in all tables?
    Thanks
    Regards

    First of all, I do not agree with the concept of changing the column names. There is a good chance of breaking your code, if the table has been referred in procs/functions etc.
    One good method would be, import the tables from legacy db into staging and then insert into your actual tables by mapping the tables correctly where your actual table would not have the [space].[Here, I assume your procs/functions etc refer only your actual
    tables not staging tables].
    OR, if you are looking for a plain logic, then use the below:
    The below script wont execute the change, but just would give the statements to be executed to make the column modifications. This is intentional, because this is not a good practice and you can verify the objects and scripts rather than executing it directly.
    create table test_table([column test space] int)
    --select * From test_table
    --Script to do the change in column name
    select 'EXEC sp_rename '''+ B.name+'.'+a.name +''', '''+replace(a.name,' ','') +''', ''COLUMN''' from sys.columns A
    Inner join sys.tables B on A.object_id = B.object_id and OBJECTPROPERTY(b.object_id, N'IsUserTable') = 1
    where
    system_type_id in
    (select system_type_id From sys.types ) and charindex(' ',a.name)<>0
    EXEC sp_rename 'tbl_apas_t_tech.application id', 'applicationid', 'COLUMN'
    EXEC sp_rename 'test_table.column test space', 'columntestspace', 'COLUMN'
    Drop table test_table
