Removing client-config.wsdd from axis.jar

Hello
I am working with websphere and under the WEB-INF/lib folder i have axis.jar. This jar contains client-config.wsdd file.
This is causing some problems and now im told to remove client-config.wsdd file out of axis.jar and deploy it directly to <my_appName>.war/
Does any one have experience with websphere? or how can i remove client-config.wsdd file from a jar file? do i have to unzip it to do that? where should i place client-config.wsdd file so it is in my .war/ for the application.
Thanks

Many questions leap to mind.
1) Who told you that removing the JAR will remove that problem, and why?
2) Why is it so difficult to use WinZIP or any other tool to remove a file from a JAR?
3) What has it to do with WSAS?
4) Why don't you use the WSAS classpath settings to provide a file that overrides the one in AXIS?
5) Who hired you?

  • Urgent help for processing XML stream read from a JAR file

    Hi, everyone,
         Urgently need your help!
         I am reading an XML config file from a jar file. It can print out the result well when I use the following code:
    ===============================================
    InputStream is = getClass().getResourceAsStream("conf/config.xml");
    BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(is));
    String line;
    while ((line = br.readLine()) != null) {
    System.out.println(line); // It works fine here, which means that the inputstream is correct
    // process the XML stream I read from above
    NodeIterator ni = processXPath("//grid/gridinfo", is);
    Below is the processXPath() function I have written:
    public static NodeIterator processXPath(String xpath, InputStream byteStream) throws Exception {
    // Set up a DOM tree to query.
    InputSource in = new InputSource(byteStream);
    DocumentBuilderFactory dfactory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
    dfactory.setNamespaceAware(true);
    Document doc = dfactory.newDocumentBuilder().parse(in);
    // Use the simple XPath API to select a nodeIterator.
    System.out.println("Querying DOM using " + xpath);
    NodeIterator ni = XPathAPI.selectNodeIterator(doc, xpath);
    return ni;
    It gives me so much errors:

    org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The root element is required in a well-formed document.This often means that the parser can't find the document. You think it should be able to find the document because your test code could. However if your test code was not in the same package as your real (failing) code, your test is no good because getResourceAsStream("conf/config.xml") is looking for that file name relative to the package of the class that contains that line of code.
    If your test code wasn't in any package, put a slash before the filename and see if that works.

  • Problem accessing Application Ejb Jar files from Apache Axis jars

    I have deployed an EAR application, with a structure as shown below,
    MyApp.ear
    |____ MyApp_Ejb.jar
    |____ axis.war
    |_____ WEB-INF
    |_____ lib (This contains all axis specific jars)
    The application deploys just fine. But when i goto happyaxis.jsp and try to view all the web services that have been deployed. I get an exception "No provider type matches QName '{http://xml.apache.org/axis/wsdd/providers/java}SDL".
    Here SDL is a custom provider that i have written and all the required files for the provider are available in MyApp_Ejb.jar.
    I do not get as to why the axis.jar is not able to find classes in MyApp_Ejb.ear, when both these are in the same ear.
    Now i know i can add a utility jar to a war files classpath by adding a classpath line in the War file MANIFEST.MF. But since MyApp_Ejb.jar is defined as a Web Module this solution too doesnt help.
    Separating the provider related files from MyApp_Ejb.jar is not possible since there is too much dependance of other files within that jar.
    So i am looking for a solution where in i can continue to have MyApp_Ejb.jar as my ejb module as well as the axis related jars can find the required classes within MyApp_Ejb.jar. some way of sharing the ejb jar across to axis jars.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How to remove a Java instance from the config tools

    Hi,
    I would like to remove a java instance from the config tool since that server does not exist anymore.  Is there a way?
    Please le me know.
    Thanks
    Jean

    Jean,
    I think you can do this if you remove the entries of your Instance from instance.properties file located under the below path.Take a backup of the file first then do the changes and Restart the server once done.
    /usr/sap/SID/JCInstanceno/j2ee/cluster/instance.properties
    Hope this helps.

  • Is it possible to remove the 'soap12' namespace from the WSDL for basicHttpBinding endpoints (i.e soap 1.1 clients)?

    Hello,
    We want to import the WSDL from a running WCF service endpoint (which is using basic HTTP binding) in order to implement the same web service interface in a Lotus Notes application. Unfortunately the proxy generator for Lotus Notes doesn't like the particular dialect of WSDL that our WCF service is exposing, in particular it throws a wobbly when it sees
    xmlns:soap12=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap12/.
    Even though soap1.2 isn't being used, the basic http binding is leaving this reference in the wsdl and Lotus Notes seems to think this is a SOAP 1.2 WSDL file even though I know it's a SOAP 1.1 compatible file.
    In order to get around this I'm using disco.exe to pull the wsdl files down locally, manually edit the files to remove this unused name space and then edit all the schema import locations to convert lines such as http://localhost:7780/MEX?xsd=xsd0 to lines such as file://\wsdl\MEX.xsd etc...
    Is there a simple setting somewhere that will remove that 'soap12' fragment from the wsdl? It's a bit of a pain because we are in a development phase and so the WSDL isn't completely stable at the moment and is changing frequently which requires this manual editing stage.
    Thanks
    Paul.

    The following method works correctly for me:
    public class Soap11WsdlExporter : WsdlExporter
        public override MetadataSet GetGeneratedMetadata()
            var metadataSet = base.GetGeneratedMetadata();
            foreach (var metadataSection in metadataSet.MetadataSections)
                var description = metadataSection.Metadata as System.Web.Services.Description.ServiceDescription;
                if (description != null)
                    var namespaces = description.Namespaces.ToArray();
                    var newNamespaces = new XmlSerializerNamespaces();
                    foreach (var ns in namespaces)
                        if (ns.Name.ToLower() != "soap12")
                            newNamespaces.Add(ns.Name, ns.Namespace);
                    description.Namespaces = newNamespaces;
            return metadataSet;
    public class MyServiceHostFactory : ServiceHostFactory
        protected override ServiceHost CreateServiceHost(Type serviceType, Uri[] baseAddresses)
            ServiceHost serviceHost = new ServiceHost(serviceType, baseAddresses);
            var useSoap11 = true;
            //We only removing SOAP12 namespace only if all the bindings use SOAP11.
            foreach(var endPoint in serviceHost.Description.Endpoints)
                useSoap11 &= endPoint.Binding.MessageVersion.Envelope == EnvelopeVersion.Soap11;
            if (useSoap11)
                var behavior = serviceHost.Description.Behaviors.Find<ServiceMetadataBehavior>();
                if (behavior != null)
                    behavior.MetadataExporter = new Soap11WsdlExporter();
            return serviceHost;
    Hope this helps

    Hello,
    In Firefox 23, as part of an effort to simplify the Firefox options set and protect users from unintentially damaging their Firefox, the option to disable JavaScript was removed from the Firefox Options window.
    However, the option to disable JavaScript was not removed from Firefox entirely. You can still access it from about:config or by installing an add-on.
    '''about:config'''
    # In the address bar, type "about:config" (with no quotes), and press Enter.
    # Click "I'll be careful, I promise"
    # In the search bar, search for "javascript.enabled" (with no quotes).
    # Right click the result named "javascript.enabled" and click "Toggle". JavaScript is now disabled.
    To Re-enable JavaScript, repeat these steps.
    '''Add-ons'''
    You can alternatively install an add-on that lets you disable JavaScript, such as
    *[https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/noscript/ No-Script] (to disable JavaScript on a per page basis, as required)
    *[https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/quickjava/ QuickJava] (to easily disable and enable JavaScript, automatic loading of images, and other content)
    Thank you and I hope this helps!

  • Config 9i Froms to use https

    We are configuring 9i Froms Servlet to use https according technical white paper from OTN - JAR File Signing for JInitiator 1.3
    Here is our following steps:
    1) Create a temporary directory, for example c:\temp\jar. Open a command prompt
    session at that directory
    2) Unpack the f90all.jar (download by ftp from our 9iAS mid-tier AIX host) into
    this directory using the following jar command:
    c:\jdk131\bin\jar -xvf c:\temp\jar\f90all.jar
    3) Delete the c:\temp\jar\meta-inf directory created by the unpacking of the
    JAR.
    4) Repackage the JAR file in the c:\temp\jar directory using the jar command
    again. c:\jdk131\bin\jar -cf f90all_resigned.jar *.*
    Figure 14 ¡V Using the jar utility to re-create a JAR file
    5) Sign the new version of the Forms JAR file with my custom signing identity:
    c:\jdk131\bin\jarsigner
    -keystore c:\jdk131\certificates\keystore
    -storepass keystore_pwd
    -keypass pjc_identity_pwd
    f90all_resigned.jar
    pjc_identity
    6) verified the created jar is O.K. by using: jarsigner -verify
    f90all_resigned.jar
    7) ftp the new JAR file to the /forms90/java directory on the application
    server machine for deployment
    8)alter the formsweb.cfg configurations to refer to f90all_resigned.jar rather
    than f90all.jar
    9) open IE 6.0 to access the test form
    http://mid-tier:7778/forms90/f90servlet?config=testing (also using SSO in 9i
    Forms)
    It pop up a dialog asking the user if we want to trust this code, then redirect
    to the SSO login page and show the test for form in IE
    So, the http is working.
    10) open IE 6.0 to access the test forms
    https://mid-tier:4443/forms90/f90servlet?config=testing (using SSO in 9i Forms)
    It prompt error: Could not connect to
    https://mid-tier:4443/forms90/java/f90all_resigned.jar.
    Error message: Please ensure that the
    certificate for this web server is installed in C:\Program
    Files\Oracle\JInitiator
    And then hang the browser.
    Have anyone have idea how to solve this?

    Ernest,
    though not an expert on this: But is the certificate known by the HTTP server? HTTPS requires a custom certificate to encrypt the communication. The Public key needs to be known by the client (Jinitiator) and the Server (HTTP). As far as I remember there is a section on using HTTPS written in the Oracle9iAS application server docu.
    I also don't think that resigning the Forms archive files is necessary to use HTTPS. The signature of the f90all.jar files only tells the client that the Java classes can be trusted

  • How do I remove my iWeb pages from the Home folder so I can publish to a new host?

    I have moved my MobileMe site to a new service (GoDaddy).  The basic transfer went very smoothly.  With one tiny hitch:  the new URL text.
    IWeb places web  pages in folders, each folder being a  "site." The name of the root folder automatically becomes a "pointer" to the web site -- and part of the URL text.
    My current root folder  is named DavidChartrand -- me.  So..... when I published everything over to GoDaddy the text "DavidChartrand" was attached to my URL.
    Instead of seeing www.davidchartrand.com in the URL bar, visitors  see:   www.davidchartrand.com.com/DavidChartrand
    GoDaddy staff says this is simply a quirk in iWeb's design.  Fine, but it's annoying.  Is there anyway I can keep using iWeb but somehow remove the root folder.....that is, remove my site pages from the root folder and and then re-publish? GoDaddy tech support swears it  has many former MobileMe/iWeb users who have done this successfully but offered had no idea how.
    David

    The way iWeb publishes its websites, in its own folder, the normal URL is http://www.domain_name.com/Site_name/Page_name.html.  This is a normal URL for any web host.
    If you want to get rid of the site name you will need to publish your website to a folder on your hard drive and upload only the contents of the website folder to your server with a 3rd party FTP client like YummyLite, Transmit or Cyberduck.  That will get rid of the site name in the URL.
    Of course remove the existing website foldr from the server beforehand.
    I believe the folder you publish to on GoDaddy is named public_html.  You might try renaming your website to "public_html" and publish to GoDaddy.  In theory iWeb will see the website's folder already on the server and publish the website file into it.
    It works that way with HostExcellence.com which names the home folder the same as the domain name associated with it. This tutorial explains more about it: iW16 - Using HostExcellence.com with iWeb

    I set up a javascript calculation based on the input of a date field. As long as the user enters the date manually the script works fine. If user attempts to select date by drop down menu then script will not work. How can I remove the calendar feature from the Date field?

    You may have to wire custom script to get you what you need. That would probably work on 'exit' event.
    Just you give you better Idea here is some thing I have on a date field. If user types his own date instead of picking from calendar this code checks whether it is valid date or not and returns to the same field either they enter valid date or clear the field.

  • Configure WCF client at runtime from XML file

    Hi
    Since we use a special config system in our application that also uses xml files which are parsed at runtime, i also want/need to to integrate WCF configuration in our main config system. So we have only one config file and system.
    Our system is somewhat cumbersome, so I want to reference an app.config-styled xml file into our config system like
    config. file "bla.accfg"
    <class ID="WcfClient1" ... >
    <Interface>
    <Property Name="WcfConfigFile" Value="WcfClient1.config" />
    </Interface>
    </class>
    and the wcf config in "WcfClient1.config" is identical to the settings of app.config <sytem.serviceModel> section
    <configuration>
    <system.serviceModel>
    <bindings>
    <netTcpBinding>
    <binding name="NetTcpBinding_IInstallationCommunciationService">
    <security mode="None"></security>
    </binding>
    </netTcpBinding>
    </bindings>
    <client>
    <endpoint address="net.tcp://localhost:9002/InstallationCommunciationService" binding="netTcpBinding" bindingConfiguration="NetTcpBinding_IInstallationCommunciationService" contract="IInstallationCommunciationService" name="NetTcpBinding_IInstallationCommunciationService">
    <identity>
    <servicePrincipalName value="host/XXX-ZZZfutura"/>
    </identity>
    </endpoint>
    </client>
    </system.serviceModel>
    </configuration>
    So when the app stzarts i read the "WcfConfigFile" property in my "WcfClient1" instance, find file "WcfClient1.config" then I want to conigure my WcfCleint accoridng to the setttings found in this file.
    How can I achieve it?
    I know there is are new APIs in .NET 4.5 like "ServiceHost.ApplyConfiguration" and "ConfigurationManager.OpenMappedExeConfiguration".
    Whcih is the right one?
    Regards, Chris

    In short I want to know how I can configure a wcf client, that derives from ClientBase<T>,  at runtime to get the binding and endpoint from a config file (app.config format) so I can potentially change this file and switch the security or switch
    from NetTcp to Http or chnage the server's endpoint adress or such like.
    like Pseudo-code:
    MyClient client = new MyClient(Configuration.FromFile(....));

  • Separating native JDBC driver JAR from applet JAR - best way?

    Since I want to allow the customers/users of my applet to choose their own native JDBC driver to purchase at their site, I don't bundle the JDBC driver into my applet's JAR file. During my testing, here's what I've done:
    1. Deployed my applet HTML and JAR files to a web server folder.
    2. Extracted my JDBC driver JAR file's contents to that same web server folder.
    (My applet HTML contains 2 parameters that allow the applet to use the JDBC driver -- class name and connection string template.)
    This works fine, but I'm wondering if I'm using the best techniques.
    Questions:
    1. Do the contents of the JDBC driver need to be extracted from its JAR file? If not, what do I do, if anything, to allow my applet to "see/find" the driver class within the JAR?
    2. If the JDBC JAR file DOES need to have its contents extracted, is there a way to extract them to a central folder somewhere on the web server and have a variety of applets use them? If so, what do I need to do to make my applet "see/find" the file(s) in the central folder?
    Possibly looking for this stucture on the web server:
    /WebApps/JDBCfiles
    /WebApps/MyDbApplet1
    /WebApps/MyDbApplet2
    /WebApps/MyDbApplet3
    Any advice/recommendations? Thanks.

    Is it possible for a client application to access a jarred JDBC driver? I'd like to deliver a JDBC driver packed in a jar file, however, it won't work, here is what I am tring to do
    try {
         Class.forName("mfg.jdbc.myDriver").newInstance(); //--> throw an exception
    m_Connection = DriverManager.getConnection(szURL, props);
    catch(Exception e) {/...}
    Before class myDriver and other classes from package mfg.jdbc were jarred, a client application used to get the connection just fine, now I get an exception "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: mfg.jdbc.myDriver"
    I am using Java 2 Platform, no problem in running a jarred command like java -jar jarredclass.jar
    Any tips and hints would be gratfully received!

    3. Select 'Modelers'
    You can see that there is a default 'model' directory under your ViewController directory. When I try to remove it then save, I get "Error parsing the path: The ContentSet is empty" message.
    Does anyone have any ideas on how to remove this value?
    Thanks,
    Wes

  • Loading classes from another jar file

    I've set up my jnpl file so that it references a core jar file (contains main() function). The jnlp also references another jar file (app.jar) which contains class files that I load and instantiate dynamically (using ClassLoader). The core.jar file contains a manifest that includes a reference to app.jar.
    The app works fine when I use "java -jar core.jar" from the command line.
    However, when I wrap the jars using jnlp, I always get a null pointer exception because it cannot find any class that is in the app.jar file. I've tried different strategies, such as trying to load a class file that sits on the server (in a jar file and not in a jar file), but that also fails if I use jnlp (However, it works if I use "java -jar core.jar")
    Any ideas what is going on?

    This is the "OckCore.jar" manifest before signing:
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Main-Class: com.Ock.OckCore.OckApp
    Class-Path: . OckMaths.jar
    Created-By: 1.4.0-beta3 (Sun Microsystems Inc.)
    Name: com.Ock.OckCore.OckApp.class
    Java-Bean: FalseThis is the manifest after signing:

    Class-Path: http://hazel/Ock/. http://hazel/Ock/OckMaths.jar
    Name: com/Ock/OckCore/OckApp.class
    SHA1-Digest: KRZmOryizx9o2L61nN+DbUYCgwo=I have removed a load of irrelevant stuff from the "after" manifest to keep it readable.
    note that :-
    The OckApp.class loads normally from webstart and tries to load a class from OckMaths.jar.
    I can prove that OckApp.class does load because it creates a log file when it does.
    The OckApp.class tries to load a class from the OckMaths.jar. This fails if webstart is used but works if OckCore is launched using "java -jar OckCore.jar".
    The jars do exist at the location specified by the manifest.
    The application launches normally if I use "java -Jar OckCore.jar"
    Here is the jnlp file

    <jnlp

    The application doesn't launch from webstart.
    I've found that cache, but the jar files have been renamed.
    OckCore.jar is anOckCore.jar, etc... so I'm not sure if trying to write a cmdline will work anyway.
