Render frame via script get me uknown messege

hi 2 all, maybe some one know and can help me, what this Alert message mean and why it showing on 2 of my 7 working computers(all PC have after effects cs5 but why only on two this message showing?), when i try to render current frame  via my script. My script -- render current frame in png file(and in this stage after effect has bug and adding 00000 numbers to filename so i need find my rendered file and fix file name bug and import file back), so when i see this message my script don't work(AE render file, but filename incorrect and my script cant import it back to AE)
PS for render current frame i create my own preset(by hands) for output module based on png sequence
thx

hi guys, i figured out , the problem in my script render part, first i have code to save current frame by
myProj.renderQueue.item(1).outputModule(1).file = File(DesktopPath+"\\temp\\"+"_"+myLayerName); and this give me error, so i fixed this alert message by
myProj.renderQueue.item(1).outputModule(1).file = File(DesktopPath+"\\1111\\"+"ltp"+"_"+myLayerName+"[#####].png");
[#####].png -- this is a key, thx to all!!

  • Strange audio issue when running render queue via script.

    The issue I'm having with AE is odd, and I'm hoping someone may be able to shed light on the matter.  I have a very simple composition that, when I render out using the GUI, everything works as expected.  The video renders fine, the audio renders fine, etc.  However, when I invoke a script that runs the .aep file, sets the render queue for the composition in question, and then renders it, only the video comes through, but no audio.  There is nothing in my script prior to the setting up of the render queue that alters any audio layers (i.e. no code shutting off audio, etc.)  Has anybody ever encountered this?  The audio file is a .wav in 44.1KHz, 16bit, stereo, and will try other formats to see if the problem might with the file itself?  Although, I don't see how that would be the case if it is rendering just fine via the GUI.
    Any help you can offer for troubleshooting would be great!  Thanks for your help and time!

    Thanks for your suggestion.  It wasn't the output module.  I created a custom template for it and ensured the audio was checked.  It was an odd fix.  I deleted the audio layer, then dragged it back to the timline.  Then, it worked.  Cost me like two hours of work for that, and I should have checked it earlier.  But I still don't know why the original wasn't working.

  • Saving documents via Scripts: Get current file name and set save path/file type

    I am writing a script that will:
    -Make all layers invisible
    -Make a layer named "background" visible
    -Delete all the invisible layers
    -Save the docment as an EPS file (leaving the original document untouched)
    I am new to scripts and so have based my script by copying code from other scripts.
    Here is my code:
    var doc = app.activeDocument;
    var name = doc.name;
    var hide = function (){ // hide all layers (based on http://forums.adobe.com/thread/644267)
         var L=doc.layers.length;
         for (j=0;j<L;j++){  doc.layers[j].visible=false; }
    hide();
    // loop through all layers
    for (var i = 0; i < doc.layers.length; i++) {
                  // Create the illusrtratorSaveOptions object to set the AI options
        var saveOpts = new IllustratorSaveOptions();
        // Setting IllustratorSaveOptions properties.
        saveOpts.embedLinkedFiles = true;
        saveOpts.fontSubsetThreshold = 0.0
        saveOpts.pdfCompatible = true
    //Set up Variable to access layer name
              var currentLayer = app.activeDocument.layers[i];
    // Loop through the layers and make the back ground layer visible
              if (currentLayer.name == "Background") {
                        docName = name + currentLayer.name+".eps";
                        currentLayer.visible = true;
    // Delete Invisible Layers (based on http://www.cartotalk.com/index.php?showtopic=7491)
    var myDoc=app.activeDocument;
    var layerCount=myDoc.layers.length;
    for (var ii = layerCount - 1; ii >= 0; ii--) {
        var currentLayer = myDoc.layers[ii];
        currentLayer.locked = false;
        var subCount = currentLayer.layers.length;
        for (var ss =subCount -1; ss >= 0; ss--){
            var subLayer = currentLayer.layers[ss];
            subLayer.locked = false;
            if (subLayer.visible == false){
                subLayer.visible = true;
                subLayer.remove();
        if (currentLayer.visible == false){
            currentLayer.visible = true;
            currentLayer.remove();
    // Save Out Document with New Name
    var saveName = new File ( doc.path + "/" + docName );
    doc.saveAs( saveName, saveOpts );
    Everything works fine except:
    1) It saves the document with the name AdobeIllustratorBackground as opposed to the name of the document
    Also, I am not sure how to tell the script to save as EPS and to specify the save location.
    Could some one give me some pointers?          Thanks!

    Thanks! I changed my code to this:
    var title = doc.name;
    var title = title.substring(0, title.length - 3);
    And it now works! (The substring thing removes the .ai extenion).
    However, how do I get it to save it as an EPS? (I found this script that  saves as PNG, but I am not sure how to adapt it to EPS).
    Also, how do I set the file output path?
    Thanks for any help that can be offered.

  • Add placeholder footage to render queue via script

    When I do the below on a placeholder (import replace usage sequence) nothing happens.  Is there something wrong with my code or do placeholders not register as addable items?  If I add code to get and alert the name of the placeholder I get the name.  The code works on actual footage or comp items.  Thanks.
    var selected = app.project.activeItem;
    app.project.renderQueue.items.add(selected);

    Figured it out.  You have to add the footage to a comp first and then add the comp to the queue.

  • Writing commands to get specific data channels in the output report via script or automated script generation..

    In my project I have to make certain calculation and then get the data plotted in the given report template. I am using automated script for this. My script is doing all the calculations and then it not selecting and drag-dropping the selected channels on the report template. Its saving the blank report template.
    I am struggling to get the data for specific channels plotted by using the script. I need the selected channels to be plotted on this report template and then get it saved.
    Any help will be deeply appreciated. Thanks

    Hi LaxG,
    Brad is absolute right. It is possible to create your whole layout via script.
    If you have loaded  the example report layout you can copy these lines to create a new line in your plot. This is the recommended object oriented way.
    call Report.Sheets("Blatt 1").Objects("2D-Axis1").Curves2D.Add(e2DShapeLine, "anyName")
    Report.Sheets("Blatt 1").Objects("2D-Axis1").Curves2D.Item("anyName").Shape.XChannel.Reference               = "[1]/Zeit"
    Report.Sheets("Blatt 1").Objects("2D-Axis1").Curves2D.Item("anyName").Shape.YChannel.Reference               = "[1]/Geschwindigkeit"
    For performance reasons it's recommended to use the it like this.
    dim oLine
    set oLine = Report.Sheets("Blatt 1").Objects("2D-Axis1").Curves2D.Item("anyName").Shape
    oLine.XChannel.Reference               = "[1]/Zeit"
    oLine.YChannel.Reference               = "[1]/Geschwindigkeit"
    Like Brad mentioned it is much easier, that you have a stored template of your report with all setings and customisations already done.
    You open this layout file and have stored the names of your calculated channels. When you are doing this with a script they always have the same name and belong to the same group.
    Now you can customize the references of the line items.
    Kind Regards,

  • Muse,Page items slow to load - eliminate render blocking java script?

    Everything was running smooth until I tried to cut and past new items into master pages. Now I have master page items loading out of sequence and very slowly at that. I went to google's page speed insites and I scored a 72% with a reccomendation to "Eliminate render blocking java script in above fold content" as well as "leverage browser caching"
    Well... I have no idea what that means
    any idea how I can improve the performance of my page? I've already compressed the images significantly, I don't think that's the problem. Google talks about expirey dates on cache items being too low or non existant causing delays on pages, and setting priority over viewable items. Can I do this in Muse?
    you can view the site here
    http://batco.businesscatalyst.com

    I've actually been having the same problem - the interesting thing is that I've only really noticed it in the past several weeks (before, everything loaded fine). Could there have been a change in Muse in the way it's loading scripts that is slowing it down?
    Examples:
    www.karlchristiankrumpholz.com
    www.pawdnerscolorado.com
    On the second site, I can't remember if I crunched the images, but on the first one, I used Image Optimizer to crunch down all of the pngs prior to publishing. For reference, I'm publishing both sites via Business Catalyst; one using a free CC account, and one using a paid eCommerce account.
    I ran it through Google PageSpeed, and here's what I get:
    Eliminate Render-Blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold Content
    Your page has 1 blocking script resources and 5 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page.
    None of the above-the-fold content on your page could be rendered without waiting for the following resources to load. Try to defer or asynchronously load blocking resources, or inline the critical portions of those resources directly in the HTML.
    Remove render-blocking JavaScript:http://webfonts.creativecloud.com/bebas-neue:n4:all.js
    Optimize CSS Delivery of the following:
    http://www.karlchristiankrumpholz.com/StyleSheets/ModuleStyleSheets.css

    http://webfonts.creativecloud.com/c/c3d3d5/bebas-neue:n4.TGd:N:1/d
    Leverage Browser Caching
    Setting an expiry date or a maximum age in the HTTP headers for static resources instructs the browser to load previously downloaded resources from local disk rather than over the network.
    Interestingly, image size doesn't appear to be as much of an issue, according to PageSpeed:
    Properly formatting and compressing images can save many bytes of data.
    Optimize the following images to reduce their size by 30.3KiB (13% reduction).
    Losslessly compressing http://www.karlchristiankrumpholz.com/images/headerbackground.png could save 19.1KiB (22% reduction).
    Losslessly compressing http://www.karlchristiankrumpholz.com/images/laurel.png could save 4.9KiB (29% reduction).
    Losslessly compressing http://www.karlchristiankrumpholz.com/images/rebel_%402x.png could save 4.6KiB (7% reduction).
    Losslessly compressing http://www.karlchristiankrumpholz.com/images/karlheader2-u1353.png could save 1,019B (2% reduction).
    Losslessly compressing http://www.karlchristiankrumpholz.com/images/arrowmenudown.gif could save 707B (84% reduction).

  • Update and replace a index via script

    Hi everybody,
    I created a book with 30 chapters, each of them having a local (or chapter) index at the last pages.
    I would like to update these indexes and replace them with the new, updated ones (just as the command "Generate Index..."
    do with the option "Replace the Existing Index" on).
    I'm able to generate the index via script, but I don't know how to make it replace the existing one.
    I dont want the Place the Index, as its precise location is variable and it can run for more than one page and frame.
    So even I could get the coordinates of an existing index to place the new one,
    I would have the re-layout them, what would defeat my automation goal altogether.
    I just want to replace the existing indexes via script, as I can do using the interface.
    Is it possible?
    Thank you all in advance.
    Edson Furman
    [email protected]

    I'd like to re-ask the same question. I am able to generate an index for the first time, but am at a loss how to do the scripting equivalent of pressing the "OK" button in the following dialog:
    I'm guessing I should proceed something like this:
    myDocument.indexGenerationOptions.replaceExistingIndex = true;
    myIndex = myDocument.indexes[0].update();
    myIndex.generate( ? DO I REALLY HAVE TO SPECIFY A PAGE ETC. HERE ? );

  • Render and Email script

    Hello everybody. I have a question that I have thoroughly researched on the web with no results.
    I am trying to get the default After Effects "Render and Email" script to run properly. I have only been able to successfully send FROM one specific email address TO another (slightly less specific) email address. Most other email services I put in (icloud, gmail, etc) all give strange errors upon execution.
    For the SENDING email address, I'm currently using one I created that is a part of my web hosting account (this is the only account I am able to successfully send from). For RECEIVING, I've only successfully gotten my gmail address to work. All other receiving addresses don't always give me error, but also never show up. Either that, or I get very weird errors. The most common one I get is "Unaable to send mail. 533 5.7.1 AUTH command is not enabled."
    I haven't been able to find this error documented anywhere online. I'd like to be able to send emails to my icloud account, since it pushes email notifications to my phone in real time.
    Long ago someone by the name of Ko Maruyama supposedly explained all this in detail, but the writeup was posted on a .mac website (http://homepage.mac.com/komaruyama/Tutorials/AE/AE_javamail/AE_mail.html), which Apple officially discontinued/took down several years ago.
    Does anyone have any experience with this?

    For Mac, the path is of course slightly different. If you cannot delete the file, you should at least be able to edit it in Extend Script Toolkit or any text editor or run the script separately to change its config data. Works for me...

  • How to determine installed version of EMET via script?

    Hi all,
    I was not able to find a easy way to determine installed verison of EMET via script. If you can guide me in the right direction, this would help a lot.
    Many thanks
    Sam

    This is probably not the right forum for scripting questions and you didn't specify which script you (want to) use... Below you can find some examples...
    If you use VBscript you could use WMI and query the class Win32_Product:
    strComputer = "."
    Set objWMIService = GetObject("winmgmts:" _
    & "{impersonationLevel=impersonate}!\\" _
    & strComputer & "\root\cimv2")
    Set colSoftware = objWMIService.ExecQuery _
    ("Select * from Win32_Product where Name like '%EMET%'")
    For Each objSoftware in colSoftware
    Wscript.Echo "Name: " & objSoftware.Name
    Wscript.Echo "Version: " & objSoftware.Version
    Next
    This method is not advisable because the class isn't optimized for queries and therefore the query takes a long time!
    You can also use the Windows Installer object:
    Option Explicit
    ' Connect to Windows Installer object
    Dim installer
    Set installer = Wscript.CreateObject("WindowsInstaller.Installer")
    Dim product, products
    Set products = installer.Products
    For Each product In products
    if instr(1,installer.ProductInfo(product, "InstalledProductName"), "EMET", vbTextCompare) > 0 AND instr(1,installer.ProductInfo(product, "Publisher"), "Microsoft", vbTextCompare) > 0 then
    Wscript.Echo installer.ProductInfo(product, "InstalledProductName")
    Wscript.Echo installer.ProductInfo(product, "VersionString")
    End If
    Next
    Set products = Nothing
    Set installer = Nothing
    Wscript.Quit 0
    This method enumerates all the products but be aware that you should also check the installstate because the installstate of a product also can be advertised.
    You can also use powershell to enumerate the uninstall registry keys but you have take into account that the results may be different on a 64-bit Windows and the bitness of the powershell proces:
    gci "hklm:\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstall" | foreach { gp $_.PSPath } | select DisplayVersion,DisplayName | where { $_.DisplayName -match "^EMET*" }
    You can also install and use the
    Windows Installer PowerShell Module and use this command:
    get-msiproductinfo | where { $_.Name -like '*EMET*' } | select ProductName,ProductVersion  | format-list
    On the internet you can find a lot of information about your question. For instance I found these pages:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/heyscriptingguy/archive/2013/11/15/use-powershell-to-find-installed-software.aspx

  • Set filename of printed PDF via script

    Hi folks!
    I have a little problem with generating a PDF. First my Workflow:
    I have a InDesign document with 6 pages. This document is merged with a databasefile containing 100 records. After merging it, we have to generate a PDF file. This PDF file is opened within acrobat. Within the document, I'm searching for an ID each record has so I can split the document to 100 files (each with 6 pages) and name it by the ID I found.
    The script within Acrobat is finished and working. I thought, the InDesign script is finished ,too. But I was wrong -.-
    I merged the databasefile with the document and exported it as PDF. But after exporting, we noticed that the script within Acrobat isn't finding the adressheader where the ID is in. The script only noticed the text after that header. The result is, that Acrobat get's always "null" as ID
    If we print the PDF with our PDFprinter, the header could be read by our Acrobat script. I don't know why this is... But now I changed the script to print the files via our PDF printer. Unfortunately I can't set a name for my exported file - do you know if there is a possibility to print PDF's without prompting after each one and with a via script given name?
    Here you can see the old script for InDesign and right after it, the Acrobat sript. Maybe I made some mistake by generating my PDFexport and don't need to use the printer?

    Hi,
    I have a little problem with generating a PDF.
    Why you don't export 6-page PDFs directly from InDesign?

  • Bug: Setting "Don't include footnotes" via scripting doesn't change the find/change dialog

    Hi,
    Small bug, but can be confusing. Whether you write this line:
    app.findChangeTextOptions.includeFootnotes = false;
    or this line:
    app.findChangeTextOptions.includeFootnotes = true;
    ... you won't see any different in the little footnotes button in the
    find/replace dialog, even though the setting does work via scripting.
    More testing is needed to see what can be done to get the UI in sync
    with the setting...

    The dialog isn't updated while it's displayed. But hiding the dialog and displaying it again (twice Ctrl+F) shows that the script did do its thing.

  • Embedding full-text index via Script

    Hello Everyone,
    is there possibility to create and embed full-text index into my very long document via scripting Acrobat Pro? I've searched scripting API and there are objects like catalog or index, but both have only several methods and no embeding is mentioned there. Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    You're better off using a real authoring application like InDesign or Word.
    Thanks, but from this statement I am not sure if we are talking about the same thing. I mean index for full-text search - allowing to get immediate results after entering the search phrase, without any delay and (often quite slow) processing of the whole content. Now it is possible to embed it via Acrobat menu. I am asking whether this action has any equivalent in scripting API. I'd like to automate this process as now I have to do it manually via GUI (but luckily for the limited number of documents only).

  • Set text in template?

    I know that we can create templates that will set the fonts, caption types, etc. but I'm wondering if there is a way to set the text that Adobe automatically adds to the captions. For example, Adobe uses the language "SELECT this link" when clicking
