Repeating Table in Template -- Can't Edit It

Hi --
I created a template
http://www.practice.thelegatogroup.com/Templates/employee_list.dwt
) to be
used as a list of employees for a client. For the employee
list I used a
repeating table. All seemed to go OK when I created the
initial list of
employees
http://www.practice.thelegatogroup.com/employees/employees_al.htm
However, when I opened the page a few days later to add a new
employee I
couldn't. In fact, none of the controls (add row, delete row,
move up, move
down) work. To make matters worse, when I create a new page
based on the
above template I can add no new rows.
I've gone over things several times and can't figure out what
I did wrong.
Can someone take a look for me?

I have actually had a similar issue like this before and it was a simple fix once I figured it out.
Move the folder that is in the trash to your Desktop. Open it and then move the folder that is in there to the trash. You should be able to empty the trash. Next move the empty folder that you had put on the Desktop back into the trash and you should be able to empty it again.
Also, you should run an app like DiskWarrior, TechTool Pro or Drive Genius that can rebuild the volume directories.

Template - Can't edit in code view

Can anyone help? I'm using Dreamweaver 8 and have a very
basic template that contains one editable region. I've been getting
an intermittent problem with trying to make changes to the editlbe
region in code view (on pages created from the template.) I get a
long error message about the fact that I am trying to make changes
in code that is not marked as editable, but it IS in an editable
region. Seems to allow me to make changes in Design View - but some
of what I want to do needs to be done in code view.
I've built virtually identical templates before, and never
had this problem. Please let me know if you can spot the problem.
If I need to include the CSS let me know.

Does the page validate (
http://validator.w3.org)? Code
errors anywhere on
the page (even in the CSS) will cause these error messages to
be thrown.
Also, the proper syntax for comments is not this -

but rather this -

(note the spaces)

Personalized Template, can't edit added slides, only edit master slide

Hello Keynote Geeks!
I am counting on your expertise to help me with this challenge.
This is what happened:
1) I had a design company to create a personalized presentation template for my production company.
2) Whenever I try to use this template Keynote keeps insisting on only allowing me to edit master slides. Even after I added them to the presentation. This creates a dumb workflow in which I have to be duplicating master slides, editing them in the edit master slide menu and then adding them back to my presentation.

A "geek" means a clumsy fool, I would never call anyone this.
You are not using the correct method to edit items on a slide. Double clicking an object on a slide that is on the slide master allows editing the master object, it does not allow editing the object on the slide.
The correct procedure is:
add a new silide based on a slide master of your choise
to add a photo to the slide;   use a Finder window to drag and drop a file onto the image place holder
to add new text to a slide; click on the text placeholder once, then type in the new text
This assumes the master slide was created correctly by using media and text Placeholders.
To add a text placeholder to a master slide: add a text box to the master then change the font, size and colour
select the text box then:     Format > Advanced > Define as text placeholder
To add a Media Placeholder to a master slide: drag and drop any image file of the correct format (vertical or horizontal) on to the master
select the photo then:     Format > Advanced > Define as Media placeholder
close the master slide by clicking the blue Done button bottom right

Multiple tables and templates in a main window

Hi,
Is it possible to have multiple tables and templates in a main window of a smartform?
If so then how they are positioned in the main window? Means which table to come first and which to be the next?

both tables and templates can be printed any number of times ina main window.
The tables as in sequence are printed...after ending with the first it gets on to the another.
If u want to print it under some cdonditions you can do it using the condition tabs.As per it is a main window the dats gets flowing to the next page so as the order goes thae data goes on printed.

How can I edit a table during a presentation?

I'd like to use Keynote for a "game show" style activity at my school. I created a presentation in Keynote that contains one slide with a large table. During the presentation I would like to edit the contents of some of the table cells without going into edit mode and staying in the presentation slide show mode. I would like to click or double-click on a table cell and edit the text in the cell right on the slide during the presentation.

This is not possible in Keynote.
Keynote must be in edit mode, not play mode to add data to a table.
Adobe Flash Professional can do this but is not the easiest to learn how to use.

A work around using Keynote is to blank (black screen) the projector or colour display, enter the new data in edit mode then restart Keynote then unblank the projector again.

Where can I find website templates that are editable by both Mac and PC

I need advice as to where I can get a website template(s) that can be edited with BOTH Mac and PC. (I am on a Mac, the other person working on this same project is using a PC.) I am proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign for Print, but am a novice at websites. Where can I go to, to get a website template that both of us can edit simultaneously?

If you decide to use Dreamweaver, each of you will need a licensed copy for your particular operating system. HTML & CSS coding skills are essential.
Another option is to use WordPress. Neither of you will need software to edit the site because WP is installed directly on your remote server. All you need is an internet connection and a browser to log-in to your site.

Can you edit a host's provided templates in iWeb?

I am looking at Hostgator to host my simple business site. They have a ton of business site templates, but apparently you need some software (like FrontPage or DreamWeaver)to edit them. Can you edit these templates using iWeb? Are there other hosts with templates that are compatible with iWeb?

Download the templates you like and use the layout to re-create the page in iWeb. Drop the images on your iWeb canvas and rearrange them.

If I receive a document as a PDF or WORD Doc in an email, can I edit them. As in, if the doc is a template, how do I open it and fill the template in?

IBooks Author - can't edit text on customized template

I've created a template and saved it to My Templates. However, when I select a layout (a chapter or section) and place it into my book, I can't edit the text. Where am I going wrong?

I tried the above but still can't edit text.
I'm inserting a page and then changing it to 2 Column. It is linked to the first page. If the first page has enough text, it overflows into the new page and I can edit it.
However, I want the new page to be stand alone. So I remove the link to the first page. The text disappears. When I double click into either column, I can't add any text to this page. I have to add a text box into the column, which of course isn't going to overflow into column 2.
The strange thing is that I have another page a little further up that is also 2 Column. It is not linked to the first page but I can type text into it. This text will overflow from column 1 into column 2.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Dreamweaver Template: circle with diagonal line in editable region, but can still edit

Since upgrading to Dreamweaver CC 2014, for only one of dozens of clients, in a Template, I get a circle with diagonal line in editable region, but I can still edit it, I just can't click to the spot that I want to edit, I have to navigate there with the up down left and right arrows on my keyboard. And, I created a new Template and it didn't happen, until I "got" a file, and now it happens in the new Template too. What's going on?

I've set up a table in a pages document on my MacBook Air. I've shared the document to iCloud. I open the document in Pages on my iPhone, but can't edit any cell in the table. I can select a cell but my only option is to paste. The iPhones keyboard does not display.

Restore from a previous backup. There is no way to roll back a restore other than using a backup made fprior to that restore.

going to be used by some authors who will just be entering some
text in a table. So i thought using the template>Repeating table
option might be good to try.
All went well until I noticed that after they enter a couple
rows of text, and they want to sort the table. If they go to
Commands>Sort Table. you get an error
'Sort Table command cannot be applied to this table'..
Is there no way to sort a table that uses the repeating table
template option?

I guess not. Never occurred to me to even try that....
