Replicat delay

The replicat process is delayed. But I do not know why.
1) The replicat mapped only one table.
2) Throughput of the table is 2.7~3.0 million dml(update / insert ) in 1hour
     -the rate of update and insert the same.
3) Total CPU usage is about 50%
4) the table no trigger
i thought cause is amount of data
but  see below
insert
update
no delay day
1456323
1459947
delay day
1434552
1247757
The pattern is similar to the data generated.
What is the cause.. please help..

pump process does not delay.
What do I need to check?

  • Nsslapd-state automatically switching from backend to referral on update

    Hello,
    I recently separated 4 instances of DS5.2 which used to be on the same machine on 2 different servers (one master & one slave by server).
    The first master is working well (including replication on all 3 other instance) but the second master always switch is state (nsslapd-state) from 'backend' to 'referral on update' and never replicate on other LDAP's instances.
    I first think of a backend's data problem and try to copy backends from the first master to the second (with binary copy, ldif2db, bak2db, ...) but wihtout any result.
    Then I delete my replication agreement and recreate them but without anymore result.
    I don't understand why it isn't working (and the 2 servers are binding each other because the first master's replication works well);
    Please help me !!!!!
    Julien

    There is one button which is available on the right pane after master is initialized, under:
    "Data" -> "sufix dc=XYZ,dc=com" -> "Replication"
    I don't remember the name on the button but it is someting like "start accepting updates".
    Read the following two topics at
    http://docs.sun.com/source/816-6698-10/replicat.html#14962
    * Convergence After Multi-Master Initialization
    * To Begin Accepting Updates Through the Console
    To Begin Accepting Updates Through the Console
    Follow these steps to explicitly allow update operations after the initialization of a multi-master replica:
    On the top-level Configuration tab of the Directory Server console, expand both the Data node and the node for the replicated suffix, and select the Replication node below the suffix.
    In the right panel, the console will display a message indicating that the replica has been initialized and is currently returning referrals for update operations. If this message indicates the automatic referral delay is enabled, you may still follow this procedure to override the delay.
    Use the insync tool to ensure that the replica has converged with all other masters. Replicas are in sync if the delay between modifications on all servers is zero or if the replica has never had any changes to replicate (delay of -1). For more information, see "insync" in Chapter 1 of the Sun ONE Directory Server Reference Manual.
    Click the button to the right of the message to start accepting update operations immediately.

  • IDELAY_CTRL vs multiple idelay ctrl blocks

    Everything I find on here and via google says that one only needs to instantiate a single idelay_ctrl block and multiple iodelays and "the tool" (meaning the vivado router/bitstream phase) will automatically replicate delay controls as needed.
    However, when we do this with one delay_ctrl and 2 iodelays, we get a routing error (part of the pathnames replaces with ..... here):
    CRITICAL WARNING: [Route 35-54] Net: core_i/......../rx_deser_clk_gen_xilinx/bit_clk_idly is not completely routed.

    Phase 3.1 Initial Routing Verification | Checksum: eebb0a98
    It says critical warning, which ultimately doesnt' route:
    ERROR: [DRC 23-20] Rule violation (RTSTAT-1) Unrouted net - 1 net(s) are unrouted. The problem bus(es) and/or net(s) are core_i/......./bit_clk_idly.
    Since it's unclear what the requirement is and what is not allowed here, I don't know what to do about this.   We've tried various IODELAY_GROUP variations, setting one delay_ctrl per output group, etc, with different errors each.
    Any hints or pointers appreciated.  I'm happy to do something more manual, since the automatic version doesn't seem to work.

    I don't think this has anything to do with the IDELAY_CTRL. It seems to be telling you that the net frmom the IDELAY to the BUFR and BUFIO cannot be routed (so you can stop messing with the IDELAY_CTRL and IOGROUPs).
    Now the question is whay can't it route these nets...
    To drive the BUFIO and BUFR, the connection must come from one of the four clock capable pins in a bank, and be connected through the IDELAY in that IO directly to the BUFIO and BUFR in the same bank. No other connection is legal. So, make sure
       - your clock input is on a clock capable I/O (MRCC or SRCC)
       - you are not trying to LOC the IDELAY - let the tool place it with the clock input
       - do not LOC the BUFR or BUFIO
       - make sure that all the loads of the BUFIO are in the same bank as the clock capable pin bringing the clock in
       - nothing driven by the BUFR is LOC'ed outside the clock region that the clock capable pin is in
    If all of these things are correct, then I don't know why it would be having trouble with these nets.
    I think the tool still generates a DCP even with a failed net - so you should be able to open the design and look at the net (which will show as a logical net instead of a placed one) and the source and destination cells...

  • Anyone having issue with email notification delay in ES4?

    After upgrade from ES2 to ES4, we're experiencing an email notification delay when a task is assigned to an individual or group queue. It's not consistent, but happen enough that we can some what replicate it. It's almost like an email notification from task assignment wouldn't send through until we kick off another process or claim another task. This happens with server default email notification as well as custom email notification. Please advise how I can go about trouble shooting this.

    This is what in the log at the time I ran the test process & email notification delay occured. Again, the email notification delay wasn't the issue when we were in ES2, until we upgraded to ES4 recently. The delay happens spontaneously, no specific pattern. Sometimes it'll arrive instantly and sometimes it will delay. However, when the notification delay occur, if I kick off another new process, the notification will come through.

  • How to speedup Goldengate Replicat during busy time

    both db version is 11.2.0.3 on linux redhat
    Target tables replicate normal during slow time, however last weekend, there are a lot activities on the source, then target lag up to 5 hours . We checked error log, reports , no errors on both source/target.
    after weekend, the lag finally cleared out because weekend is getting slow.
    How do we improve this?  How to speedup replicat during peak hours.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    1. Use of @Range Functions
      Golden Gate has a feature to split the data in the schema using @RANGE function. It preserves data integrity by guaranteeing that the same row will always be processed by the same process group. @RANGE tends to split data uniformly, similar like hash partitioned tables.
    2. Asynchronous COMMITS
      Replicat performance can be further increased by modifying the way of goldengate commiting the transactions on the target database. Defaultly, Oracle GoldenGate will wait for the transactions to get committed before allowing the session to continue. This is called a Synchronous Way. This leads to unnecessary delay or latency in the replicat side.
    To over come this we can configure the Replicat Processes to commit aynchronously at sessoin level by including the following SQLEXEC statement in each parameter file.,
    SQLEXEC “alter session set commit_wait = ‘NOWAIT’”;
    Nothing to worry about this during the database crashes or any problems, GoldenGate will automatically replay the uncommitted transactions using the Checkpoint Table, following the database instance crash recovery.
    3. If you are using the ASM, then use the DBLOGREADER parameter in the TRANLOGOPTIONS.This ease the access to the ASM. Now, via an OCI API, GoldenGate reads the redo and archived logs from the DB server, increasing Extract performance over the former PL/SQL API. There is therefore no need to specify the TRANLOGOPTIONS ASMUSER option when specifying DBLOGREADER.
    4. You can even use the below parameters to increase the performance.,
    DYNAMICRESOLUTION DYNAMICRESOLUTION is an Extract and Replicat parameter that causes the object record to be built one table at a time, instead of all at once at process start up. A table’s attributes are added to the record the first time its object ID enters the transaction log, which occurs with the first extracted transaction on that table. Record-building for other tables is deferred until activity occurs.  DYNAMICRESOLUTION is the same as WILDCARDRESOLVEDYNAMIC. NODYNAMICRESOLUTION causes the object record to be built at startup. This option is not supported for Teradata.
    With WILDCARDRESOLVE IMMEDIATE source tables that satisfy the wildcard definition are processed at startup.  With WILDCARDRESOLVE DYNAMIC source tables that satisfy the wildcard definition are resolved each time the wildcard rule is satisfied. Do not use this option, instead use the BOTH option, if:    SOURCEISTABLE is specified   Some source tables are specified with wildcards while others are specified with explicit names.  WILDCARDRESOLVE BOTH: Combines DYNAMIC resolution and IMMEDIATE resolution. Source tables defined by name are processed at startup (IMMEDIATE), and wildcarded source tables are processed when GoldenGate receives the first operation on them (DYNAMIC). This allows new source tables (that satisfy the wildcard) to be added after.
    Regards,
    Veera

  • Multiple Replicat -Transaction consistency

    When using the the @RANGE function to divide the processing workload among multiple Replicats do we have the transaction commit orders preserved.If one REPLICAT is ahead of the other could it cause data inconsistency ?
    For example, the following splits the replication workload into two ranges (between two Replicat processes) based on the ID
    column of the source account table.
    MAP Source.Account, TARGET Target.account, FILTER (@RANGE (1, 2, ID));
    On the source we have the following order.
    1)Update accounts set balance='NEGATIVE';
    2)Update accounts set balance='ZERO';
    3)Update accounts set balance='NEGATIVE';
    4)Update accounts set balance='POSITIVE';
    When we split the transactionS based on the Hash-value of the primary key and if we have 1,2 Assigned to Replicat1 and 3,4 Assigned to Replicat2 and if Replicat2 finishes before Replicat1 there will be data inconsistency.
    Can we preserve the commit order when using Multiple Replicats.

    hi,
    When using the @RANGE to split up transactions it is always possible that one replicat is quicker then the other one(s).
    This can result in the operations being applied in a different order then in the original transaction.
    But this "inconsistency" will only be for a very very short moment (unless one of the replicats has a huge delay, or is stopped)
    In your example you are using the ID field to calculate the hash value for the @RANGE function.
    As long as this ID field stays the same, the same record gets processed every time by the same replicat, so when the replicats are finished, the data is the same as on the source, no inconsistencies
    regards,
    Eric

  • RAC data propagation delay?

    Hi Experts,
    I have a multi-threaded app that connects to a RAC DB using OCI.
    Flow:
    1.) Get an expired resource
    2.) Assigned it to a user
    Each thread executes the following sequence of queries:
    1.) SELECT id, data FROM table_name WHERE date_expiry = :min_date AND rownum = 1 FOR UPDATE;
    2.) UPDATE table_name SET date_expiry = trunc(sysdate) + 30, user = :user WHERE id = :id
    3.) COMMIT;
    -- :min_date is always <= trunc(sysdate)
    I expect that each row will only be assigned to a unique user.
    Apparently, this is not the case. It seems that some threads can still get a row even after the date_expiry has been updated.
    Is there a data propagation delay between RAC nodes?
    If there is, a thread can fetch a row even after another thread have updated it if the threads are connected in different nodes.
    This is the only reason I can think of.
    I tested this many times on a stand alone DB, but I can't replicate the error.
    Please help!
    BTW, our oracle version is:
    Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - 64bit Production With the Partitioning, Real Application Clusters, OLAP, Data Mining and Real Application Testing options

    A better method would be to use something like a dispatcher/thread manager that hands out the work. So instead of each thread trying to discover what work needs to be done - and running into concurrency issues - the manager process picks up a batch of work to be done and distributed that amongst threads.
    Simplistic example. The thread manager fires of the SQL to find work and bulk fetches the 1st 50 rows. It closes the cursor, caches the 50 rowids and fires off 10 threads to process the 1st 10 rows. Each sleeps for a few seconds, wakes up, checks the thread number, finds that 8 threads are still busy and fires off 2 more threads to do the next 2 rowids. Repeat. When the cache has been processed (or when it is down to the last 10 rowids), the manager finds the next batch of work to do.
    The key design issue is not to have threads competing to find work. As this means competing for access to the same resource, and potential serialisation issues - threads stepping on one another's toes and getting hurt.

  • Externally trigger hr2000+ spectrometer with dg535 delay generator

    Hello all,
    I have three Ocean Optics HR2000+ spectrometers, an Ultra 100 laser, and a Stanford Research Systems DG535 delay generator. I'm using the delay generator to trigger the laser, shortly followed by the 3 spectrometers (all 3 simultaneously).
    I've managed to get this procedure working in SpectraSuite and tried to replicate it in LabView using the HR2000+ LabView drivers. The spectrometers have individually worked in normal and external trigger mode in LabView, but as soon as I try to fire and sync all 3 spectrometers using the delay generator, LabView staggers their waveform acquisitions to happen one at a time. This defeats the purpose of the delay generator.
    I tried using a flat sequence structure to make sure the integration times and triggering modes have executed before the waveform acquisitions begin with no success.
    The attachment shows my code before I had a flat sequence frame between the trigger and waveform acquisition functions.
    The delay generator has been controlled both manually and through LabView as well. I'm using a Win 7 machine.
    Thank you for any help!
    Sincerely,
    Mike

    Hi Daniel,
    Attached is the driver I used.
    My code looks more like the Acquire Multiple Waveform VI under the Example folder.
    Are you suggesting I do something similar to the Acquire Continuous Waveform VI?
    Everything works up until the simultaneous part, and it also works one spectrometer at a time.
    Thanks!

    Well, I've been playing Habbo, a very nice and chatty game, for a long time and all of the sudden.. I've been having EXTREME DELAY and I know what the problem is, but I don't know how to fix it. I only have this issue with certian flash websites. I am able to play games on the games sites I have visited fine, and most flash works fine.
    However on Hulu.com, after loading a flash video, I notice that when I scroll down the page to look at comments, the cursor simply disappears. I can find it again when I mouse off the page. It happens consistently on hulu after I have unflashblocked a video. (I use the flashblock addon.)
    Just now I went to hulu and the mouse disappeared and froze for 5 seconds when the page loaded. I had created a Guest Account but apart from this I am not able to replicate the terrible behavior with firefox/flash/hulu, but I have not spent much time using it. I don't know if Flash Block has anything to do with this behavior.

    Since the MBP software update does not seem to have resolved the issue of the keyboard "skipping" or "delaying" letters as I write, I wonder if this problem has somehow been fixed in the newest MBPs. And if so, whether it's been determined that it is a logic board issue, in which case I may bring my MBP back for replacement.
    Thank you for your help!

    good question... searching these threads and on google will tell you all sorts of stories...
    a lot of people are convinced it is a hardware problem, which it could be, but I do not experience delays or intermittent issues and/or missing first letters all the time, particularly not in Windows Vista (which is unfortunately not a good sample enough to quantify, I rarely use Vista on my Mac).
    I have noticed no issues via my wireless bluetooth keyboard, mind you (perhaps a hint at the improper hardware under the laptop keyboard?).
    As some users have reported, having the keyboard replaced might changed the results, but it is a wild guess, since some still have the problem...
    Basically, this issue is far from resolved, is absolutely irritating, and has been known for a while. Another problem is that visiting an Apple Store may induce the humiliating experience of not being able to replicate the issue... I have brought mine in and some super nice Genius dude wrote about two paragraphs in TextEdit non-stop without even one single mishap... How embarrassing.
    He did believe me though, whilst he also claimed he had never heard about the issue. He offered to replace the keyboard in the laptop and the USB controller managing inputs and feedback from it, thinking like me that it could be anything between USB, keyboard, or the connections between them that might be faulty (an hypothesis raised many times over these discussion boards).
    I'm still unconvinced, and have not made a move. Mind you, I have a 3-years Apple Care coverage, and I could wait until three years from now if I wanted to, the way it works... This Mac I have is almost 3 months old, and I'm very sad I installed Leopard too, by the way. It is waaaaay slower than Tiger...
    Anyhow, I still wait on the software hypothesis, and hope for a patch... (one that works, that is, some other keyboard issues are "supposed" to have been fixed).
    Patience is a virtue, and I can't really lose my computer for any number of days, I need it every day for work and studies, and no, using another computer in the meantime is impossible (I have some hardware-locked data and programs that are more expensive than all the Macs I have owned together... And they are, hmm, involved in a sensitive sector of information...)

    Dr Sly

  • When useing Adobe Flash in for example youtube. The player will get more and more delays when using the player tools untill firefox freezes for about 10 sec.

    After freezing the player's delay will be reset to 0. I can replicate this "crash" by just moving my mouse on the youtube progress bar and see the delay building up. This only happens when firefox is my main window.

    hello, there are some reports by users that comodo products might not work well with the protected mode for firefox that adobe has introduced in its flash plugin since version 11.3.

    please make sure that firefox.exe, plugin-container.exe and FlashPlayerPlugin_*.exe aren't blocked or sandboxed in any way by your security software or in case this doesn't work either try switching your AV provider (I'd recommend microsoft's security essentials, it is quite reliable and lightweight) or [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/flash-113-doesnt-load-video-firefox#w_solution-2-downgrade-flash downgrade to flash version 10.3].

  • Delayed send task issue

    I have a user that is having a weird issue. If he sets up a task with
    a delayed send, the task shows up instantly. I cannot replicate this
    in my account, as if I do a delayed send on a task, it does not show up
    until after the time I select for the send.
    Running gw2012sp2 on win7 64 bit, server end is on sles11sp2/oes11sp1.
    Any suggestions?

    Have you tried your account on his PC? Have him try to reproduce on
    another PC. Does the issue follow the user or the PC?

  • Preview of loops has effect on it (digital delay)??

    Previewing my drum loops (all music loops actually) ... I'm picking up digital delay. Where is it coming from?
    When I drag the loop to the arrange window the effect is still there ... even though there is no effect assigned to that particular audio track.
    I'm just getting up to speed on this Logic update. So I'm at a loss. Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you.
    Ben

    Aha!!
    This is only happening when I am using the beat mapping. I have a piece of audio I've 'beat-mapped'. Now I want to add a loop to it. But the loop previews, and the loops when I add them to the audio track, have some weird digital delay effect on them.
    This isn't happening if I'm NOT doing a beat map. Everything is normal.

  • Huge delay in Printing Crystal Report Layout

    Good Day Experts,
    I am experiencing big delays when printing a document that makes use of a Crystal Report Layout Design.
    For example,
    The Sales Quote is set to automatically print when added by the user.
    When clicking 'Add', SAP freezes up and only about 30 seconds later does the printer finally print the document.
    During that time, the user cannot use SAP at all.
    The layout does have a lot of fields and a few formulas here and there.
    Logically, I am thinking that that is the reason for the delay, as SAP needs to calculate and populate those fields.
    Is there any other way that I could speed up this process? Or if you know what might be causing this speed issue?
    Your assistance will be appreciated,
    Thanks
    Regards

  • To delay a program submitted in background from another transaction.

    Hi All,
    There are 2 programs 'A' and 'B' . During execution of 'A' , 'B'  is called and submitted in background using FM Job_open & Job_close and submit query.
    My requirement is to Delay the Program 'B' by 2-3 mins without delaying Program 'A' .
    I tried using FM JOB_OPEN export condition sdlstrttm   = w_starttm but was of no help.
    I also tried using statement wait up to 120 seconds but this also makes wait to program 'A'.
    Please suggest solutions to this.
