Report 9i like PDF  instead of CSV

Hi,
i'm launching my report (on ORACLE 9iAS) on the web and even if i had set up in the form
DESFORMAT = DELIMITED
and even if i had set up in the report
DEFORMAT = DELIMITED
when i call my report from the web i obtain a PDF file....
but when i try to launch my report from report builder i obtain the delimited file
So, i had look in all the properties of my report but i haven't found this property "wrong" setted...
May be a problem with the web server???
Before ask to the administrator of the web server i'd like to be sure that i don't make any error...
Thanks in advance..

Are you running from forms ?
It has to be
desformat=delimited
May be you are doing something else wrong.
Pls have a look at forms-reports integration whitepaper (link below) which explains the process in detail
You can also post the reports running code here so that anyone can take a look

  • Display report directly to PDF instead of when user selects that

    Hi, We have a requirement where we want to export report directly to PDF when user runs a report. We have a Java application where parameter screen for Crystal reports is displayed. When user clicks process button after selecting parameter then a new ReportViewer window appears. Right now after running report user selects export option to export to PDF. They want to open report directly to PDF instead of opening report / selecting export option.
    We have Crystal reports saved in BOXI R2 SP3 on IIS.  We are using .NET SDK to do this.
    Thanks,

    You can export and stream directly using RAS.

  • Call and Save Reports/Export to PDF using Dataplugin?

    Hello,
    My dataplugin is for various '.csv' files, and works perfectly when reading and loading the files. But, what would really be nice is if I could then somehow bring the data in those files into their appropriate report templates and then export that report as a '.pdf'.
    So, I tried adding:
          Call DataFileLoad([Filepath],[Script]
          Call DataFileSave([Filepath], ".TDM","TDM")
          Call Report.LoadLayout([Report Path])
          Call Report.Sheets.ExportToPDF([Path to save .pdf] ,False)
          Call Report.Refresh
          Call Data.Root.Clear()
    When I test the dataplugin by manually indexing a file, I receive the error: Variable is undefined: 'DataFileLoad'"
    So, if it is reading it as a variable does that suggest that it does not recognize functions unless they are stated in the sub?
    Is it possible to do what I would like it to do?
    Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi Kevin,
    DIAdem does not provide scheduling services, so some entity needs to tell DIAdem to start.  You can either manually set up a DIAdem to poll for files to pricess in an endless loop, or you can use the Windows Task Scheduler to launch a DIAdem instance periodically that automatically looks for files to process for a certain duration (after which it shuts itself down to avoid any potential long term memory leaks).
    R&D is interested in improving our offering for this use case, but as of DIAdem 2014 we do not have anything new available.

  • Print Quote the report is in PDF but need to be new RTF template

    We have 11.5.10 apps, the Quote screen is an OAF screen.
    When clicking Print Quote the report is in PDF, They want to include a new RTF template for printing instead of PDF.
    The new RTF template is created. But what I do not know is how the quote screen will take the new template. I can use XMLP to upload the RTF template but that may not be sufficient to make it appear in the Quote screen.
    I am looking at the profile ASO:Default Layout Template. Am I headed the right way?

  • Open a PDF report from a PDF report

    I would like to open a PDF report from a PDF report, but in a new IE window.
    I have the following code attached to an item in the report:-
    function F_RECONFormatTrigger return boolean is
    begin
    IF trim(:btch_ref) = 'PL' and trim(:recon) is not null and trim(:recon) <> ' ' then
    srw.set_font_weight(srw.bold_weight);
    srw.set_font_style(srw.underline_style);
    srw.set_text_color('blue');
    srw.set_hyperlink_attrs('onMouseover "window.status="Click here to see what is in your shopping basket"; return true"'||'onMouseout ="window.status=" "; return true"');
    srw.set_hyperlink('/reports/rwservlet?cmdkey=famis+desformat=pdf+report=FAMREP011+p_orderno='||trim(:recon));
    srw.set_hyperlink_attrs('target=_blank');
    -- srw.set_hyperlink_attrs('target="_blank"');
    END IF;
    return (TRUE);
    end;
    All of the commands work except for the 2 srw.set_hyperlink_attrs commands. The "onMouseover" and the "target" seem to have no effect. Can anyone help?
    Thanks in advance
    Michael

    The built in srw.set_hyperlink_attrs does not work , if the report format is PDF. There is no way to open another PDF report from a PDF report in a seperate window. Also think there is no way to hide URL which apperars when the mouse pointer moves over the hyperlink.
    In other report formats like HTML, the built in srw.set_hyperlink_attrs works.

  • Printing report output in PDF format

    Hi,
    I want to know what are the settings needed to print a report output in PDF format, while executing the report from Oracle applications (Ver 11.5.6).
    Report is executed as a concurrent request from Oracle applications.
    Normally when we run the report from Oracle applications, output will be opened in a internet browser(IE) in HTML format. But I want the output to be opened in PDF format instead of HTML.
    OS: Sun Solaris 2.8.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sarish

    Hi Sarish
    Please contact Oracle Support for an answer or to customise your application so that it prints a report output in PDF Format.
    To get PDF output you must run report/job with DESFORMAT=PDF in the command line instead of DESFORMAT=HTML/HTMLCSS.
    Regards

  • Is it possible to import a pdf instead of a jpg to put in the base "photo layer?"

    Is it possible to import a pdf instead of a jpg to put in the base "photo layer?"
    I start with a pdf document convert it to a jpg
         mark it up in ideas
         then finish up with a marked up  jpg document
         then reconvert it back to a pdf
    I can only use jpgs in ideas. Converting the pdf to a jpg and them re convert it back after marking it up but this seems like an awfully round about way of doing things especially as it should all be inhouse adobe products .
    An alternative would be to use adobe reader to mark up the document, but this does not allow me enough control as compared with marking it up Ideas, particularly with layers and control of the tools.
    What I am trying to do is mark up and scribble over my architectual CAD drawings which are exported as a pdf document.
    Any one got any bright ideas?
    thanks
    Brian C.

    Hi Brian,
    Saving as PDF it is not currently possible.I created the following feature request on your behalf. Please add your vote and any comments you would like see included
    http://forums.adobe.com/ideas/1973
    I also considered recommending Adobe Debut, it is currently only available on Android and might only work if you presenting the markup data from the tablet itself. You can import a multi-page PDF and add markups to the various pages and present the document to someone from the tablet, not sure if that would be useful for you or not?
    Another consideration:

    Hi Yye,

    ı want to print aoutomatically with my channel and group.
    I can see from your code that you are a beginner. Your coding style is very Labview no-no. But well every Labview pro have some time been a beginner I have some problems understanding or grasp the essence of your problem. Can you post your failed attempt to use rapport generation. It would help in the understanding of your problem.
    Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted
    (Sorry no Labview "brag list" so far)
