Report Performance plase help

Hi
MY report is base on the view wihich is a based on 10 unions of select statments. I am trying to improve the performance.
I am planing to remove the view completelty and base a report on the SQL.
Please see below ffor view structure
create view XYZ
SELECT
'SOU' GATE_KEEPER
AD.Address,
Ad.ctiy,
Pu.phone,
sa.lcn_code
FROM x,y,z
WHERE
GROUP BY
UNION
SELECT
'DEM' GATE_KEEPER,

AD.Address,
Ad.ctiy,

Can I do something like this in report
IF
GATE_KEEPER= 'SOU' then execute
SELECT
'SOU' GATE_KEEPER
AD.Address,
Ad.ctiy,
Pu.phone,

WHERE
GROUP BY
elsif
GATE_KEEPER= 'SOU' then execute

Looks like you need to create report parameter for the gate keeper, and a lexical parameter for the table froom which it should be picked. But first try replacing UNION to UNION ALL everywhere in the view.
