Request Final UEFI builds be included to prevent confusion

Hi guys,
Can we also include final UEFI builds posted as well?
For instance, for [Z87-G43 GAMING] UEFI Bios Versions [E7816IMS.Axx Versions] https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=177198.0
The last post (05-August-14) has E7816IMS.A50 ==> E7816IMS.A62,
but if you check at MSI, they have E7816IMS.A60 Final, posted 2014-07-21. (http://www.msi.com/support/mb/Z87G43_GAMING.html#down-bios)
What do you think??

Right now, we are short on time to update beta section on a regular basis. I added the official in this case with fpt flash prepared archive for using the forum tool: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=177198.msg1312108#msg1312108

.102 is the normal vbios and .112 is LN2.
Decompress the provided .rar archive with Winrar: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Then flash the desired file included with Nvflash for dos: http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/nvflash_download.html
To do so rename the included file to .rom and create a dos bootstick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0)
Put nvflash and the vbios file on it and boot from the stick. Then type nvflash -4 -5 -6 gop.rom (if renamed vbios that way) and hit enter. Confirm the questions and let the tool flash.

  • Request: GOP/UEFI vBIOS - MSI N670GTX-PE2GD5/OC

    Good day!
I'd like to request GOP/UEFI vBIOS as stated. Details are below.
    S/N: 602-V284-030B1208192127
    Current vBIOS: htt**://mega.co.nz/#!vY5FSLRA!itk06jjrJOxtKb-7rrSqMblJ3dUfr-8uhtSoN0kGru0
Q1: I'm running an SLI setup (2 different brands). Do i need to flash both or is it enough if i flash the one in first slot for UEFI to work?
Q2: Even if i flash just this card (my primary concern is updating this card with latest bios, since there are some issues with it), i guess it doesn't prevent SLI from running properly ?
    Thanks !

Can't really identify your current vbios. Did you read the S/N from the card or box?

Both need to use a UEFI vbios else it doesn't work and of course you can't use the vbios of the MSI card on the other brand's card. So you'll ask the other brand for an update too.

SLI will work fine as before. You just can't enable UEFI mode using just one card with a UEFI/GOP vbios.

  • Remove danger of using a request parameter in a JSP:include

    HI,
I have a basic include where the filename is controlled by a request parameter:
    <%String fileName = request.getParameter("param1")+".jsp"; %>
<jsp:include page="<%=fileName%>" flush="true" />This works fine but I am rather worried about the security as some can easily edit the URL to something like this:
    http://www.mysite.com/include.jsp?param1=../../../passwords
Does anyone have any good security techniques that would strip out anything in param1 that could potentially be rather dangerous?
    Thanks

Check/test the request parameter before using. Best way is to use a (controller) servlet for this.

  • Is or will Extension builder be included in Creative Cloud ?

I'm planning to be a member of Creative Cloud and want to know if the subscription to CS Extension Builder is included in the monthly fee for Creative Cloud and if yes, how to handle the change as I'm currently being invoiced for Ext. Builder.
    Thanks,

Captivate is not part of the Creative Cloud for the English versions, so I doubt it will be the case for other languages. There is a subscription possible (pay/month).

Unique question, perhaps, here. Do you know where I can obtain the original ROM for this card? My RAID array failed shortly after I flashed it, and my computer hadn't backed up yet. So while I did make a copy of the original ROM using NVFlash before I flashed the new one, I lost that copy when the array failed. :(
you can use your own that we requested:

  • File name collision during build that includes Report Generation toolkit. How to correct?

When I switched to LV 8.6 (it's also in 8.6.1) I started getting a file name collision warning when building an installer that included the Report Generation toolkit. The executable works, but I don't like to leave warnings uninvestigated. I don't understand 1) why it's happening now and 2) what it's recommending for the fix. Here's part of the actual warning it gives.
LabVIEW prevented a file name collision during the
build. Duplicate file names cannot be copied to the same destination. You can
rename files as part of the build process to avoid name conflicts.
The following files were moved to a unique
    location:
    C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW
    8.6\vi.lib\Utility\NIReport.llb\Append Control Image to Report.vi
    C:\Program
    Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.6\vi.lib\Utility\NIReport.llb\HTML\Append
    Control Image to Report.vi
    C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW
    8.6\vi.lib\Utility\NIReport.llb\Append File to Report.vi
    C:\Program
    Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.6\vi.lib\Utility\NIReport.llb\HTML\Append
    File to Report.vi
    C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW
    8.6\vi.lib\Utility\NIReport.llb\Append Horizontal Line to Report.vi...........

    Hi GS,
The architecture of the Report Generation Toolkit was changed in LabVIEW 8.6 to utilize LabVIEW Classes.  As such, there are some warnings during an EXE build because the class VIs have identical names.  Classes were not used in the toolkit in LabVIEW 8.5 and previous...that's why you didn't see any warnings during the build until now.
Your EXE should still function properly, and you shouldn't have to change anything about your build.  The purpose of the warnings is to let you know that the duplicate-named VIs needed to be handled differently during the build.
