Request Response (database) biztalk Error hadling

best was to handle exceptions working with Request Response port ? hitting database.
1) what properties should be set in Scope shape ?
2) what should be set the Transaction type of Orchestration ? when to use Long Running or None ?
3)does on ReqResp SP, transmitted set to true works ?
MBH

Well, you've already answered your own question, use an Exception Block.
What exactly do you mean by 'no response'?  There are two realistic possibilities, A) a timeout occurs or B) no result set is returned.
(A) is an error condition and the exception will be raised back to the Orchestration and caught in an
Exception Block.
(B) is a real possibility depending on how the SP is coded.  The operation technically completes correctly, but no result is considered by the caller to be an error condition.  This you would have to test for.
If the database code silently fails, as you describe, that is not your problem.  The owner of the Oracle app has to fix that since you can't know if an error occurred or not.
You have to try these things.  It's not possible to offer any more meaningful advice because exactly what you have to do is completely dependent on how your Oracle instance behaves and what the business case considers an 'error'.
Please, set it up and try different scenarios against Oracle and tell us what happens.  If something doesn't work or doesn't meet expectations, please open another thread for that specific issue.

    I am new in this area. Thanks for your help.
    I met a problem when I install a portal server. The error always happens at the sentence 'return super.getContent(request,response)'. The system works well in another computer.
    Would you please tell me what probably causes it. The following is error messages:

    What could be the case is that the bytes you are writing to the PrintStream are still buffered, by calling flush any buffered output bytes are written to the underlying output stream.
    Also do not forget to close the PrintStream. http://docs.oracle.com/javase/1.5.0/docs/api/java/io/PrintStream.html#flush()

    what does these mean?? Does this have any effect on replication?? thank you ...

    These messages indicate a loss of connectivity between the replication agents. This could be due to one some kind of failure (e.g. network issue). If the messages are infrequent and replication is otherwise working okay they are not a big cause for concern though if I were you I would check the network etc. for anything abnormal.

  • Crystal Reports: Unexpected database connector error

    Hi experts,
    I have a Web Module DC that uses JSP to show Crystal Reports. In my report I use POJO as datasource. The POJO itself is a JPA entity and is located in other EJB Module DC that has dependency with the Web Module DC. At design time everything looks fine and I can retrieve the data I need from other EJB Module with Session Beans but as a result I see the following error: "Unexpected database connector error". The architecture is the following:
    SessionBean EJB Module----
    |
                                                       >>dependency to >> Web Module DC with Crystal Reports
    JPA Entities EJB Module----
    |
    And in my report as datasource I use entity from the JPA EJB Module. And the source in my jsp is the following:
         Object object = null;
         try {

    Hi Penchal,
    What is the backend database? Are you using ODBC or JDBC connectivity for your backend DB engine?
    Make sure to have the required jars for your connection type inside your applications lib directory.
    Does it happens with all the reports?
    What happens if you do not change the datasource, are you able to view reports fine.
    As you are using Crystal reports for ecllipse runtime libraries to build your jsp, you would need to post your dicussions in the below forum to get better response.
    http://scn.sap.com/community/crystal-reports-for-eclipse
    The above space is dedicated for the issues with crystal reports for ecllipse.
    Thanks,

  • View the webservice soap request/response

    Hi,
    I am in wls81sp4. I have some webservice developed in workshop. And I created webservice controls for them. When the webservice is called in jsp, I couldn't see the request/response soap message on wls console even though I set -Dweblogic.debug.webservice=true -Dweblogic.webservice.verbose=true. I have another webservice, the client is the proxy, and I can see the message on console.
    How can I see the message from calling the control? Thanks

    HI Ronald,
    To get the SOAP Fault into your orchestration:
    1) On the Send port in BizTalk:
       a) WCF Adapter Properties, Messages tab: Propagate Fault Message = true
       b) WCF Adapter Properties, Messages tab: Inbound message body: Either use "soap:Body" or use a path that extracts your message OR /*[local-name()='Fault'] to get the SOAP fault
       c) "Enable routing for failed messages" - this has no impact on the SOAP Fault. So you probably want it set to true to handle real transmission errors (non SOAP faults).
    2) On the Send port within your orchestration
       - Select the operation & then "New Fault Message"
       - Set the message name to SoapFault (or whatever)
       - Set the message type to be the referenced schema: BTS.soap_envelope_1__2.Fault. (If this was a SOAP 1.1 operation you would use BTS.soap_envelope_1__1.Fault).
    3) In the Scope around your Send operation
       - Add new exception handler
       - Select "Exception Object Type" to the port-name.operation-name.SoapFault you created in step 2
       - Specify the object name, e.g. Fault
       - Fault is now the XML of the SOAP Fault & you can use XPath to get the Fault Reason and Message elements.
    Refer:
    How to catch and process SOAP faults
    MSDN has explained the process in detail:
    Using BizTalk Server Exception Handling. You can blindly follow it.

  • Request Response : Direct bindings

    Hi all,
    I want to expose a schema as a webservice in BizTalk, but my orchestration instead of having a
    specify later port bounded to my receive location, it's bounded
    directly to the message box how can i handle that by consuming the message request
    and sending to the same Receive location my response message ?
    It is possible in BizTalk to use a request response port in direct binding mode ?

    Thank's for your reply. But you didn't explain how to route the response message to the same receive location. If you try you will get an error because no subscribers are identified to consume the response message.
    There must be a mechanism to implement, but i do not know how ?
    And without adding a filter just configure the request part to the message type exposed and it is done.

  • Crystal Report throws Unexpected Database Connector error

    Hi,<br>
    <br>
    We are using Crystal report 2008 CR4E API to implement the crystal report in our application. We use the below code to reset the report data source with our application data source. It works fine for most of the simple queries. But if the query contains any function defined in the SELECT Clause it throws Unexpected Database Connector error. As per the log and analysis we believe the root cause of the exception is it consider that function as column in the table and throws the SQL Exception that "function is Invalid Identifier". Could you please help in resolving this issue?
    <br><br>
    Code:<br><br>
         Tables tables = clientDoc.getDatabaseController().getDatabase().getTables(); <br>

                        newTable = (ITable)origTable.clone(true);<br>
                        newTable.setQualifiedName(origTable.getAlias());<br>

    i'm also getting the same error when i'm trying to call stored procedure (that will fetch the result set and populate the report) through the query in the report-viewer.jsp. The result set is fetched i.e. when i print the result set it shows on tomcat but it is not getting passed to Table object to populate the report. However when i try to give the query explicitly in the form of SELECT statements, it works fine i.e. i can view the report in the browser. But giving query in the form of SELECT is a very naive way and is ok if u have too less reports not requiring too many joins, thats why i was using stored procedure. Any help would be appreciated.

  • How do I fix the Database Organizer Error when using Acrobat 9 Pro on desktop PC with Windows 8.1 and 64-bit OS?

    After loading Acrobat 9 Pro on my desktop PC (Windows 8.1; 64-bit OS), opening and closing a previously saved pdf file, I constantly get a message pop-up that indicates a "database organizer" error.
    How do I fix this?
    I have read multiple responses at various forums and they do not seem to apply, or have not worked for others, with regard to the details of my version of Acrobat and Windows OS.
    I'm beginning to think that the only solution is to purchase the latest version of Acrobat Pro and install it on my PC, which, of course, I would prefer not to do, unless this is my only viable option.
    Can this problem, specific to my version of Acrobat and Windows OS, be fixed or is the simple answer:  purchase the latest version of Acrobat Pro, because there is no fix for my version of Acrobat/Windows OS?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi All,
    I had this problem today myself, and was frustrated repeatedly by the '4002' error.
    I have literally just fixed the issue by doing the following steps:
    1: Go to the 'Store' tab and select 'Turn Off iTunes Match'
    2: Return to the 'Store' tab and select 'Update Genius'
    3: Wait for this to complete succesfully, the return to the 'Store' tab once more and select 'Turn On iTunes Match'.
    4: iTunes Match will now go through the motions and should succeed!
    I hope this helps

  • ReportClientDocument throws - Unexpected database connector error

    Hi,
    We are getting a weird exception in Websphere 6.1 server when we try to open a crystal report using ReportClientDocument object. It is throwing an unexpected database connector error when we try to change the datasource of the report. It would be great if some one can help us with the solution.
    Code:
    ReportClientDocument reportClientDocument = new ReportClientDocument();
    reportClientDocument.open(REPORT_NAME, 0);
    Tables tables = reportClientDocument.getDatabaseController().getDatabase().getTables();
    ITable table = tables.getTable(0);
    reportClientDocument.getDatabaseController().setDataSource(resultSet0, tableName0 , tableName0+"_ResultSet");

    It appears that you are trying to pass a resultset to the report, only things i can think of is, either the jar file needed for that type of connection is missing, or maybe the app servers are using different versions of java which causes it to act differently.

  • Unexpected Database Connector Error - Help please !!

    Hi,
    I am trying to use stored procedure in the crystal report, that comes bundled with RAD7. The following code I got from http://diamond.businessobjects.com/node/520 for using the stored procedure. I am getting 'UnexpectedQueryEngineError' on JRCCommunicationAdapter when trying to establish data connection to add the stored procedure to the report. I tried the same example above for adding table to the report by modifying 'Procedure' to 'Table' and it worked fine.
    I really need to use the stored procedure in the report and get to have this working soon. Immediate help is greatly appreciated.

  • Unexpected database connector error---- Error code:-2147467259

    Hi, I am using Crystal Report for Eclipse 12.2.208).
    My rpt file contains a command with a simple sql query
    In eclipse I used this rpt and generated the Jsp file to export the report to Pdf format
    But exception is thrown in the following line of Jsp
    //Push the Java ResultSet into the report (this will then be the datasource of the report)
    CRJavaHelper.passResultSet(clientDoc, fetchResultSet(driverName, connectStr, userName, password, query), tableAlias, "");
    CRJavaHelper.java
    clientDoc.getDatabaseController().setDataSource(rs, tableAlias,tableAlias);
    While replacing the result set I am getting the following error.... Please help me on this.
