Restrict Search Results E-Recruiting

Hello experts,
regarding our project(EHP4) we have the requirement to hide candidates within the quick search.
The problem is  that the HR structure is based on decentralized HR Departments.
This means HR Deparment1 should not be able to see candidates which have applied to HR Department 2.
At the moment it is possible to see ALL candidates within the quick search.
Any inputs would be of great help!!!
Many Thanks!
Marco

Hello Marco,
There is BAdI HRRCF00_SEARCH_HIDDEN_INFO which you can use to add there as additional hidden information field for example the department ID. Then you can say for the quick search when to show that candidates and in what case others.

  • Restrict Search results in Transaction FPP3 Business Partner

    Hallo,
I need to restrict the search results in transaction code FPP3.
When an end user calls the transaction code 'FPP3' and in the left side of the screen makes a search for Business partner based on what ever selection cryteria, standard program finds the values and gives the result on ALV grid.
My problem is I need to check if user has right authorisation to look at Partner and if  not delete the partner from Result table. I have treid by implementing events 'SERC1, SECR2 and SERC3'  in BDT and implemented the BADI to masK the fields which is not right solution.
Can anybody please give me Tip or an Example how I can solve my problem.
    Thank you and Regards
    Ravi

    Hi Komal,
you can you this in the following way: IMG -> ...-> Treasury and Risk Management -> Basic Functions -> SAP Business Partner for Financial Services -> General Settings -> Business Partner -> Basic Settings -> Business Partner Roles -> Define BP Roles -> select those BP roles you intend to hide for the selection in F4 -> choose detailed view -> look for the fields group 'General data' - > select the checkbox in the field 'Hide'.
one note - as those BP roles are used in other SAP modules as well, make sure, you are not making the incorrect settings in this area.
    hope this will help you.

  • Restrict Search results not to Show custom Pages

    Hi,
I have 10 Pages . The pages are like this :
    http://site/file/Pages/abc-thank-you.aspx
    http://site/file/Pages/cod-thank-you.aspx
    http://site/gog/Pages/ghf-thank-you.aspx
    http://site/file/Pagesdiv-thank-you.html
I don't want these pages to appear in search results. I am thinking Crawl rule regex should work. I have tried lots of combinations but none of them work. Please help

You can use Meta tags in the web page to exclude them from search index. FAST Search for SharePoint 2010 will respect Robots Tag
The "NAME" attribute must be "ROBOTS".
Valid values for the "CONTENT" attribute are:
INDEX - Index the Page (Default)
NOINDEX - will not Index the Page
FOLLOW - Collect URLs from this Page. useful for SiteMap page to collect all URLs. (Default)
NOFOLLOW - Will not collect URLs from this page
Add any one of below META tag inside <head>
    <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, FOLLOW">
    <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="INDEX, NOFOLLOW">
    <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW">

  • Restricting views of search results in E-recruiting

    Hello Experts,
I have a requirement in my project to restrict the visibility of search results when users run search queries to look for applications. The system should be masking the applications of the user's reporting managers, directors or VPs when they apply for internal job postings or anyone above the hierarchy level in the Org structure. There is no structural authorization provided in TREX search by SAP. I understand that the talent pool is a global talent pool with all internal and external applications, but I need to cater to this requirement somehow.
Any inputs would be of great help!!!
    Thanks
    Srini.

    Hi srini,
i am not really getting the concept of your requirement.
Candidates cannot see other candidates applications. Managers only see the applications forwarded to them so it is no issue to restrict anything as it would be HR task to controll forwarding candidates but still how often does it happen that a hiring managers superior is applying to a job below the manager as managers usually hire subordinates.
So only recruiters are effected. On centralized recruiting organizations recruiters would not be allowed to see applications of hr manager hierarchy - ok might be an issue, while all other departments are no problem. From my experience this is usually handled outside the system exactly because of the problems implicated by that.
In decentralized hr organizations we have a similar situation like in the managers case. the decentalized recruiter is working for an department so he only handles applications for this department. Employees in higher hierachy levels will probably not apply for the job the recruiter is responsible.
Could you please give some more background information on what you exactly try to achieve, this will probably help to answer your question.
Known points in the e-recruiting application I met in my projects were the listed applications in data overviews for the same candidate. Managers should not see that an internal applicant has applied for several other positions over the time so he treats all applicants equally and managers won't start chatting "hey bro, I saw mr. xy already applied in your department last month, you did not hire him, what's wrong with that guy? is he stealing copy paper?". but this can be easily handled by propper data overview design.
Another difficult issue is the candidate overview were a recruiter can see all applications of a candidate. Here the reason is also equal opportunities for all internal candidates. Trouble here is the difficulty that hiding results in the loss of information which prevents internal overbidding (a candidate who has two offers on two applications in the same company using this to push salary offers). This one is tricky and has to be decided very carefully.
But as you see both cases are dealing with applications of the same candidate not a candidate in general.
So please check if you can give some more details on the requrements.
    Best regards
    Roman

  • Using "Restrict by app" in change query causes issues with Search Results

    Hello!
I am hoping some experienced SP admin can help me out. I am having issues with the relevance ranking for my search results web part.
I created a Wiki (OOTB) within a site collection and on the home page of the Wiki I was looking to apply a Search Box and Search Results web part for easy searching. I wanted to ensure the search results were restricted to the scope of the pages within the
wiki. I did the following after adding the 2 web parts:
Entered edit mode for the page
Started to edit the Search Results web part
Under Properties for Search Results clicked on "Change Query"
Navigated to BASICS and clicked "Switch to Quick Mode"
For Select Query, picked "Wiki (System)" option
For Restrict by app, picked "Specify a URL" and input the wiki URL "http://webapp.com/sites/sitecollection/wiki"
    Click OK
The web part has 6 automatic results when I hit the page. These are the only 6 pages in my wiki. When I search a word or title of a page, they are not ranked in order or relevance. The ordering is static to what was being shown before the search, but the
keywords I'm searching are bold. With out the taking the steps above, I can easily search these pages and have them ranked appropriately so I'm not too sure what I'm doing wrong.
    Other Details
The pages have been crawled and can be searched from anywhere else in SP.
I am only a site collection admin for this specific site collection.
I other than the steps above, I have not made any changes or customization to the search web parts; they are both out of the box SP.
The SP Farm admin we unable to pin point what the root cause is either.

    Hi Mikael,
Sorry for the wait, I was unable to post pictures, which i felt would better describe my issue.
Could you output the query template you are ending up with?
If you can tell me how to accomplish this, then I can provide it. Please keep in mind that I am only a site collection admin.
Also, is the ranking/sorting for your webpart set to ranking?
When looking at the web part settings, I didn't see an option to modify the ranking. Unfortunately, some sites in my intranet are down now so I can't even double check. Once it's back up, I will verify this as well.
And how do you know they are ranked incorrectly?
I wanted to display an image showing what I meant by this. As the wiki is down, I'll do my best with words. When I visit the wiki home page, I already have the search and search results web parts there. Without searching anything, the search results
web part displays 6 pages that are available in the wiki. When I search, I expect to see the most relevant result at the top. similar to the following:
*Search result from another section of the intranet site.*
What I receive instead is the same list of wiki pages, in the same order. The most relevant result
is not moved to the top like in the image above, but I can see that the word "rush" is highlighted in bold. I hope this helps.
If you need more of a description, please let me know.
    Thank you

  • Restrict BP search result based on BP role

    Hi experts,
Is it possible to restrict BP search result list based on the BP role i.e. users should not be able to see BP's with prospect role in the search result list.
I am able to control create, change, display using auth.objects CRM_BPROLE / B_BUPA_RLT but unable to restrict the search list. Any hints would be really helpful.

    Hi Anup,
Thanks for the reply. For the time being we are using authorization groups instead as a workaround solution. Haven't tried the BADI though. Thanks again.

  • Restrict search help results on order types

I need to restrict search help results on the account assignment category  for order type for the users when creating a SC. I have define fix values on the attributes PM_AUART & ANR & KNT (Order type, Order & Account assignment category) and maintained the related others PM attributes as well. But when I select the search help the system brings up all the Orders type and not the ones defined at the user attributes -  PM_AUART (Order type). Do I am missing something? How can I restrict the search help when searching for order types?
    Your support is highly appreciated.

  • Increasing the Number of Candidate Job Search Results in E-Recruiting

    Hello,
Would anyone happen to know where to go to increase the number of candidate candidate job search results in E-Recruiting?  It's default value is set as only allowing 10 jobs per page.  If you want to display more you have to click the down arrow.  How would I allow it to show, say 25, or maybe 50 per page?
Any help you can provide would be appreciated!
    Thanks Ryan!

Thank you Sandra for your reply,
I tried the following combinations in table T77RCF_UI_PARAM
    Name                           Param.type                            Parameters
    hrrcf_unrg_srch             MAX_VISIBLE_ITEMS             25
    hrrcf_unrg_srch             VISIBLE_ROWS                     25
    hrrcf_unrg_srch             SEARCH_POSTINGS             25
None of which increased the number of hits that appeared on the page.  The value still remained at 10 per page.
It would appear that somewhere in the result_list.bsp view for hrrcf_unrg_srch that this is being set.  If I view the methods for class CL_HRRCF_UNRG_SRCH_HL_RESULT_V I find three that would appear to be relivent:  PREPARE_HITLIST, GET_HITS_PER_PAGE and SHOW_HITLIST.  However, I am having trouble tracking down where the default value of 10 hits per page is being set at.

  • Problem when retrieve the result search in e-recruiting

    Hello All
There is something curious when I try to retrieve the result of a search in e-recruiting. For example, when I try to create a requisition and I have to find the Hiring Manager, the result search is empty.
The funny thing is if I loggin in English into the portal, the searches work fine. (I always have to loggin in Spanish).
Some one know why this occurs
    Thank a lot
    Kind Regards

    Hello,
Candidates entered through the Manual Application Management are blocked from search ecause they have not read and confirmed the data privacy statement for the company i.e. HRP5102:PRIVACY_STATUS. What you can do is notify the candidate that an application was created and send them the username and explain that they can get a password then update their profile and release so that they can appear in search.

  • Restrict F4 search results for specific plants / sales org / purchasing org

    Hello All,
We have a project where a particular plant / sales org / purchasing org needs to be restricted because of the top secret data for that business.  We would like to be able to restrict the search results that are displayed based on sales org / plant / purchasing org in the F4 help.  If a user does not have access to the data / documents related a plant / sales org / purchasing org, we do not want the user to be able to see doc numbers, ship-to's, material numbers etc... My question is where do we restrict F4 results for the Sales and Distribution, Finance, Materials Management, Production Planning, Logistics, etc... modules?  Thanks in advance for the help.

We can set authorization for specific plants and other organization levels, contact the basis team and discuss about the authorization

  • Restrict spotlight search results for pdfs

I have a great number of academic papers in pdf format. Each paper has a title, an abstract, main text and a number of references. By default spotlight wouldn't distinguish the difference between these portions. But when I type the title of paper, papers that cite that paper also shows up, which is annoy, because I actually only want to locate the paper that has the title. I'm wondering if there is a way to restrict searches in only title, abstract, main text or references in academic papers of pdf format.

Using a Finder search (command-F), which also uses Spotlight, you should be able to tailor your searches to file names as well as extensions, or other criteria.

  • How to display the search result without reloading the whole page

    HI,
I have separate fragments for Search Box to enter keyword and Search Result to display the result. Also I have different sections within the page to put these fragments. So how could I display the results without reloading the whole page.
Also if I have next button in my search result area, how could I display the search results in next page without reloading all other sections present in our page. Please let me know if any service or idoc function present such that result could be shown in search result section without reloading whole page.
Please let me know how to restrict page reload for every action within a page.

This is default behaviour of the template of your space. You can create a new page template and than you can create a region for the search results.
Or you can create a custom taskflow were you use the webcenter taskflows to search for the space.
Take a look at this white paper:
    Extending webcenter spaces: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/webcenter/pdf/owcs_r11_extend_spaces_wp.pdf
    and this one:
    Customizing site templates: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/webcenter/pdf/owcs_ps1_site_template_wp.pdf

  • Search Results Query Text - Get all data, Exclude all list data except one

    Hi Experts,
I have a situation wherein in the global search of our internal site, we have to display all results & restrict any list item except one list. Earlier we had restricted /Lists/ & People to be displayed in the results.
But in the new search results I have to display results from only one list along with other results (documents, sites, pages etc).
Below is the original query text entered in the Search Results Query Text editor
    {searchboxquery} -contentclass:STS_List_Links
    -filename:allitems.aspx  -Path:/articles/Pages/default.aspx
    -filename:DispForm.aspx  -Path:/Lists/ -Path:person.aspx
I have tried various different queries with AND, OR operator. I have researched other blogs, sites over google. But unsuccessful. I am sure this is not a rare requirement. Need your expert help.
I have tried this query also...
    {searchboxquery} (-filename:allitems.aspx -Path:/articles/Pages/ -Path:/Lists/ -Path:/PublishingImages/) OR
    (+(+Path: /Lists/ArticleContent/ AND +filename:*.aspx) AND
    -(-Path: */Lists/* OR -filename:*.aspx))
    Vighnesh Bendre
    MCTS
    http://markviky.blogspot.com

    Vighnesh,
You should have success using the following:
    {searchboxquery} -contentclass:STS_List_Links -filename:allitems.aspx  -Path:/articles/Pages/default.aspx -Path:person.aspx ((-filename:DispForm.aspx  -Path:/Lists/) OR Path:/Lists/ArticleContent/)
Two things from your original query were excluding list items from your results, your exclusion of file
DispForm.aspx and path Lists.  By using "OR" in the above query, we're creating an exception to also allow items under
Lists/ArticleContent to be included in the results.

  • Sharepoint 2013 bing search results

I have integrated bing search to my sharepoint 2013. Its returning results but i am facing two issues.
    1) The bing search is always returning only 8 results
    2) I want to get results for only particular website and i have used following query. But its always returning 8 results and first 3 results are website related and rest 5 results are not related to the site. If i use same query in bing site search
text box its returning results properly. Any idea why the sharepoint bing search is returning results differently?
    query.QueryText =
    "tender|road Site:http://www.kenha.co.ke/";
    Thanks

Hi - Thank you for your reply. We dont have proxy server and i tried the steps mentioned in your blog now i am getting 10 results. Is there any setting i need to enable to get all the results or sharepoint restricts the results automatically? I
could have attached screen shot but its not allowing.
And my second question is how to restrict bing results to one website. The following query param restrics the search to Kenha when i search in bing directly. But when i search from sharepoint its returning mixed results.
    "tender|road Site:http://www.kenha.co.ke/";
    Thank you for help

  • MSS Employee Search results

    Hi All,
Just wondering if any one knew if the standard delivered MSS > Team > General Information > Employee Search (a.k.a OADP) shows separated/withdrawn/terminated employees as part of search results. I just separated a couple of employees in our development environment with PA40 only to find out that they are still showing up under direct repots.
If this is indeed a  standard behavior is there any way to filter the search results to display only active employees without having to customize OADP configuration?
    Thanks,
    Winston

you can do so in ESS STAT2 settings in table T77S0
    ie
SAP Customizing Implementation Guide > Personnel Management > Employee
    Self-Service > Service-Specific Settings > Address Book > Who's Who >
Who's Who (ESS): Refine Employee Search
If you wanted to restrict the search to all active employees, you would
need the next entry on table T77S0:  ESS STAT2 3
You can get further information about Organization Chart iview on the
    next link:
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/43/69acffed1b30f3e1000000
    0a11466f/frameset.htm
    . The Function
module      HRXSS_ORG_GET_ORGCHAR intern calls Function module
EVAL_INITIA which filters and select the per.nos and send to the
front end; and same list is being displayed ; and also the search query
/SAPQUERY/HR_XX_PA_ESS also plays an important role.
