Retriving value from Pie chart to hidden field using onmouseover event

Hi,
I am Vaibhav. I have create Pie chart on EMP table. Pie chart query is as follows,
SELECT 'javascript:onmouseover=$x(''P25_DEPTNO'').value='||deptno||';popupURL(''http://www.google.com'');' LINK,
deptno, COUNT (empno)
FROM emp
GROUP BY deptno
On mouseover on Pie chart i want to get value of deptno column but from above query i am not getting the value of deptno. So how should I get value of deptno on mouseover event on Pie chart.
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Vaibhav

Hi,
I can get it to work with:
SELECT 'javascript:onclick=$x("P24_DEPTNO").value='||deptno||';popupURL("http://www.google.com");' LINK,
deptno, COUNT (empno)
FROM emp
GROUP BY deptno That is - using onclick instead of onmouseover.
See: http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=9568:24 - the Select list is updated as you click on a slice in the pie chart

  • Display three Values in Pie charts

    Hi All,
I want to display three Values in Pie Chart(%, Value and one more field). Please suggest me any solution for this.
For Eg Pie chart should display value lie this :- Nokia, 25,025, 38.52% (It consists of three differet values)
    Thanks,

I am not sure if you could get the concatenation to work.
But here are some ideas (please post if you get the solution):
    - Take a look at the list of other formatting options based on the following link:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/xml-publisher/blog/xsltext/10134/oracle/apps/xdo/template/rtf/XSLTFunctions.html
    - Another alternative is to customize the class file : oracle/dss/graph/SliceLabel.class located in bipres.jar
You would need to customize it to do what you need.
    a) Modify this one so that it is used by the BIP Server
    C:\OracleBI\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\applications\xmlpserver\xmlpserver\WEB-INF\lib
    b) Modify this one so that it is used by the Client : MS Word AddIn:
    C:\Program Files\Oracle\BI Publisher\BI Publisher Desktop\Template Builder for Word\jlib

  • Access the X-axis value from Flash Chart

    Hi,
Is there a way I can access the X-axis value from Flash Chart to populate a report in another page? My X-axis is not a direct column in the table it is computed in the query.
X-axis is MON-YEAR computed from the Begin_Date column. I want to capture the MON-YEAR clicked by the user to populate a report for that Mon-Year.
    Here is my chart SQL.
    select 'f?p=&APP_ID.:18:&SESSION.:::::::' link,
    to_char( "VIEW"."BEGIN_DATE",'MON-YYYY') label,
    sum(decode(TYPE_Id,2,Value,0)) "Value-1",
    sum(decode(TYPE_Id,1,Value,0)) "Value-2"
    from "VIEW" where to_char( "VIEW"."BEGIN_DATE",'MON-YYYY')= to_Char(sysdate-100, 'MON-YYYY')
    group by to_char( "VIEW"."BEGIN_DATE",'MON-YYYY'),
    to_char( "VIEW"."BEGIN_DATE",'YYYY')
    order by to_char( "VIEW"."BEGIN_DATE",'YYYY')
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

  • SAP BO XCelsius : Drilldown from pie chart to raw data ( Excel Spread Sheet) in Xcelsius

    Hi,
I am working on a dashboard where my requirement says, Drill down data from Pie-Chart to Raw data ( Excel Spread sheet).
Clicking on one pie should show me the required data in Excel format
May I know if this is possible to create from Dashboard design tool SAP R4
    Thanks
    Javeed

    Hi Javeed,
Drilling data from pie charts is very much possible. The data drilled down can be shown either in spread sheet format via components called "Scorecard" "List View". But if its specified that you need the current data drilled down to a separate excel spread sheet only then, you may need to use the third party components for it.
There are many such components available for free. There are components available which are paid as well. You will have to find out which ones are free. Check out the threads below.

  • How to show negative value in Pie Chart from Webi?

I have below example data, I want to convert this to a pie chart in Web Intelligence, my problem is after I convert it to a pie chart, the revenue '-30' is shown as '30', looks like the pie chart is not suppor the negative value to show, I want to know if there is any workaround or solution to make the pie chart to show the negative value? Is this behavior is by design? do we have any official document to explain this?
The product I used is BOE XI 3.1 SP3.
    Department    Revenue
    A                      100
    B                       -30
    C                        80
Edited by: Alex Wang on Jul 13, 2010 5:51 PM

Why are you showing this information as a pie chart? It doesn't make sense to try and display a negative slice in a pie chart. I can't really think of a logical way to try and draw a negative slice in a pie chart. With a pie chart you will need all your information to either all be positive or all negative, otherwise it doesn't work.
What you need is to have a bar chart, with positive and negative values on the y axis.

  • Mouse Over Value in Pie Chart

    I have two questions -
    1. How do i restrict the no. of decimals in the Mouse Over values for Percentage in a Pie Chart ? The numeric values i can control but the percentage (which the system calculates) seems to be set at default two decimal places.
    2. While displaying the labels even though i am using the ouside end, inside end etc options - i can't seem to control the overlapping of a few labels. Offsetting is something that i need to do by hit and trial. too slow. and not all need to be offsetted. Can i selectively offset for a data point ?
    Please help....Cheers...

    Hi:
For question1, do you mean the "Data Label->Percentage" right? I think the "Mouse-Over Values" could be set decimal places easily from  "Appearance->Text->Mouse-Over Values", but for "Data Label->Percentage" there is no direct way to show its decimal places. You can use "Label" component to build your percentage you like manually.
For question2, if all position setting could not fit your need, you can also use label component to build your custom Data Labels.

  • Add Option of choosing values from list in "Person Responsible" field of Cost Center Master

    Dear All,
Could anyone advise me how can I add the option to Choose Values from list to field "Person Responsible",
in Cost Center Master Data ?
The Technical Name of this field is VERAK, and currently it is an open field.
I would like to allow the user to choose values from existing list.
    Thank you!
    Orly

    Hi Orly,
You have take it to your ABAPer, who will have to modify the attributes of CSKSZ-VERAK field in CSKSZ structure. ABAPer will have to define it with foreign key and introduce the name of the table, which will be used for deriving the available values. No standard table exists for it, but you can either create your own Z-table or take it from users table (USR02) if you have the necessary information there. Of course, this action would account for modification of standard SAP structure.

  • How to Display result value on Pie chart in wad

  • Pass Parameter from JSPF to JSP hidden field?

    Hi :
I got a problem here. This is the scenario, There's a pop-up JSP page which import a jspf file. In the jspf file, I'll add several value to an array. When user click on OK button on the jspf file. I need to set the array to a hidden field in the jsp file.
    I'd try to use
    window.opener.document.getElementById("hiddenLabel").value = arrayInJspf
but it's not working at all. So I just wonder can anyone gv me some hints on how this can be done? Thanks.

You'll need to use some kind of formatting to dump an array in a single formfield. I usually do something like this:
    5|10|14|50|50000
This would be an array of 5 integers. When the data is submitted, I can get the array back with the String.split() method.

  • How to present percent and value in pie chart?

    Hi guys,
I tried to present both percent and value in a pie chart in web intelligence. I've looked over data value setting but still no luck. Can we request this feature to be available in the next SAP BO platform upgrade.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    You can try this .
    1)
Add 2 Pie charts in your Report (Align top
    & Left Same Size ) .
    Set Background Color Transparency 0%
Set Data Value Presentation value for 1 st (Outside)
    Percent for 2nd (Inside)
Make size of the pie as per the value presentation  .

    HariKan

    Hi HariKan,
Per my understanding that the Category group of the pie chart which will retuen many values so that the label will overlapping and you want to know is any method to deal with this kind of problem, right?
In Reporting Services, when enabling data label in par charts, the position for data label only have two options: inside and outside.
In your scenario, I recommend you to increase the size of the pie chart if you insist to choose the lable inside the pie chart as below:
If you choose to "Enable 3D" in the chart area properties and choose to display the label outside, the label's layout will be more clear:

  • Remove dropshadow filter from pie chart?

    Hey all,
I would like to remove the default dropshadow filter from the default mx pie chart. I tried to set the pie chart's filters property to an empty array.  I also tried to set the 'series filters' prop to an empty array, but have no luck?? I tried searching through the documentation, but didn't find much info on this. Anyone know how to do this? Here's what i've tried.
    with AS,
    myPieChart.filters = new Array();
    myPieChart.seriesFilters = new Array();
    and, inline
    1)  <mx:PieChart filters="[]" ...>
    2) <mx:seriesFilters><fx:Array /></mx:seriesFilters>
    BTW, using Flash Builder 4

Have you tried setting filters = null?

  • Drilling down to CLM report from pie chart developed with Xcelsius

    Hi All,
We have a requirement about drilling down to CLM side report upon clicking on the piece of pie that is developed using Xcelsius.
1)For Example, below is a pie chart(developed through xcelsius) showing the information about the agreements expiring in certain period. We have placed it on the user workbench.
Upon clicking on any piece of a pie, it should navigate to the detailed report showing the details of the master agreements.(as below)
Can anyone please help in achieving this through Xcelsius?
2)Is it possible to include any URLs in the list view(in Xcelsius), so that we could open the master agreement from it?
    Thanks,
    Vennela

Well I assume A1, B1 are same reports with filtering on A and B.
If this is the case make one report and say the filter(A or B) is prompted and when you click in the chart it goes to the report filtered by A or B depends on where you click.
