  • User command is not getting triggered in interactive ALV with LIST display

    Hi experts,
    I have developed an interactive ALV report with LIST display. Here, the issue is, when i double click a record in the primary ALV list, the control must go to the USER COMMAND event which i have written in my report. But the user command event is not getting triggered at all when i double click any record.
    It gives the following information instead.

  • Alv output- download to excel file

    Hi
    I have ALV report. My requirement is
    For example i have 10 records in my ALV output.
    I want to download first 5 data to excel file.
    so i need to select the data and click the button download in alv screen. I created the download button in ALV screen.
    how to write coding for this

    Hi Kumar K,
    U can do it by feeling another internal table from the final internal table which u displayed...
    suppose u want the record 5 to 12 then
    LOOP AT itab FROM 5 TO 12.
    Append itab to itab2.
    ENDLOOP.
    So now Itab2 contains record 5 to 12...
    Logic:
    Create one Custom Button ... Now For Sy-ucomm of that button... provide popup window with FROM and TO parameters...
    Then using Loop... Endloop... select that much records form internal table to another internal table say itab2...
    Now using GUI_DOWNLOAD or WS_DOWNLOAD or any other FMs and pass the internal table to this FM...
    For more information on LOOP Syntax...
    LOOP AT itab - cond
    Syntax
    ... [FROM idx1] [TO idx2] [WHERE log_exp].
    Extras:
    1. ... FROM idx1
    2. ... TO idx2
    3. ... WHERE log_exp
    Effect
    The table rows to be read in a LOOP-loop can be limited by optional conditions; if no conditions are specified , all rows of the table are read.
    Addition 1
    ... FROM idx1
    Effect
    The specification FROM is only possible with standard tables and sorted tables. This specification only accepts table rows starting from table index idx1. For idx1, a data object of the type i is expected. If the value of idx1 is smaller or equal to 0, then it will be set to 1. If the value is larger than the number of table rows, the loop is not passed through.
    Addition 2
    ... TO idx2
    Effect
    The specification TO is only possible with standard tables and sorted tables. The specification only accepts table rows after table index idx2. For idx2, a data object of the type i is expected. If the value of idx2 is smaller or equal to 0, then the loop will not be passed. If the value is larger than the number of table rows, then the value will be set to the number of rows. If idx2 is smaller than idx1, then the loop is not passed as well.
    Addition 3
    ... WHERE log_exp
    Effect
    WHERE can be specified with all table-types. After WHERE, you can specify any logical expression log_exp in which the first operand of any singular comparison is a component of the internal table. For this reason, all logical expressions are possible except for IS ASSIGNED, IS REQUESTED and IS SUPPLIED. Dynamic specification of a component through bracketed character-type data objects is not possible. Loops at sorted tables must have compatible operands of the logical expression. All rows are read for which the logical expression is true.
    Notes
    The logical expression specified after WHERE is analyzed once at entry into the loop. Possible changes of the second operand during loop processing are not taken into account.
    While with standard tables all rows of the internal table are checked for the logical expression of the WHERE- addition, with sorted tables and hash tables (as of Release 7.0) you can achieve optimized access by checking that at least the beginning part of the table key in sorted tables and the entire table key in hash tables is equal in the logical expression through queries linked with AND. Optimization also takes effect if the logical expression contains other queries linked with AND with arbitrary operators.
    Hope it will solve your problem..
    Thanks & Regards

  • Using ALV function with tables

    Hello Everyone,

    You need to use the transaction UCCHECK.
    The report documentation is here
    ABAP Unicode Scan Tool UCCHECK
    You can use transaction UCCHECK to examine a Unicode program set for syntax errors without having to set the program attribute "Unicode checks active" for every individual program. From the list of Unicode syntax errors, you can go directly to the affected programs and remove the errors. It is also possible to automatically create transport requests and set the Unicode program attribute for a program set.
    Some application-specific checks, which draw your attention to program points that are not Unicode-compatible, are also integrated.
    Selection of Objects:
    The program objects can be selected according to object name, object type, author (TADIR), package, and original system. For the Unicode syntax check, only object types for which an independent syntax check can be carried out are appropriate. The following object types are possibilities:
    PROG Report
    CLAS Class
    FUGR Function groups
    FUGX Function group (with customer include, customer area)
    FUGS Function group (with customer include, SAP area)
    LDBA Logical Database
    CNTX Context
    TYPE Type pool
    INTF Interface
    Only Examine Programs with Non-Activated Unicode Flag
    By default, the system only displays program objects that have not yet set the Unicode attribute. If you want to use UCCHECK to process program objects that have already set the attribute, you can deactivate this option.
    Only Objects with TADIR Entry
    By default, the system only displays program objects with a TADIR entry. If you want to examine programs that don't have a TADIR entry, for example locally generated programs without a package, you can deactivate this option.
    Exclude Packages $*
    By default, the system does not display program objects that are in a local, non-transportable package. If you want to examine programs that are in such a package, you can deactivate this option.
    Display Modified SAP Programs Also
    By default, SAP programs are not checked in customer systems. If you also want to check SAP programs that were modified in a customer system (see transaction SE95), you can activate this option.
    Maximum Number of Programs:
    To avoid timeouts or unexpectedly long waiting times, the maximum number of program objects is preset to 50. If you want to examine more objects, you must increase the maximum number or run a SAMT scan (general program set processing). The latter also has the advantage that the data is stored persistently. Proceed as follows:
    - Call transaction SAMT
    - Create task with program RSUNISCAN_FINAL, subroutine SAMT_SEARCH
    For further information refer to documentation for transaction SAMT.
    Displaying Points that Cannot Be Analyzed Statically
    If you choose this option, you get an overview of the program points, where a static check for Unicode syntax errors is not possible. This can be the case if, for example, parameters or field symbols are not typed or you are accessing a field or structure with variable length/offset. At these points the system only tests at runtime whether the code is sufficient for the stricter Unicode tests. If possible, you should assign types to the variables used, otherwise you must check runtime behavior after the Unicode attribute has been set.
    To be able to differentiate between your own and foreign code (for example when using standard includes or generated includes), there is a selection option for the includes to be displayed. By default, the system excludes the standard includes of the view maintenance LSVIM* from the display, because they cause a large number of messages that are not relevant for the Unicode conversion. It is recommended that you also exclude the generated function group-specific includes of the view maintenance (usually L<function group name>F00 and L<function group name>I00) from the display.
    Similarly to the process in the extended syntax check, you can hide the warning using the pseudo comment ("#EC *).
    Applikation-Specific Checks
    These checks indicate program points that represent a public interface but are not Unicode-compatible. Under Unicode, the corresponding interfaces change according to the referenced documentation and must be adapted appropriately.
    View Maintenance
    Parts of the view maintenance generated in older releases are not Unicode-compatible. The relevant parts can be regenerated with a service report.
    UPLOAD/DOWNLOAD
    The function modules UPLOAD, DOWNLOAD or WS_UPLOAD and WS_DOWNLOAD are obsolete and cannot run under Unicode. Refer to the documentation for these modules to find out which routines serve as replacements.

  • WEB DYNPRO ALV GRID  GET SELECTED ROWS...

    I'm reusing component ALV Grid ...
    How can i get selected rows...

    Hi Stephan,
    In order to get the multiple rows which were selected by the user you will just have to call the get_selected_elements method of if_wd_context_node. So as you can see its no different from how you would get the multiple rows selected by the user in a table ui element. First get the reference of the node which you have used to bind to the ALV & then call this method on it.
    METHOD get_selected_rows .
      DATA: temp TYPE string.
      DATA: lr_node TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node,
                wa_temp  TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element,
                ls_node1 TYPE wd_this->element_node_flighttab,
                lt_node1 TYPE wd_this->elements_node_flighttab.
      lr_node = wd_context->get_child_node( name = 'NODE_FLIGHTTAB' ).
    " This would now contain the references of all the selected rows
      lt_temp = lr_node->get_selected_elements( ).
        LOOP AT lt_temp INTO wa_temp.
    " Use the references to get the exact row data
          CALL METHOD wa_temp->get_static_attributes
            IMPORTING
              static_attributes = ls_node1.
          APPEND ls_node1 TO lt_node1.
          CLEAR ls_node1.
        ENDLOOP.
    ENDMETHOD.
    Hope this helps resolve your problem.

  • ALV + webdynpro

    Hey all,
    I made a simple Web Dynpro application that does the following:
    //example: User gives in name of a xbox-game, clicks on search and then he gets the info in an ALV table...
    This works all fine.
    .but I would like the user to be able to click on the game he wants (in the alv table) and that he can order this..
    so I want to know what the user selected in the alv-table and use this information...
    I have searched a lot, but haven't find anything that I understand or can use...
    Maybe other ideas to make a sort of a product-ordering-program? (simple,little version....)
    Hope someone can help me...
    Kind Regards,

    Can be done in 2 ways:
    a) You create a button( function ) on ALV toolbar named as Order, and when user selects the ALV row and click on  Order button required functionality is triggered
    b) Other way could be to create a button " Order" in each row of a ALV ( Button Column ), and then on press of button do the user action.
    I would prefer option 1, to implement this, you can read the lead selected element from the context node bound to ALV ( check the method of interface if_wd_context_node ), to create button on ALV you have to write a code something like this
    *-----create details button for ALV
      LR_FUNCTION_SETTINGS->IF_SALV_WD_FUNCTION_SETTINGS~CREATE_FUNCTION(
        EXPORTING
          ID     = 'BTN_DISPLAY_DET'
        RECEIVING
          VALUE  = display_function ).
    * set button and tool tip text
      LV_BUTTON_TEXT = WD_ASSIST->IF_WD_COMPONENT_ASSISTANCE~GET_TEXT( '007' ).
      CREATE OBJECT lo_own_button.
      lo_own_button->set_text( LV_BUTTON_TEXT ).
      LV_BUTTON_Tooltip = WD_ASSIST->IF_WD_COMPONENT_ASSISTANCE~GET_TEXT( '008' ).
      CALL METHOD LO_OWN_BUTTON->SET_TOOLTIP
        EXPORTING
          VALUE = LV_BUTTON_Tooltip.
      display_function->set_editor( lo_own_button  ).
    data declaration are as follows:
      DATA: display_function        TYPE REF TO CL_SALV_WD_FUNCTION,
            lo_own_button           TYPE REF TO cl_salv_wd_fe_button.
    Once you have created you own button you can create an event handler for ON_FUNCTION event of ALV and based on the button ID  r_param->id, you can write the respective code in the block for that button id.
    Hope this helps

  • Display Page numbers in ALV

    Hi,
    I would like to know how to display page numbers in an ALv display(both grid display and list display).I tried to use the system variable sy-pagno .But couldn't get the desired output.

    Hi,
    I don't think you will be able to display page numbers in case of ALV Grid, unless you are in the list view. In case you are using the ALV Grid, you have to implement the top_of_page method (an event handler) for ALV Grid class and write the page number there. The page numbers will be displayed once you choose the list view.
    Hope this helps.

    i have to check something (at event data_changed of cl_gui_alv_grid), after the user click delete row in an editable ALV. If any expression is true, then the deleted row should not be deleted, it should be undo.
    Have anyone a idea to undo this deleting-function.
    Best regards
    Andreas

    hi,
      SAP provides provision for overwriting the functionality of standard buttons displayed in the ALV. You have write a subroutine in which your code has to be executed. That subroutine will be executed during the runtime,
    when a standard button has been clicked.
    if you are using the function module to display the data, you have to pass the program name to I_CALLBACK_PROGRAM  ,subroutine name to I_CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND.  Refer below code.
    CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'
    EXPORTING
    i_callback_program = sy-repid
    * I_CALLBACK_PF_STATUS_SET = 'SET_PF_STATUS'
    i_callback_user_command = 'USER_COMMAND1'
    i_callback_top_of_page = 'TOP_OF_PAGE'
    * I_BACKGROUND_ID = 'ALV_BACKGROUND'
    i_grid_title = i_title_vbfa
    is_layout = i_layout
    it_fieldcat = i_fldcat[]
    it_sort = i_sort
    it_events = i_event
    TABLES
    t_outtab = it_so1
    FORM user_command1 USING r_ucomm LIKE sy-ucomm
    rs_selfield TYPE slis_selfield.
    *CASE R_UCOMM .
    * WHEN '&IC1' .
    * IF rs_selfield-FIELDNAME = 'VBELN' .
    * ENDIF .
    * WHEN OTHERS .
    * ENDCASE .
    CLEAR wa_so.
    REFRESH: it_del1 .
    IF r_ucomm = '&IC1' AND rs_selfield-fieldname = 'VBELN' AND
    rs_selfield-value IS NOT INITIAL.
    READ TABLE it_so1 INTO wa_so INDEX rs_selfield-tabindex.
    IF sy-subrc = 0.
    LOOP AT it_vbfa INTO wa_vbfa WHERE vbelv = wa_so-vbeln
    AND posnv = wa_so-posnr.
    READ TABLE it_del_ful INTO wa_it_del_ful
    WITH KEY vbeln = wa_vbfa-vbelv
    posnr = wa_vbfa-posnn.
    IF sy-subrc = 0.
    CLEAR wa_del.
    MOVE wa_it_del_ful TO wa_del.
    APPEND wa_del TO it_del1.
    ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
    ENDIF.
    ENDIF.

  • Difference between normal funcation and ALV funcational module

    Hi Gurus,
    Please answer for this question
    what is the differnce between normal funcation and ALV funcational module ?
    Thanks/Radha.

    Hi,
    There are two ways of reporting List report and alv report.
    the normal write statement usage gives us  a listt report.
    But ALV report offers a good asthetic report output. It almost function as your Excel File .
    You can do many functions Total ,Subtotaling,sorting,filtering,
    etc.
    There two ways to do ALV report i.e. using function module REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY and using OOPS concept.

  • Add a Button in a table header Webdynpro

    Hi all,
    how can'i add a button in a table header ? and how/where schould be implemented?
    thank you all

    Hi,
    If you want to create Some custom buttons in ALV, you need to write some coding.
    Please go through this...
    ALV with user-defined buttons on toolbar in wd abap
    Re: Adding custom button in standard toolbar in ALV
    If you want to create button is table toolbar. steps :
    1. create TABLE UI Element in view - go to ROOT UI ELEMENT CONTAINER( right side here you find inserted Table ) - Right click on that ->you fined one option INSERT TOOLBAR, click this-> it will insert Toolbar again right click on this tool bar-> You wil find insert
    toolbar element->select Toolbar button. It will insert toolbar and buttons.
    Cheers,
    Kris.

  • Thread 1 cannot allocate new log, sequence 1558 Checkpoint not complete

    hi,
    i m working on oracle 10g rac database on aix machine . i m getting this error on peck time
    Thread 1 cannot allocate new log, sequence 1558 Checkpoint not complete
    i read lots of documents and they asked to increase size of redo file or add more redo files.
    can u plz describe me y m i getting this error ? & how adding redo file can help in this error.
    thxs

    when yours current redo log filled and then started to switch another log then checkpoint occurs ,this checkpoint started to write dirty buffer from buffer cache to datafile , you cannot reuse this logfile unless checkpoint process writes alls dirty buffer from buffer cache to disk which contained this redo log file.If you attempt to reuse the same log file which cause to checkpoint upon log switch then you will get this error.
    Typically this error comes where yours number of redo log switches occuring too frequently or you have less number of redo logs.
    lets say if you have 2 redolog file A and B,yours A redolog filled and then oracle switch from redo log A to B,checkpoint occurs,DBWRn started to write dirty buffer to disk meanwhile yours redo log B also get filled antoher log switch occurs to be attempt to reuse redo log file A ,but redo log A will not be entertain unless the previous checpoint completed to write alls dirty block from buffer cache to hard disk which is contained thats redo log A.
    Adding redo log will be helpful in this case that redo log will switch to another new added redo log say C and A log file will get more time to be completed checkpoint which he/she contains contents.
