Rfc input problem

Hi
I am calling a RFC in Webdynpro which saves an order in R/3 database
It has 3 fields Order no, date from date to
when i execute this RFc using data
Order no 0030
date from 12.10.2008
date to   12.10.2008
the order gets created .Now wen i pass these parameters from dynpro and debug into abap these values arent passed.the values arent reflected there.
I ve chked my code also my mapping also data has been passed in right format in the model node.
pls help me out !!!!!!
in short i cant pass the model import parameters i set in webdynpro to abap...

check ur set parameters properly.
Execute bapi only after setting all the import parameters.
even if any one is left null,the data wont be saved.
incase user is not filling any value,try giving some default value.
Also the format of date that you are filling through webdynpro java should be same as in R/3 system.
Like if in R/3 it is in format 02.02.2007,in Web dynpro java also it should be 02.02.2007 and not 02/02/2007.
check this.
i hope mine solution will sort out your problem.
if problem still persists,there may be some problem in r/3.get it corrected at backend then.

    Hi,
    SAP Note 730870 FAQ: XI 3.0 RfcAdapter Q.no 15
    <i>Q 15: Whats wrong when the error message "lookup of alternativeServiceIdentifier via CPA-cache failed" shows up while sending a RFC call to the RfcAdapter?
    A: A RFC sender channel is located beneath a service within the Integration Directory. Within this service choose "Service" -> "Adapter-Specific Identifiers". The values in the fields "R/3 System ID" and "Client" has to be maintained with the correct values of the system, that sends the RFC call to the RfcAdapter. It normaly only makes sense to have these values filled for services of type "Business System". If maintained in SLD, this fields will be filled automaticaly for services of type "Business System" and can be updated with the button "Compare with System Landscape Directory".</i>
    - Give correct appserver and gateway service details in XI.
    - Open the service holding the RFC adapter you are trying to use. On the top menu, goto Service -> Adapter Specific Identifiers..

  • Acroread 8.x CJK input problem

    See also https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=353251
    CJK input doesnt work right in the English version of
    acroead 8.1.1 or the pre-release version 8.1.2.
    First of all, one needs to set
    export GTK_IM_MODULE=xim
    to make acroread react at all to the hotkey which triggers
    SCIM input (default hotkeys on openSUSE are Shift+Space and Control+Space).
    When GTK_IM_MODULE=scim or GTK_IM_MODULE=scim-bridge, acroread
    wont react to the hotkey which enables SCIM at all.
    With GTK_IM_MODULE=xim, the scim input method *can* be
    enabled by Shift+Space. But it doesnt work right.
    One can see correct Japanese in the popups shown by scim when
    converting phonetics to Chinese characters. But the predit string
    shows garbage which seems to resemble Arabic. And after comitting
    everything typed is converted to question marks (acroread 8.1.1)
    or boxes (acroread 8.1.2).
    I am talking about the *English* versions of acroread here, not
    localized Japanese versions like e.g.
    ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/unix/8.x/8.1.1/jpn
    As it is not nice to have completely packages for each language, I
    hope that the different language versions can be merged into one in
    the long run.
    It would be very nice if there were only one basic version and to
    support other languages one only had to add fonts and translations and
    not exchange the binaries.

    Mike,
    Could you confirm if everything is working fine with the Japanese Reader
    downloaded from the Reader website? That'll be really strange since the Viewer
    binaries should be identical in the English and Japanese versions. The only
    difference in the 2 installers should be in the fonts and the resource
    libraries.

    OK, I tried with the special Japanese version of acroread (8.1.1)
    as well.
    There is no difference in behaviour between the Japanese acroread
    8.1.1 and the English acroread 8.1.1 and the English acroread 8.1.1 as
    far as the input problem reported here is concerned! All of them show
    the problem as reported here.
    But I found that it depends on the locale. If acroead is started
    in ja_JP.UTF-8 locale
    LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8 acroread
    the problem occurs as reported here.
    However, if acroread is started in ja_JP.eucJP locale
    LANG=ja_JP.eucJP acroread
    the Japanese input works fine! Thats the same with the Japanese and
    the English version of acroread.
    As UTF-8 locales are the default nowadays on most Linux distributions,
    it is important that this works not only in legacy locales like
    ja_JP.eucJP but also in ja_JP.UTF-8.

    The screen-shot seems to indicate you are trying to enter japanese characters
    in a standard GTK+ edit field. The core Reader code actually doesn't interact
    much with the control during the process of entry of text.
    Could you try the following -
    1. When the default locale is eucJP, what happens in a standard edit field in
    some other GTK+ app., for instance gtk-demo? If you don't have gtk-demo, you
    could even try the same thing in the Open dialog in the Adobe Reader, where you
    type the file name.
    2. If you don't export GTK_IM_MODULE=xim, can you make the IME appear in some
    other GTK+ app. like the gtk-demo?
    My guess is this (atleast point 1 above) may be a problem with GTK+, though we
    are investigating this at our end as well. Maybe an issue with the fonts that
    get loaded when the locale is UTF-8, vs eucJP. That's the reason, the
    characters loaded from the IME are showing as question marks.

    Gaurav Jain> 1. When the default locale is eucJP, what happens in a
    Gaurav Jain> standard edit field in some other GTK+ app., for instance
    Gaurav Jain> gtk-demo?
    In gtk-demo, Japanese input works both for ja_JP.eucJP locale
    *and* for ja_JP.UTF-8 locale.
    And it works for all values of GTK_IM_MODULE which I tried
    (GTK_IM_MODULE=xim, GTK_IM_MODULE=scim, and GTK_IM_MODULE=scim-bridge.
    Gaurav Jain> If you don't have gtk-demo, you could even try
    Gaurav Jain> the same thing in the Open dialog in the Adobe Reader,
    Gaurav Jain> where you type the file name.
    Japanese input in the Open dialog of the Adobe Reader behaves
    exactly like in the search field of the Adobe Reader:
    - works fine in ja_JP.eucJP locale
    (for all values of GTK_IM_MODULE)
    - does not work in ja_JP.UTF-8 locale
    (not for any of the above mentioned values of GTK_IM_MODULE)
    Gaurav Jain> 2. If you don't export GTK_IM_MODULE=xim, can you make
    Gaurav Jain> the IME appear in some other GTK+ app. like the gtk-demo?
    In gtk-demo the IME appears and works fine.
    In acroread, the IME appears for all values of GTK_IM_MODULE (xim,
    scim, scim-bridge) and input works fine in ja_JP.eucJP locale. In
    ja_JP.UTF-8 locale, the IME appears as well and input seems to be
    possible but the result is garbage as in my screen shot.

    I found that the problem occurs *only* with GTK_IM_MODULE=xim,
    contrary to what I wrote in comment #8.
    That was my fault, because I still had
    # Workaround for http://rudin.suse.de:8888/show_bug.cgi?id=85416
    # (see comment #37):
    export GTK_IM_MODULE=xim
    patched into the beginn of the acroread start-script.
    Apparently this is not needed anymore, input using
    GTK_IM_MODULE=scim and GTK_IM_MODULE=scim-bridge seems to
    work fine now in acroread 8.1.2.
    *But* the problem I described here occurs with GTK_IM_MODULE=xim.
    Sanika,
    can you reproduce the problem with GTK_IM_MODULE=xim ?

  • Help - using table as RFC input

    Dear all,
      I'm new to web dynpro.I've just created a program to create PI doc. I had already import the module as well as configure the JCO.
    Bapi_Matphysinv_Create_Input input = new Bapi_Matphysinv_Create_Input();
    wdContext.nodeBapi_Matphysinv_Create_Input().bind(input);
    input.setHead(new Bapi_Physinv_Create_Head());
    how should i declare the table as input for RFC? any example for using table as RFC input? i had already look into the TutWD_Flighlist...but it seems doesnt do me any good.. pls help and advice. Thank you.

    Hi Joan,
    1. Create a value node in your context.
    2. Add value attributes to this all those required for your input to BAPI(Keep its
        type same).
    3. Bind this node to table UI element and keep all the column type as input field
        so that you can enter value in that at runtime.
    4. Now in you action where you execute BAPI just before that set all these values from node to model node.
    eg.
    Bapi_Matphysinv_Create_Input input = new Bapi_Matphysinv_Create_Input();
    Bapi_Physinv_Create_Head() head =new Bapi_Physinv_Create_Head();
    for(int i=0; i<wdContext.node<valueNode>().size();i++)
    head.set<Attribute>(wdContext.<valueNode>().get<ValueNode>ElementAt(<index>).get<attributeName>);...
    input.addHead(head);
    wdContext.nodeBapi_Matphysinv_Create_Input().bind(input);
        try
        wdContext.currentBapi_Matphysinv_Create_InputElement().modelObject().execute();
        wdContext.nodeOutput().invalidate();
        catch(Exception e)

  • Recurring RFC connection problems

    Hi!
    I really need some help. We have been experiencing RFC problems for a few months now and our basis team have no clue as to what the problem might be. The problem is that on a daily basis we experience RFC connection problems. It usually happens at about 7am in the morning and lasts for an hour. After that the problem clears itself and for the rest of the day runs smoothly.
    We clearly see this problem on our RFC connection to the IBM MQ message server which handles all our incoming and outgoing IDOCS. This is however not the only RFC problem as we have also had RFC connection failures when switching between instances in SM51. This suggests to us that it is probably not a network issue, although the MQ server is housed in a different data center than the SAP servers.
    We are running ECC6 and our environment looks like this:
    4 hosts running 5 instances: 3 hosts with one instance and 1 host with 2 instances.
    While this problem is occurring you can do a connection test in SM59 to MQ which is usually successful. In SMGW we have picked up that it is trying to establish multiple connections to MQ, some connects successfully and some cannot connect. In ST11 in the RFC trace files the error message says that the MQ connection times out.
    While monitoring the MQ server we cannot pick up any problems. The MQ server itself seems to run without errors. The only problem is that it cannot connect to SAP to send IDOCS and SAP cannot connect to MQ. The load on the MQ server while this error occurs is minimal compared to the rest of the day.
    Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem might be? Are there any other places other than the ones mentioned in this mail where we can check for errors?
    Thank you in advance!
    Iwan

    Hi Marcelo,
    In SM59, just select the RFC and above in same screen you can see the options
    RFC----- Display Trace (Shift + F8)
    Check the trace file and see if there is any connection problem between the two system.

  • Solution for terminal input problem

    (my english is bad, sorry)
    Hi, this thread is for programmers who like console applications (ncurses based).
    As you all know, terminal emulators have a big problem with user input. Their input system is good for CLI, but really sucks when using full screen applications like vim, emacs, mc, ncmpc, htop, rtorrent, irssi (I mean all ncurses based or slang based which use cursor movement). Examples of this problem:
    - Ctrl-L and Ctrl-Shift-L generate the same single byte in the terminal; namely 0x0c. They are indistinct.
    - Ctrl-I and Tab generate the same single byte in the terminal; namely 0x09. They are indistinct.
    - UTF-8, Alt+letter, Esc-letter all generate the same bytes in the terminal. E.g. é vs. Alt+C Alt+) vs. Esc C Esc )
    But there is no simple and nice solution. Problems cannot be solved without fixing the terminal itself and without breaking some backward compatibility. But I think a lot of console-addicted programmers want to solve them.
    So, here is my way of solving this problem.
    http://nsf.110mb.com/termbox/termbox-concept.html
    The main idea is to add a new terminal mode called "RAW input". This mode will send special events almost directly from X11 to console application.
    On this page I introduced a simple demo application and an rxvt-unicode-9.02 patch.
    In this version of my hack, echoing in terminal is broken. You can't enable echo with this new mode yet. But I can solve this too.
    It is simple and needs a little bit more hacking of terminal. Terminal should start all input messages with unique escape sequence and when it receives echo of these messages, it should ignore them. But also terminal should send these input messages *with* usual symbols, so they can be echoed.
    So I want to know what do you think about all this.

    I think that you might want to find a more specialized place to get more valuable feedbacks. But also that I never noticed these input problems so it has never bothered me
    Yes, I think I should try usenet news groups
    These input problems are not so big deal, but when you want to use your keyboard at maximum, they kick your ass
    I discovered this problem when I was working on ncurses minimalistic replacement. But in the net there are talks about this too.

  • SOAP sync to RFC - Multiple lines in the RFC 'input'

    Hello everyone!
    I need a little 'insight help'/opinion.
    I had a cenario that was working just fine, SOAP Async to iDoc. In the cenario I received 1:n lines and send it to the iDoc. No problem at all.
    Now,  the analyst asked us to change this cenario to: SOAP Sync to RFC (I opposed that but.. it's their decision..)
    So, I created a RFC with NO IMPORTING AND EXPORTING and 2 TABLES. One table to receive 1:n lines as inputs of the data, and other table to give 1:n line as response of the process of that line.(the RFC is remote, so can be used by PI)
    When I test this RFC in R3 using transaction SE37, I am able to enter 1:n line in the input table, and get the 1:n line in the response table. And also, the data is inserted in my table. Perfect.
    When I import and use this RFC in PI, everything seems to be fine during mapping procedures and such, but when I execute the SOAP call, I get an mapping error. I was able to see that:
    1 - The Response from the RFC using PI is 'blank'. I mean, the mapping from the response of the RFC to my SOAP is 'null', that's why I´m getting the error mapping.
    2 - Tha data WAS NOT inserted into the table using PI. This worries me more.
    So, my question is, does PI understand the use of 2 tables (one as 'input' and other as 'output') from the RFC? - the RFC has no importing and exporting, only tables, as I've mentioned.
    Also, is this what I am trying to achieve here, possible? I mean, can I expect to use a RFC with multiple line as 'input' or PI only accepts 'parameters' as input?
    Thanks for the insight help!
    Ricardo Sancio Lóra
    Brazil

    but when I map anything from the response to my output, I get the mapping error, but if I map something constant it
    worked
    Did you test the mapping in IR using the Test tab of Interface/ Message mapping? If it is working for Constant and not for runtime (or other) values then it means that the mapping logic is not proper.
    But did you see when I say that the item was NOT inserted into the table in R3?
    Now the last check-point in XI.....is your RFC channel showing proper payload in RWB --> Component Monitoring --> Adapter Engine --> CC Monitoring?

    Abhishek.

  • RFC Implementation problems with SUP iOS

    Hi All,
    I have two RFCs, the first one is quite simple with two string inputs (defined as load parameters) and the output without any table. The Second one has several output tables and several inputs (String) including an Inputstructure.
    The first one is working fine, the second one doesnt work at all. I'm really sure that I implemented everything according to the Documenatation:
    Sybase Unwired Platform 2.1 > Sybase Unwired WorkSpace - Mobile Business Object Development 2.1 > Develop > Developing a Mobile Business Object > Creating Mobile Business Objects > Creating Multiple Mobile Business Objects From a Single Operation
    Are there any known pitfalls regarding the RFC implementation in SUP that are not documented? I'm trying to implent this RFC now for days and I'm not sure if its my fault or a bug in SUP....
    Thanks for any help

    If I understand your problem correctly you are not able to see the out parameters while creating an MBO in SUP? if that's the case, for multiple parameters as an out put you might have to implement a result checker, it will not turn up as an output while creating the MBO.

  • SOAP - XI - RFC - Input parameters

    Hi,
    I'm trying to develop a SOAP-> XI -> RFC scenario and now i'm facing the following problem: I'm invoking a RFC through XI but for some reason the input parameters are not reaching the RFC. The RFC response indicates that RFC is not receiving any input parameters from XI.
    I've already cleared the cache and de-activate and re-activate the rfc receiver communication channel.
    Anyone has a hint for this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Pedro Leal

    Pedro,
    Few weeks before I also faced the same issue. I'm not sure if it's bug or not.  You are directly sending the RFC structure using SOAP client  is it? I mean your Inbound and Outbound Structure are same.
    Do onething, just do the mapping and check, It will work for sure!

  • RFC -- XI problem

    Hello again guys,
      I am currently working on scenario from SAP to Legacy system using XI. The scenario is like this: RFC --> XI --> Legacy. I got no problem at all in the development server for R3 connecting to XI.
      However, when i transport the RFC to QA server of R3, then i execute my application in QAS of R3, it runs fine, but when i check in the SXMB_MONI, there are no messages at all. It seems that XI has not receive any call at all.
      I have already use a different communication channel which is for connection to my QAS R3 to XI using RFC sender adapter in the Sender Agreement.
      I cannot find anything wrong anymore in my configuration. But it seems the QAS is not calling XI at all.
      If any of you guys have any idea or advice of what sholud i check more please feel free. I would really appreciate your inputs. Thank you very much.
    NB: I have already checked my settings in SM59 as well in the QAS, and all the settings are the same with the ones that i used in development server R3.

    Hi Made,
    Have you checked Adapter Status in Adapter Monitor to make sure that massege is hittind adapter or not. if it is then it may not be able to call MessageServer or message may not be getting picked from queue of messageserver. Hope it helps to find the cause.

  • ABAP Coding for RFC inputs

    Hi,
    I am new to ABAP coding. I use the WebDynpro ABAP . In that I need to call a RFC and get the data into the portal. I need to pass some input paramer to RFC. How could I do in the ABAP programming ?
    thanks
    Suresh

    Hi suresh,
    What you are asking is a not a wdbdynpro specific doubt but it is more related to abap.So i think you need to get some information about creating and using FM and RFC  in abap.
    Well i would just try to give you the steps that you should follow.
    Step 1) Create a function module by using T CODE se37 make it remote enable i.e make it a RFC (you will ust need to check a radio button in properties tab)
    Step 2) In rfc try to define the importing and exporting parameters and write your logic in the coding section.
    Step 3) After creating RFC successully now u craete your webdynpro component and create a view inside the component.In view accrding to your business requirement you call this RFC in any of the methods i.e either in hooks methods or your custom methods .And pass the parameters to that rfc and get the results from the rfc.
    Well i think i have just given you the overview of the process so while development if get any problem feel free to ask

  • Perl SAP::Rfc - input tables - The specified type Typ rfcdes is unknown.

    I am pretty new to SAP and am working to understand the guts of it while also trying to do something useful, especially understanding how we could use Perl Sap::RFC.  I've been looking for days and making a little progress over time, but now I'm stuck.
    Problem Summary:
    I want to read the RFCDES table using RFC_READ_TABLE to get a dump of what's in there.   It is apparently too large for a plain RFC_READ_TABLE, but I discovered that by defining the fields that I want, I can get out what I need.  I did this by successfully executing RFC_READ_TABLE in SE37 for the RFCDES table by defining entries in the FIELDS table, but I can't figure out the right way to send a table as input to SAP via SAP::Rfc.
    Background:
    I am using SAP::Rfc v 1.55 on linux with 640,0,303 release of the rfcsdk.
    I am getting the error:
    RFC call failed: EXCEPT SYSTEM_FAILURE  GROUP   104     KEY     RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE        MESSAGE The specified type Typ rfcdes is unknown. at /home/<userid>/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi/SAP/Rfc.pm line 1055.
    Here is my code block (minus connect info):
    my $it = $rfc->discover("RFC_READ_TABLE");
    $it->QUERY_TABLE("rfcdes");
    $it->ROWCOUNT( 30 );
    $it->OPTIONS( ["NAME LIKE 'SAP%'"] );
    my $str = $it->tab('FIELDS')->structure; # I think this line is extraneous
    $it->FIELDS([{ FIELDNAME => "RFCDEST", OFFSET=> "000000", LENGTH => "000000",  FIELDTEXT=> ""}]);
    $rfc->callrfc( $it );
    $rfc->close();
    The parameters to FIELDS are what worked in SE37.  I would eventually like to return more than just rfcdest (such as RFCOPTIONS) but at this point, anything working would be good
    I have successfully done an RFC_READ_TABLE with SAP::Rfc (using the tables.pl example) so I'm pretty sure I have that working but I think the FIELDS input/output table is throwing me off.  Maybe I'm not understanding the array of hashes correctly?
    I have looked at the thread SAP-::Rfc with Perl which got me this far but I'm still missing something.  Can anyone please help?
    Thank you for your time.

    You might want to check out the newer SAPNW::Rfc.  Not sure what version system you're connecting to.
    Anyway, here's how I did RFC_READ_TABLE with SAP::Rfc years ago:
    my $IT = $RFC->discover("RFC_READ_TABLE");
    $IT->QUERY_TABLE('TBTCO');
    $IT->OPTIONS( ["ENDDATE = '$MAXDATE' AND ENDTIME > '$MAXTIME' OR ENDDATE > '$MAXDATE'"] );
    my @FLDARRAY = qw(JOBNAME JOBCOUNT JOBCLASS PERIODIC REAXSERVER RELUNAME SDLUNAME
    AUTHCKMAN EVENTID SDLSTRTDT SDLSTRTTM STRTDATE STRTTIME ENDDATE ENDTIME STATUS);
    $IT->FIELDS([@FLDARRAY]);
    $RFC->callrfc( $IT );
    print "Num Rows in PRD matching selection criteria: ".$IT->tab('DATA')->rowCount()." \n";
    for my $ROW ( $IT->DATA ) {
       #do stuff;
    $RFC->close();
    Cheers,
    David.
    For reference, here's my wiki profile, where you can find my blogs on SAPNW::Rfc, and some sample scripts.

  • FILE-RFC ADAPTER problem

    Hi all,
    I am trying file->xi->rfc adapter scenario.
    My scenario is employee information is written to flat file n  will be kept on ftp server.THe file adapter will pickup the file and sends it to rfc adapter through pipeline service.
    This is going well. The problem is the data is not being updated into receiving sap system.
    in SXMB_MONI transaction the messages are successully processed . But there are no messges in rfc adapter when i gone through idx5 transaction???
    Any one have idea??
    Thanks in advance.
    Rgds,
    Ram Sri

    sxmb_moni only shows the status of the integration engine's processing, not the result of what happened in the rfc call.  First, you can check if the adapter framework successfully passed the message to the destination system (not on moni, thru RWB)
    as far as did the rfc succeed - it's as difficult as always with internal processing.  We did a lot of testing by debugging modules on the destination side (manually putting in the data as the adapter would've to step thru & see where the message is "lost") - have not yet found a better way, sorry.  It's not so much a problem with XI, just in general the difficulty to debug rfc's

  • RFC connection problem

    Hello All,
    We are setting up communication between R/3 4.7 and SCM 5.0 system for EWM (Extended warehouse management) with RFC connection and using IDocs to transfer data from one box to another box.
    IDoc from R/3 to SCM system is working fine, we are able to complete the transactions in SCM system and after successful completion all transaction in SCM it should trigger Idoc for R/3 which is not happening.
    It throws error as <b>"An RFC destination could not be specified for the logical system XXXCLNT123"</b>
    We have checked SM59 (RFC connection), WE20 (Partner profile), WE21 ( IDoc port connection) it seems fine.
    Interesting thing is we are able to get information about stock from R/3 system in SCM system which are correct information.
    Can anyone give some idea if we are missing something to check?
    Thanks & regards
    Arif Mansuri

    Hi Team,
    We have the same problem , which was mentioned above. Please let us know, which Message type need to be used for sending the stock information to ERP after Delivery completion
    The following Process we followed
    PO Creation---ERP
    Inbound delivery-ERP
    Inbound Delivery Process-EWM
    WareHouse Task-EWM
    Unloading-EWM
    WareHouse Task/WareHouse Order Confirmation-EWM
    Once the WT/WO is confirmed , Goods receipt status is updated automatically and "Post Processing Framwork (PPF) status shows with RED and error message says."An RFC destination could not be specified for the logical system E6SCLNT900"
    Here I have one doubt, We have maintained client names as A0000039 (for EWM,but original client name is SC7CLNT100 ) and E6SCLNT900 ( for ERP , original client name also E6SCLNT900)
    Will there be any issue with A0000039?(because we did not maintained as per the original client name ie SC7CLNT100)
    Thank you for your help
    Thank you
