I guess you need to enable the Urdu language support in the browser as well.

    Hi DurgaSrinivas_886836 ,
    You should post your query on Oracle E Business Suite forums, not here.
    You are trying to compile Forms 10g with f60gen, and using all the settings of Forms 6. That is obviously wrong.
    You need to use the correct commands for 10g, frmcmp from the bin folder of DevSuite10g home. Trying random combinations will not get you anywhere. Read the documentation for 10g.
    Better post on EBS forum. There may be other issues like no support for 10g in EBS 11.5.xx.xx that you are using.

  • Performace problem with 10g forms

    We have just migrated from 6i forms to 10g forms. The application takes a lot of time to load each form. In the status bar I can see the it is trying to open each gif file of the forms menu.
    one question, if I have created a jar of all the gifs, where will the applet pick it up from. Right now I have a jar that is put in /forms/java as well as a virtual directory pointitn to a path on my hp-ux server which has all the gifs and it seems like the applet picks it up from the virtual directory path.
    Navigating through a hierarchical tree is also much slower.
    Have i missed out something?

  • URL Problem Oracle 10g Forms and Reports

    Hello Room,
    As this question is related to forms and reports both, I have posted it here. I have a system which needs to be deployed in Local Lan Network and also the same Local Lan user should be able to access the same application via internet. In Addition there are also suppliers, customers who dosen't have oracle installed but will be accessing forms and reports via the url through internet which will be a natted url to our public IP. I have loaded Oracle 11g on windows 7 and all my network clients are on windows 7. I have not loaded forms and reports 10g on server, but only database 11g is installed on server. My problem is listed in points below:-
    1. Do I need to install forms and reports on server to achieve the above scenario ? or the local network installation of forms and reports on all client PC's will do ?
    2. To start OC4J instance, shall i start it only on server through batch file while booting server, or it needs to be started on all client PC's to start work from client end ?
    3. When i run forms from my client PC I get local url http://127.0.0.1/ to reach forms servlet which end up in http://localpc/.... from cookie redirect, whether this needs to be http://server/...... on all client PC's to reach the forms servlet ?
    4. If I have to start url http://server/ instead of http://127.0.0.1/... automatically while running every form to reach forms servlet, how to achieve this ?
    5. There are reports to be run from forms and parameters needs to be passed in reports from forms 10g. So in web.show_document shall i refer to absolute url for local acccess or http://server url as the same user can go to internet to access the data. ?
    6. if I load forms and reports 10g on server, do I need to install forms and reports on client end seperately to gain access in local network ?
    7. My forms and reports folders are located on server which are shared for access.
    8. What will be the scenario in case of suppliers and customers who does not have anything installed on their PC and will access forms and reports through internet ?
    I want to minimize my work. Please suggest me how to proceed about accessing forms, passing url from forms to reports in web.show_document, and Internet access url ?
    Your help is highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    I have tried to explain you in decent way several times that I am not lazy and there are reasons that I do not want to read pdf, because I have already read that all ! In the future please do not respond to my thread. I am not asking for your personal time. If you do not understand my efforts. Just ignore it. I have read all the white papers of Oracle and give me your email id, I will send you all the code which I have read or downloaded. You should know that the knowledge diminish as the technology change. And that does not mean every user in the forum is stupid and as wise as you are. I repeat to state that I have 15 years of experience in Oracle forms 6i._ including Oracle 7,8,9i. This is the first time I am ever visiting oracle forums since past several years. I was the first person to use oracle 7 in my city where people were not knowing what oracle is. At that time I was knowing that the password for scott is tiger which even the reputed institutes in my city was not knowing. at that time I was also knowing that one of the person from oracle made a mistake in indexing the rowid. I think this should be enough to you for now.

  • French Langauge Problem In 10g Forms

    Hi All Experts,
    Earlier we had migrated our application to oracle 10g from 6i.
    Now the client is not able to type french characters on the form for examle when we use Ctrl+Comma+c on M.S word file this character (ç) prints on the file.But when we use same combination on form is not working simple (c) is printing on the text item item.
    Strange thing is that in version 6i it was working fine and there was no extra work done on 6i form.
    I hope there will be some solution for this problem from experts.
    Thanks
    Sandeep

    We can not change the parameter NLS_LANG.
    There was wrap style property set to word of that field , but when we changed to character it was working fine for some characters.

  • Error in forms Compilation in 10g. Internal Error Problem.

    Hi,
    I am involved in Migration of Oracle Forms, currently running on 9i DS, to 10G DS.
    As of now there are no compilation issues encounted on 9i DS. But while compiling on 1oG DS, I am getting following error.
    Error 801 at line 1, Column 1
    Internal Error [hshuid: LU invalid].
    I am not able to interpret the problem. The form has PLL and OLB attached to it.
    Can any one come across such problem or can suggest for any possible option to get out of it.?
    Thanks in Advance,
    Jagadeesh.

    Hi Michael,
    Thanks for your early reply.
    Below are the details.
    1. Which product versions are involved? Do not use marketing names - use x.x.x.x format. For example 9.0.4.3
    --Forms [32 bit] Version 10.12.0.12
    --Oracle Database 10g enterprise edition Release 10.2..0.3.0 - 64 bit
    2. On which platform are you trying to compile these modules?
    --Windows XP
    3. What is the database version to which you are connecting?
    --Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.3.0 - 64bit
    4. Are you compiling in the correct order? You should (in most cases) compile PLLs then MMBs then FMBs.
    --Yes, I compiled in the same order. But still getting the same error.
    5. 801 probably a PL/SQL error. Is it possible that you are using an obsolete built-in or other command?
    --Yes, I too felt it is a oracle error. But i was expecting a ORA before it.
    6. Which ever version you are using, have you installed the latest patch for that version? The latest for 10g Release 1 is 9.0.4.3 and the latest for 10g Release 2 is 10.1.2.2
    --I need to contact DBA's to get to know about the patch.
    I will update you on Patch side, Meanwhile could you guess, what might have went wrong.?

  • 10g Form Developer Quits on compiling Forms connected to Sybase tables.

    Dear Experts,
    We have configured the connectivity for Sybase database with our oracle 9i database. using Hetero Geneous Service i.e using System_dsn ..etc.
    On this Sybase connectivity 6i Forms are compiling and running successfully But with 10g Forms while compling it just close the 10g form developer.
    For example....!
    In 6i forms On Button Press trigger below insert command works perfectly.
    But In 10g forms it say nothing and Just Quit.
    begin
    insert into *"sybase_table"@SYBASE_DSN_DBLINK*
    ("colum1","colum2")
    values
    ('value1','value2');
    commit;
    end;
    Please help to resolve this problem.
    Thanks
    Eidy

    Hello,
    1.) does it with with the forms compiler (frmcmp)?
    2.) did you try creating a synonym for your object:
    create synonym my_syn for sybase_table@SYBASE_DSN_DBLINK;and use this synonym?
    3.) Did you try it with the latest patchsets if you didn't apply them (10.1.2.3 for forms)?
    4.) Did you try it with another database version (9i reached sustaining support btw. so you might try it with e.g. 10.2)?
    5.) If everything fails you can put your logic in a database procedure and use that?
    cheers

  • Another Problem with Oracle Forms 10G

    Hi Experts;
    Previously I posted here a problem was having with Oracle Form, when I tried to execute it (Internet Explorer has closed this webpage to help protect your computer. A malfunctioning or malicious add-on has caused Internet Explorer to close this webpage) .
    However, with the help of a good Buddy of this forum, I could solved the problem and my forms were running properly. But today, i don't know how it's giving me a new problem. When I choose Run Form, I get this error (website restore error. Internet Explorer has stopped trying to restore this website. It appears that the website continues to have a problem.)
    Any suggestion to solve this problem?
    Thanks for your help.

  • Problem while running forms in the application server

    Hai,
    My forms were developed using oracle 10g in Windows platform.I have to deploy it in the LINUX application server 10g.I compiled all the forms at AS.One of my form calls another form and it passes parameters to other form.During development I gave the complete path like C:\foldername\formname.fmb in the OPEN_FORM
    statement.Whether it is the problem for the run time error 'FRM 47009' with the error message 'cannot create parameter list' !!! If so how should I give the path in the linux AS.
    I also want to know how to give the path in linux AS to include .mmx menu in my form.
    Thanks.........

    I am using Oracle 10g9.0.4 or 10.1.2 ? There are small differences between them, so it could be helpful to know the exact version.
    or it does nothing.For the moment don't use forms with parameter list, to avoid one more possible cause. Did you check sensitivity ? For example, if a form is called with name 'My_Form.fmx', and its name, on disk, is my_form.fmx or MY_FORM.fmx. or anything different, then it won't work.
    On form property page activate console window, to see errors, if any.
    Of course I'm assuming that test form works correctly....

  • Migrating Forms 61 to 10g - Forms Builder Crashing

    We are migrating from Forms 6i to 10g. The application works on a HP-UX box, and since we do not have the necessary setup done in the Unix box yet, we are trying to compile the forms in Windows before-hand to see if we can pre-empt some errors.
    I have written a batch command to compile the 6i forms in windows (Windows XP) by invoking the 10g Forms Builder.
    While it works like a charm for most of the forms (we have around 500 forms), there are a few forms for which the compiler/builder simply crashes. The .err file created for this form has absolutely nothing, it is a 0KB file.
    When I try opening such forms in Forms Dev 10g, and then compile them, the Dev crashes. It gives no indication of the error.
    By crashing I mean that windows throws the error message saying "Application has to be closed. Send error report: yes/no"
    Can someone please tell me if you faced such a problem, and how you went about solving it?

    Try a Compile All ( Ctrl - K ), then Ctrl - T.
    Not sure about XP, but in Vista, the 10g Builder and batch compiler will crash if a PLL Library is not available when the form is compiled.
    Make sure the PLL Library is available, and all its objects compile in the 10g setup.
    If that does not help, then try a semicolon-to-semicolon replace all, then save the fmb. Then restart the Forms Builder, and open the fmb again, and try compiling.
    Here is an old link describing the issue:

  • Can Oracle Forms compiled in 32-bit run in 64 bit without recompile ?

    My customer has a development machine running on HP-UX 10.2 and a production machine running on HP-UX 11.0 installed with 9IAS form server. Can Oracle Developer 6i be installed on the HP-UX 10.2 32-bit machine and the oracle forms compiled in a 32-bit machine be run on a HP-UX 64-bit machine ?
    Can somebody help ?

    Boy, this was a long time ago and not intended to reply to this particular question but for sharing my experience with 6i client/server development on linux 32bit and running (client/server deployment) on 64bit linux. I don't believe there is a 64bit 6i forms developer - it is 32 bit, so development must be on 32 bit and when you run on 64bit, then you will have library (missing) problems. My solution was to create a custom runtime which included all the related system libraries from the 32 bit for the client/server. This forms 6i custom runtime for client/server also included the patchset 18 and the 10g R2 instant client for sqlplus (to support xquery). All the forms development modules, make files, graphics, docs, etc was stripped out and then it became a lean client/server runtime for Linux (for both 32bit and 64bit). This custom runtime for client/server is technically not supported by Oracle and the 6i is close to its obsolescence (2008) - but it has been tested against 8,8.1.7.4, 9.2.0.8, 10g (R1 and R2) and XE and works like a champ. This does NOT work for 6i web deployment.

  • 10g Forms - 11g Forms with Object Library and PLLs

    Hey All,
    Our organization is working towards converting our existing Forms 10g architecture to 11g / Weblogic. I'm currently attempting to get the 11g Developers suite working locally, and hit a bit of a snag.
    I'm using Windows XP Prof SP3.
    Here is what I have working:
    * I got the correct version of WLS installed
    * I got the Dev suite itself installed
    * I can start and run WLS
    * I can open form builder, create a simple form, run it, it works.
    Here is where I am stuck:
    I am trying to get our existing 10g forms to compile and run under the 11g architecture. These forms were all developed using smart classes in an object library and all call various PLSQL procedures in a PLL file.
    I've done the following:
    * Recompiled all PLLs and menu modules using 11g compiler binaries
    * Made sure the FORMS_PATH registry key included where my PLX, OLB and FMX files are (under the correct, HOME key, I hope).
    * changed default.env file so FORMS_PATH points to where my PLX , OLB and FMX files are
    However, when I try to run any of the forms, I get the following error immediately :
    "FRM-93652: The runtime process has terminated abnormally.
    Contact your administrator.
    Details....
    Forms Session ID is formsapp.1"
    And in the trace file, there isn't much helpful information:

    Since I can create forms from scratch, it has SOMETHING to do with the subclassing / Object Library or the PLL/PLX. Can anyone give me any clues or hints? Is there any more tracing or logging I can turn on to get a better clue of the problem?
    Thanks!

    * ***NEVERMIND*** *
    I figured it out. I missed one of the the PLX files, and it was not recompiled under 11g. It is working now! Sorry to gum up the forum!

  • 10g Forms decode - [solved]

    A block in a 6i form is built on multiple tables joined in the where clause. An item Column Name property has a decode function. This works fine in 6i, however the 10g tool compiles but crashes upon build.
    Is this a bug or a wonderful Oracle "undocumented feature"?

    Ok, found the problem. ...Apparently, size matters. ;-)
    Using my test form above, I plugged your long statement into my form. I first had to remove the Carriage Returns, but otherwise, it compiled just fine at 6i, and failed in 10g.
    Taking out the spaces shortened the statement to 133 characters -- 10g still failed.
    By abbreviating 'criminal', I was able to get both versions to compile at length 123 or less.
    But as soon as I add a single character (even a space someplace), the 10g compiler fails at length 124.
    So it is a length problem, and not a decode problem.
    To fix the problem, make your problem column a non-base-table item, select l.criminal_level and s.criminal_sub_level into two hidden columns in the block, then in the post-query trigger, use pl/sql to display your column:
      If :Block1.criminal_level  = :Block1.criminal_sub_level then
         :Block1.derived_column := :Block1.criminal_level;
      Elsif :Block1.criminal_sub_level = '*' then
         :Block1.derived_column := :Block1.criminal_level || ' - ANY';
      Else
         :Block1.derived_column := :Block1.criminal_level || ' - ' || :Block1.criminal_sub_level;
      End if;
