RRI and 0CALDAY

Hy i have this problem: i create a RRI connection between query and web template.
The query have a variable on 0CALDAY but the problem is that when i doing the go to RRI procedure , the value on 0CALDAY is not trasmitted on web template.

Are you using same variable for cal month?
Pl. use same variable in both query & webtemplate for calmonth then it will work.

Is it possible to use a Java command to RRI and then Drill Down?

I am trying to build a Java command to jump from Report "A" to Report "B" through an RRI and then apply the same drill downs to report B as the user had entered in Report A. I want to use an RRI as this saves the user re-entering the selection criteria.
I can get the characteristics that have been drilled down through the command SAPBWGetDataProviderDimensions so all I need to do is complete the RRI and then reapply the same drill downs.
I've set the code to do an RRI and a simple drill down (see below) but it isn't working,it simply rebuilds the screen (IE no RRI nor expand).If I remove the EXPAND command the RRI works.

I also tried changing the dataprovider through the command RESET_DATA_PROVIDER, instead of using the RRI, but when I did this I am forced into the selection criteria screen, which the users want to avoid (as the variables are all the same).
Is what I'm trying to do possible?
Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
this is only possible with BW 3.5. There you have the possibility to add the parameter &rri=X to the RESET_DATA_PROVIDER command. This will result in transfering filters and variables to the new Query / View.
With RESET_DATA_PROVIDER you can create a command sequence.
It is not possible to have a command sequence influencing the result of the command RRI.

Question about 0CALWEEK and 0CALDAY

Hi BW Gurus,
The BW system I currently using is based on Fiscal Year Variant (V3).
If I need to do reporting based on Fiscal Week and Fiscal Date.
Can I use 0CALWEEK and 0CALDAY?
because as I've heard, the SAP BW will auto configure 0CALWEEK and 0CALDAY according to the Fiscal Year Variant (V3), is that true?
Or is there any mapping in transformation I need to add in order for 0CALWEEK and 0CALDAY display according to Fiscal Year Variant?

if you are assigning the fiscal year varient in the BW then i guess it will not take cal week as fiscal week...if your fiscal year varient is coming from ECC then it might be possible but not sure....
Usually FI functional consultants will define fiscal yr variant, fiscal periods and fiscal weeks in ECC. By global transfer settings we will get all the data into BI..

RRI and performance

I've a problem with RRI. The time that a WAD template report loads takes too long. I've checked it and it's not a problem of query runtime. the problem is that the source query sends too much information to the destination query. I want to control the information that is sent in order to improve performance of destination query. How do I do that, is it possible to control the data posted from source BEx query to destined WAD template?

Thanks for the answer, but I'm afraid it won't help my case. I am already deleting unnecessary fields. The case is that I have a field, let's say, movement number that I need to transfer but not all movement numbers. Let's say, that I want to transfer all movement numbers that are from Category A. The way it works now it transfers all movement numbers and the category to the destination WAD template. And the filtering according to category happens in the destination WAD (query). That is not good enough for me, because I am transferring too many records that aren't useful for me. I'd like to send only the movement numbers that are from category A.
Can you help me? Is it possible?

How do you make a jumpt to URL with RRI and multiple values (RSBBS)

I cannot for the life of me figure this out. I would like for a user to run a query on my sap portal. Put in a few restrictions, that could be multiples, example ZipCode 33333,45852,15454, CustomerAccounts = 'X', BusinessType = 'Y' etc etc...
When I use the RRI with a URL link it only sends one value per parameter at a time example
mybsppage.sample.htm?zip=33333%CustAcc=X&BusType=Y.
My problem is that I need all three Zipcodes, not just one. Has anyone found away to send values to BSP pages or anyother url, using a form post anything... Help...

You are correct in understanding that
OWSM Templates cannot be modified after its created.
You cannot change policy at one place and have it applied to all the services.
You can however use the template and create policiies and if you want to change any values for a particular service, you can do that.
Templates are more for combining individual steps into one template so that you can apply that to request or response pipeline and then add ore modify steps.
Since there is no default way to apply policy to many services, One work around i can think of is to look into content routing.

RRI and Cell referencing

Gurus,
I have a requirement where would require same charecteristic to be used in row and column for the query so i think there is no option to go for other than cell referencing.
there is also requirement to jump from the this query to another query ,will this work if i do cell referencing.

REgarding Assignment details in RRI

Now I have done RRI and this is working fine. There is one modification when I right click on 0calday that should not go to jump target(receiver query report). Hence, i have fixed delete type in assginment details in RSBBS for 0calday. Eventhough, it's going to receiver report. this should not happen.
Could u please help me?

I set Delete type only for 0calday characteristics. Even though when I right click on 0calday report, it's getting reflected for second query.

If you want to get it in Reporting itslef, you have to take 0CALDAY into rows and have to take 2 Formula variables. One FV is a Replacement path varibale with Characterstic = 0CALDAY ,Replace variable with = KEY and dimenaion indicator = Date .And another Fv should be a Customer exit variable with dimenaion indicator = Date .
In the code for 2nd variable , you will simply asign sy-datum.
These 2 variables are used in the formula as FV1-Fv2.

RRI Issue when jumping to TCode in R/3

Hi Experts,
I need to Jump through RRI (RSBBS) from BW summary query to BW detailed query and from BW detailed query to TCode WB23 in our requirement. So i have created two RRI's in BW dev system one from Summary to detailed report and other from Detailed Report to R/3 Tcode . Here in receiver tab i have selected the Source system as R/3 technical system and Info source as 2LIS and ran the report and everything is working fine.
When i moved the changes iam not able to drill down to WB23 from 2nd RRI and this is the short dump error iam getting in BW Quality system.
What Happened:
The function module "RSRR_REPORT_CALL" was called, but cannot be
found in the Function Library.
Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "SAPMSSY1" had to be terminated because one of the
statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
Error Analysis:
The program "SAPMSSY1" contains a CALL FUNCTION statement. The name
of the function module to be called is "RSRR_REPORT_CALL".
No function module exists with the name "RSRR_REPORT_CALL".
All function modules are stored in the Function Library (SE37).
Possible reasons:
a) Wrong name specified. Particular attention should be paid
    to upper/lower case and underscores ("_")
b) Transport error
c) If an enqueue/dequeue module has been used, the lock object
    may not have been activated (ABAP Dictionary)
    may not have been activated (ABAP Dictionary).
Did any one of you faced the same problem. If so can you suggest the solution. Thank in Advance.

I got the result.
I shall let you know the steps.
1. Go to RSSBS
2. Choose the sender.
3. Choose the Receiver assignment.
4. Choose the source system.
5. Transaction code : WB23.
6. Save the transaction.
7. See that you have authorization for WB23 in receiver system.
8. Execute the query upto the detailed query in BW.
9. Choose the Receiver T.code in BW.
10. Maintain the Server ip in the Browser and host file.
11. Voila !!! Here is your logion pad and once you log in here is your transaction.

RRi for query using ABAP program

For a report, we are using RRI (jump to target) functionality to see invoices in R/3 system using an ABAP program. I do not have much idea on R/3 systems how invoices are setup in R/3 Dev, test and prod. The ABAP report is done by a backend person. I need to place that in RSBBS. Here, my doubt is that do we need to follow the same procedure for this to move it to production system i.e, first create that RRI and ABAP in respective dev systems and transport both to test and then to Prod? Could anyone please explain me the steps on how this will work in real-time?

I am not able to find how the two reports are conncted.
You can check in RSBBS t-code. RRI will be defined here to jump from One Query yo another and many more options.
My work is to copy the parent query a nd do some modification to it. Please let me know how to check and achieve that.
You can do this BEx Query Designer itself.

How to determine 0calday from 0fiscper field ?

we have a requirement where the user will enter the calmonth variable in the user input, and need to get the amount for top 20 customer's on sales, in the report. The problem is we dont have calmonth in the infocube. we have only 0fiscper and 0fiscalyear , and -0calday.
0calday is mapped to the transaction date. No calmonth in the infocube and we cannot add it now. its too late.
The columns we need in the report are ( orange color are column names)
customer        YTD           DEC 2012 ( sales amount) ....for top 20 customers. like
customer 1      99999            900
customer 2      55555             200
customer 20      11111             234
sample data is as follows: ...what I want is user will input 0calmonth and 0fiscalyear. and I need to display the data for that month . Please advise how to achieve it. YTD - is 1st of jan of the current year till today's date right ? Irrespective of the user entry variable. Is that right ?

Now as per your suggestion, I have restricted Z_FY_INPUT to the KF, and created another ZYTD and put this as Z_FY_INPUT as replacement path and and put offshet as 2 to 4 on it.
Again i will clarfiy:
First selection--Revenue KF--Fiscper--variable--User input--Z_FY_INPUT--This selection will give the value of that period which user is entering.If user enters 004.2014 so it will give value for the same.Correct!
Now for YTD we need data from 001.2014 to 004.2014. correct..
A) Take the revenue KF--Drag and drop 0fiscper --Restrict--Show--Value ranges---Less than or equal to--Choose the variable Z_FY_INPUT.
B) Now again restrict the above selection with 0fiscyear--Create a characteristic variable with replacement path--Follow steps with screenshot as mentioned in the document.
So basically for YTD you have restricted with two variables based respectively on 0fiscper and 0fiscyear.
How this works let me explain that also.
In Part A i have restricted the kf with the same user input variable which you used in first selection but the range less that or equal to.
Till this stage if user enters 004.2014 then it will bring all the data which is less or equal to the user input which is not our requirement.We need data from the starting of the year upto user entered value.
In Part B we have restricted the same selection with replacement path variable on 0fiscyear--We are replacing it with variable entered by user.
So now this part will hold only the year i.e 2014..How--user entered 004.2014.
Internal format K42014004--Offset we have given 2 length 4..
Which gives 2014.
On combining both the parts we get data data from the starting of the year up to the user entered value.
I tried my level best to explain you how this works and believe me i have created YTD using the same method in so many queries and it really works as desired.

RRI not working for calling up transaction BI admin cockpit

Hi,
We have implemented BI admin cockpit and all technical contents and settings are OK, but when we try to navigate to call any transaction (Monitor, Process status TCode ST22, RSA1, RSMO, RSPC etc) by calling RRI than instead of getting the desired transaction screen we are getting the SAP Easy Access screen. Although we can navigate to Second level web template thru RRI and if we define target system other that BI (i.e. ECC or CRM) than we are able to navigate any transaction transaction i.e. SE38 or SE37 etc,
Any suggestion or help would be appriciated.

Passing Source Query Variables to Target query in RRI

Hello,
I Creating Jump Queries.
In the source query user is entering some variable(Dates), based on these varaibles I am creating formula variable in the source query.
I wanted pass the same varible values(which are entered by user) to target values(RRI) and use the same formula varaible in the target query.
Please advise me how can I do this.

Please refer to note 1053310 for complete details about RRI and application rules.
The variables are passed implicity but you can explicity defined the rules for varaibles as well. You can define assignment details as required. I hope this will help.
