RRI: Problem in Query to R/3 Transaction picking up all passed values.
We are having a problem with a jump query to R/3. We have BW 3.5
and ECC 5.0. The query successfully jumps to our R/3 transaction
(GD13 - Display Special Purpose Ledger) but it does not
prepopulate all of the fields in the GD13 selection parameters.
Our query in BW has results for both account and group account
fields, but only the account field prepopulates. Our users see
more importance in having the group account prepopulate. I have
tried specific field assignments in BW (transaction RSBBS). I
also tried to do a SAP repair and add a parameter ID to element
ALTKT on the R/3 side for the group account. But it did not seem
to help. After assigning parameter ID to R/3 side, I did not do
anything more on the BW side other than assign the parameter ID
to the assignment fields in RSBBS - report to report interface.
Does anybody have any suggestions or have ideas on further

Query a second form from another form by passing value
Hi,
I have two forms. I am trying to query a second form from another form. I have managed to display the query results in the second form by passing value from the first form. I did it according to the details in the Oracle 9ias Portal Technical FAQ html file.
It works fine when there is already a row in the first form. When I insert a new row in the first form and query the second form which has key from the first form, there is no matching rows displayed which is correct but detail action mode is 'NONE' for all detail rows.
According to the FAQ, it says the following:-
"When the called form is started, it executes a query with the supplied condition (in this case, "where deptno=10"). If the query is successful, the matching rows are displayed in Update mode. If no matching rows are found, the form starts in Insert mode."
It does not happen for me. I get NONE mode for no matching rows. Is this a BUG ? I am working on Portal version 3.0.9.8.0.
Is there something wrong in the code I wrote ? I would like to have all the detail mode as Insert.

The behaviour is OK as in the MD form there are two states "Save" and "Query and Save" and when the form is in "Query and Save" mode that means you can use it for both Query aswell as Save which is decided by your "Master action" if that is None it is used for Query , for Insert you will have to select Insert ,this is the Insert Mode behavior.
If you open a new MD form that is also in the "Query and Save" the same behaviour will be there.

Qyery problem in query generator

I have one problem regarding query generator.
I want to take the field value from the active form for query generator. I got in the demo that u have to use $[table.field]. But still I got the error.
Query which I tried.

Transaction Type field not getting value in F-05 transaction
Hi All,
When ever we are doing a reverse posting for foreign currency valuation using F.05 Tcode it will create a BDC session where we can execute this batch Input session thru SM37.
This will use F-05 Tcode to post the the entries, but the problem is one of the field Transaction Type is not getting value for some of the GL account numbers range. This is totally SAP standard program take cares of it. Transaction type field value shuld be populated by '990' value for this GL account range, this is fixed. So is thr any User exit or Screen exit for this Tcode or how we can populate the value....

I am having the same problem.
When running F.05 a BIM is created for GL account X. GL account X has a field status in which transaction type is defined as a required field because of BCS / ECCS. We have a substitution rule in place which should default the transaction type, based on several criteria. But when executing the BIM, I see that nothing is filled in field transaction type. Did you find a proper solution for your problem? Changing the field status is not an option in my opinion.

I am facing problem using RRI feature.
In my first Query I have Two customer Exit variables to fetch values of 2 dates and i am showing records for dates in between them. The query is working very fine.
Now jumping from this query to another Query which will display all data where a date(different info object than query 1) lies between two dates of previous query(which are customer exit variable).
I can filter data in my second query by applying range of values to both the customer exit variables of query 1.Please help.
Now I just want to know how to pass the values of the customer exit variables form query 1 to query 2.

You're trying to use Table Alias(T0), i'm guessing its not allowed. Try also to remove dbo, try @EMPA or just EMPA.

Error while RRI from BW reports to ECC CJI3 transaction

When we try to set up RRI from BW reports to ECC CJI3 transaction, we get an error message (Stop message):
You cannot use the report-report interface to call up report RKREP000

Always enter RKPEP000 as the receiver report for project line items in the report/report interface. This program uses the transfer parameters to determine which line item reports can be accessed.

We have attemped to use "S_ALR_87013543" as well but the parameters don't go through properly which means when a user jumps from a BW report, they end up at the ECC selection screen of S_ALR_87013543.
Drill through is working for our Cost Center reports. Just not this one in particular.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Flashback query on the v$transaction
hi All,
if i know the SCN just before the transaction commit, after the transaction is commit, I can use flashback query on the v$transaction to get the info about the transaction, such as undo segment number, used undo block.
Here comes the testcase, i use dbms_lock.sleep(6) because the smon_scn_time is updated every 6 seconds(Note ID: 281510.1)
the problem is that the flashback query on the v$transaction doest not work, no rows return at the last line.
any advice?

Query with SOST/ SOSB Transaction re. Sender is Releaser not Creater of PO

We have a query with SOST/ SOSB transaction.
It relates to Purchase orders and Release strategy
The name appearing on SOST / SOSB is the person who has 'released the Purchase order' and not the 'actual creater of the purchase order'
This is causing a problem as users who have created orders, cannot trace their own Purchase orders via SOSB transaction to see whether they have been sent correctly or any errors have occurred
Is there any way to resolve this problem ???

It works for Released FAXES, but for released EMAILED ORDERS, it is still showing the sender as the person who has released the order

Dear all,
I have this query which returns me the quantity received through inventory transfer window against quantity sent out through the same window. There can be multiple receipts against one dispatch (Jobwork) and the receipts are linked through a udf which carries the docnum of the document through which the material went out for jobwork. Now my problem is that the query throws me the balance quantity per row i.e suppose material sent out 10 nos and received 5 times 2 nos. The query shows me 8 as balance in all the five rows whereas I want the query to show me 6 in the 2nd row, 4 in 3rd row and so on. I hope I have made myself clear: Kindly help me with this query.

View with columns based on function - problem with query

I'm using Oracle 9i;
I've created a view which has columns based on a table columns (multiple columns from 1 table) and funtion (multiple columns based on 1 function).
The function takes ID as the first argument and name of the column to determine which value to return as the second one.
Here is a sample of such function (simplified):

There is no problem with query:
SELECT * FROM my_view;
The problem arises when I query the view (regardles of '=' or 'LIKE'):
SELECT * FROM my_view
WHERE name LIKE '%some_part_of_name%'
The query returns rows for same names, for same it doesn't. If I put '=' and the whole name the query returns nothing, but when I put 'LIKE' and the first letter it returns rows in some cases.
I've tried to debug this situation and I've discovered that the function recives ID not in the proper order and not the same amount of times - in explicit:
for each ID in (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, ... , 100) the function should be called twice for each ID and in the same order, but it does not.
I get 1, 1, 2, 3, 3, 6, 20, 20 and so on.
Help needed.
Greetings.The problem is more complicated than the solutions provided here.
The reason why I'm using the function is this:
the original view was constructed using multiple union all selects and the speed was terrible. I've created the index on the base table to obtain a proper sort. For retriving all records at once the view works perfectly, but if one wants to query by columns based on function the results are suprisng - sometimes there are, some times there are none, or if you serch with "like" and only a part of string there are results, but with "=" there are no results.

I got problem in query with the Document number
There are three columns in the cube 1) Document number 2) Country 3) Count
In the cube there are multiple entries for same document number as below.
Document number country Count
10000 US 1
10001 US 1
10002 US 1
10002 US 1
10002 US 1
10003 UK 1
10004 IN 1
10004 IN 1
When I ran the query on this cube for country US it shows count as 5 but I want count as 3 (i.e. it has to take count only once for the same document nos)
Similarly for country IN I want count as 1Hi,
You have to create a counter based on the document number (exception aggregation). There is a How-to paper available for this. It is called: How-to...count the occurences of a characteristic.

Hi I have problem when querying OLAP for value based hierarchy , for level based dimension it work fine
the strange part is if I only put one value, it will work perfectly
for example if I put only 1 value for that value base hierarchy like CF_HIER::426362, then it will get the correct value for that id 426362
but if I put multiple value to the list
CF_HIER::426362
CF_HIER::424470
CF_HIER::429073
CF_HIER::424230
then only some value will come out correctly, some of them will be 0, I wonder why because if I query using each value, then it show correct value
for multiple value usually only the top in hirarchy give correct value, but the leaf will give 0, but if I query only the leaf, the leaf will give correct value
this problem only happen for my value based hierarchy, for the level based hierarchy it work fine both for each value or multiple value in the list
