Run .esp file from lvws webservice failed

Hi,
I try to run the "output_html.esp" file (from attached labview esp web service example), but I can't do it :-(
In the Labview Project, I built (to "D:\LABVIEW WORK\Tests\web\builds\ESP Demo\ESP Demo Service\espdemo.lvws") and deployed the "ESP Demo Service" web service.
Then I've tried to run url "http://localhost/espdemo/html/11" in the Internet Explorer, because url "/html/:varnum" is defined in the ESP Demo Service" web service.
I can't run the esp page :-( Must I copy the .lvws file into "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2009\www" ?
Thanks
Hans

Hello
Thanks for your answer, now it finds the report, the url look like this : "/~biuser/Calls.xdo"
Now I have an other issue: the report I get is empty!
is this related to a security parameter in PIPublisher or something?

  • Running exe files from java applications

    Hello All,
    Is it possible to run executable files from java applications?
    I need to run an exe file on the client from the server machine, the exe could reside on either the server or any other machine on the LAN. Is it possible to specify the path of where the exe resides, and run it on a client machine?

    HI,
    I tried to launch a MS Word application using runtime.exec but it gives me some problem
    The foll. code to launch a txt file using notepad works.
    Runtime rt = Runtime.getRuntime();
    String[] callAndArgs = {"notepad.exe","C:\\coo7\\wizard.txt"};
    Process child = rt.exec(callAndArgs);
    However, oif I try to launch a MS Word application, it asks for the entire path of WINWORD.exe, (unlike just specifying notepad.exe as the first argument in String[] callAndArgs) and this can vary from one machine to another.. how do I get around this?
    The foll. code snippet works but the complete path of where WINWORD.exe might be installed on any machine, is not fixed:-(
    Runtime rt = Runtime.getRuntime();
    String[] callAndArgs = {"C:\\Program Files\\Office\\Office10\\WINWORD.exe","C:\\coo7\\wizard.doc"};
    Process child = rt.exec(callAndArgs);
    Any idea/suggestions pls..

  • Batch file from java class fails to copy from mapped drive

    I've some problem for a bacth file which XCOPY several files from folder to folder. If the source folder is a mapped network drive and I run the batch it works.
    But it fails with this error "Invalid drive specification" if I run it from within the java class. Everything is correct from the BATCH point of view as it works when I run it directly.
    I use Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command);where command is: "cmd /c C:\\just_for_test.bat".
    The batch file is:
    XCOPY /E G:\tmp\CD0005_Multi\*.* C:\Temp
    RD /S /Q G:\tmp\CD0005_Multi
    EXIT
    where G: is the mapped drive.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

    I used a batch-file to copy the specified files that looked like this in the end:
    net use s: \\192.168.200.7\e$ <passw> /USER:administrator
    s:
    COPY "S:\Temp\xxx.txt" "C:\Temp\xxx.txt"
    c:
    net use s: /deleteWhat happens is that i make a new mapped-connection to the harddrive
    and ending it after the copying-process is finished... Simple thingie.
    But, if you still want to copy the files through your program, do this:
    net use s: \\192.168.200.7\e$ <passw> /USER:administrator
    s:
    java myProgram
    c:
    net use s: /delete

  • Running  .class file from autoexec.bat (in Windows Xp environment)

    How to run a .class file from autoexec.bat file. I have WinXP installed on my PC. I tried the solution given by Forum memebers but they didn't work.
    after setting the classpath
    i wrote
    java -cp simple in autoexec.bat , but results were not satisfactory.

    What does "not satisfactory" mean? If the commans works from any .bat file, it'll work from autoexec.bat, too.
    May I ask what you're trying to accomplish? I'm not sure whether XP dtill uses autoexec.bat for console initialization after all.

  • Running batch files  from Java using exec method

    Hi,
    I want to run a batch file from my Java program like this:
    try {
    Process proc = Runtime.getRuntime().exec("C:\\Refresh.bat");
    catch (Exception e) {
    MessageBox.show(e.getMessage());
    Refresh.bat file contains two commands.
    First one unzips certain zip file.
    Second one refreshes a SQL Server database using osql utility.
    Problem is that when program is run it executes only the first command and hangs on the second one.
    Please help.
    TIA

    From the FAQ:
    2. How do you launch an external program on a Microsoft Windows platform from a program developed on the Java [tm] programming language?
    The following will launch notepad in Microsoft Windows NT:
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec("cmd /c notepad.exe");
    To launch a program in Microsoft Windows 95/98 use:
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec("c:\\windows\\notepad.exe");
    The Runtime class allows interaction between a program and its environment. The first string command instructs the command line interpretor, cmd to open up the calculator application.
    The exec() methods do not use a shell; any arguments must have the full pathname to the shell as well as the command itself.
    For example, to run a shell on the UNIX platform, type:
    Runtime rt = Runtime.getRuntime();
    Process p = rt.exec("/usr/bin/sh -c date");
    To run a batch file under Microsoft Windows 95/98:
    Process p = rt.exec("command.com /c c:\\mydir\\myfile.bat");
    To run a batch file under Microsoft Windows NT:
    Process p = rt.exec("cmd /c c:\\mydir\\myfile.bat");
    where 'cmd' and 'command.com' are the command-line interpreters for Microsoft Windows machines.
    The Runtime.exec() methods might not work effectively for some processes on certain platforms. Special care should be taken with native windowing, daemon, WIN16/DOS process or some shell scripts.

  • Running .bat files from java applications

    Has anyone tried to run a .bat file from a java application?
    I know I can run java commands by getting the application's runtime, but I've a number of *.bat files I like to run from the application without having to extract the commands from the .bat files.

  • Running bat-files from Java

    Hello,
    I have been trying to launch a bat-file from my Java code, running under windows, but with no success.
    Here is my simple code:
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec(new String[] {
             "C:\\temp\\test.bat"
          });This does nothing at all and generates no exception. Any suggestions?

    It seems java has a real problem with this... if you
    want to run another java program, for instance, you
    cannot do that either with String cmd="cmd.exe /C
    java myProgram"
    I need to pass parameters from one program into the
    program I'm going to open using java, that is why I
    need to call it from my first program. It can open
    executables and shortcuts, but has a real big problem
    doing things with the command line.No it doesn't have a problem with it. You just must be doing something wrong. By the way, since "java(.exe)" is already an executable, there's little value in wrapping that by the "cmd.exe" shell (unless you want to use the command shell for some reason such as passing the redirector (>) symbols to it to let it redirect stdout / stderr to a file)

    Is is possible to run the .jar file from within java code?
    Thanks for any help!

    Just list the jar in the classpath list and call the class in the jar.

    "cmd.exe C:\mybat.bat" is being passed to the OS for execution
    what happens when in a terminal/dos window you execute letter for letter:
    cmd.exe C:\mybat.bat
    The output will be identical to what is happening when java makes this call.
