Run forms in Forms 9i

I have one form made with the Forms 6i. I compile it in the Forms 9i without problems. When I go to execute, I get the Frm-92030 error. Somebody can help me?
I have 9iAS 1.0.2.1, 9iDS Release 2 and DB 8.1.7 in Win2000.

Are you having the problem with a simple one button form? And you do you have the problem if you run from the
Forms9i builder.
I do notice that you are running pm iAS 1.0.2 - this is Release 1 of iAS and only supports running the version of Forms
that comes with Release 1 (i.e. Forms 6i).
If you want to run Oracle9i Forms you would need iAS release 2

I have entries in my keymap file and I can call my reports via

FRM-92101 when trying to run forms from Forms Builder 10g

I have been struggling with this for a few days now and have tried multiple solutions around on these forums without any resolution yet!
Trying to run Forms Builder on a Windows XP machine with Oracle Development Suite 10.1.2.0.2 installed in its own ORACLE_HOME. The installation completes succesfully and I can start the OC4J instance.
1) When I open up Forms Builder and pull up the test.fmb form and try to run it, I get the following error:

Same issue here... Been trying to get this working since a week now. I tried all the solutions like memory heap and all but no luck.
One thing that I would like to know is that, in some threads the resolution was to recompile the INS_FORMS.MK file under /forms/lib32 but with my installation I don't have that "lib32" folder under /forms/ and I can not even find that file anywhere in my entire installation.
I am using 12.1.1 on Windows Server 2008.
Any help or guidelines is greatly appreciated.

When a report terminates with an error, REPORT_OBJECT_STATUS returns the value "TERMINATED_WITH_ERROR", which is 21 bytes of data, but rep_status is defined as 20 bytes. The 6502 error is due to the data not fitting the variable.
I recommend wrapping the REPORT_OBJECT_STATUS function with a SUBSTR that limits the data returned to 20 bytes, which will ensure the results fit.
For example:
rep_status := SUBSTR(REPORT_OBJECT_STATUS(v_rep), 1, 20);

i have changed entry in rwservlet.properties like
SINGLESIGNON=NO and i have removed the following entire block of 9irep.conf, which i have read from some documentation

i get the following error message when i run my form

i debugged the report id and it is

returned by Report_Job_Id := RUN_REPORT_OBJECT(Report_Id);
When I checked the Report Queue Manager
it is showing status like

and detail it shows is
Unable to connect to the specified database.
Now I am wondering what to do next.

Hello,
From your description, it seems like the report is faling due to a database authentication problem. When you run your report from Forms, Forms internally passes the its database connection information to Reports automatically. So ensure that you are connected to a valid database in Forms, before the report is called.
Please verify whether a simple report which does not require a database connection, for example, a report containing only a boilerplate text object, is running correctly. Also, in the trigger code that you have specified, you should add the following:
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(Report_Id, REPORT_DESTYPE, CACHE);
so that the report output gets generated to the server cache, and can be retrieved using rwservlet/getjobid.

What are the steps need to follow to run form from Forms 10g

Yes i have started the OC4J instance before running my form. I tried to run the test form but nothing is displying in IE or no seperate windows are openning after jini.exe window.

Report is taking too much time when running from parameter form

Dear All
I have developed report in oracle reports bulider 10g. while running it from report builder data is coming very fast.
But, If it is running from parameter form it is taking too much time to format report in PDF.
Please suggest any configuration or setting if anybody is having Idea.

Hi,
The first thing to check is whether the query is running to completion in TOAD. By default, TOAD just selects the first 50 rows, where as Discoverer must return all the rows before displaying results if a crosstab report is used.
Secondly, check that the queries and the explain plans are the same in Discoverer and Toad. Although, Discoverer shows the SQL in the SQL inspector this isn't necessarily the SQL actually sent to the database. Use TOAD to interogate the Discoverer session to determine the actual SQL and compare this SQL and explain plan to SQL you ran in TOAD.
Thirdly, check that the session context is the same in both cases. So check that any custom contexts and the USER_ENV context is the same, and if any security packages or VPD policies are used in the SQL that these have been initialised the same.
If you still cannot determine the difference then trace both sessions.

I want to run report from FORM. The report will save in PDF format then OPEN automatically in PDF
Every PDF file should have a unique file name.

Can't run form from Form Builder 10g - Port configuration problem?

I have installed the Database (10.2.0.1.0) and the Developer Suite (10.1.2.0.2) on two Linux machines (Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 4 Basic).
If I enter the frmservlet-URL manually everything seems to be fine.
In one case I enter http://127.0.0.1:8890/forms/frmservlet, in the other http://127.0.0.1:8889/forms/frmservlet; in BOTH cases I get eventually a dark square and the status bar says "Applet oracle.forms.engine.Main started".
HOWEVER, if I create a simple form with Form Builder and click on the Button with the green traffic light ("Run Form"), the form runs only on the machine where frmservlet listens on port 8890.
On the other machine (frmservlet configured to listen on port 8889) Firefox pops up, the URL "http://127.0.0.1:32979/6dOrpwghCqnp8PhMT7KVT533m3IaArqFbPqPBOztZXWYSsNy" gets called, and nothing else happens. The screen displays the string "ORACLE FORMS." and the status bar says "Waiting for 127.0.0.1...", and it stays like this forever.
I assume this is a port configuration problem, but I don't have a clue where to start.
Any suggestions how I should proceed are greatly appreciated.

I doublechecked my configuration.
In the dialog Edit --> Preferences --> Runtime the Application Server URL is set to "127.0.0.1:8889/forms/frmservlet".
However, when I attempt to run the form, the URL "http://127.0.0.1:33140/W2dwbV9eXS2fPkuKlxNhCxFWdEihwDviat2uV7ycrSotqwDN" gets called.
The screen displays the string "ORACLE FORMS." and the status bar says "Waiting for 127.0.0.1...", and that's it.
I wonder how the port number 33140 got selected. Interestingly, this time it is a different number; last time it was port 32979. In fact, the port number seems to change each time; I tried again and now it is 33189.
I will now try to set the port number for the frmservlet to 8890.
I choose Edit --> Preferences --> Runtime and set the application server URL to "127.0.0.1:8890/forms/frmservlet".
I stop the container, open /home/oracle/OraHome_1/j2ee/DevSuite/config/default-web-site.xml and change the port number to 8890:

I restart the container, start Form Builder, connect to the database, and open my test form.
When attempting to run the form, the URL "http://127.0.0.1:33437/Pl0n3ky9vmU5z37A7ScBnQhsGwq3jwuzJpgTAKWPMOYIzT8K" gets called (again a new port number, apparently picked radomly within a certain range) and nothing happens: "Waiting for 127.0.0.1...".
However, when I enter the URL http://127.0.0.1:8890/forms/frmservlet I do (eventually, after confirming that I trust the certificate etc.) get a darc rectangle and the status message "Applet oracle.forms.engine.Main started", which tells me that my setup can't be that far off target.

Run report from form in 9i

I cannot seem to get the 9ias Report Server to return the PDF file to my
browser when my Form runs a report form its menu. If I just send the server
the request
(http://mydomain:7777/reports/rwservlet?report=d:\path\report.rdf&userid=me/
pw@servertnsname&destype=cache&desformat=PDF) in the browser, it works fine;
but when I use the RUN_REPORT_OBJECT built_in from a Form (menu) to do (I
thought) the same thing, resulting PDF does not return to the browser.
Ideally, it should spawn a new browser window containing the displayed PDF.
The report properties in the calling form are FILENAME (d:\path\report.rdf),
BATCH, ASYNCHRONOUS, CACHE, REP_SERV_NAME, and USER_ID=me/pw@servertnsname
in Other Parameters. I know the report is executing properly because I have
examined the report server queue, and the completed job is listed.
How to I tell it to shoot the PDF back over the web to my browser?
This process was similar in the old client/server days when the destination
was PREVIEW, and RUNFORM took care of the data, but for the moment I am
baffled.

If calling your report works as you like in a browser, then use WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT to call out to that URL.

When run report from form(6i) on the web,error FRM-921000

While I was trying to run report from form (6i)on the web,it will give me this error
message FRM-921000 and hang.
But when I try to call form using form,I do
not have the problem.
May I know ehat is the cause?
Anybody encounter this before?

I am running Forms 6i on the web and attempting to call me report via RUN_REPORT_OBJECT. I am getting the same error as Jenny FRM-92100. I need to pass a parameter list so I don't think I can use WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT. Any ideas???

We have succesfully install OAS with Form Server and Report Server in
Unix. We able to run Form and Report direct from browser. But we having
problem to run Report from direct Form within the browser. The message from
the browser was 'The requested URL was not found'. We use run_product to run
report from form. Below is the statement:-
Run_Product(REPORTS, 'A10001', SYNCHRONOUS, RUNTIME, FILESYSTEM, pl_id,
NULL);
Does anyone have an idea??

How to run a customized form in Oracle Apps (EBS)

Oracle Apps - 11.5.10.2 on Linux As 4.5
Oracle Database Version : 9.2.0.6.0 on HP UX Itanium 11.23
Through (EBS)Apps can i run a Cutomized Form (Developed with D2K) , just like we run a report after
defining a Concurrent Program for the same.
If yes how to i do this.

The KCUSTEST.fmb is present under au top and the .fmx is only present under kcus top.Are you able to access the form from the application if you rename the fmx file under the CUSTOM_TOP directory?
There is one more issue, for testing i had registered a form KPAYDOCKET from from Application Developer ---> Application --> Form.
I have alreday deleted the .fmb and .fmx but still not able to delete the entry from Application Developer ---> Application --> Form
When i try to delete i get the error that the object is been referenced.Make sure the form is not not referenced in (Application > Function) and (Application > Menu).

Problems running Forms in Forms Builder 6.0.8.21.3

I have upgraded some Forms from 4.5 to 6i. I compile and run the forms in Forms Builder 6.0.8.21.3. However I have a problem when running a specific form. When I run the form directly from Forms Builder the problem do not appear.
But when I call the same form in Oracle Forms Runtime by calling the forms from the menu, the row with push buttons that I have defined do not appear.
I have faced a similar problem earlier and then I solve the problem changing the order of the Data Blocks in the Object Navigator. I have tried this, but so far it does not work. Do the order of the Data Blocks affect how the Forms will be displayed? What about the order of the Canvases? I hope someone can help me with this challenge.
I run win 2000 and do not get any runtime error messages.

the order of blocks does only influence the navigation but not the visibility. However, if the button bar is on a canvas that doesn't show if the focus isn't in it then having teh button block on top makes sure the focus is set there. Are the push bottons on a separate canvas or are they on the same canvas as your data ? If not, then how do you ensure that the stacked canvas gets displayed ? Anyway, running the Form from teh builder uses teh same client/server runtime that is used when running your application stand alone. So it must be something within teh navigation (I am guessing).
