Running on Weblogic Server 9 with XML mappings (JPA)

We have a project with a number of persistent classes configured through XML mapping files instead of annotations because it should also work under JDK 1.4.
It works perfect as a standalone client or set up in the server with a connection specified in the persistence.xml.
However when configuring it through a resource adapter as recommended for WLS9, I'm running into problems as there seems to be no way to specify that MetaData should be taken from an XML file when it comes to the JPA edition.
Eg. I'm missing the equivalent of:
<mapping-file>com/xyz/xxx/Service.orm.xml</mapping-file>So naturally I get an Exception like:
org.apache.openjpa.persistence.ArgumentException: There is no query with the name "findServiceByName" defined for any of the known persistent classes: null. And the server log also shows:
INFO   [[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '3' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] openjpa.MetaData - Found 0 classes with metadata in 20 milliseconds.Any suggestions on how to fix or work around this without introducing annotations?
Regards
Brian Jacobsen

Yes we are using named queries as well.
WLS 9.2, Kodo 4.1.2.
There are no entries in config.xml and no persistence.xml when running as recommended under WLS9 installation in the Kodo documentation.
Everything is configured in the ra.xml for the resource adapter. But the ra.xml specification only supports specification through annotated classes for JPA as far as I can decipher, which is what I tried to describe in the original post.
Eg. kodo.MetaDataFactory supports only classes through Type. There is no way to specify the equivalent mapping through XML files. See section 6.2 Metadata Factory in the Kodo Manual.
Kind regards

Can SAP Business One 8.8  be install and run in a server with a Peer to Peer Operative system?

You have more than one Oracle Release on the Server. hence more than one ORACLE_HOME.
Check which is your default ORACLE_HOME on the server and check which of the homes PERL5LIB environment variable is pointing from both command prompt and in Windows.
That could explain the funny bahaviour. If you change ORACLE_HOME, that could help.

  • Integrating WebLogic Server with CA SiteMinder Web Agent R6

Hi I have searched on the topic of integrating WebLogic Server with the CA SiteMinder Web Agent R6 to provide single sign on services, and have been unable to find anything. Does anyone have any experience with this that could provide some tips, or could direct me to some documentation?

It definitely can work. We have done the same thing in several installations. The question is "How secure does it need to be?" You will be using SM to do authentication. You will configure SSO to trust the SM header variable. If you really want to be secure you need to configure your boxes so that the http server on you SUSE box (for Portal) can only be accessed from the Reverse Proxy. If another machine can access it someone could spoof the header variable and log in as anyone they want.
    Hope this is helpful.

    Hi,
You can start your Weblogic Server with java 7(JDK 1.7)
Go to Domain_home/bin and click on StartWeblogic.cmd it will start your Admin Server
It depends on which JDK you have used while creating domain if you have selected Jdk 1.7 it will use the same to start the server

  • Integrating java application running on OC4J server with EP Iview

    Hi,
I Want to Integrate Java Application running on OC4J server with my Enterprise portal
Can any one please help me out in this??
    Regards
    Padma N

    Hi Padma
Its possible to integrate a java application running in the other server with enterprise portal. In portal i think there is a IView template call Java application template.Using this generally we can do this. But in you case what type of a java application is it?Just a class or webapplication or a server side application. This you can also acheive using a webdynpro applications as these are very flexible with integration into EP.In webdynpro you can use suspend and resume plugs to navigate from one application to other application.I have given my ideas how to implement. But integration mainly depends upon your landscape and version compatibilities and type of the application you need to integrate.
Hope this answer helps you in implementation.

  • Signed Applet running in weblogic server

    Hi ,
Im a newbie with applet. Can anyone help me to clarify below question.
    1. I have signed applet compile with jdk 1.4.2. It its running fine with JRE 1.4 and 1.4.2. However i need to upgrade the applet so that it can support JRE 1.6. Can anyone guide me regarding this issue as the applet will close if i running in jre 1.6. I got the below exception
    java.io.FilePermission<<allFiles>> execute.
    2. As i know, If i compiled the applet again, i need to signed the ja againr. I tried once and got below exception
ClassNotFoundException. can anyone give any idea how resolved this problem. Fyi, im using weblogic server 8.1
    Thanks.
    Regards

Normally, a 1.4 compiled and signed applet should work just fine under 1.6. No need to recompile and resign.
This is in theory and in my practice with my applets. Since you do have problems, please post here (copy and paste, don't paraphrase) full stack traces of the errors and relevant code where the error occurs.

    Hi,
First thing are you seeing any request coming to weblogic server? if not then,
What configuration you have added in server.xml and virtual server instance object conf file for weblogic integration.
    It is pretty straight forward,
    1. add weblogic plugin libproxy_61.so in plugin/weblogic directory on webserver.
    2. add WLS cluster server/ standalone server information in server.xml
    3. in object file create a new object of type="magnus-internal/directory" add WL specific configuration and then add condition to select WLS object created or make it default object for handling all request.
    Thanks,

    on Weblogic
6.1. I am also using struts on both the portal server and weblogic server.
The first time I access a jsp which is on weblogic from websphere portal I get
    it fine.
I have button on this jsp on submit of which another jsp on weblogic should come
    up.
The problem is that on click of the button the URL which is being formed is
    <ip of weblogic>/<path of portal server>.
I have no clue why this is happening and its driving me crazy.
Can anyone tell me whats happening?
    Thanks

    Siri-
This sounds like a URL rewriting issue with whatever proxy or tool you are using
to interface from WS to WLS. Basically, for the setup to work, any URL's that
are contained in the content served up by your WLS instance will have to be rewritten
such that your WS instance knows that the request is actually intended for the
    WLS server.
