Running the simulation program in RTX

Hi,
My simulation program runs fine with windows. Now I am trying to run it with RTX Eval version but the results which I get are not correct. There is no I/O interface in my system. I am giving fixed control inputs and want to view the plots on the screen. I have used Labview 8.0 and simulation module 2.0. Does the simulation module work fine with RTX?
Also, how to view the data on screen from the program running on the RTX? I am checking only the final value presently to verify my results.

Sorry this has taken so long to get a response, but I am going to need some more information before I can fully help you.
Just to verify, the results on the Windows system are correct, but they become incorrect when ran on the RTX?
What exactly is incorrect about the results?
Have you tried some LabVIEW examples on the RTX to make sure the output is what was expected?

Error when running the LabVIEW program

hello...........
I'm newbie in LabVIEW....I have a problem when i'm running the LabVIEW program...i want to analyse data using the LabVIEW through the real experiment....
My problem is, there is an Error when i try to start the program...This Error forced me to restart the program several times until it can run.......By the way, i'm using Picoscopes 3206 to connect the LabVIEW program in PC with the real experiment.....

You have to try to isolate the problem...
Use 'Diagram disable' or 'Case' structure to run special part of code or try write a specific code to access and manage your equipment.
Several questions could help:
- Are you up to date with your hardware driver?
- Do you call external ressources (ex: dll)? perhaps with instability
- Do you properly close connection with your equipment after using?
- With your offline mode, do you load all the code, including hardware driver or do you use a special method without no loading the specific code?
- When you are able to run after many tries, is the program stable? Can you re-start it without exiting LabVIEW?

Format changing after running the concurrent program for indentation

I have got an issue regarding indentation in rtf template. Actually in the template I have indentation or numbering in one format like david but after running the concurrent program in the temlate output I am getting the numbering in Latin letters. like

II
III
etc.
can anyone please send me the resolution for this issue.

What is the application release?
If you are on 11i, please make sure you have (Patch 8198363: INDENTATION PROBLEM WHILE GENERATING RTF OUTPUT USING RTF TEMPLATE) applied and check then.

RamyaWhy do you ask? It sounds like an odd question. Your program can be an applet and it doesn't need a main method in that case.

Prevent running the same program twice or more + some other..

I'm trying to figure out how to do the following
1) How can I prevent a user from running the same program more than once.
2)If a user try to shut down the computer while my program is running, I need to trap it down and save some data before terminating the program, how can I do it?

Once running the labview program which contain DAQ Assistant ,the message of "ERROR-50405....." appear.

Once running the labview program which contain DAQ Assistant and can be run without any error before, the message box of "ERROR-50405....." appear which capture down in the attachment. We use PCI6221 and LabVIEW 8.0 in Windows XP. I also found that the Device Manager of Window have recognized the PCI6221.
Any help on this situation would be great.

Hi~
This error is due to signal interference between the device and the computer. This could be environmental or due to the PCI Controller. You can on a different computer to see whether this problem persists.

When I close and restart, I can't open Firefox 4 without running the install program again.

I downloaded Firefox 4. It works fine. If I close it I can reopen it by clicking the desktop icon. But when I restart the PC (running Vista business 2007) the icon doesn't work. I get an error message. I need to re-run the installation program every time I restart my PC. Can you fix this?

You get message "firefox is still running" and computer restart doesn't help you. Try the advice below.
Make sure Firefox isn't running (end firefox.exe process in Task Manager or restart computer)
Find your profile folder
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default
find file "parent.lock" in it and delete it (the file is empty, its function is to signify to Firefox whether it's already open or not).
Then try to open Firefox again. Will it start or not? What will it say?

I got the same error while doing "dp.initialize()"
I fixed this error by chang the the "olap_api.jar class12.jar" to "o4j.jar".
But i can't explain that.
Can anyone tell me why?
By the way , the "olap_api.jar class12.jar" are copy from the %ORACLE_HOME%\10.2.0\db_1\olap\api\lib .

I have created a program which:
opens a file
reads the records and massages the records
writes the records to a new file
Launches a program that uses the resultant file.
The program was written on Windows xp MCE using Visual Studio 10. The resulting program works fine.
I places The executable and the input file onto a flashdrive, and then tested it on other machines.
Two of the machines are both Win 7 Pro 64bit with .Net 4. On one machine it works great. On the other I get a "File not found" error when starting the second process. This is the failing code:
The problem is with the Shell command. When I rewrite it as:
it works on both machines
So my question is: Why does exactly the same code (The same flashdrive was used on both machines) work on one machine and not the other (when both machenes appear to be at the same level)?
In both cases I verify the file exists in the correct place before I try to start it.
Any help would be appreciated.

The use of F is just an example. I use:
OutputPath = My.Application.Info.DirectoryPath 'Where app is run from (root)

to get the correct information.
Then
PTRName = OutputPath & "myprogram.exe"
BTW "myprogram.exe" is not the correct name it is just an example.
Sorry if this caused confusion
However all of this is not the point. If:
My.Computer.FileSystem.FileExists(PTRName)
is true then the file is in the right place. Therefore:
Retval = Shell(PTRName,4)
must also work. However it does not on some machines.
Is the problem in .Net, VB or VS because it is not in my code.
I have also used a routine similar to you (in VB6) to find a particular volume, but used the volume label. That worked better in my case.

Make sure you take package structure into account.
If you have say
package testing.things;
public class Test
public static void main(String[] args)
System.out.println("World Hello");
}in file Test.java, you compile it with (assuming your current working directory is at the folder in which the source file is located).
javac -d . Test.javaand run it with
java testing.things.TestThe -d . option creates the output at the current directory (with a folder structure matching your package structure).

Am not able to run the java program - pls help

1. I installed java in the below path
     c:\program files\java\jdk1.5.0
     c:\program files\java\jre1.5.0
I set the path in
     User variable i. variable name: path
          ii. variable value: c:\program files\java\jdk1.5.0\bin
when I compile it in command prompt-applying javac ? it performed successfully-shows
options like ?g create all debug info, -g : new Generate no debug info etc.,
But am not able to run the file. It shows error msg.
2. I specified the same name for file name & class name.

Is the java class you compiled/calling in the default package? If it is not, you will have to call it by the fully qualified name.
e.g.
package com.mycompany.myproject;
public class MyClass {
    public static void main(String[] args) { }
}This would be called as "Java com.mycompany.myproject.MyClass" and must contain a main method with signature as above.
You would have to call this from folder where the compiled classes are located. If using package, you would call from directory at level of top most package so com folder in this example as Java will look at each package name in qualified name and try to traverse directories with those same names to get to .class file matching class name specified. To avoid this, your newly compiled .class files must also be in your classpath.
