run Weblogic as Clustered in Win2k Pro ??.
and how to setup Multicast IP Address ?. I tried with the default 237.0.0.1
(using it with -D option to start the server) and other MultiCastIPs too I
          am having some problems :
Note : I dont have any weblogic cluster / other applications that use the
          above MIP.

  • Running Weblogic Server 10.3.3 in Debug  mode

    Hi to all,
Here i got a problem after installing Oracle Identity Manager 11g R3,to solve the issue i need to run WebLogic Server 10.3.3 in Debug mode.
Can any suggest how to run WebLogic Server 10.3.3 in Debug mode.
Here i find a solution to run in debug mode, but no difference in log files before and after changing debug mode.
Enable Debugging on the WebLogic Server
To start WebLogic Server in debug mode, you will need to modify the startWebLogic.cmd script in the <WLS-root>\wlserver_10.0\samples\domains\wl_server directory. <WLS-root> is the directory in which WebLogic 10.0.1 was installed into.
In the startWebLogic.cmd script, specify the JAVA OPTIONS with:
    set JAVA_OPTIONS=-Xdebug -Xnoagent -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,address=4000,server=y,suspend=n
Let me know if u have any questions,
    Thanks and Ragards,
    Satish

    Greg,
I cam across this issue too. It looks like there is a bug in sample script provided by weblogic documentation. We should not use ADMIN_URL as they mentioned in the script.
Remove it and try. For more info. please see this link helps:
    http://ananthkannan.blogspot.com/2009/10/weblogic-server-instance-as-window.html
    Thanks.

  • Statistics running Weblogic  on Win2k  verses Solaris/Unix

Does anyone know where I can find statistics such as this. I need
to know if there is a significant difference between:
Oracle 8i/Weblogic6.0 running on Solaris/Unix Environment
    Verses Win2K environment
Thanks a lot. All comments welcome.

    Hi,
Instead of Ping,Try telnet command to specific DB port from Weblogic Server to DB server
    You should get
    $ telnet ipaddress port
    Trying ipaddress...
    Connected to ipaddress.
    Escape character is '^]'.

    Fabian

Also, where is the download directory? (For prior versions, that sort of thing, don't you know.

Yes, Firefox 6 will run on Windows 2000 (including Windows 2000 Pro Server). For complete system requirements, see this link:

  • Win2k pro reboots on startup

I don't know if anyone has a take on this.
Turned on my computer 2 days ago, win2k startup screen appears, the blue bar completes, and then chkdsk appears. It runs, reports no problems w/ windows files/folders, and then  reboots!
This repeats ad nauseum. win2k starts up only in safe mode.
I checked for viruses and spyware. Nothing reported.
I ran emer disc repair. When it finished checking, computer reboots and reboots, and reboots.
Temp are ok in bios. 39c +/-  1-2c. No settings were changed.
IN normal startup, it will go to chkdsk, report no errors, and reboot.
I installed win2k Pro, sp4 about 2 months ago. Have had no problems since. I have not added any new programs recently. The last session experienced no lockups, & normal shutdown.
My system is: win2k-sp4 -fat32 file system
MSI K7N2 (6570) MB, Athlon XP 3200+, 1GB DD corsair memory (2-512mb sticks),  cooler master variable speed cpu cooler, ATI 9700 Pro video w/128mb, onboard sound,  60gb 7200rpm maxtor HD, TDK 40x CD burner, LS-120 floppy, SBC DSL with online protection- anti-spy & anti-virus,
Any ideas on this weird rebooting? I don't want to have to go thru a reinstall if I can fix this.

    Thanks All for your feedback.
The problem was my SBC DSL software was corrupted. Uninstalled it and the computer started right up. I'll reinstall it tomorrow.
The system log was the key. The error messages seem to point to network related issues.
There is a turn offf to the automatic boot, but it doesn't help.
I was about to reinstall win2k when I read your posts. Saved me a lot of hastle.
    Thanks again.

  • Error when starting Weblogic in debug mode

    Hi there
Has anyone experienced any difficulties when starting weblogic in debug mode.
More specifically, it cannot start correctly because it thinks that another instance

  • XP mode on Win7 Pro x64, windows xp update/svchost pushes CPU to 100% in virtual machine.

Installed xp mode on a win7 pro, dell 490 with xeon cpu. The install goes without error, win xp virtual machine loads nicely, I do not enable updates at the config during 1st startup. When Automatic update is enabled later control panel shows svchost is
pushing the cpu to 100% and the update never completes.

    Hi,
    1. try to run XP in safe mode by F8
    2. then change Automatic update service to Manual or Disable.
3.boot XP into normal mode and see weather its still 100%.
    thanks
How do you start safe mode when running XP Mode in Win 7?  When you start XP Mode, the BIOS is hidden.  By the time the XP Mode window comes up, its already loading the Windows desktop.

  • Devloper system configuration (weblogic in debug mode on Eclipse/windows)

    Hi,
I work on a project, which we may consider as big. Couple of thousads of java files, muilti-tired. We use, weblogic in eclipse on widows for development. Curreltly we have 1G ram on each of developer mechines. But most of us are complaining that, system is running slow in debug mode. Sometimes, we can't even work.
I greatly appreciate if somebody can point me to the URL or suggestion for good system configuration, so that we can work comfortably.
Just asking to increase the RAM may not help me in convencing the business/management. If there any specific recommandations by either by BEA or IBM (eclipse), that helps me a lot in raising the same to our buisness.
    Greatly appricate your suggestions

  • How to start weblogic in debug mode from BEA WebLogic Eclipse plugin

I have a problem making weblogic work with eclipse3.1. I am using a BEA WebLogic plugin to handle weblogic (start/stop) from eclipse. However I want to debug my application and I am unable to figure out a way to start my weblogic in debug mode like we do in WSAD. I tried using some other plugins also but no luck. Please suggest me a plugin to handle this or any other way of debugging my application from eclipse. I am using weblogic 8.1.

    Hi,
    Dev Environment
    weblogic eclipse plugin 2.0 beta
    weblogic server 8.1
    eclipse 3.1.1
Created a server that i would like to deploy my EJB so that i can put break points on my EJB in eclipse.
    How do i do it?
I managed to deploy an ear (containing the ejb) directly to the weblogic installed folder and it deployed the ejb. But the breakpoint set in eclipse is not triggered. Of course in this case as weblogic server is running the .ear file deployed manually in the file system.
    Any help is appreciated.

It just means that there's another process already binded to port 8320
you might want to see the output of netstat -a
BTW, what flags you switched on to run the server in debug mode?

  • JMS messages stuck in queue in weblogic v923 cluster

    Hi all,
    Enviornment details:
In our pre-production weblogic v923 cluster enviornment with Oracle 10g database, there are 10 server boxes with 2 managed nodes running on each server box in linux enviornment.
There are 3 JMS queues and 1 error queue per managed node.
All the queues are durable and the persitence store is a database table. There is a single database table per single managed node.
High loads of JMS messages from client applications coming on each of the 3 JMS queue are processed by the cluster on daily basis.
The JMS messages that failed to be processed the very first time due to the application logic exceptions are put on error queue since the retry is set to zero on the non-error queue.
The application exceptions are logged to a database table for futher reference.
The falied messages from the error queue are read by spring based MDP and resent to the application for reprocessing.
If no application exceptions, the message will be persisted in a relational database; in the case of failures, MDP code puts the failed message back on to the error queue.
The auto_ack is true on the JMS message.
It is observed about less than 1% of the messages fail the original processing and are in error queue on daily basis.
99.9% of the time, the reprocessing of the messages from the error queue is a success.
Currently due to some obvious reasons, the system administrator stops a managed node when the disk is full and start a different managed node on the same server box. This approach will be stopped in the very near future so that all nodes on all servers are running at any point of time by making few enviornment changes.
    Problem:
1a) Occasionally, it is observed that 1 - 4 JMS messages are stuck in the error queue. There are no signs of reprocessing as there are no application exceptions or the corresponing insert into the database. The JMS persistence store table still has the JMS message.
1b) It is observed that over time, the same JMS messages that were originally stuck on server 1's managed node A are no longer there but are found in a different node (say node B) on a different server box.
As far as I understand the JMS, a message could be in a Pending state if MDP (in my case) does not automatically send ACKNOWLEGMENT back due to an issue in the Spring Defaultlisternercontainer before calling MDP's onMessage(). I am not sure as what happens to that status over time).
It is also observed that the stuck messages content is not much different than the other messages that are processed fine.
    Any pointers/input is highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your valuable input and time.

Off the top of my head, I can only think of two reasons why a message might move from node to node:
    (A) An application is dequeueing them and enquening them elsewhere.
    (B) The application is using distributed queues, and the distributed queue has been configured to enable "queue forwarding". The forwarding feature automatically moves messages from distributed queue members that have no consumers to members that do have consumers. Queue forwarding is sometimes enabled as a work-around to better enable MDP support of WL distributed destinations, unlike WebLogic MDBs, MDPs have no container logic to ensure that all members of a distributed destination are serviced by a consumer under all circumstances...

    Tom

  • Installing Oracle 10g Forms and Reports in Cluster Mode

    Dear All,
My OS version is RHEL 4
In our current setup we have oracle 10g database two node  cluster and Application Server 10g to node cluster.
Currently our report server has been configured to run in standalone mode
I have been asked to configure oracle 10g forms and report server in cluster mode.
Please provide me with the documentation link to configure oracle 10g reports server in cluster mode.

my main goal is load balancing only
Then what I've done in 2007 might be what you need. In that thread there is a link to Web Cache Administrator's Guide : there you'll find everything you need to configure the web cache as a load balancer, particularly chapter 8 Setup and Configuration.
Anyway, here briefly some configurations : we have two machines, say MachineA and MachineB. The DNS resolves MachineA to a virtual address, which is normally assigned to MachineA; if MachineA crashes, it gets assigned to MachineB.
Users URL looks like this : http://MachineA:<port>/forms/frmservlet?config=<some config>
MachineA's web cache distributes connection requests between MachineA and MachineB.
Of course we're now using 11g as well, but that's another thing.

  • Safe mode disables spector pro?

Does anyone know Mac OSX safe mode disables Spector pro for Mac? Thanks in advance!

    Forgive me for oversimplifying Kappy:
But, a developer can program a third party service to run in safe mode. It actually involves
more than just a presence of a binary file in any certain directory. The plist startup parameters
and/or other factors actually govern that.
For instance, I have a third party eSata card installed in my Mac Pro. It is still fully functional
even in safe mode. Its startup instructions are actually in the /Library/StartupItems folder. It's
one of 6 items in that folder. It's the only one that launches in safe mode.
Sure, it legitimately launches and runs in safe mode, as the service provides necessary
disk services for OS X that may be needed in safe mode as well as regular mode.
The point is, starting a third party service or program in safe mode is no challenge to
a developer who would want to do it for whatever reason.
These cracker heads that write stealth programs like Spector Pro don't make them easily
detectable or easily circumvented. Typically they make them tough to detect and even
tougher to circumvent. One popular way to do that is to masquerade their services as
legitimate disk or other hardware services to avoid detection.
Now they (developer) may or may not even want to start their programs and/or services in
safe mode, but it certainly isn't wise to assume those services are not running when in safe mode,
especially if you are indeed, the intended prey of that software and not the hunter.
