Runtime exception while updating data
Hi All,
I'm getting a runtime exception while trying to update data to cube. It if full load and the error is like
"A RAISE statement in the program "SAPLSDIFRUNTIME" raised the exception
condition "NOT_FOUND".
Since the exception was not intercepted by a superior
program, processing was terminated."
The runtime exception is "RAISE_EXCEPTION".
Can anyone pls help me understand it and how to overcome it.
Thanks in advance,
Sananda
Hi,
Are you trying to load from DSO->Cube? or PSA->Cube?
Whatever the case, take an ABAPer's help and analyze the dump. You will get a clue.......

Error while updating data from DataStore object
Hi,
Currently we are upgrading BW3.5 to BI7.0 for technical only,
we found and errors during process chain run in further processing step. This step is basically a delta loading from DSO to Cube.
The error message are:
Error while updating data from DataStore object 0GLS_INV
Message no. RSMPC146
Job terminated in source system --> Request set to red
Message no. RSM078
That's all no further errors message can be explained clearly here from system.
I have applied SAP note 1152453 and reactivate the datasource, infosource, and data target.
Still no help here!?
Please advise if you encountered these errors before.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
David

JDBC SQL Exception while updating an SQL database
Hi Experts,
Recently i have encountered a JDBC SQL exception while updating aSQL database as below,
com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'SAP_UPLOAD' (structure 'Statement'): java.sql.SQLException: No more data to read from socket
the above system error didn't occur for all messages (so far happened twice), but i need to find an fix to overcome this system error.
did anybody came across the above system error, please help me to resolve.
ThanksHi bandana,
From SAP Note --> 831162
17. Receiver: java.sql.SQLException During First Message Processing
Q: When sending a message to a JDBC receiver channel for the first time after an extended inactivity period, I am observing a java.sql.SQLException in the adapter's processing, which refers to a closed connection or a timeout? What is causing this and how do I work around this problem?
A: The database server has apparently closed the adapter's JDBC connection from the server side. Nevertheless, the message should be processed successfully during the next retry. If you want to completely eliminate the symptoms, enable the setting "Advanced Mode" -> "Disconnect from database after each message processing". Note that this might have a negative performance impact for high-volume processing.
I would recommend you to go through the complete note !!! Very Informative .

Avoid customizing TR while updating data of SAP standard view
Hi all,
I am preparing TC for view V_T093C_01. View is SAP view and Requirement is to avoid customizing TR while updating data. Please suggest how we shall do that.
Thanks,
Krishna.Hi Krishna,
There is an attribute stored in the table/view maintenance dialogs, which say if there's a standard or custom transport routine to transport. By indicating a custom one, but without defining it, the system won't ask any transport request.
But I don't advise you to change it because:
- Changing this field is considered as a modification of the standard.
- why is it important that the system does not ask for a transport request? It is harmless!
Or is it that you want to allow changing it in production, in that case I would give another answer (by defining the "current settings")

how to solve this oneHi, vanaja,
"inserted value too large for column" - this is the reason for the exception. That is, you are trying to persist a value that exceeds the table column capacity.
What you can do is reduce the length of the data element you want to update, or, 2) first increase the relevant column maximum length, then try to update the table again.
If you choose 2), and if you are using the system database, then you can use Java Dictionary and follow [THIS|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/fe/53fb40f17af66fe10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm] procedure to increase the maximum length of a column.
Hope that helps!

Getting a Runtime Exception while inserting value in MSAccess 2000
I am using below mentioned code to insert values in MSAccess 2000 which having table structure as mentioned below:-
Field Name
Data Type
TodaysDate
Date/Time
Cart ID
Number
Client Name
Text
Team & Segment
Text
Duration
Number
Tape ID
Text
Start Date
Date/Time
End Date
Date/Time
Code:-
private boolean enterDataIntoMSAccessDatabaseusingPreparedStatement()
try {
ps = connection.prepareStatement("INSERT INTO [Cart ID Details] VALUES (?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?)");
System.out.println("After Query");
catch (SQLException se) {
generateErrorMessage("Error in Prepared Statement \n " + se.getMessage() );
return false;
catch (Exception e)
generateErrorMessage("Unexpected Error Occured \n " + e.getMessage());
String todaysDate = cartIDApplicationAddCartIDDatejTextField.getText().trim();
String cartID = cartIDApplicationAddCartIDCartIDjTextField.getText().trim();
String clientName = cartIDApplicationAddCartIDClientNamejTextField.getText().trim();
String teamSegment = cartIDApplicationAddCartIDTeamAndSegmentjTextField.getText().trim();
String duration = cartIDApplicationAddCartIDDurationjTextField.getText().trim();
String tapeID = cartIDApplicationAddCartIDTapeIDjTextField.getText().trim();
String startDate = cartIDApplicationAddCartIDStartDatejTextField.getText().trim();
String endDate = cartIDApplicationAddCartIDEndDatejTextField.getText().trim();
try {
//System.out.println("Before ps.setString()");
ps.setString(1, todaysDate);
ps.setString(2, cartID );
ps.setString(3, clientName);
ps.setString(4, teamSegment);
ps.setString(5, duration);
ps.setString(6, tapeID);
ps.setString(7, startDate);
ps.setString(8, endDate);
//System.out.println("After ps.setString()");
ps.executeUpdate();
catch (SQLException se) {
generateErrorMessage("Error while inserting data in database \n " + se.getMessage());
return false;
catch (Exception e)
generateErrorMessage("Unexpected Error Occured \n" + e.getMessage() );
return true;
The above boolean function is called in "Save Button" action event, but when I click Save I am getting as Runtime Exception.
Kindly help me to sort out this issue.Print stack traces not just messages. And it will tell you what is wrong. And if you posted the stack trace someone else might be able to tell you.
If you get an exception DO NOT CONTINUE. You can't do an update if the prepared statement failed so there is no point in trying. (Of course that depends on what 'generateErrorMessage' does)
Other than that note that you are using strings for everything even though the data types are not all text fields. -

Runtime error while loading data in BI 7.0
Hi All,
While loading data in BI 7.0,
I am getting Runtime Errors "TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED" . No more space available for extending internal table.
As per SAP BASIS SUPPORT comments:
"This is NOT a space problem but rather a huge memory resource consumption one, as you're trying to hold excessive amount of data in Memory, and that's when you get the short dump; I know that SAP sometimes is not clear in explaining the issue (ie "No more storage space available...."), but this refers to memory requirement, not disk storage space per se.
So, please try to break down your data load in smaller sets and this will work OK"
How to proceed with the above comments? How to break down data load in to smaller sets?
Please helpme....there could be various ways -
using selections / filters in Infopackage / DTPs based on may be some period or some other char you could identify based on your data.
Hope it helps

Error while updating data virtual provider data to targets
Hi,
We are getting error while trying to update data from virtual cube based on a function module in 2004s.
It seems that it is complaning about the mapping of 0recordmode to the targets. has anybody faced this problem? We are in SP10
ThanksI am sorry its not a cube but a direct update ODS to a basic ODS but both belongs to BCS. I have generated the export datasource multiple times but still no use.
The source ODS name (direct update from BCS) is called ZBCS_01Z and the target is called Z_AJ_ODS.
When I run the load I get "Job Terminated is source system" with message type X.
Here is some of parts of the dump:
Information on where terminated
Termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLUCI1" - in
"MAP_FIELDNAME_BW_2_SEM".
The main program was "SBIE0001 ".
In the source code you have the termination point in line 245
of the (Include) program "LUCI1F02".
The program "SAPLUCI1" was started as a background job.

Error while updating data to infocube
Hi BW Gurus,
I am trying to update data from PSA to a non cumulative infocube. However I am getting the following two errors while doing so.
Here is the detail of the error in the details tab.
Record 11534 :Value 'ETFHU224681М2 ' (hex. '00450054004600480055003200320034003600380031041C00') of
Error 4 in the update.
I checked the PSA for the erroneous record and found that
FHU224681М2 is the value of the 0material field.Hi..
Correcting the record from PSA is temporary solution depends on u r criticality....
Only Solution is to correct the record at source system level... Generally Material master data record is imp so just try to fix temporarily so that it vl not affect u r loads until it is corrected at Source System level..
Note: inform the problem to u r co-ordinator and try to correct it ASAP... and explain the temp solution(PSA correction)...
