RWTValDlist T ::find( ) C++ 5.5 Compile error

Folks:
I must be overlooking something obvious, but ask for your help on this one:
I'm in the process of moving some C++ code which compiles and runs
with the C++ 4.3 compiler to the Sun C++ 5.5 compiler. We've moved to
Sun Studio C++ 8 . I'm adhering to the migration docs, and compiling with
compat=4 on the CC command line. I'm using an older Rogue Wave library
(library=rwtools7), and am able to get a very complex program (including other
Rogue Wave objects) to compile fine- except for the RWTValDlist<T> ::find( ) function.
The RWTValDlist<T> class find function prototype is:
RWBoolean find (RWBoolean (*testFun)(const T&, void *), void * d, T& k ),
but it seems the compiler can't detect a matching prototype in my source.
I've reduced my source to a simpler example (see code sample below),
which anyone can cut and paste to try for themselves. The CC options
are shown below too.
Here's the actual compiler error message I get:
"test.C", line 83: Error: Could not find a match for
RWTValDlist<MyClass>::find(int(const MyClass*,void*), void*, MyClass*).
1 Error(s) detected.
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `test'
If anyone has any ideas on what my trouble is, please let me know!

If your code compiled wtih C++ 4.2, it should compile with C++ 5.5 using -compat=4, except for documented anachronisms that are no longer supported.
After adding a member "data" to MyClass, I find that C++ 4.2 gives the same message.
The two versions of "find" in RWTValDlist, when instantiated on type T, are these:
find ( const T & p , T & ret ) const
find ( RWBoolean ( * testFun ) ( const T & , void * ) , void * d , T & ret ) const
The problem is that no "find" member of RWTValDlist matches the argument types you provide, which is exactly what the compilers are telling you.
